So helpful for sleep patterns
I’ve never written a review but my experience using Napper, as well as my customer service experience, have been exceptional. I’d been using two baby sleep apps for comparison, but Napper has out-performed the other (called Baby Naps). Napper allows me to track time spent nursing, diaper changes, medicine, naps, nighttime sleep and even night wakings. The predictive nap & sleep recommendations are extremely helpful, and rather than be prescriptive or static, the recommendations adjust according to when my baby sleeps, and for how long. (I imagine this is based on wake windows for the child’s age). I also really like the “nursing” module which has a stopwatch function and helps you record from which breast you fed from, and for how long. The logs are easy to edit and easy to access when you’re one-handed…When I wrote to their customer service team regarding a bug, Esper replied quickly with excellent feedback and was so helpful (thanks!). My husband and I are first time parents and really recommend trying Napper.

Almost perfect!
I am still in the trial period and I was hopeful it would be THE ONE for tracking my 3 week old’s sleep and nursing. Unfortunately, I really dislike the editing capabilities for nursing. If I pause a nursing session but don’t unpause right away when we restart, I can’t go back and edit that pause. So then if I try to edit the nursing time on the L or R side to correct the time, it won’t allow me to without completely deleting the pause, which then throws the whole nursing session off. Being able to note the time I restarted and edit the nursing session when my hands are free once again should really be made possible. Moms can’t always hit start immediately or should be able sometimes forget to for a fee minutes while still having the ability to have accurate time kept. That’s my only gripe with this app and since nursing is half of the reason I really use this tracker, it’s a big deal for me. For that reason, I probably won’t even complete the trial period, but I wish I could! The sleep tracking is awesome but if I’m paying for an app I need to be able to track his nursing in the same place. — if the app developers change this I would totally recommend and would purchase it!

Good for sleep, not so good for tracking
The app is good, it’s spot on with the timing for naps. It’s not magic, our baby still wakes up many times through the night but is understandable as babies go through many things that will make their sleep challenging. I’m giving two stars not because the sleep tracking but because of the bugs and interface. - I love the graph that shows the day and night ahead but you make the effort of tracking everything and then the nice interface disappear and you can’t see how the night went again with the nice graph and only with the historical one which is awful. The sleep is split in two days and so hard to know what is for what night. - Tracking night wakings and things in general is difficult when you or your partner did it and you’re out of sync. You end up duplicating or missing things. - It’s also a mess using the widgets again keeping them in sync with your partner's. Most of the time they’re not up to date and you know the baby was put to sleep and he has a night waking you use the widget and it is not the waking what you did but another sleep and the app accepts it without complaining. - is not clear what you’ll do when clicking the widget. I’ll give 5 stars when those issues are fixed, but those are pretty big issues for me.

Underrated
At first I though this app was just like all the others saying it would help you out with finding your babies schedule but I have to say that this one is on a whole different level than the others. The first day of course the app is not up to speed on your baby and their schedules. But after just a couple of days the app has learned when and how long my baby sleeps. It’s really accurate and detailed. My husband and I were in awe as we saw our baby getting sleepy around the time the app would say it’s time for his nap. At first we were skeptical but we noticed our babies sleepy cues and realized it was on time. We’ve continued to use it in comparison to an other app I was using and Napper is by far so much easier for me and my partner to use. It even give you the option to share the same info with another person so my partner has access to all the same things I do on his phone. I have loved the app so much I have stopped using the one I had before( Baby tracker ). I highly recommend this app for first time parents like myself. But I will say, if this isn’t for you then do not force it. Mothers, you know your baby best, so do not believe that you have to stick with something if it doesn’t work out for you and baby. Trust your own instincts. You got this

