The BEST
This is the best app I’ve ever used. If you’re looking to get consistent with your workouts this is the app for you. When it was just Maddie, it was amazing… she is thorough in her explanations of each move while being encouraging and uplifting. There are workouts ranging from 5 to 45 minutes so you always have time . Workouts high and low impact Stretch and Strength Dancing … Maddie had it all… Then she brought on TWO more instructors who are incredible and teach Yoga and Barre. They both have all time frames and levels. You can also find delicious recipes (try the ricotta pancakes) all kinds of trackers and journaling prompts. I really believe that MadFit actually cares about our overall health and plain old happiness. Not just being a trendy fad diet and workout platform. I feel so good after every workout. Which I do everyday because it’s so easy to access and there’s always something I’m in the mood for. I’m stronger and more confident in my own skin than I’ve ever been. It’s all because of MadFit.

It’s a great app but…
This really is one of the best fitness apps I’ve seen. As far as offering variety and a list of exercises to do and amount of time to do them. It’s been great for my lifestyle right now which offers quick workouts that really work you out! My one complaint right now is that I wish there was a button that you could press to just say you’ve completed the workouts instead of so many individual buttons you have to click which may be necessary if you’re working out along with the videos but I like to do my own thing which gives me a few seconds to start and stop In-between workouts in case I need to chase a toddler or dog from getting into something! Also, I haven’t been able to complete my cardio exercise for my list which is annoying. So far the timer starts and there’s an exit button instead of that maybe offer a way to manually enter miles walked or ran and and a completed button or something other than just a timer. I use another app to track my runs anyways and this particular app doesn’t offer what that one does. Which is fine I’m not expecting this to be a runners app! But I would like to enter that I completed a workout if I completed it! Other than that I don’t have any other things to say. I enjoy the work and the quality of the work! I’m looking forward to seeing the results from this 12 week challenge I’ve started!

love but wish my achievements would save!
I’ve had the madfit app for about 4 weeks and I’ve loved it! I downloaded because I wanted to participate in the MOVE challenge. I’ve never done a workout challenge like that before and was really happy with this one. I pretty much only do workouts from the “real time” section, so hopefully maddie can come out with more soon. I haven’t even tried the workout programs because I can’t put it on the TV and I like to just press play and focus on my workout. My main complaint is that I’ve had the app for four weeks and have worked out every day (this has never happened to me before!) and yet none of the achievement badges have lit up (such as 15 workouts). It’s not the biggest deal but I would like the gratification of seeing my progress on that page. I’ve done 21 workouts and 100+ minutes, yet the screen only shows sad gray badges lol. Also, I get logged out pretty frequently. That’s not a huge deal but can be a little annoying when I’m ready to start my workout. Overall, I’m a big fan of the app and hope maddie comes out with more real time challenges and fixes the achievement badge glitch.

Good potential to be a great app but not there yet
I am a big fan of MadFit workouts and recently subscribed to the app to get into working out at home. The workouts are wonderful, it’s just the app itself that’s quite buggy. For one, you can’t precisely track your body metrics by typing in your own numbers; instead you have to press and hold the arrows to increase/decrease the numbers. The increments can be somewhat imprecise. The food tracker, while giving a modest slew of generally healthy food items to select from, is extremely limited. However that might be by design to prevent you from being overly obsessive. But if you like to be precise, you will find this very annoying. But I’m intrigued by her food points system for tracking your nutrition day to day and I’m interested in using this method to keep an eye toward my diet without strictly “dieting”. However some of the food measurements are flawed. For example, rice is measured by the tablespoon rather than cups. Who’s eating rice by the tablespoon?? Despite its flaws, I will keep using it for now because I think the pricing is fair and the workouts are good. However, I see myself not using the food tracker much in the future.

