Absolutely worth the price
There is no way I would still be breastfeeding without my Elvie. I felt like a dairy cow with a traditional pump, and I hated having to change bras or wear a really uncomfortable bra with a flange holder built in. With the Elvie, I can pop them in and continue working at my computer or doing chores around the house. They are so comfortable that I sometimes forget that I’m wearing them. I was worried that they would not work as well as my traditional pump, but I actually find that I get higher yields with this pump. I also have to hand it to the engineers that worked on the Bluetooth connectivity: this is the only Bluetooth device that I’ve had zero connectivity issues with. I don’t know how they did it, but thank you! I have a few complaints. The volume detection is never accurate for me, and at this point I don’t even use it because I got tired of correcting the amount. I wish that the timer had an automatic shut off feature, and I wish that the pump would let you override the full bottle shut off more easily because it will often say the bottle is full when it is not. I also hate the warnings I get about the pumps losing connection to the app when I intentionally shut them off after a session. Maybe this could be helped by a button in the app for disconnecting and shutting off the pumps. It might be nice to also add a customizable “power pumping” program for increasing supply.

Outstanding
My boyfriend came Home with the elvi thought about getting it But it was too pricey 400 and something dollars no thank you honestly it was the best $400 that I’ve ever spent in my life if I knew then what I know now if this had even existed with my 11 year old previously I think my journey to breast-feeding would have been so much better this is a must try I would have quit breast-feeding two months ago if it was not for this product I love that I have the freedom to walk around move around you don’t know how much you appreciate that until you buy something like this I can cook I can use the bathroom I can kind of clean the only thing that you Can’t do is bend over so you have to be careful with that because you’re Malkin spell out I love the tracking just everything up about this product is absolutely phenomenal and totally worth the money I would pay over and over again

Works well but...
First off I want to say that I absolutely LOVE my Elvie pumps & would've probably given up breastfeeding if I’d had to pump with a traditional pump. With these I can put them on in my bra and continue to live my life (mostly) without being plugged in & that’s amazing! A few minor issues I’ve had with it are that the app is not always very accurate with the amount it thinks has been expressed & I always have to tweak it before I save the session. It’s very easy to do so not a big deal for me. The main issue I’ve had is that sometimes the pump sounds like it’s on and doing its thing, but the suction isn’t right. Now I’ve used these enough to know how to line them up & put them on and it seems to happen randomly so I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. Customer service has been wonderful & sent me some replacement parts but still trying to get to the bottom of the issue. Otherwise, my experience has been great and it’s kept me on the breastfeeding wagon thus far. I would never have put up with the lack of mobility a traditional pump comes with, so these have been a GAME CHANGER! Keep improving your product & keeping up the great customer service because I tell every new mom I know about Elvie and I want them all to have a great experience.

Good but could be better
As a working mom, this style of pump is a must. However, I recently had to go 3 days without being able to use the app. Customer service was friendly but very hard to understand on the phone. After my initial call about not being able to login and use the app, all communication was via email. While emails were responsive, they didn’t remedy my issue quickly (it was not because I didn’t know my login or typed it wrong) and they kept asking me the same information (generic email verbiage used each time). I found this very frustrating. During this time of not being able to use the app, I had to use the pumps manually and then tracked my time/pumped amount with another app (Baby Tracker which I use to track my babies feeding schedule, etc. and love). Also, the whole time I’ve had the pump and app, the unit I use on my right breast will lose connection and randomly shut off. I quickly turn it on manually but find this annoying. Lastly, the amount of milk I pump is rarely accurate (often more than 1 oz off) but this isn’t a dealbreaker. All this to say, while I wouldn’t trade this product/app for the old school plug-in pump style, it definitely is far from perfect.

