How I stay up on my community

I use this app to stay up with the news in my area. Between school and work, I don't have a lot of time to sit and watch the news. This keeps me up to date. My only complaint is that they need to report more of what happens rather than the sensational. They recently had two shootings in one day and only reported in depth on one. The other was in my area and it is important to those of us living in the area to know what is happening around us.

It’s getting annoying...

When I first downloaded this app it was good, but after they added the payed subscription a while back, it was very frustrating trying to read about what’s happening in the community. Now it’s gotten to a point where I can only read a quarter of most articles, and some I can’t even read at all, not to mention that the monthly 25 articles you are supposed to get didn’t even refresh this January. I know it’s probably to keep the paper running, but it’s just gotten really annoying. I’d say it’s better to try your luck and search for the story online.

Convenient way to get local news!

I’m happy to support our local paper. This app makes it really easy to read and share articles, and stay up-to-date on local news.

This app is horrible.

Compared to the previous version, this app is horrible. The tabs to advance the pages are in the way of the text, enlarged pages / text jump from enlarged to small just by bumping the screen, and it is virtually impossible to read the comic section. Also, sometimes, the text is blurry and can’t be refocused. Overall, very disappointing.

Week follow through

Adding 1 or 2 stories and news articles each day hardly constitutes a news paper the same articles have appeared here for weeks or in some cases months at a time I know because I have the print version which I have to read instead of the mobile app all in all very sorry content management

Account access

The digital access is preventing me from reading the full article. A call to the service desk has insured I have an account, have been able to change passwords, sign in and out and yet am big able to read full articles. Prompts ask me to purchase an account. Get this app fixed. Please

Horrible experience!

Trying to read even one story on this app is an excruciating experience in frustration with the rolling ads that constantly disrupt the story. It is infuriating. I am canceling my subscription because this is impossible to read.

Yes they limit news unless you pay a subscription fee. Even breaking news and alerts are 24 to 36 delayed never current. Im guessing they still believe that internet still works like print papers very outdated and slow news source

I can’t believe that you guys only have about 2-3 new news items per day, if that. Not to mention the lack of updates per weekend.

Get rid if USA Today news section

We need more news and photos from Licking County. You can hear national news on TV or the internet.

Poorly designed app

This app is frustrating as it continually asks for you to log in. I log in and have to keep logging in. NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION.

Local Newspaper App Delivers

When I get up in the morning, I pour a cup of coffee and fire up my laptop to read my daily newspaper, The Newark Advocate. It consistently downloads, provides my morning news fix and keeps me up on what's happening locally. I highly recommend this app for your use.

App is great delivery not so much

Being able to have the advocate at my finger tips is great. I enjoy the paper itself too, but the delivery is always in my flower bed... otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

Lousy Pataskala Standard Updates

I purchased this app to have digital access to the Pataskala Standard. Today is May 3. The articles on the Standard are April 14, 15, 18, 20, 27 and 1 from May 2. Terrible updates. Time to reconsider this purchase.

This app does not work. At all

They must want us to subscribe now. The old app stopped working. This one, if you can get it to complete the download, will not open. Do not even bother.

I have to delete the app and reinstall it every day. It won't load, and it constantly freezes. Worthless!!!!
