I made mad progress when I first started, following the trick lists on a competitor’s site. Once I learned all those, it was kind of hard figuring out what I should be learning next. I had discovered YoYoTricks’ site while leaning the other guy’s tricks on their list, so it was a great companion site to have. It didn’t take long before I had outgrown the other site’s tricks, and even with all the tricks offered by this site, it was a bit of a nightmare trying to determine what to learn next. Now, with their updated site and app, it’s so much easier. It’s also very motivating to put a check in the boxed learned and to see my XP and rank increase, so I’m back to learning things at a much quicker pace. I’m not wasting nearly as much time searching for and perusing videos to try to determine what to learn next. Excellent update gentlemen (and ladies, if there are any)! Keep up the great work!

Corona yo-yo

I grew up in the fifties when yo-yos became the rage for kids. We lived in south Philadelphia and city kids were doing yo-yos all summer. Fast forward to 2019 I’m a music teacher and a bank donates 100 led yo-yo for our fundraiser. I was the only person in the music department who could make it work. The students liked my little tricks. When I retired June 2019 they gave me an engraved yo-yo. I now only teach guitar at the school and we were asked to send small videos for a fun Friday school Instagram post. We are trying to keep up morale now that we are all teaching from home due to Coronavirus. The students miss school and their friends. I decided to do a yo-yo trick and got over 1000 views on the first one. I’ve been encouraged to continue one each week and really don’t know that many tricks from 1955. That’s when I found your app and have been spending my extra time at home learning new tricks. I quickly realized that my yo-yo was holding me back so I took your recommendation and bought the Fizz. I immediately improved 100%. I’m really not very good but having fun and the kids get a laugh during this depressing time. So yes I give you a 5 star rating. Thanks

Great for learning yoyo not the greatest working app

I love this app and for usefulness I would rate it 5 stars but for functionality I would give it three because when you go to buy something from yo tricks using the app it always makes you login if you want your points (because it takes you to a web browser in the app not an actual app version of the store) and because it does this every time I log in to buy something I have to delete the app and redownload because it logs me out of my level up system and won’t let me log back into it unless I delete it. I’ve bought things from yo tricks multiple times now it’s one of my favorite company’s because of background and usefulness but this app is frustrating to be logged out every time I purchase something from the same company pls fix. I won’t stop buying stuff because if this issue but it’s been like 5 times now and it’s super irritating.

Great app with only one minor gripe

This app is basically perfect. I love it so much however there is one bothersome thing. If you are using it to watch tutorial videos it’s extremely hard to see the name of the video, the heart button, the check box, the back button, and other things. If you can’t see them you are forced to fumble around to get back to the video list just to use those buttons. This is because the borders around the video are white. The same color as the text. If either of those were black or any other dark color then this would not be an issue.

This app is awesome. I bought my 10 year old son a yo yo for Christmas and decided I would try it out again. I am 46 and haven’t used a yo yo since I was a kid. A couple months later I have 12 yo yos and am trying to figure out which one I want next. The app is great for learning tricks with the videos. My son and I have completed the screen time challenge and I am currently working on string tricks with a Duncan wind runner. I am awful at it. However, with the help of yo yo tricks, all there useful information and great products, I am sure I will have success, and a lot of fun along the way. Thanks!

I so wish this app existed when I started learning yo-yo

This app is absolutely fantastic and the fact that it’s free makes it even more awesome! Every yo-yo trick that you could ever think of at your fingertips and you don’t even have to be online if you download the ones you want first. I love the fact that when they’re teaching a trick in the app I can click on what yo-yo they’re using and have the option to buy that is awesome if you’re new at yo-yoing or you’re a seasoned pro this app is for you.

Greatest app ever!

I have been yoyoing for seven years now and have won multiple contests. When I first started it was very hard to find a place where I could learn how to yoyo. But then I found yotricks and that really improved my yoyoing a lot and I started buying yoyos from them and getting other people into yoyoing and then I have started working on a company for yoyoing and have really enjoyed everything along the way! Great App. I love throwing!

