While I still use this app, it saddens me that it’s gotten no development attention in 4 years. I have custom meme templates I can’t delete. A facebook page is dealbreaker for me to seek help. Despite all that, I use this app daily, as I’m not harassed by ANYTHING ( no buy to unlock, no ads ). To be clear, this app is easily worth $5 compared to all the other apps / websites that harass users. Please open source! Please modernize and make me pay $5, or even a link to patreon!
Honestly this app is great for being able to make your own memes from photos you have or popular memes from the past. It could be way better with the ability to save your photo as a template meme for reuse as well as more updating the catalogue to relevant memes circulating now. Still worth getting.
I had been very with the app when I owned a Samsung phone. I had recently had to switch to an apple due to significant issues with the prior phone. When I open on on this new i phone, it was total down grade. I have images of comparison but unfortunately, I can’t upload to this forum. On my Samsung there are many many option such as stickers and image and text effects. I don’t know Apple phone and there’s a different version or what? But this app do anything for me. I did research, this App is the same thing. Same name, same publisher.
Have an idea you want to run with but can’t find the photo? Can’t find it here either. There’s no search function where you type in a tag or keyword and see some images you may or may not want to meme. You get the cookie-cutter catalog from the main menu and that’s it. It’s up to you to meme the image, if it even comes close to your idea. The catalog is ok, but it’s simplistic and worn out. I was hoping to search some fresh content for fresh ideas.
This is an awesome app and really easy to use. There are so many meme templates and I use them all the time to have some good laughs with my friends. Just one complaint is that you guys don’t have any Futurama memes such as the ‘Not Sure If...’ or ‘Shut Up And Take My Money!’ memes. If you could add those templates that would be amazing! Otherwise this app is my all time meme-making favorite!
Paid to remove ads and ads keep re-appearing every time I open the app. I want my 2 dollars! Update: I un-installed the app and then re-installed from App Store, and the restored purchases from within the app and the ads have not returned when opening the app... problem solved... 5 stars.
I used to use this as my go-to meme maker but now it’s a hot mess. There’s no search function so I can’t pull up a template by title, and they aren’t even sorted alphabetically. They’re sorted by “new” and “popular”? That doesn’t help me when I have a specific meme template in mind. I feel like this is just an abandoned app that’s just kinda there. You also used to be able to change between the modern meme (top text) and the classic meme (block text on the image). All that is gone. What a bummer.
This has been my go to app for years, has enabled me to meme hard in the paint during recent years. BUT, what happened to the sticker functionality?! Bring it back!!!
I have my ipad on a keyboard mount, this means any apps that won’t turn to fit the screen direction are difficult & not fun to use. I create my own memes with Photoshop, a friend suggested this app for quicker memes. Hopefully soon you will make the accommodation to fit the screen, then I will purchase the no add option. THANKS 👍
This app by far has the best meme creation layout. When I first downloaded the app the “Save” and “Share” feature weren’t working. All it took was deleting and re-downloading the app to fix that. Also, it is so nice having a search feature! Well done.
This is perfect free app if you have these needs 1) no watermark on final product 2) displays 1, 2 or more lines of text 3) ability to scale text arbitrarily 4) capability of independently setting text and outline colors as well as text border thickness. Five stars.
I find this app awesome it is amazing and I have always wanted something like it but please for the love of God make it so you can have multiple pictures in one meme like you know multiple friends instead of just one picture please
I’m not even up to dat with my memes, it won’t even let me do the modern layout on my phone. My phone is a IPhone 6s Plus and it won’t even give me them smexy memes of gru, circles of hell, or even the most recent ones, which I’m stuck on the normie chuck E Cheese stare. I just want the updates and to get the modern layout. Yes my phone is up to date, and when I want to be original, it won’t even give me the modern layout. It just makes me A N G E R Y. Fix this please
I originally installed this app on my Samsung s7 and used it actively for about a year and a half. When I made the switch to an apple device, the iPhone 11, it seems that at least 70 or so templates are missing, the most recent being the “Chuck E. Cheese Stare.” If the app could be updated to include the newer content as well as the combine memes feature it would be much appreciated.
So, first time I got on here I searched stonks, and nothing was there, so I had to go to safari, and search stonks, and then crop out the stuff around the image. It aint much, but it’s honest work.
So this app was pretty fun for me and I posted a few of my memes to reddit but it just felt a bit bland. You couldn’t mix memes and the memes mostly felt outdated. I liked it though and if you are just getting started then I recommend
Fix this app… I can’t find it sort memes by description… FYI… this app is difficult to use and find specific memes you want. I would suggest figuring that out. I can never find the meme i want; I just save the pics from google…. Making this app irrelevant.
I used to troll friends, coworker, and make all kinds of memes with this app. I never cared about whatever pics were on the app itself I always took my own photos. It was incredibly simple. Now every time you use it you get bothered with buying some crappy subscription and then if you try to make a meme, it won’t work and the app crashes. LAME!
Can we have a proper version of this app for iPhones? The memes in each category are out of order, meaning they’re not in newest to oldest starting from top to bottom when it comes to going to the “new memes” category.
I wish I could give a thorough review, however I can’t, why? Because I can’t see anything everything is jumbled together on the left side when you try to bring up the menus, if you have the text enlarged because of a vision problem. Until I gets fixed this is a 1 star app..
Yes, I am enjoying this app. 👍🏾 Unfortunately, it doesn’t save my memes once I close the app. So, if I wanted to correct something, I would have to start all over. 🥺
This is the best no BS meme app. It just gives you access to a load of memes and you edit them however you’d like within the app. You can even favorite your preferred ones. Good stuff.
I’ve tried creating memes several times. After finally getting the wording just right, I have been unable to save or share the meme. This was suppose to be the app that any novice could use and make creative, fun filled illustrations. I guess I need to keep looking. I’m using my iPad Pro iOS 11.4.1. If there is a glitch, please advise.
I like the Play Store version better. You can actually put multiple pictures together and even crop them and put them in one single meme. I wouldn't care paying more for that but you guys just took it off definitely.
In pretty sure there was a point in time you could add another picture to the memes... I guess you took that out... Time to look for a new meme generator 😭
Very good meme generator. Lots of memes to search and make. One star come from after you use it a couple times the disclaimer comes up and you either have to buy the app or delete it because it won’t let you close the disclaimer.
This used to be an amazing app but that was 4 years ago. Since then it hasn’t been updated and is lacking all of the new memes and formats. I can’t use this the way I’d like to. Please will someone update it!?
The app is quite functional and customizable, however, it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to SAVE!! Developer: Put some time & $$ into fixing the bugs. Hadn’t been updated or retooled in years.
Super annoying to pay to remove ads and still have ads. Also the meme i made with a custom picture never saved or sent it just said saving and sending FOREVER. I don’t even like memes , I needed to do one for a class.

This would be a great app, but it’s unusable because they haven’t updated it in years. None of the new memes are on it. Don’t waste your time until they update.
