I love News Channel 5! In twenty two years, I have seen only one story that was poorly handled. That one piece was based on a parent's account of a school employee mistreating her child. The person she accused is one of the three most amazing teachers I have worked with in my forty-seven years. Other than that situation, you are on point! You approach us openly, professionally, and in the most confidential manner possible. Many of you are aware that a number of us are occasionally physically and verbally assaulted by children, as was the person covered in the referenced story, usually students whom we recognized as needing a great deal of help. We always tried very hard to involve the families, the school, and outside professionals, as well. After all, as you know, every child deserves a proactive TEAM approach...socially, emotionally, and academically!
I like this app ability to keep me informed when I don’t have time to catch the local news it also allows me to go to their investigation section and find out about people who Phil Williams or one of the many reporters have uncovered some of our politicians or just everyday people who violate our laws, and most stories have led to criminal prosecution. On this app you get more information then the actual newscast with links to document that their newscasts just doesn’t have time to show also we now have winter tornados becoming common more than snow and their weather app is a must have I’ve installed this app on my iPad, desktop and cellphone I’m a native of Nashville so if I’m not able to tune into the live newscast this app is most effective.
The items & stories that I've clicked on have worked very well. I haven't explored every item on the app at thistle time. For local news at any time the News Channel 5 app is great. Once while I was traveling it became very valuable. I was almost 3/4 of the US away from Nashville and was still able to follow a story that kept unfolding not only daily; but, hourly. Newschannel 5 informed, protected, and prepared me before I arrived back to my home ! After having the app installed for about a year or so I have found that on occasion the app alerts can sometimes get annoying. I just filtered them down a bit and I am still I’m h; but overall, News Channel 5 still ROCKS! Thank you News Channel 5!💯❤️
Only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because it is so frustrating that I can’t zoom in on the pictures that are on top of the story.... if they would fix that one little thing I would go from 4 star to 5 star... other then not being able to zoom in on pics the app is wonderful and always on top of the news stories. All in all this app probably does deserve 5 stars but I’m hoping this not being a 5 stars review that they will see it and fix this one simple fix and be able to zoom in on the pics.. it just frustrates me not being able to zoom in and read what’s on the page like when the hackers hacked Murfreesboro water dept I want to be able to zoom in and read what it says and be able to see it myself! Thanks news channel 5 keep up the great work and fix this minor issue!
This Kentucky girl loves channel 5..it’s where I go for news and weather.. I never miss them unless I a good reason. I use this app for the headlines and stories when I miss the real thing and I can stream it all when I get back home..but the app lets me know what is going on until I can watch it at home..there’s not a weather person on any of the other channels like Bree Smith..she takes the time to explain what is going on and what we can expect from it..I love this app to keep me updated on what is going on..
Channel 5 has been the choice of my family to watch since I was a little girl. I’m 63 now and Channel 5 is still my choice. It’s like family. Good people reporting the news, whether it’s good or bad. It’s my choice to receive the news of the day, local, international. Sports, politics and entertainment. Don’t forget the weather. Their coverage is superb. Informational consumer topics. Local news covering the Channel 5 viewing area and surrounding counties. News Channel 5 is my choice and I’m sticking with it.
I've relied on News Channel 5 all my life. I'm 47 & I grew up watching Chris Clark as a kid with my family. I live across the line in Ky but have always relied on channel 5 for the most accurate & up to date weather & news. You guys do such a great job! I would just like to ask if you could please fix the interactive radar to be more user friendly. That's all! Thanks for all the hard work!
We prefer NC5 to both our local coverages on TV and by App! Even with the coverage of news targeting our communities this Station provides much more information, quicker and more accurately. The teams are professional, enjoyable, believable and almost always right! It’s a pleasure to watch. Thank each and every one of you for your professionalism!
The only thing to improve is keeping it updated & I wish you could zoom in, Other than that I love it!!! I check it daily and even receive notifications as well. That’s how I stay updated since I don’t always have time to actually watch the news…
I created a new free account with the news channel 5 news app, and now the app continues to crash when I try to open on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Will try reinstalling. Never had this particular problem with other apps, yet. Thanks. (Edit : reinstall worked. Thanks.)
My go-to source for local and unbiased news. Love the investigations of issues on both wings of the political spectrum. Easy to navigate, especially the other local news stations!
This app is consistently behind in releasing news. Each time I open the app the same news from a day or two days ago is still there & that days news is nonexistent. Rarely current. Although I do love the channel 5 TV news this app has faltered. If it continues to lag behind I plan to ditch the app for one of the other local news stations. Prove me wrong
I love news channel 5! This is the only channel I watch! They are the only channel that is accurate and on point! I love to watch Leland, Amy, Adam, Nick, and Rebecca every morning!!! Thanks for all you guys do to keep us up to date on all the news and weather!❤️❤️

I love the NewsChannel5 app!!!! It’s very easy to navigate, news is well reported, news and weather are current. This is the only news app that I use!!! I check the news about four or five times a day!!
I like the app the news coverage but the recent change to having a pop up ask me to pay for enhanced content every time I load the app is annoying. I now rarely use the app. I understand you have to make money but having to say no every time I open the app is not annoying me into paying, it’s annoyed me into almost never using.
The news updates are quick and easy to read ! We r new here to Tennessee and completely go by this app for latest updates on General news and weather news.
I enjoy the ability to keep up on local news for middle TN. I also like to keep up on the local weather. The only thing that I find an issue is that weekend weather is not current or updated like weekdays.
We always watch channel 5 news, I have watched other stations when I had to but I prefer channel 5 above all. Very informative & always on top of the latest news.

The app is very easy to access and works well consistently. I use it on a daily basis. Sometimes the articles have an embarrassing amount of typos, but overall quality app.
This guess this is what happens when you outsource an app to India. The app is not optimize for older devices. And there are no other features to the radar other than what happened 30 minutes ago. I guess they want you to watch the actual broadcast so they can scare the hell out of you with their 24/7 doom and gloom weather reports.
I have been trying to keep up with the Virus by watching the mayors briefing everyday and I have to say your video streaming service both on the website and app is almost unusable constantly freezing and buffering. I will probably be going to a competing news crew soon.

The app freezes up after closing each story. I have to reopen the app each time I want to read the next article. This has been ongoing for some time. I’ve been waiting for an update to correct the issue; however, it’s still ongoing.
I love this channel however; people just can’t spell well anymore. Just saw story about TN SAILOR killed and sailor was misspelled. No one seems to proofread but not just this station. I love Leland though. Great meteorologist and so pleasant.
Uninstalled this app specifically due to the fact that every time an eyebrow was lifted in the Holly Bobo murder trial, it was classified as BREAKING NEWS and thus immediately pushing a notification to my phone. I would literally get a notification about that trial every hour for over a week. Nobody cares. Classify your news appropriately.
Tonight’s stories. First - opening stage 3. Next - COVID 19 cases in area on the rise! Does that seem wrong?! If cases are on the rise, pull in and self quarantine. And for heaven’s sake, don’t depend on the government to tell you what to think and do!
At the current font size, headlines partially display about 25 characters. I'd be more inclined to reading articles if I could see the full headline at a glance.
We're under a tornado warning right now near robertson county and the tv is out so we tried to keep up with the status of the warning and it showed a bunch of commercials and then said we'll be right back like us on facebook... and they never returned. Thanks news channell 5!!!