I’m getting into Yoyo by working at a call center. YoYoTricks is an amazing platform for learning. They make sure to tell you if you need to know any other tricks. Also the app never asked me to rate it. One feature that would be nice is a way to bookmark tricks you think you’ve mastered. Or if you master a trick it suggests what ones to do next. UPDATE: So like 4 days after I posted this they integrated the Level up feature it’s perfect!

Here’s an idea

First of all this app is phenomenal. I truly believe all the tutorials made and this app is leaving a big impact on the growth of the yoyo community. I was thinking something really cool that I would like to see in the app is a random trick generator that picks a trick from the tricks we “liked” to practice as a game/challenge. Maybe another idea would be to add a streak counter to this random trick generator for each trick done successfully. Love the app!

AWESOME APP one little thing though

I absolutely love this app this is what got me into yoyoing it is a super good app that has great videos that explain so well on how to do the tricks. My only feedback is maybe have a little section/folder of downloaded videos so it’s easier to find all the videos you’ve downloaded. Also I think it would be a great idea to have an option to see all of yo-yo tricks in the app categorized from least exp to most.

Good tricks, app is fixed (update!)

This app has great content, it’s great for looking up tricks, and the tutorials are great. The YoYoTricks has listened to the people and they have really made this a great app. All the old bugs and glitches are gone, and they’ve added a search function. I can wholeheartedly say this is a great app, and is essential for anyone starting to yo-yo. There are great tricks for advanced players as well! Great job YoYoTricks!

The videos are the best Yoyo instruction videos I’ve seen and they’re easy to learn from. If you want to learn.

This app has the best tutorials for learning some amazing tricks with a yo-yo. If you are just starting out or have been doing it for a while but can’t get over the hump. I have learned many strong tricks from their site over the past year or so. Before finding this site I couldn’t walk the dog now I can do binds and know the difference between responsive and nonresponsive yo-yos.

The best yo-yo app ever

Alright, let’s get this known this is the best app for learning how to yo-yo. For beginners and for pros will learn how to do yo-yo tricks and buy Yoyos. It is so awesome the only thing that is not great is that sometimes there stock is not always full and they don’t put a lot of vids out, but other than that great job yotricks. And plus they don’t have any ads. Amazing app you should get the app.

This is addictive! I’m learning the first 50 yoyo tricks, and loving it! I’ve bought yo-yos for my grandkids. It’s been a great way to connect with them, have lots of fun, and lots of laughs! I’m learning tricks for object lessons for Kids’Club at church, too. It’s also a fantastic stress reliever, down-time activity when you’re waiting, and diversion when you need a break.

Great instructional videos. Awesome tricks. Nearly perfect for those socially isolated!

Not sure what the guy’s name is but he’s a natural born teacher. I love that this is a small business and I make a point to purchase from them. The level up system is motivating. The only nit pick I have is that it would be great to be able to filter the videos by the type of yo-yo needed (responsive, looper, non-responsive). This has been fun to do with my daughters.

Extremely helpful

The app is clean and responsive. The videos are in depth and make learning to yoyo much easier. The level up system helps to keep track of progress and helps to find what to learn next. The discord server is friendly. Overall I think it’s an essential tool for beginners and veterans alike!

Great app

I found that this app really helped, and it really helped me learn many tricks. However, there are two things that bother me a bit and they are that the app can be a bit confusing to navigate as well as I wish you would do more first person stuff. Great app!

I need help

I’ve been watching this channel for a while now, and decided to get there app, but I couldn’t get anything to load, I’ve tried deleting and redownloading, I’ve deleted photos to clear up space, and I also deleted apps to clear up space. I checked and my internet connection is all good. If someone could help me please do, I really wish to be able to use this app.

Great app!