No edit option after midnight
Edited to address the developer feedback to be clear. Unable to use any longer without paying, so I can’t further explore how it could possibly be edited. But I tried many times in the history tab to much frustration - and I think I’m a relatively tech savvy person. From what I could see you are able to edit entries, but for example if your baby falls asleep for the night at 11:55pm but you don’t add until 12am, you are unable to go into the history tab and add that they fell asleep for the night at that time (again from what I could figure out). You can edit for example a specific nap entry. But when you click the add button, and enter a time in the past day, it believes you mean the future and gives an error. Highly suggest adding a date feature in with the time to make everything more easily editable in the past. OP: Loved this in real time, but honestly who can remember to mark every single thing the second it happens? Once midnight rolls around there seems to be zero ability to go to the day before and mark when your child went to sleep. We are parents, sleep doesn’t reset at midnight. So confused by this!

Great until regressions
I saw a lot of recommendations for this app on reddit so I decided to give it a shot. For regular sleep patterns this thing is eerily accurate but if your LO deviates at all due to the insanely long list of reasons - teething, sickness, separation anxiety, etc or an inevitable sleep regression, the suggestions will be off track and sometimes really off because it’s still going off wake windows. I had downloaded it originally as I was desperate to figure out how to get through a regression but it’s not the app for that. For example when my LO has a EMW I wanted good guidance for when they should nap next which based on my hours of research online (baby sleep can do that to you) but it’ll suggest the nap based off your LO’s typically wake window which isn’t ideal in these situations. Despite my feedback I truly enjoy the UI and still use it to track sleep. My favorite is the ability to add pauses to naps which my other apps do not have. I do have faith that the app will continue to improve though. Hope this helps

The best app!!!!
I LOVE Napper! I have used lots of baby trackers over my 4 kids and this one is hands down my favorite. I love the UI, it is beautiful to look at and easy to use. I love the predictions for the next sleep time and how it lays out the day for me so I can keep the times loose in my schedule for when baby needs a nap or to start bedtime. I love how the app can differentiate between a night waking and waking up fully, the other apps could not and I would often have skewed data for sleep times. I forgot to set the timer for a nap the other day and Napper notified me baby’s nap was late and asked if I forgot to set the timer! I have never encountered such a smart app. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to track sleep, nursing, diaper changes, etc.

Almost perfect
Found this app specifically for tracking a sleep and very happy with it.. almost. I like the interface: the clock that gives you a full picture of the day or night with some sleep frame suggestions (not always correct for your child, but definitely by the standards). You can track naps and night wakes up separately. I wish we can swipe the clock as well between days and nights, instead of always going back to history and swiping there. But one star down for me is for the glitch. I’ve been using the app for a little longer than a month and had to reinstall it at least 5 times.. sometimes interface just says hold on and no clock will appear.. one time it messed the day and night sleep and the whole history, the other time it just won’t open.. I hope it will be fixed soon, because so far I like this app best from all others.

Pretty app ruined my great sleeper
Since my baby was born he was a great sleeper! We started tracking after the 4 month sleep regression because that transition really impacted him and we wanted to be sure he got enough sleep. I noticed something off when he turned 5 months and the app dramatically shifted his sleep need, however I stuck with it just for tracking purposes. Slowly over time it “learned” my baby found it more interesting to be awake and suggested less and less sleep. At about 8 months, I turned to my husband and said “maybe our baby isn’t a good sleeper after all”. After about 2 months of terrible sleep, we hired a sleep nanny and she corrected his sleep in less than 4 days. He went from maybe sleeping 12 hours total sleep, to 12 hours night sleep and 3-4 hrs day sleep. Not to mention he no longer wakes up 2-4 times each night. I mean he sleeps straight through! Really it’s our fault as parents for not recognizing this sooner, but for such a costly app I’m disappointed they don’t use better recommendation logic to determine minimum sleep patterns and wake windows. I can compare this to the Pampers app, which was much much better at that. I wish I would’ve spent the extra money for that one up front instead of just trying to save money. I will say, as a person that works in tech, this app has a nice UI compared to the others. Hence the 1 star.