Amazing app, great potential!
This is an awesome, unique app that I’m excited to use. On the plus side, I love the feature of being able to listen to my own music while doing the workouts, and how it shows you how to do each exercise. I also like that you have the option to skip exercises or rests if you want. And using points instead of calorie counting for meals is so unique and user friendly! On the downside, I have had a few bugs with it, including the weight goal I’ve set changing on its own, and the half-off lifetime subscription deal not working, which is disappointing, especially considering how expensive it is. I also wish there was a way to just type weight and measurements in instead of having to tap the plus button a million times to get to the number you want, but I bet that’ll get fixed soon. Overall, I think this app has a little ways to go before I’ll be completely satisfied with it, but for me the pros definitely outweigh the cons and I’m excited to see where it will go.

Better
I really do like the workouts in this app! The workouts are great and this is the only program I’ve made it two weeks into. However, my app will not progress to week 3! I started November 3 and have been keeping up. I’ve updated the app and logged out/logged in. All the previous workouts are gray. I reached out to all support and they told me the new week starts Monday, which is when week 3 was supposed to load. I will try and be patient but this is such a mental setback. Design the app so that each week automatically unlocks when all the previous workouts show competed in the app. Additionally, your account doesn’t sync to multiple devices which I found out the hard way. Update: The lastest updates appeared to have corrected the issue with the workouts not progressing to the next week. I think I will stick with this app for awhile and I’m sure the more popular the app becomes, the more improvements will be made!

Love with one flaw
I want to start with the positive. Maddie is a great teacher and fitness instructor. Her videos are never just a timed movement with music overlaid through the workout. You get proper guidance and instruction on form and technique. It’s what’s made me pay for a subscription. I’ve tried a lot of other women’s platforms that don’t give this level of detail or care to maximizing your time spend on a workout with effectiveness. I started as a beginner and have now worked my way up to advanced level. I’m grateful for the hard work she’s put in to allow me to reach my personal health goals and without a gym membership! Tried some of the food and yum! For the one flaw, it doesn’t not sync across all platforms. For example, I have the app installed on my iPhone and iPad. I used the iPad to complete workouts but my iPhone to log other things like sleep, water, or journal entries. Since it doesn’t sync across the platform, I have to input this data twice. Once on the phone, once on the iPad. You also can’t go back in days to log things if you’ve forgotten. So my goals look choppy and incomplete even though I’ve done them, I just forgot to input on one or the other devices.

Great Workout Programs, but Serious Streaming Issues
I've been a big fan of MadFit and Maddy Limberner's workouts for a while now, so I was excited to try the MadFit app on the App Store. Overall, the app itself is really solid—great exercise programs, well-organized, and easy to follow. It's everything you'd expect from MadFit in terms of content. However, the app's streaming capabilities are a significant problem. The app only supports AirPlay for streaming, which is already limiting compared to other fitness apps that offer both AirPlay and Chromecast options. But the real issue is that even when trying to stream via AirPlay, some videos simply won't play on any device that supports AirPlay. I've tried streaming on a Vizio TV and a Roku device, and it seems completely random which videos will work and which won't. This has made it really frustrating to try and follow along with the workouts on a larger screen, which is essential for a good workout experience. As much as I love the exercise programs, this inconsistency with streaming is a major drawback, and it seriously impacts the usability of the app. I hope this issue can be resolved soon because it’s a real shame to have such great content be held back by technical problems.

Good start
I love Madfit workouts on YT! I’ve been using them for more full body workout/strength exercises to supplement with my running. I started the trial to see if I would like it. I think it is a very good start. I personally do not like the layout of the programs. I like the full videos from YT because it motivates me to complete them with her. I also can not stream this onto my TV like I can on YT. One other thing would be the nutrition section. My goal weight is higher than my current weight, and I don’t think that is taken into account. It seems as though it only considers the “goal weight” and how much food you should be eating for those who want to loose weight. I love MadFit and all of her work! I think this is a really good first draft, but there could be a few improvements:)

Be careful…
Edited to add you should be very careful. Even if you cancel this subscription and delete within the app, the company will still charge you a renewal. Without warning that renewal fees are coming, like most services/companies do. And when you contact them they will refuse a refund despite confirming that you did actually cancel months ago. Make sure you cancel within PayPal/google pay/ or whatever you use as there will be no warning of continuing charges when you cancel in the app. It’s great when it works, but it glitches a lot rendering it useless. I’m one week into a program and the app just refuses to show me the next week. Even though before starting the program I could see all the weeks. I’ve deleted/redownloaded, which didn’t fix the problem and just lost my old data. I’ve reset my program, which does nothing. At least I didn’t pay full price for this.

