I liked the app fine before, but now almost every story is a video. I don’t want a video, I want to read the story! If I wanted to watch a video, I would turn on the news.

I have this app because I want local news alerts. I mean, what else am I supposed to do? Buy a paper that comes out tomorrow morning? Actually sit in front of terrestrial television at a prescribed time? Use the competitors clone app (that curiously has the exact same notifications)? So, I'm stuck with this, although I do consider relegating local news to word of mouth again. What's my problem? You couldn't pay me to care about Husker sports. It's fine if you really care, but I don't. Yet, probably two-thirds of channel 8's notifications are about Husker sports. Instead of the convenience of near real-time local news, I find myself constantly batting away every trivial thing that happens in Husker Nation. Seriously, if you introduce a settings toggle to turn off the onslaught, I'll edit my review to five stars.

I had to delete the app. I’m not waiting through a 30 second ad to read something that takes 20 seconds. And I hate that it constantly goes back to an old story before going to the story list after reading a story from notifications, sometimes before even going to the story I clicked in notifications! And the news is often written by someone who apparently knows less about it than I do, like they are just trying to come up with things they think people will click. Apparently the app is so bad that it won’t let you create a nickname, so you can’t post, if you’ve written a bad review.

This new Lincoln News App is a huge improvement over previous versions.

Unusable for live stream.

All the other news apps I have contain most up to date information along with a long list of stories to choose from. This one shows 3 stories. That’s it! All the time! Tried to uninstall and reinstall assuming I had to update my app but that does nothing. Don’t waste your time!

Why did you take the live stream out of the app? Now it opens the web site and you can have it full screen on your phone. This was marginally useful app before, now it’s useless.

So it was never good to start off. Recently it has got worse they have only 1 story in the whole app. They have no point in having a app.

The app currently has no news stories at all. And the news team stinks now. I like rod and the main lady but everything els has gone down hill.

I get one current news story, and the next one is from January. I tried reloading the app, but got the same result. It’s worthless.

App shows same stories multiple times as you look down the page, making it harder to browse the news. Older version was easier and more user friendly.

Needs iPad app.

Great way to get the main headlines if you don't have time to watch the news on tv.

Overly organized and is a battery hog. Very great with keeping up to date with current events and the latest news!

Don't bother with this one - has a poor layout and is full of Adds - i won't waist my time on this one again! If you want an app that has a good layout for local news get the 10-11 news app - Much better!

This app is all you need to get news weather and sports from lincoln and surrounding areas!!!

At least it's free so I only wasted time not money ! I have had this app a month and it's never been updated. It's like they forgot about it.