I have been yo-yoing for almost a year, great way to check off tricks, I have forgotten lots of tricks, with this app it allows me to go back and watch them again and the company is great too! Only thing I would change would be the option to change your profile background. It doesn’t have one.

This website got me into yo-yos. I love watching there videos. They also have trustworthy shipping. There are only two things bad about this site. Number one they don’t post a lot. Number two if they post they don’t put the video on there app. But besides that i love this company.

Best yo-yo instruction I’ve ever found

I love the app/website! I’ve been yo-yoing off and on since I was a kid (I’m a 46 year old child now...but I digress) and tried lots of tutorials to learn tricks. Your videos are by far the most effective I’ve ever found! I’ve become 3 times the yo-yo player I ever was in the two months I’ve used your app!

Awesome resource

Decided to buy a Yomega Fireball for nostalgia. Found this site now I have the Sage and started learning binds and playing around with an unresponsive yo-yo. If it wasn’t for this app/site I probably would have played with my Fireball a couple of times and never picked it up again. Thanks for making it so easy to find a new fun hobby!

It makes it easy to find what you need to find and it is very helpful in learning tricks and when you need to buy anything yo-yo. Loving Level Up!

I have been waiting for them to integrate the level up system into the app! I love being able to keep track of my progress and find new tricks so quickly. Best videos, best store online! Highly recommended. They even added search! 👏👏👏

Some weird issues that hose up the app

For whatever reason when I am logged into the app it thinks that I still need to download it and sends me to the App Store which seems to hose everything up. When I was shopping I can’t see the search icon and I can’t figure out a way to get back to it. Not sure if the app thinks I am on a computer.

I have on and off tried to learn 1a with very slow progress. With this learning things in a structured order has made it so much easier and faster. I highly recommend to anyone starting.

Free yo-yo college

Why pay more? Incredibly comprehensive. The level up system makes it easy to keep track of tricks you are working on as well as a fun leveling system provide incentive for learn more and more. These boys really tried to make this app as airtight as possible and they’ve landed practically spot on. Play yo-yo.

Amazing videos

I actually started yo-yoing because of my cousin, who’d grown to become an incredible yo-yo player in several years. The reason for that was this app! It’s so easy to use and it really feels like an in-person experience.

Good, but a bug with the new update,

I love this app, it’s very helpful for learning tricks and keeping progress. But I recently downloaded the new update which added the filter tricks feature. But every time I click it, the app crashes. Everything else works very well though, and overall a great app!

Under one year

I’ve heard of yoyoing when I was 6 and I wanted a yoyo but my parents couldn’t afford one and when I turned 13 I got my first yoyo (the sage) and this app was super helpful wether it would be maintenance, tricks, or reviews I always got the help I needed with the tricks Thankyou yo tricks for this app

Learn to YoYo

This app is awesome. Since they added the ability to download videos I have been able to learn tricks anywhere I go. Its awesome how they have everything laid out. Navigation is around the app is great. If you want to learn to yoyo I highly recommend this app.

I like the way it teaches you how to play and I love the leveling system it helps you no what you need learn before the trick you want to but if you’re already know it then you’re good overall the app is a good app if it’s what you’re looking for

I really like how this is set up to have everything you need to yo-yo. All the things you need to buy and all the tutorial videos. However, in the settings I was checking things out and I wanted to read the return policy but it wouldn’t work, I pressed it and it never opened up.

Excellent Instructions

I hadn’t touched a yoyo in almost 40 years and this app has gotten me to a level that I had not reached when I was a kid. Directions are clear, tips are great, and the extra angles help a lot!

Level UP not loading

The videos and product explanations have been very helpful for our family. I cannot get the level up feature to ever load on the app though. I created a new account with no luck. We did order the Fizz pack off of the app, looking forward to getting started!

Was good, now…not so much

I learned a whole bunch of tricks off this app but now since the update, it doesn’t seem to work well technically. I have to keep reinstalling the app to sign in and when I get in, all my trick lists are gone. Also, it has trouble loading info.
