A must have speech device
The Proloquo2Go app on my son device is the best app you can get, with my son having Down Syndrome & Kleinfelter Syndrome it’s a double whammy when it comes to speech as both disabilities have speech problems and this device with the app helps my son a lot I’m able to add things like taking a picture of his mom,dad ,brothers and sister with there names you can take your own pictures and add them and pick a voice to go with it ,I even added our phone number to our pictures and added our address ,you can also delete items on there you know they will or may not use which I have done I’ve also added certain favorite snacks my son likes, foods, people and so on its very easy to use once you get the hang of we’re what goes and what each item is under you can even pick the amount of pictures you want on ease grid and the size as well ,I am so glad my sons speech therapist she took care of all the paper work for my sons insurance to cover his device ,the device also comes with a strong rugged case with a stand which opens and closes and alphas a strong handle and 2 different length straps so you can wear the device with the app across your body so you don’t loose it,I highly recommend this device with the proloquo2go app for all kids and adults with Speech problems it has helped my son a lot he doesn’t get frustrated no more when you cannot understand what he says or to others.

Excellent AAC app!
My son has Autism and is nonverbal and this app is how he communicates with us and his therapists! We used a Velcro pecs book but it’s hard to continuously make card with Velcro, so his bcba suggested looking into a device. We went with an iPad and bought this app for it, so the iPad is only used for speaking. I love the app because you can customized buttons with irl photos or photos from google instead of drawings, the pictures that the app has though are great and we use about 70% of them! He is 1 year into using the app full time and has made so much growth! The app seems confusing at first glance, but once you get use to it it’s easier to navigate. There was a period where my child would be confused where things are on there, but after letting him just explore the buttons and push whatever he wants he has found buttons I didn’t even know existed ha! The app is geared toward growing with whoever is using it. I’m so thanking for proloquotogo! The price is steep, and it was a hard pill to swallow having to drop that much on an app, but I promise it’s worth it seeing your child be able to communicate!!

Great app!
Happy that such an app exists. Our toddler who we suspected to be on the spectrum before his second birthday has been using this app for about the past 6 months. He turned three not long ago and has been learning how to communicate using the app with the help of his therapists. I really like that it can be customized for early learners such as my toddler. The only reason I give it four stars is because he uses this app on the iPad, but for some reason he has trouble swiping up/down for some reason even after we try to show him over and over again. We were told it’s probably a fine motor issue. For now, we all swipe the page for him to access the rest of his icons. I would love it if the ability to swipe left to right were included since he is able to do that with no problem.

Crucial app
My granddaughter is essentially non-verbal. For years, 11 to be exact, we have tried to give her a voice. We thought because she can repeat that she would eventually began to talk. To our dismay it did not happen. Finally with the advice from a girlfriend I decided she needed a communication device. I purchased a iPad mini and loaded Proloquo2Go on it. She is picking it up fairly well to my delight. This program on the recommended intermediate is so expansive. I love how you can customize it. I wish I had done this years ago because we would be on a better speech ground by now. Please to all who have similar circumstances do not delay whether the child has speech or not make the worthwhile purchase of a speech program. This program is certainly affordable and can be utilized into adulthood!!

Proloquo2Go
Proloquo2Go is a wonderful app for individuals with Autism or other speech and language challenges. It allows the individual many opportunities to express themselves through pictures and different options for speaking voices. The color coding of buttons allows the user a better chance to quickly select special categories or important words. The app can be used to store important, medical, family, scheduling, recipes, favorite programs, important educational words, grocery list, etc. If a caregiver purchases only one app, Proloquo2Go would be the single most important one to purchase. Why do I feel so strongly about this app? The answer is simple: I have an adult son with Autism. He continues to benefit from using Proloquo2Go.

Very simple to manage!
This app is extremely versatile. You can use a library of pictures, take pictures from within the app, and even choose photos from your device’s album. There are multiple voices avail which you can customize the characteristics of each. You can make it as simple or complex as you want. We started with just a few icons for our cognitively disabled son and gradually increased the grid to (currently) like 6x8 grid of icons. He knows it’s layout better than we do. This is an awesome app with awesome support both through developer and a Facebook users support page! I highly recommend this app. If you feel your iPad is not loud enough with a protective case, there are amplified iPad cases you can buy elsewhere.

So versatile in helping my loved one communicate!
My niece has had Proloquo2Go since she was 5, heading in to kindergarten. She is now 14, ready to start high school. At 5 years old, this app helped her communicate her wants and spared all of us the frustration of playing 20 questions in order to figure out what she needed or wanted. It has only grown since then. It has helped her speech. She often tries to repeat what she has made it say for her. Lately, she types into the app and listens to it speak what she has typed. She loves telling me what to add to it and what pictures she wants used for each button. Proloquo2Go is one of her best tools that assist her speech and communication. Thank you!