Helped us maintain a routine!
Napper has been the best app for my family to use in order to keep track of our babies naps and bottles. For 5 months I was the only one primarily putting in the times, but when it was time to go back to work I was very worried my little ones naps would get messed up. HOWEVER, being able to allow multiple users on the app has been the greatest convenience. Everyone is able to communicate through the app so we don’t have to worry about times for naps and bottles getting confused. Highly recommend for any parent but especially first time parents!! The literature that comes with the app also has helped my husband and I immensely. Thank you napper!!

So Freaking Accurate!
I LOVE this app! It pinpoints my daughter’s sleep patterns to within a few minutes and has made sleep training SO much more easy. I also really like being able to add medicine, feeding, and diaper changes. I don’t really use the feeding or diaper change logs so much unless I suspect a problem, but being able to keep track of when I last gave her infant Tylenol is super helpful to prevent overdosage. Now the issues I have are you can’t add a medicine log if you have an active sleep log (like I put her down for bed, but she hasn’t fallen asleep yet). That’s just kind of dumb. Or, you can’t log a diaper change and then the start of bedtime. You literally have to wait a minute. Please fix this, guys. What I would really like to see in future updates is Siri and Apple Watch integration. So, for instance, if I’m driving and she falls asleep, saying “Hey Siri, Nap Time “ and it logs a nap. Or “Hey Siri, End Nap” and the nap log ends. And have a quick button on the Apple Watch to log a nap or whatnot. These integrations would make my life sooo much easier! Overall, this is an amazing app and I can’t recommend it enough.

Amazing but needs a few small tweaks
Overall the app is awesome. With how different every baby can be I am astonished at how accurate the projected nap times are. Seriously, unless we are having a really off day they are within 30 min (usually closer) of projected time. Two small suggestions for things that would make the app perfect. First being able to use with out internet connection would be helpful. When I visit family I go in and out of service frequently and I am not even able to log times without internet. I can see how it may not be able to update nap predictions but please at least let me log data!!! Second, a widget and watch app would be really helpful and would make this app and easy 5 star.

Amazing!
I never write reviews but I felt I needed to for this one. We downloaded this when our son was 7 months old and we were struggling to get him to sleep through the night and have consistent naps and it helped us so much. We now have an 18 month old who sleeps through the night and naps for two hours every day. I swear this app helped us figure out our sons schedule and stick to it so he’s now a super sleeper. It’s also great that you can track other things like diaper changes and medications etc. the sleep training lessons are also pretty useful information. If you have a baby get this app it will help!!!

Somewhat helpful, but misses the mark
We’ve been using the app for a few months and while the nudges for nap time have been helpful, I don’t feel like it’s really learning my baby’s patterns & will still suggest bedtimes that don’t align at all with recent or historical reality (she falls asleep within the same 30 min window every night for weeks and yet it’ll suggest bedtimes far outside of that even with adjusting the settings). I also feel like it isn’t offering any insights of all of the data being collected, so while the charts are interesting, a report card of sorts with suggestions would be ideal in helping parents correct sleep issues or just generally improve baby’s schedule as they get older.

So helpful for difficult baby
I have a baby with a very difficult temperament. He fusses most of the day, so reading his cues is next to impossible. Napper helps me keep track of when he’s most likely hungry, tired, etc. which helps me tremendously. He also has very low sleep needs and it’s been helpful to see his trends & statistics over time so I can follow his natural flow of the day rather than what’s recommended for average babies his age. I noticed a few bugs (nothing significant) and mentioned them via email to the developers- they responded immediately and all bugs have been fixed. Great app and amazing customer service!

Now I can’t live without it
This has been a GAME CHANGER for our family. You can share profiles with the other parent or caregiver and collectively track everything. And I mean everything. This app is super thorough! You can log how long you’ve nursed on each side- and it REMINDS you which side you nursed on last. Like what!? It also helps me track pumping and diaper changes. The nap tracking is amazing and helps me remember when he needs to sleep. I also noticed when he’s getting fussy and I realize OH! It’s because it’s almost time for a nap! Huge fan. Don’t hesitate. Dow load it. Get the premium version. Do it.