Glitches
App has many glitches that has made completing workouts frustrating. AirPlay is inconsistent, a workout will stop about 5-10 minutes in and I get the congratulations on completing your workout! During the workout it also freezes. I also noticed you can only use the app to access the workouts. I logged into their website with my laptop to try and see if I could avoid said issues with a different device but realized I couldn’t access workouts via the site. I will also say, when signing up, the subscription explanations are a bit confusing. I thought when I selected the option I chose I would get one more screen breaking down the cost. I thought I was doing a monthly subscription but I paid for the year.

No way to see what you are buying first???
I downloaded the app, and completed the extensive survey. I thought the next step would be seeing what the workouts consist of, how long the videos are, seeing some sample recipes, etc. Nope. You're immediately pressed to pay $20 a month or $120 before you get to see a single second of exercise video or recipe. There is no preview, there is no trial, the app does not even let you see what exactly you are buying. How did they not think this through? Who's going to pay that much for something with no idea what content, if any, is on the other side? For all I know it could be 5 videos and none relevant to me or it could be 5,000 videos and very relevant. They really need to fix this aspect of the onboarding... I'm not going to gamble $20 on this knowing nothing about what content I'm actually going to receive...

No free trial
Why waste time filling out health and goals info only to demand subscription. At least seven day free trial on any app like this. Nobody has money to throw away these days and I’ve seen a lot of programs that range from all fluff , to unsafe, to untrue, to awesome. Your app should sell itself so when I see no free trial I back away. seems like a good program was interested, but decided against it. you need to be aware that a many times people have issues that might develop or think it is one thing and it is something else but they are looking for the right program. You should let people try something for seven days at the very minimum when it’s exercise related, I don’t think there’s any reason not to just my two cents.

Love but hope to see these changes
I will start by saying , I love all the Madfit workouts . But there are a few thing I hope for the future use of this app. I wish you could search by no jump or apartment friendly . And also a whole program that’s body weight but still more than beginner ( more for travel workouts and you don’t need equipment) . Also I use the app on my iPad and phone and they won’t sync. Also I when you want to add a workout like walking or spin. That it counted as your workout for the day, right. Oh it only counts program workouts not even the like on demand ones . But again I love the actual workout and I do like the layouts of everything .

Top Tier Customer Service
Great app so far but even better Customer Service. I was a bit confused when trying to utilize a discount link for a membership and ended up paying twice for my subscription. Once on Apple and once to my credit card. I reached out to customer support and they were very quick to help me and process a full refund for one of the charges with no questions asked. Even though it was all of my own mistake and doing. I also just love these videos and the structure they give me for my workouts!

Love this app
I do really enjoy this app, it’s super simple and I love the variety and shorter videos as an option. A couple things though: -there’s not a ton of beginner videos or programs, which I feel like could be helpful -I would LOVE the option to create my own workout calendar or schedule and plug in specific videos for certain days. I often find my self just scrolling through a bunch of workouts for the same category, which wastes so much time. It would be great if we could plug a bunch in at one time, then just go to our calendar and click on the video we previously selected. Overall great app, I really enjoy the simplicity of it.

Great Beginner Fitness App
I have really loved using this app over the past couple of months. Maddie does a great job at explaining each movement and provides modifications if needed. The programs and challenges are a great start for beginners who need help developing a variety in their workout routine. After using this app for a couple of months I really wish there were more programs and challenges since I have already done most of them. It would also be great if there was a function for users to build out their own weekly/monthly plans by saving workouts into folders or a calendar.

Love this App!
I just love this app. The workouts are by far the best I’ve ever done. I love how she incorporates Yoga stretches without the whole meditation aspect. I used to dread and skip working out, now I look forward to it as a highlight of my day. The meal tracking is simple and basic, like it should be. I also love how it tracks all the workouts you've done that week and you can include your own too. This app has it all. Plus the selfie option after is fun to see the real changes.

