Tried different app with more reviews first & didn’t like that I couldn’t read results without my glasses & couldn’t hold them to read with my glasses on. PD Check AR holds the results so you can read them & write them down. It also has a red/green feature that tells you when you are the correct distance from the phone. I was able to get duplicate results by moving closer until the green “Great! Please keep this distance” showed at the top of the screen. Just make sure the phone is at eye level & you are square in front of it. I tried to be eye level with the camera back lens in portrait mode as I found you could get a different reading if you were higher or lower than the lens. All in all, I thought this was well thought out & much better than trying to measure with a ruler & lots better than the first app I tried.
This app is simply perfect. There’s no unnecessary walk through tutorials, excessive ads, or annoying pop ups. It’s straight forward, easy to use, and gives you your PD pretty much immediately after you open the app. It gives you the individual measurements for your left and right PDs, your far PD, and your near PD. The user interface is so easy my Grandma could use it. Overall great app that I’d definitely recommend for those needing their PD measurements.
This app actually helped me find my pupillary distance for FREE! I already new my PD from previous scripts over the years so this just confirmed the accuracy for me. I recommend this app for the technology used for accuracy! Definitely happy that this can be found without having to go to my eye doctor as they try to con you into buying glasses just to get it .
I want to take advantage of buying glasses directly from an online shop but was reluctant to do so because of the needed precise pupillary measurement not included on my prescription from my eye doc. This app couldn’t make things any easier in getting that info.
Used this with multiple others- was by far the most off
There rest had me back and forth between 65 and 66 mm, which is what I have always been, this wouldn’t budge from 62-64, which is way of. I tried in multiple lightings with all of them. I am a migraine sufferer and having anything off about my glasses is life ruining, so i am happy with all the advances from when my friend and I were using a ruler in CVS to figure out my PD, but at least we were more accurate than this app.
While ordering glasses online they wanted a PD. Like what’s a PD?? Get your brother to get a ruler and measure the distance between your pupils. Like what?!? All I had to do hear is look at the screen and voila it’s done for you. Seriously can’t get any easier.
Fantastic and easy to uses! Way better than Eyemeasure by 1000 miles! Who knew that providing clear and simple instructions could make an app so awesome!! Great job and I bet Eyemeasure secretly uses THIS APP to get THEIR PD measurements too! Hah!
This app provided 4 measurements: 1) Far PD-distance between 2 pupils 2) Near PD-distance between center of Right and Left pupils for reading glasses 3) Right PD-distance of center of pupil of one eye to center of nose bridge
I downloaded 3 PD apps and this one was by far the worst. It gave me a different measurement every time I used it. The measurement was also 2mm shorter than the other two and the one from a glasses retailer. The other apps and the online store measurements all agreed on my PD, give or take a decimal or two. This one was WAY off. Save yourself the eye strain and use a better app.
i needed my PD for buying glasses online and my prescription from the clinic did not have the measurement. so i started looking all over and tried a ton of apps that didn’t work BUT THIS ONE DOES!! THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Went with this app because I thought it would be more accurate than human measurement. WRONG. It gave me the wrong PD and changes constantly, I also get two different readings on different devices. Do not use this basically a toy app.
I took careful measurements myself which ended up comporting with a professional measurement I just had. The results of this App’s measurements were quite different. Please don’t buy glasses online and rely on this app for your pupillary distance.
I used this app to measure my PD. I followed the directions. It provided a PD that was 5 mm too small. Had to return my glasses and hope I don’t have to pay for new lenses again but probably will.
I’m pretty confused , I went online to measure my eyesight and it says for my right eye 33.0 and for my left eye 33.5 and for my far eyesight it says 66.5mm and for my right eye it says 33.0 , which I’m confused about.
It’s great that some people create Apps to facilitate things like this and that are good for the general public without really looking for payment. Thank you very much.