Best App Ever
I'm a first time mom..(I know, panic over everything and listen to advice you didn't ask for😂) I absolutely love this app, it helps so much with my little guy's sleep schedule! It helps map out my day and his! I begged my husband to get the subscription so we can track everything and it's been amazing! The only thing I would love is if there a way to save medicines, and then be able to pick them again. Like if I used Tylenol at 3pm and then do it again at 7 or 8, I can click on the comment and start typing and it already popping up as the selection.

Almost perfect is right!
Napper has been creepy accurate at predicting my baby’s nap times and lengths and the time he will wake up. Biggest issue is that the formatting can be confusing. For example, if you stop a sleep timer (baby woke up) sometimes it will get confused and say something like “asleep for x amount of minutes” when you just inputted that the baby woke.. then when you try to manually fix it and input the right time, it says you can’t input a time greater than 6 hours…. Doesn’t make sense and it throws me off. When I happen to figure out the glitches, I love it. Needs some fine tuning for sure, then it would be perfect.

Can’t say enough great things!
We LOVE napper around here. Not only is the interface aesthetically pleasing and easy to use, Napper has seriously changed the game around here. I work at home full time while caring for my child alone during the day and Napper has helped me predict her naps and adjust my schedule accordingly. I’ve really loved using it and tracking her trends and wake windows has been extremely helpful. Also—their support is awesome! I had some issues with my babies schedule not working and it was fixed almost immediately when I contacted support. Thanks Napper :)

I LOVE this app!
I don’t usually write reviews but this one definitely deserves it. I had been struggling with naps with my son who is 8 months old. This app gets it right every time for him! I love that it sends a notification when it’s getting close to time for a nap. This isn’t an app that you just log naps. It calculates when naps will occur and for about how long. It is custom for your own baby. It changes automatically as your baby gets older and requires less sleep. I have only used the free version but I plan on paying for a subscription.

Was a 5 star
This app was so amazing, spot on for our baby sleep cycles and easy to use. 2 weeks ago they updated the app and now it is glitchy, it puts his last nap after his bedtime, it constantly will forget that we already put in a nap time or bed time and we have to try to remember and put it back in. Now if you forget to end a nap instead of being able to put in the time you have to end it and then go back and edit it, that’s not a big deal but just a small annoyance. Over all the app is slower and less user friendly then before. wish they would go back to the old look.

I never really write reviews, but this app deserves all the praise!!! My 3 month old was a terrible Napper and I wasn’t able to figure out her wake windows. Napper has completely changed the way she naps during the day and has helped us keep track of her patterns. It’s amazing, almost every time she’s getting sleepy, we’re within 5-10 mins of her next nap according to the app. It totally has learned her patterns and has helped us get on a great schedule. I couldn’t recommend this app enough!!!!!!!

Impossibly Amazing
Day 1: Our 6 month old took 5 random naps, from 20-35 minutes, and went to bed at 10:30pm. We had to hold her until she fell asleep or she would cry and hyperventilate. This reflects her usual “schedule”. Day 12: 3 long naps, the same times as the previous day, asleep on her own, with no help, at 8:30pm. This has been nothing short of miraculous. It often predicted when she would fall asleep down to the minute. I thought she was just a terrible sleeper - turns out we’re just terrible parents. Alas. I wish I had started using this sooner! Yes, you have to use your brain - sometimes the algorithm suggests things that don’t make sense (for instance, it once changed her bed time from 7:30 to 11:30 after she took a short nap in the late afternoon). But wow, if you’re a first time parent and are clueless, this might change your life!