Great except...
It changed my new motherhood experience greatly because I can take care of my baby and get around a lot easier which give me a lot more time to accomplish a lot more things. As a mother who wasn't able to direct breastfeed, it's helped me still provide the breastmilk to my baby with hopes to be able to continue for at least 6 months to a year. My only issue is that while I have it on I've found that anything I do that requires bending over at all, even picking my baby up out of the crib or really from anywhere, the cups leak. I am not pumping a whole lot so I have to actually supplement formula for a full days feeding, so every ounce is super important to me and it can be extremely frustrating for me when it feels like a full oz or 2 is on my shirt when I remove the pumps instead of in the cup. So that's my major issue with them: they are extremely expensive and would be worth it aside from the fact that they can take milk you pumped for 40 minutes and spill a good amount of it from any little movement. I still recommend it but I hope they can fix that

Good pumps, terrible app
These pumps are a lifesaver for a mom on the go who doesn’t want to be tied to a cord. There’s a learning curve involved and they often leak milk out the top of the bottle while pumping and disconnecting, but you can’t beat being mobile. However, the app is so awful. First, it often has connection issues to the pumps. And when I push the Start button, one pump starts before the other, so the rhythm of the pumps is off, with one pump pulling while the other is pushing, making me cringe. Second, while the app is useful because it cycles through stimulation and pump modes automatically (you can do it manually without the app, but it’s clumsy to reach into your shirt a bunch of times), it’s seriously inaccurate about the amount pumped. No big deal because you can see in the bottle what you pumped, but it auto shuts off when I’ve only pumped about 3 oz, saying it’s full, when it’s supposed to hold 5 oz. So if you’re replacing a nursing session, it’s likely you’ll “fill” the bottles according to the app, have to take them off entirely to dump them out, and have to put them back on. It’s just so inconvenient at that point. Do better, please, Elvie App.

Terrible update— actually makes app worse
The latest update takes away the ability to view your right and left pump output and controls side-by-side on one screen. Instead, you now can only view them one at a time and you have to swipe right/left to swap to the other. The update also now resets the clock at zero if your pump auto-shuts off due to the sensor thinking it is full (even if it isn’t really full, which happens often if you lean forward slightly while pumping). So when you restart pumping the counter now counts up from zero instead of showing you how long you’ve actually been pumping that session. The milk volume estimates are still extremely inaccurate. There is still no ability to program your own custom pump patterns (e.g. repeat stimulation mode every 5 minutes, etc). The “lost contact” warning screens still persist even once you are back within Bluetooth range during a pump session (so you have to manually dismiss them before you can view the controls). The app still retroactively “fixes” milk outputs you have already manually adjusted after pumping, so hours later you’ll realize the app has inflated your output by twice the amount.

Go with another pump
For a $500 pump that is advertised as being a wireless, pump where you can continue with your day whilst pumping with ease and movement. It does not deliver- if you dare move or bend over- it leaks or looses suction. You spend more time re aligning the pumps then pumping. It takes double the time to get less amount. I had to join a facebook page for tips and hints to get this pump to be slightly successful. Even then i have had to spend a small fortune on new bras, silicon inserts and tons of new green seals (they need replacing every 4-6 weeks!) just to get this to work, not to mention the 5 replacements in 6 months! The are also NOT hospital grade and not recommended to be used until after your milk has regulated. (Which many people on the facebook group did not know meaning you also need another hospital grade pump) I refuse to waste my money and have soldiered on trying to use these because Elvie refuse to give refunds. I would personally not waste your time or money. The only saving grace to these pumps is the Elvie customer service are fantastic at helping you and replacing parts. Such a shame as i had really high hopes.

Freedom worth every penny
It would be impossible for me to provide breast milk if it wasn’t for Elvie. I had some issues that made breast feeding very difficult. The freedom to take the pumps anywhere and pump anywhere is indescribable. I can pump while hanging out with family , at a bbq, while driving , anywhere really. No one notices. I’m not isolated to a room plugged into a wall. I had the spectra and Medela given to me as gifts, there is no way I could be plugged into a wall 10 times a day, along with the noise and hassle. Yes , there is a learning curve or do figuring out your shield size , suction, breast positioning , but once you figure it out it’s all a breeze. Elvie was worth every single penny!!! It’s an amazing product and the cost is not surprising now that I’ve used it and understand its value. I give it 5 stars for the freedom it’s given me and the ability to provide breast milk for my new born .