A Positive Behavior Modifier and Freedom Giver
As a multi-disabled woman who is nonverbal, deaf, partially blind, mild autistic and slightly physically disabled, I found this app, Proloquo2Go a helpful in modifying my behavior to match my age in a positive way and liberates me from using communication partner (the interpreter) by giving me the degree of freedom to communicate with the hearing people while I am on trip for various activities such as shopping. This app was very helpful in preparing me for open our world to prove that I can freely communicate with whoever as I am on go. I believe this app has given me the increased degree of independence of communication and social time. It has given me many positive avenues for shaping my future life through undergo a positive behavior modification and positive social time.

A voice for K.
We have been using this app for 7 years and love it! We appreciate how easy it is to program and use. I researched for several months before making the purchase for home use. This was the highest recommended at the time. Our son is 20 and non verbal unless prompted to say something. He quickly figured out he could make food and beverage choices which was very motivating for him. We even have it programmed for fast food choices. He also uses it to select leisure activity choices. I highly recommend this app! Our previous device was heavy, slow to start and cost $7,000. The iPad, app and protective case was well under $1,000.

We have been using it for ten years now, IT’S STILL important for us.
Our elementary school teacher recommended it for our son that has problems with pronunciation, among other things. His comprehension is good and he has been improving on the navigation to the new buttons/ folders that we add when he expands his experiences. We just show him the path to the new edits. He starts high school soon and he will speak to strangers and they might understand him. Fingers crossed. If you have a iPad (the guided access feature is a must use)

Please fix
I don’t know what happened after the last update to this app but it’s no longer working the same. It’s worse. The sensitivity on this app is extremely annoying. Just scrolling will cause a button to be pushed at random. It’s quite annoying when you’re trying to use this and random buttons are getting pushed not by you intentionally. This started happening just recently. Another thing is you can no longer push the same button/icon twice. You can only hit the button once and will have to press another button before you can press the button you want again. This I very frustrating. Again this just started happening recently. Please fix these issues!!! I paid slot of money for this app.

App is disabling entire device
iPad Pro has been disabled. I have had to factory reset and restore entire device in iTunes. Special needs son activates the password window in the settings button. He enters in the wrong password. A new box, prompting him to “ retry” repeatedly pops up until the whole device is disabled. This happens while in guided access. Reached out via email to support several times. Have not heard anything back. This never happened in the iPad Air.

Life Changing
I am a verbal autistic and schizophrenia-spectrum college student who is more and more frequently losing speech and has what appears to be progressive cognitive disability. Proloquo2Go has been a life changer. I frequently use it to talk to my friends over Discord by constructing my messages on it and reading replies on a different device. I also use it to talk to my roommates, and I'm slowly getting the courage to use it in more and more situations. Highly recommend, worth every penny.

Most expensive app and biggest waste of money
First of all, it is criminal you can’t get your money back for an app you don’t want. I have spent hours trying to make this app work for my special needs daughter, and it is impossible. It is so hard to work with. I have resorted to using a free app because it is much easier to use. This feels like an app made in the 90’s but with a price tag of the iPad itself. This is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. These developers should be ashamed of themselves for robbing parents of special needs children who already are having a hard time paying for therapy. This app is robbing us because it does not work. Parents beware! Don’t buy this app!

TouchchatHD vs Proloquo2Go
My autistic non-verbal granddaughter had TouchchatHD when she came to live with me this summer. It was good, I had gotten Proloquo2Go years ago when she would visit. She had to give up her other device with the TouchchatHD and with the purchase of a small refurbished iPad, the Proloquo2Go program has proved to be exceptional and easy to learn. I love that it says the letters as she types. A very good program, although not the latest version because of the age of the iPad. Still works great.

Communication is key!
This app is really helping our nonverbal twins let us know what they want and need. If your thinking about this app just get it. My only advice, fight the urge to bypass the app. Our default for a while was playing hot cold nonverbally with pointing and head shaking. This app is so much less frustrating for everyone! Also, everyone should be familiar with the app, It helps when working with your children.

Love Proloquo2Go!
Purchased for a different reason than most: to learn Spanish—it seems to work great for that! Love the long-press to get verb tenses and more. Since I’m a visual learner, the symbols for Spanish words reinforce learning. I get the spoken voice for each word and also the entire sentence. Also enjoy Keeble Spanish keyboard as well. If you’re wondering if you can use it to learn another language, I would say yes—get it while it’s half price!

Lack of expressive voices for adults
While this app has been working wonderfully and is something I never had access to as a child and so I was forced to find my own ways to communicate I find myself having to use a child’s voice so that it’s expressive and doesn’t just sound like a female robot talking. There’s one adult male expressive voice in English in three variations but no adult female expressive voices. Girls and women would like to communicate in an age appropriate voice without sounding like robots or little kids.