Favorite sleep tracking app for 1 year old
I love Napper! I’ve used 4 other sleep tracking apps (paid for) and Napper has to be my favorite! I love the aesthetic of the layout and how accurate it is . I love that it includes adding the routines for nap and bed and how long they take so you can get an accurate understanding of how long bed time is really taking from day to day. I had a helpful interaction from the Napper team via e-mail and definitely will continue to use this app for my daughter !

Uncannily accurate
I very rarely write reviews, but I have been so impressed with Napper I felt I had to share my experience. My son hit the four month sleep regression hard and my wife and I have spent weeks trying to figure out a sleep schedule that won’t result in a full on meltdown as soon as he touches the crib. Napper’s schedule is so accurate that within one day we had him going down happily for naps and at bedtime. I highly recommend and tired parent out there give it a try.

Wonderful sleep tracker
I wish I had found this months ago! I have been struggling with naps and I have only been using this during the free trial but I already know I need it and will be paying for the year. I really wish it had a widget with the time until next nap. Also, an option to set your preferred bedtime like between 7-8pm. We keep getting scheduled a bedtime around 9pm which is a little too late. An Apple Watch app would be great in the future too.

I do love this app.. it’s a total game changer and keeps you on top of things! I love that it learns your babies sleep patterns and adjust naps and bedtimes to it. However I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of the new look of the daily clock! It’s looks overwhelming and isn’t clean and simple like the original one.. it’s way too busy with all the icons and that’s the last thing I’m needing as a new parent trying to keep up with my baby’s tracker. I liked being able to see the stretches of naps and night time sleep without having to actually click the icon and the small colored lines of other activities.. Everything else looks nice and updated! The app said you could revert back but I can’t seem to find out how.. please help. Thank you!

This app is amazing! Didn’t even take a full week for us to buy the full version. It’s been the most helpful thing for my fiancé and I. He works out of town quite often so this is a great way to know baby’s schedule day by day. If there was ANYTHING I could change, it would be adding in a bath option, breakfast, lunch and a dinner option. ANYONE reading this that’s debating on getting this app, don’t debate. Just get it!

A must have—amazingly accurate!
Late review but worth writing—My son is now 2 but this app was a God-send when he was a baby. I was a nervous 1st-time mom, overwhelmed, with a Velcro baby that didn’t always rest well. After recording initial info, this app accurately predicted his tailored sleep cycles down to the minute and it was truly amazing. Looking back, this was one of the most helpful things of that time for us!

LOVE IT
I LOVE the Napper app. However I wish there was an option to switch to 12 hour clock instead of 24 hour clock. That is the only thing I would change. This is one of the only apps I’ve found that allows you to add night awakenings, night sleep, pauses, feeds, diapering, all in one. I love the simple easy to use design. Will definitely be using this for the near future!

I struggled so much with finding a routine for my LO. This app has taken a load off with trying to track wake windows and nap times. I really appreciate the 30 minute heads up until nap time- it has so far been exactly the amount of time I need to put her down. Napper customer service is also outstanding & very genuine. Finally a targeted Instagram ad that really paid off.

Nice try
It worked for about 2 days. After that my 5 month old was back to 3 hour stretches instead of longer naps/night time sleep that I had hoped for. It’s a good concept but not guaranteed sleep- which they do warn you. Also got charged for a year when I really only wanted 6 months. Took Napper days to reply then finally responded with refund instructions which weren’t very helpful. I would cancel before you get charged if it’s not working for you instead of losing out on $80!!

Love this app but wish it had..
This app has been spot on with my daughters naps since 3 months. Even if she sleeps longer or shorter , it adjusts nicely. I wish you were able to log things when you didn’t have service (like flying or camping) and I wish when you traveled to a different time zone, you didn't have to manually update your current day to the new time zone. Other than that, I like it.