Inconsistent & Unreliable App & Pump
After 5 months of trying to use the Elvie, I can honestly say I tried to get this to work well. The pumps are very hit or miss - sometimes they work well and they work, it’s great! However, I can’t count how many times I’ve been sitting around thinking it’s workin only to pull out the pumps to find that it only worked on one side or not at all. If you are in public and trying to be discreet, it’s not reasonable to peek inside and see if milk is swishing around. The app SHOULD be able to solve this problem, however, the feature that tells you the volume you pumped is unreliable- sometimes saying you’ve pumped a volume you must certainly haven’t as the thing is practically empty. This is more than a mild annoyance - when you are on the brink of engorgement you need to pump right away! When I contacted customer service, I received very generic responses, almost as though they were copy and pasted from some script. Thankfully I used my FSA funds for this, I would’ve been even more irritated had I put this on my registry or purchased with my own post-tax dollars.

App changing pump amounts after I recorded
I love my Elvie pumps but the app needs some work. The amounts estimated are never accurate and I manually go in and record the amounts I pump which is fine. Lately however, I’ll go back in to record my last pump of the day and notice the app has changed one of my session amounts. I am an under supplier and it’s important to me to keep an accurate record of how much I’m pumping so I know how much I’m giving my daughter. I only started using the app daily the last 6 weeks or so because before that, I could never get my pumps to connect. It was so frustrating, and I was so excited when the app started working right and I haven’t struggled to get my pump to connect since, but this new problem with the amounts changing is really frustrating and I feel like I need to start tracking with pen and paper again, which would mean the app is basically useless for me.

Best pump ever!
Let me start by saying, my previous experiences with breastfeeding and pumps were horrible, I couldn’t really get myself to do as long as wish I would have, but Elvie has made a huge difference! It has been so much easier to pump and be able to feed my baby as I decided to exclusively pump and it seems as if I will be successful this time around, the app has helped me visually and mentally, seeing each session and getting a clear picture of how much milk I’m pumping each time makes me feel a lot more confident! And it’s the first pump that makes this a little less painful than the rest…also the convenience of it being wireless, to be able to do other things while pumping… that is a win for me and my little one!

App Suggestion
Overall, I’m pretty happy with Elvie pumps. I’m still getting practiced at using them for optimal output. In the app, the one thing that annoys me is the location of the “Finish” button at the bottom of the controls page. It is too close to the line at the bottom of iPhones used to swipe up to minimize the app. I’ve hit “Finish” by accident a few times when I meant to switch to another app, and had to start over my pumping session. It would be helpful if the layout was changed to move this button up just a bit. I would also like more options under “Personalize” for the pump settings. I have mine set to 1 for stimulation and 2 for expression. It would be helpful if I could program custom settings for how long to pump and to increase to 3 or 4 after a certain amount of time. That way I could go back to working without having to pull my phone back out to increase the suction level.

App never works
This app never works properly. I have tried multiple times to delete and redownload app. I have restarted my phone several times. Every time you try to log in it says something went wrong try again. If you try to change your password it says the same thing. From day 1 trying to set up an account this problem has persisted. Ultimately it never lets you log in. The pumps are not that useful without the app. You can’t track how long you have pumped and you are unable to customize the settings. I have reached out to elvie customer support but they are very slow getting back. Still waiting I. A response it has been 6 days. It is very frustrating for the price of these pumps to not even be able to use them adequately and utilize the resources available through the app only. After reading reviews it seems this is a problem for a lot of people. But no solution has been provided. In hindsight I would not buy these pumps based off the difficulty with the app.