Needs improvement
I love Maddie’s workouts and teaching style, so I was really hopeful for the app. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it worth the investment. For one, the app didn’t align with what was advertised on the site (some features weren’t in app). The app overall wasn’t super intuitive, but I did like the aesthetics— it had a very clean design. The non-video workouts were nice in concept, but not something I would pay so much for. I didn’t renew my subscription this year, so this is all speaking to my experience with the app last year. If the app undergoes a lot of change, I’d totally be willing to try it again!

Pretty good
I like the app but I have a few complaints. One is that I wish the top of the workouts in the programs showed whether or not you need equipment. It would make sense if by the time and calories burned listed it said, 1 dumbbell, 2 dumbbells, etc. also, sometimes a workout is listed as 25 min but then I complete it in 15 or 16. I wish the times were accurate for how long the workout is. I was going to cancel my subscription but figured I’d keep trying it for a few weeks. I hope they make some improvements soon

Best fitness app
Currently on day 7 of my trial and I’ve lost 6 pounds. I’ve lost 1/2 inch in my waist and 1 inch in my hips. I’ve struggled to find an app with workouts that I don’t get bored of. Definitely going to recommend this to everyone. I love that you can have take progress pics and keep track of your measurements and weight daily. Can’t wait to see where I am even a month from now since I already am getting results!

So much potential! But……
This app is amazing I love how creative the workouts are. The water tracking. How supportive it is for Lgbtq and so many amazing things. I could go on and on how much I love this app but I have one major issue. It’s not really beginner friendly. The beginner workouts leave me so exhausted that I can’t do much after I workout. If you could pretty please make a more beginner friendly program to pick from that would be so amazing! 🙏🏻Again much love this app is amazing but I can’t keep up with most of these workouts.

So many glitches!!!
This can be such a great app, but the price isn’t worth it for the amount of glitches within it. 1. For the programs you can subscribe to, you can’t go back to previous work outs, they disappear. I was trying to do my day three, my alarm went off on my phone and it shut down the work out and logged it. (You also cannot edit the log) so there’s a work out logged for me for 0 time…and I can’t go back to that work out to start again. 2. Since I couldn’t go back to that work out, I then searched for a similar one within the rest of the app…as soon as it clicked play…it paused again and logged it again!! It was honestly pretty annoying I lost time in just trying to get this app to stop glitching… Cancelling my subscription so glad I went for the $20…I would have been so upset to have paid a whole $120 for this…the idea is so great..but it still needs so much help, especially in terms of editing and replaying videos for programs.

Decent but could be better
App is good but there are multiple things that could make it better. I pressed exit instead of the last arrow in one of the program workouts and it didn’t count the workout as complete which is frustrating. I wish you could pin the program you are doing so you don’t have to scroll to it each time. Measurements are listed under the download data section but I don’t see a place to add measurements. The app only syncs with an Apple Watch a little bit. It will count the time but not the move calories.

Maddie is great but some improvement needed
I love Maddie & her workouts. My suggestions for improving the app: •make it so we can set a calendar. Like if I "heart" a workout it can ask me if I want to schedule it or set a reminder for a date/time. It would be nice to be able to plan out my week when there aren't challenges to do •have a search more than a word. More like categories.. where we can look at all lower body vs all upper body vs full body etc. These are my 2 major qualms but overall I love the app!

I will kin of agree with this app
Okay so basically when I got in I had to start a lot with a lot of questions and that kind of stressed me out. When I got in I saw you had to pay and I hate that, like we shouldn’t have to pay to workout Now I do like this app I paid for one month and it was pretty good I got me motivated and waking up earlier then I usually do, but I hate the part where you have to pay (I said this twice cause I don’t like it) it’s just bothering me much! But it’s a good app so 4/2 out of 5

Worth the price!
Great app and worth the price! I purchased the lifetime subscription two years ago and I’ve really enjoyed working out with this app! I really like Maddie’s approach to wellness and nutrition. I love the variety and the quality of her workouts! I’ve also enjoyed the barre and strength training sessions. The only improvements are technical which I think can be fixed as the app gets more popular.