Can’t edit or add pauses in naps
I love this app, I love it more than Huckleberry for sleep tracking. It just makes sense to me. The only problem is that I can’t edit or add in pauses in sleep after the fact. It’s frustrating to pause his nap because he wakes up, only for him to fall asleep and then I forget to mark it on time and I either have to delete it completely or let it be an extra 10, 15, 20+ minutes than what the actual pause was. When that changes I’ll rate it 5 stars!!

Not sure what the point is
I tried this after hearing good things about it, and after using for a few days on the free trial I’m confused what the point is. It just tells you to try to put baby to sleep if they seem sleepy, and it predicts (without much success in my experience) when baby should be ready for their nap or bedtime. It doesn’t have any secrets about how to get baby to nap or what to do if baby only contact naps or sleeps less or more than the app says they should. I didn’t find the predictions helpful or find that they translate to better sleep.

Horrible
I’ve used it for months and it has yet to provide me with anything close to what it advertises. It massively overshoots or undershoots all sleep. I got it because I was severely struggling with nap 2 and night wakes. I have a 15 month old that still has night wakes and I’m trying to drop naps but it’s been hard as she gets nowhere near the sleep she is supposed to. I am very frustrated with the app. It keeps telling me my second nap is overdue and I think it’s actually well overshooting her second nap. I’ve been in a massive overtired mess since getting the app and it has not improved sleep at all.

Very very useful way to track as much or as little detain about a child and be able to manage handoffs more seemlessly to partners and other caregivers without them needing to hear and you recall when each event happens and how much of this or that was used/eaten/eliminated etc. Thank you kindly For a very useful tool!!

Didn’t help or change anything.
This app would be better if it were just a sleep tracker and didn’t integrate an algorithm. It suggests really dumb stuff. Basically we have to pay attention to when our kid is getting tired and plan accordingly. We got this app to try to help us get longer sleep windows and a reasonable wake up time (like, 5:30 instead of 3:45) and the app just kept telling us the kid would wake up at 3:53 or 4:02 and not making any suggestions or changes to help us walk that forward. We also have not seen any improvement in night time sleep time or daily sleep time. Our kid is chronically under the averages by 2-3 hours a day. By the numbers, this app has been a fail for us. Charging $70 to sleep deprived parents for a product that doesn’t work seems exploitative. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ yay capitalism I guess. AI is like HR; they aren’t on your side #beverTalkToCops

I’d give a billion stars if I could
This is hands down the best app I’ve used as a new mom. It’s amazing how accurate the estimated wake/sleep windows are and, as someone who does extensive academic research, I love that the science is backed by peer reviewed research. Not to mention it’s so aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. I just wish I would have known about Napper sooner! It’s SUCH a game changer.

The app has been fairly accurate (for learning his sleep habits), and I love the look of it, but ever since I invited my husband to use the app, the clock has been glitched. It looks like the moon icon was dragged over and over over the clock so it distorted the image and I can’t see estimated nap times. It’s really swaying me from wanting to invest in keeping the app.

Super happy until they took away features
Been using this for about 5 months. I don’t wants premium stats, just simple features for sleep. Napper was awesome bc you could track basic things for free like naps & wake windows. Now they got greedy and charge to even edit your sleep time if you forgot to write it down past midnight. Really bad the past couple months. It also sometimes bugs out and does not recognize when i add night waking.

Great for first time parents
I think this app is great for first time parents still getting the hang of wake windows. Personally, this isn’t my first go around and I was more hoping it could help me find the right pattern to minimize night wakings. But babies are going to baby and even this app can’t fix it. Overall a decent app though!

More sleep!
This app helped me understand what my infant needed in times when I wasn’t understanding. Teaches you good techniques and helps you understand WHY they’re acting certain ways. I was *this* close to hiring a sleep specialist when I tried Napper, so glad for the free week to try it out!

Great app!
I love this app. I have been using the free version so far for about 3 months, and it's great. It has really helped me with my son's sleep training. It's very accurate when it says that it is time for naps, so I don't have to guess when he needs to go to bed. Highly recommend!