Save your money
Since day 1 these pumps have given me nothing but issues connecting to this app. Customer service will have you jumping through hoops trying all these different things just to get the pumps to connect and they never will. Their solution is always to send new hubs if you’re within the 2 year warranty but the new ones they send will have the same issues and you’ll just end up going in circles with no problems ever being fixed. The pumps themselves are great but they’re basically useless without the use of the app. You can’t see how much you’re pumping or how long you’ve been pumping. You’re also not able to keep track of the amount you pump unless you manually enter it in every pump. These might be very small issues but for a $500 pump Elvie needs to do better and find some real solutions for their customers. I’m part of a Facebook group for Elvie users and everyone is constantly talking about their issues with this app. Do better Elvie before you lose customers.

Life changing and now I am a multi-tasker!
Elvie pump is a must for a busy mom! I have 3 kids and I can still do house chores while pumping, with a crying baby and 2 busy kids. Even when I am driving or even when we bought a car in a dealership I was able to pump there also! My anxiety of not having to pump is gone! We camp every weekend also I just bring Elvie charger and pump and I am good to go! The battery life is great it last over a day if you pump every 3-4 hrs for 10-12 mins. I shoud’ge known this product sooner when I had my 2 kids. I don’t usually write a review but I had to share my experience and will continue to pump until my daughter turns 2 years old. You can get this at Target, Walmart etc n

App changes the oz. amounts I enter
I diligently enter the amounts I pump after each session because the sensor in the pump never get an accurate reading, no matter how hard I try, the app keeps changing the amounts for each pump a day or so after I have saved my amounts. I am often getting incorrect daily averages because of this issue. The most recent update is not useful at all, before I had my sessions as my home page, now the home is cluttered with information that is just not helpful, especially if you are a daily user of the app. There is this section labeled “all the basics” that is clearly not helpful if you are a daily user over months and the “next steps” section seems like an after thought that shouldn’t be as prominent on the home page. As a daily user of this app I think the app is not doing its primary job and with the new update it is just adding unnecessary things rather than addressing the main function of the app.

I only wish it had an AppleWatch app
I LOVE my Elvie and the app. I love how you can control everything about the pump through the app. I can control the suction level, switch between stimulation and expression mode, and tell the volume, and even switch if you’re pumping on the left or right. I also love how if the measurement is a bit off, I can adjust it. It helps me accurately track my output. I only wish it had a watch app! It would be greatly useful to be able to see all the useful information just by looking at my wrist instead of pulling out my phone.

Some feedback
Mostly really appreciate this app. However, hoping that some improvements can be made. It’s currently not possible to change the suction power before starting up the pump. This means that it always starts at 5 when I want it to be a 3, which means I always have to endure a little bit of pain when the pump starts up before I can turn the suction down. Also, for some reason, my volumes don’t save correctly. I edit the volumes when I finish the session, but then the next time I sign in, the volumes from the previous session are not saved correctly. These are the only two complaints I have about the app. Otherwise, it definitely makes using the pumps and pumping in general more convenient.

Frustrating update
This recent update requires even MORE tapping and searching for the pump data than before. It was simpler before the update. You could see both pumps at once and a quick visual of the oz pumped. It wasn’t the most accurate at estimating the oz pumped but close. Now you have to toggle between two different screens. Why?! As a working mom I need to do a quick glance and move on. Also, if the app senses the bottle is full it stops the pumping. But the capacity is 5 oz…it has stopped on me at 4. The confusion doesn’t end there. They’ve also made it irritating find the option in the app to switch to expression mode and to swap the pump from left/right side! So many problems here why would they change the app so much without consulting with ACTUAL USERS? I don’t understand how they could justify making such drastic changes to the app’s operation and usability all in one terrible update.

Eh
The pump itself is okay. It works when it wants to. Mine sometimes cuyes off mid session leaving my nipple in a vise grip (ouch!). Recently, I haven’t been able to launch the app for some reason. I’ll click on it but it’s like the app has a shortage or something. I’ve tried deleting it and reopening it but it will not open. Before it stopped working I kept receiving a message saying my email and password combination was wrong and I exceeded the number of wrong guesses or something; that I had to try again in a few minutes, even though I would only try logging in once. This is very frustrating as I now have to constantly keep checking to see how many ounces I pumped because I don’t want to run into the problem of leakage, which is another annoying problem with the pump, not having accurate sensors to monitor milk output.