Hi 👋 my brother has autism and he has trouble speaking (since he’s not verbal) and then I came across this amazing 🤩 app I can finally understand him and I love the features where you add words then pair them up with pictures but that’s NOT the only thing that’s amazing about the app when you click a word it says it out loud in a voice that you pick in the beginning

Great tool for young and old
Wish Special Ed Teachers would use Proloquo2Go and learn how to engage the entire life skills classroom. Over 10 years ago I forced my child’s school to buy an iPad and Proloquo2Go app. Sadly none of the teachers were made to learn how to use it…despite my request. Sadly I didn’t force all into IEP. Lesson to all others, make sure Proloquo2Go is in IEP and make teachers and paras learn how to use it.

A great app, but not enough space to edit
I believe that this is a great app, however there’s much to be improved on. For example, the feature that lets you customize buttons could be drastically enhanced. While creating a button, I wish that I could see the whole text while I type instead of the single line. It is difficult to edit once the text is placed. Also, you could provide more grid options so it does not look to cluttered.

Great app. You get a lot for what you pay.
I’m autistic and I have seizures as well as SPD and complex PTSD. I have Fibromyalgia, lupus and ME (chronic fatigue if you don’t know what it basically is.) and many other diagnosis. This app has helped me communicate when I can’t. I am verbal but some situations cause me to lose my ability to talk. Great quality, great vocabulary, wide selection of voices to choose from. All around great app for anyone with a need to use an AAC.

Please add...
My daughter has cerebral palsy and is experiencing a lot of success with this app. It's so much easier to use (and edit) than the very expensive talker we owned, previously. My one problem is that it's too easy for her to get into edit mode and start deleting/editing or adding nonsense buttons. Could you please add a password option to get into edit mode?

Loving it
I’ve always liked Proloquo2Go but a coworker likes speak for yourself. I now can say I have a search in Proloquo2Go . Now I’m wondering if you can make a hide feature! I also forgot I think you have a feature that you can use if a kid perseverates on a button and it continues to just speak speak speak.. I forgot how you can fix/help that.

Amazing!
Proloquo2 is my son’s voice. I am so grateful he has words through this app on his device! He can tell me how he is feeling, whether he wants to be by himself or have me near, he can order his own food, ask for a break or the bathroom, and unlike the PECs we used to use, we can add more words on the spot as needed or desired. The communication I have with my child through Proloquo2 is priceless!

Empowering
Although we’re still just getting started this software is already proving to be empowering, proving my non-verbal son has more to say than we sadly ever gave him credit for. Definitely a learning curve, but given the stakes and the customization available, it’s not too bad. Can’t wait to watch him advance with it, hopeful he continues on his current trajectory! Thank you!

Great for AAC users!
I am an SLP at a high school. I use this app all the time with my students who use AAC. It is well laid-out, and I love that it’s easy to add or rearrange vocabulary. You can hold down the icon to get grammatical endings such as plurals and past tense, so it’s great for modeling sentence structure for verbal students too. It’s also easy to lock down options so learners can’t change things without your knowledge.

Proloquo2Go is amazing!
By far the most versatile AAC device. Has the ability to be backed up if device is destroyed, can just get a new ipad and quickly replace a child’s/adults voice. We all have the right to speak and this App provides not only accessibility but also can be personalized to the individual and skill level.

Good App
As an SLP, I find this app to be comprehensive and user-friendly. One complaint though, I don’t appreciate being prompted for a review mid-use! This is a paid app designed for use as an AAC device for individuals with limited communication skills. I would not be happy if I was in the midst of a training session with a nonverbal student and had to deal with a pop-up request for a rating!

This helped my child so much
My son is now seventeen and he started using this app in Kindergarten when he didn’t speak yet. His speech is still poor but he can write what he wants now if no one understands him. Great App
This program has been a life saver for my autistic son who is nonverbal. The search option is awesome! This program is set up for his life now and will take him into adulthood. The only thing I think would be awesome is a calendar that was linked up to his Proloquo2Go and a simple schedule keeper. Both handy in the ASD world.

No legacy support for older IPads? Resolved
This issue has been resolved. Anyone wishing to load on an older IPad needs to contact Support for information. I’m not sure if we are missing any functionality because of this. (Waiting to hear from support but seriously....I have to buy a new IPad because it won’t run on two perfectly good older iPads? Why isn’t there legacy software that will work on OS9*?)

Great!
Great for my minimally verbal daughter. One thing: I wish there was a setting to put a slight pause between words as it speaks the sentence. I’ve slowed down the speed of the individual words, which helps a lot, but a slight pause between each word in a sentence would really be super helpful with my daughter.

Great with Apple Watch
Thank you so much for making P2G work on Apple Watch. It provides an entirely different communication dimension. We just love it. If possible, please make P2G launchable via a watch complication. For my son, that would be the fastest way to start communicating. Looking for P2G by panning around or scrolling through the app list can be slow.

I've had it for a month and can't get it set-up in a way that's workable for her. It's incredibly difficult for her to navigate. No wonder they don't offer a trial, no one would buy it after tyring it. To top it off, we consulted with a AAC specialist and she said this is the worst app of them all.