I have only had the app for the free trial so far, but I love it! It is SO organized and I love how it removes the workouts through the week as you do them. Love Madfit and really really want to love the app. I went ahead a paid for the 3 month subscription and I’m on day 4 of my workout and it just. won’t. save. I reset my program and lost the 3 days I’ve already done. Only to not be able to show a completed workout today. Love the concept and how it can keep me accountable all in one place but glitches like this are super frustrating and demotivating :(

It’s a trap
I was a huge fan of madfit for years, loved her workouts and her, so I finally got her app to support her further. After I realized I wasn’t using it as much as I thought I would, I cancelled my subscription but still got charged. When I emailed the madfit team and asked for a refund because I was no longer an active member, they said I didn’t cancel my subscription ( even though on my Apple side it was AND I wasn’t found in their system anymore) so they wouldnt give me my 100$ back. What a shame when madfit was supposed to be transparent and women empowering. What a shame and scam.

Good workouts but bad app
I love the videos but unfortunately the app is buggy and could use improvement when it comes to being user friendly or useful. 1. The app does not always log my workouts. The big plus about having the app is having it keep track of your progress. 2. When you look at workouts you have completed (when it works), there’s no way to click on them and go back to it. You have to search for the title and the workout doesn’t always show up. 3. The UX UI is not intuitive. I signed up for the beginner’s goals but then had a hard time navigating to it and wasn’t sure of what to do. With some improvement this app could be much more useful.

After her YT vid with the example workout from the app I went ahead and bought the lifetime membership thinking that the structure of the app would be similar. Obviously I should have done a bit more research. The structure of the app workouts just doesn’t work for me. HUGE Mistake to Purchase
Purchased a lifetime subscription in good faith that the workouts will be given throughout the year, but I CANNOT get in to use the app. I’ve contacted the support team SEVERAL times and nobody responds. Because of that, I feel like I’ve been completely ripped off. I paid for a subscription that I cannot use and nobody on Maddie’s team is helping me. Love the workouts but when I try to save one as a favorite, I have to try many times. I heart it then look back and its not hearted. When I download a workout and come back to app, the download is gone. Then when using the filter option, I would like to pick two or more options in a category. Such as dumbbells AND chair for equipment, not just one at a time. Would love to be able to see all my downloads in one place. Long survey and no trial… asks for $100/year
When I downloaded the app and spent a long time answering the survey, I was under an impression that I would be able to see at least 1-2 workouts before I need to pay for anything to decide if I like it. Nope. In order to do anything past answering the survey, you need to pay $100 or $20 per month. That’s fine if that’s their business model but explain it to people before having them fill out this long survey! I’m not signing up if I don’t know what I’m paying for.

This is a great app for your phone. I love Maddie’s workouts. However I wish the app would expand to full screen on your iPad. That’s my only issue. Really looked forward to this, but….
I just started working out and was looking forward to having a free app that would help me plan and track my workouts. I answered all the questions, I was given a workout plan, but then when I tried to click on it there was a pop-up saying that I needed to purchase a subscription. There was no way to exit out of it. Huge bummer. If I had known that I would need to buy a subscription beforehand, I wouldn’t have gotten the app. Really wish this was free.

Really sad because I love Madfit but the email with the option for the discount doesn’t work at all, even tried with 2 emails. I subscribed thinking that I was just purchasing one month to try the app out. I’m sure that this is on me however I do not care for the app set up. I prefer having access to workout videos based on my particular goals. I am not a fan of having to search for workouts videos myself and I do not have time to complete a list of exercises nor do I want to.

Strong app, strong results
MadFit has been great thus far! We just started the Dancer Sculpt and was wondering about optimization for iPad to allow for full screen use. As well, it would be cool for the workout programs to be available for Airplay.

Love the App, One Bug
I love this app which lets me workout from the comfort of my own home with good direction and a killer burn. There’s a bug that double marks workouts for me from time to time. I wish I had an option to delete the double as it doesn’t track my progress accurately.