Easy to use
I have had pumping issues in the past with my body not producing enough and having to use a manual hand pump. This pump has allowed me to produce for my daughter even two months in when it only lasted for 3 weeks with my first two daughters. I love how the app keeps track of insights (pumping history). There are times where the suction is randomly not working but you just have to maneuver it and it straightens out. The app has forced me out a couple of times and would t recognize my login and lost my history but once a new version of the app was available, I haven’t had problems. The only thing I wish it had was a reminder setting to alert you when it’s time to pump as us mommies get caught up with kiddos and tend to lose track of time.

Like it but not in love
Straight to it, I wish I read reviews before purchasing. I like it but don’t love it. If u would have read reviews prior to purchasing i probably would have went somewhere else. I don’t this this pump is worth 500. Maybe 200 or 300 the most. I’ve only had this pump for less than two months and I think something is off. When I use my other hands free pump I get a good 7 oz per session sometimes more if u pump longer than 15 minutes . With Elvie I have to pump until it shuts off it’s self and only get 3 oz sometimes nothing at all. And I’m left still feeling full and engorged. It leaks when you bend over too. The app has the wrong date and I can’t fix it and the milk out out measures are completely off. My time is stuck in November 8.

Honestly..
I could give this 4 stars, it is the only reason I continue to pump/breastfeed my twins. The convenience of being able not to have a ball and chain pump is huge. The few things I don’t like are possibly out of Elvie’s control but I’ve taken all measures to make sure milk doesn’t get under the green hubs and it still manages to & lose suction. Also, I am never able to fill my cups more than 4oz - not sure if this is designed this way to prevent over filling but there is a 5oz mark; that being said, it’s advisable not to move about/bend over to throw off the sensor but I’ve tried staying completely still for a 20 minute pump and still manage to have to empty or switch out cups at 4oz each. It’s a great pump overall, despite the various pieces that need to be washed 🙃

Elvie stride pump - leaks
It is pretty convenient since you don’t have to be plugged into the wall. It leaks quite a bit. You cannot bend down, exercise or move around too much since it will leak from the top hole. What I really don’t like about the pump is that it cannot stand on its own. I have dropped milk so many times since it will just fall flat when placed leaving against something. Also it looks overly huge when I put it on my breast, I rarely wear it out in public since it looks super huge and awkward looking. You will have to replace the parts every few Months and the parts are way over priced. Other than that it does collect milk great and very convenient to pump on the way to work or if you have a busy schedule and need to pump while working.

Amazing but....
I love my Elvies they definitely have helped me succeed in my breastfeeding journey this time around. I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old. It makes it very convenient if I need to pump to keep supply up if baby isn’t hungry. I work retail and they are amazing at work!! No one has noticed so far that I’m wearing them even though I can hear a slight noise.I gave 4 out of 5 because it is a love hate relationship that I had to find the right flange size and what functions work best for each breast. My main reason for a 4 out 5 is the APP...I don’t like that I can’t add a pump session or sometimes I adjust my pump session and it doesn’t save it correctly and I’m always having to fix it. Other that I LOVE my Elvies and I definitely recommend.

First day using. So far so great
I gave 4 stars for the app because I would like to be able to manually enter pumps into the app. For instance, my pumps died as I was trying to figure out exactly how the long the charge would hold (mine died around 10% life remaining from first charge). When they died it didn’t allow me to continue the session to save the data. Also like another reviewer said, it would be nice to be able to log in an amount from another source, like the haakaa. It would be nice if the app automatically when to the control or status page when connected after the first time. The first time instructions are great, but the app is geared towards the first time user all the time, which seems unnecessary.

App needs a lot of work for the price
Not user friendly or very intuitive. This app leaves a lot to be desired in terms of making the wearable pump truly worth it. This app should offer the ability to easily control the pump with a phone or Apple Watch and avoid having to mess with the pumps while working. The app doesn’t automatically recognize the device when it starts pumping - You have to open the app and manually start pumping every time or it won’t store your data. The app does not reliably and consistently connect to the pumps and data from the pumps does not always save. The pump default settings are hard to find. Battery status is not very specific - it should a percent. Having an Apple Watch app would be a game changer for ease of use with this pump. The Willow has a big advantage over Elvie from this standpoint.

Love the Pump!! App needs work!!
I love the Elvie stride!! & it’s great that I can control the pump from the app on my phone, see the battery level, & record all my session info in the same place. However, recently I've been having an issue where the app signs me out & wont let me sign back in. I have the user ID & password saved in my phone so I know I am using the correct password, but when I go to sign back in it says “Oops, something went wrong”. & it won’t let me reset my password either. I get the same message. Usually after about a day, it lets me sign back in but this time I’ve been kicked out for over 2 days now. I can still use the pump & just turn it on & off manually but it just stinks that I should have this technology and can’t use it.

Put controls back on one screen!
With the latest update, the pump controls are on two separate screens you have to swipe between to see how long you’ve been pumping, how much is in each bottle, start/stop each bottle individually. Please put both pump controls back on one screen! It was much easier, faster, and more user-friendly in that format. Other than that, this app is very easy to connect the Elvie pumps and use to keep track of your pumps. Like others have said, the volumes are a bit off but they do seem to get more accurate over time. They are also more accurate with less movement.

Elvie stride love but wish it held a charge longer
I have the elvie stride which I purchased myself since my insurance did not cover it. It has proven very useful being hands free. I wear it mostly in the car since I drive a lot for work. My only complaint is that it does not hold a charge very long. I have to charge it every night. Not the end of the world but something worth noting. Other then that, I have recommended this pump to a few friends and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hands free option. The stride is a lot less expensive than the original elvie.

App connection issues
The pumps are amazing and makes going out or moving around sooo much easier, however the app has connection issues, I’ve gotten my pump hubs replaced but seem to keep running into connection issues after I update or “upgrade” the hubs as the app suggests, the hubs stop connecting to the app after doing so, even after following troubleshoot instructions or factory resetting instructions, it won’t reconnect or even recognize that I’m trying to reconnect the hubs. App definitely needs work. Nonetheless, the pumps still work great without the app, but I’m not able to keep track of pump sessions without it

Saved by the pump
I've been using the Elvie Stride Pump for around 20 months now. Although I stopped pumping after 4 months because I only used it occasionally to store milk for emergencies, I've continued to breastfeed my baby directly. However, my little one has recently been diagnosed with Hand/Foot/Mouth Disease, and as a result, I haven't been able to breastfeed her. This has left my breasts feeling engorged and uncomfortable. Thankfully, because the Elvie Stride Pump is so user-friendly, I was able to start using it again with ease, almost as if I had never stopped.

Needs work
I love the pump, but the app is awful. The predictions are wrong 99% of the time and I don't see the point in having them. When I try to finish the session half the time it doesn't go to the next screen for 10-15 minutes. I don't have time to wait for it to feel like it's ready to show itself. The session will eventually pop up in the list with whatever measurements it pulled out of thin air and by that point I've forgotten what the actual amount was. None of that is as annoying as having the app override my fixes. Nothing more disheartening than looking back and seeing a volume more then you expected only to realize the app did its own thing and made it seem like more than it should be.

Not sure what they were thinking with this update
I’m glad to see I’m not alone in thinking the latest UI update stinks. Both pump controls absolutely need to be back on one screen. I also don’t like the volume indication change either but honestly, it’s always been so inaccurate for me, that I care less about that. And the accuracy of the estimations seems to be more a hardware issue. Like others have said, other future app improvements should include: - better UI for saving sessions. It’s too easy to mess up and accidentally not save the session you just completed - ability to manually enter sessions - let me set the timer for any amount I want. Five minute increments are too limiting. Auto timed pumping sessions would be even better! Overall, it’s always just been an ok app that supports an AMAZING product. I love my Elvie pumps! I’m giving the app 3 stars because it basically does its job and I’d rather have this app than no app at all. But some basic UI and functionality improvements could make the whole experience even better.

I am so grateful for the Elvie pump and the flexibility it gives me! My few complaints are with the app. - it always adds at least 1 extra ounce on each side. I’ve tried wearing black (which I hear helps), sitting up perfectly straight, etc., but see no changes. - I wish there were more insights!! It wouldn’t be hard to add a couple, and I’d find them so interesting and helpful. I’d love to know avg oz pumped per session, pumps per day vs ox produced in a day (ie do I lose oz when I cut pumps), avg oz produced per week (rather than month). - Like the Flo app (for periods), it’d be cool if you could add notes for days so looking back you know why your numbers were off - ie clogged duct, travel day, sick, etc.

Pumping/breastfeeding journey has flourished!
This is my second baby. This pump has made pumping/nursing SO easy and successful! I quit after 6 months with my first because being stuck to a medela pump at work 3x a day was too hard! Now I can pump and leave my office to see my patients and continue working and no one even has any idea! I recommended this pump to a doctor I work with and she agrees— it’s great! I once performed CPR with my pumps in and not a drop spilled! ONLY downside: having to use a paper towel between the shield and pump to catch the drips get a bit annoying.

Please Revert to Previous Interface
Let me start by saying that I love my Elvie and loved the previous iteration of the app. The new app interface and functionality is definitely not an upgrade. I like to be able to control and see both pumps at once. The previous interface was much cleaner and easy to navigate. I also liked the visual of the pumps filling. Please please please revert back to the previous version. Another thing that’s super frustrating - every time I charge my pumps, the stimulation and expression settings revert back to the defaults. Given how much I’m pumping, I’m charging them once a day and therefore also have to update my stimulation and expression settings every single day. Seems like a solvable glitch - help!

Amazing pump, buggy app
I absolutely love my Elvies and the freedom they give me as a pumping first time mom! However the bugs and issues with the app make it almost impossible to accurately track pump sessions. The sensors have never estimated my output correctly even when wearing a tight black bra as suggested and lately when I have tried to edit the amounts to what I actually pumped, it will save temporarily but next time I look the amount reverted to the estimated amount. Lately I have even had pumping sessions that don’t show up as being tracked even though I just used the app and hit finish. It’s just so frustrating with how expensive the pumps were. The quality of the pumps are just so far ahead that of the app and it’s unfortunate.

I want to love this.
I love the Elvie pumps and I want to love this app. While I agree the oz markers on the bottles are off and the estimation of oz pumped are inaccurate on the app, I don’t mind adjusting the info post pumping. However, I keep losing sessions on the app because I remove the pumps before saving the info on the app. This drives me nuts. I have to take care of a baby and work so I need the app to cooperate with me knowing it’s my last priority. I need to be able to go in and manually add pumping info after the matter. I need the app to remember we just had a pumping session and although I forgot to hit save, it should hold onto the info until my next pumping session. If this is a feature that exists, please tell me because I haven’t found it yet.

Connection Issues Always
When it works it’s very easy and convenient and everything else the other reviews say. But for me every. single. time I use it it has so many issues connecting to my phone. It’s at the point where I don’t even bother trying to connect it and I just set a timer on my phone and use the buttons on the actual pumps themselves. I’ve had this issue since I’ve first connected them. (I have the iPhone 11) For $500 some consistency with the connection would be great, but the pumps themselves work great. I’ve never had an issue with the actual mechanics of the pump and they’re still convenient either way.

I like the concept but not the execution
First off I would like to say how much I love my Elvie pump. Its so convenient. However, I’ve been experiencing some issues with the pump and app. The first problem is that the suction will not work correctly. I’ve been using it enough to know how to position it and it sounds like it’s pumping but doesn’t adhere correctly and I constantly have to reassemble to get it working. The other issue is that the app constantly changes the pressure on it which is kind of painful and shocking when it randomly changes. Is there a way to fix this?

Love the Convenience but serious suction issues
I initially loved my Elvie pumps (and still do most days). However, about a month into using my pumps I started having serious suction issues that could only be resolved but literally forcefully hitting the base container and green valve up Into the pumps and clicking them in. I have to do this 3-4 times some sessions just to get the pump to section appropriately. This doesn’t happen every time, but at least once a day. I tried isolating the parts to see if there was a piece that was damaged, but it happens with them all. I’ve read and re-read the directions so I know I’m assembling the pump correctly. Other than that super annoying issue, I really like my pumps.

Leaking
I am a covid ICU RN that is on maternity leave. I purchased the Elvie for when I go back to work. Using the pump at home I have had some issues with it leaking. The milk is coming out from around the front button. It is not every time I pump but at random times. The button is not broken or loose. It happens to both pumps unexpectedly. The pump gives you no ability to bend or move. I was instructed from the company that I need to sit straight up and still. How is that possible with a newborn? I thought it might be leaking because I needed a 21mm flange. I purchased that and still randomly it happens. I am disappointed in the price and it has such restrictions. I hope others have better luck.

Love Elvie, but I don’t like the app.
I would not be able to manage my life if it weren’t for the Elvie pumps. However I can’t stand to use the app and have been using a 3rd party app to track my pumping sessions. Every time I open the app it gives me not one, but two warnings that the app has lost connect to the pumps. It’s not like I’m carrying around my pumps or my phone all the time, so this drives me nuts. I wish the app would open up directly to the control panel (which would be the fastest way to see how long I’ve been pumping) and then only have a background warning that the app can’t connect to the pumps so I don’t have to close out a couple of warning pop-ups 8xs a day during pumping sessions.

Helpful & hope to see more features
Some things I wish were supported: timed pumps (where the pump turns itself off after a designated length of time, like 8,10,12 minutes) otherwise I find myself just staring at the timer waiting to turn it off myself. I also wish there was a way to save all sessions without having to press save…often I’m juggling a baby and don’t have the free hand/time/memory to hit save…or I turn off the pump before I press save and then I just get an alert that the connection was lost and I’m not sure the session was saved.

App Suggestion
This review is solely for the app and is not a reflection of the pumps themselves. The controls are easy to use and seamlessly act as a remote to the device. However, I find the insights section worthless. I would love to see an update of this section which would include data such as: Avg amount pumped/day (could also break this down between right and left), Avg amount pumped/session, avg number of sessions/day. I do like how the milk flow is broken down into time of day. Maybe this could also be provided for avg total milk volume as well. Hope to see these calculations in the app in the future as they are helpful for pumping moms! Thank you!

Was great before the update to control screen
I really liked the app before the most recent update to the control screen. Toggling back and forth between the two pumps is more work for me to see quickly what is going on, the amount of milk in the pump isn’t visual anymore and just an output of oz, there is no “finish” button for when I’m done pumping, and when using it for the first time today one of the pumps glitched out on the app. My pump was still running but the app was ‘stuck’ at 6 minutes and 34 seconds of pumping and froze like that. Really hoping that there is a subsequent update to fix some of these bugs, UX issues.

It’s ok
So while I do love my pump for so many reasons, the app disappointed me a bit. I have forgotten to go in and “finish” the log for my pump session and it doesn’t keep track of the last time I pumped just based off of the fact that I started a session and ended it. I have to go in and manually enter the details or I completely lose the start and stop times. With as many things as I’ve got going on and my postpartum brain…it would be nice if the app would maintain the log if I just start and stop the pump. If I need to delete a session for any reason then I can do that but I’d rather have too much than nothing at all…

Just an okay app.
Honestly just okay. There are so many missing features and it’s not very user friendly. I would highly suggest doing market research and hiring better app designers to make this better. A few things that would make it better. 1. Be able to set default pump type (single or double) so that the controls are for both. There should also be a toggle button so if the user does happen to use a different setting, they can toggle it to single or double, etc. 2. Not have to “connect” to the pumps each time. If pumps are on, they should be connected - like an iwatch or AirPods. 3. Insights aren’t that great. That could be improved. 4. Measuring volumes could improve (not a big deal to me but a big deal to very many users).
