Great App
I really look forward to Pure Barre workouts. I am a barre bro and could no longer do heavy weights or high impact at age 45 because of old wrestling injuries. I originally started Barre as Barre Blend on Beachbody, which is an awesome program. After doing the program multiple times I was looking for something else. I first went to Barre3, which I thought was really fun and the app is really good, but every workout just has too many squats, which led to knee pain. Otherwise, the workouts weren’t hard enough for me. Pure Barre workouts are great. I am interested and feel challenged. You get abs and pretty much a full body workout every single time. I pretty much think every single trainer is great. The workouts themselves I feel are superior to any other barre program that I’ve done (with exception of barre blend on Beachbody (but that doesn’t come out with NEW workouts like purebarre). My only criticism of pure barre is that their app isn’t the best. It doesn’t track your workouts well. I would prefer the workouts to be more organized into programs. Also, the names of the workout types, like intensive and empower are confusing. Like does empower mean weights or HIIT? Anyways, I am in better overall health doing Barre about 4-5 x / week than I’ve ever been before. Very high quality workout programs here.

Great place
I didn’t know what to expect at my first class today . They are first class all the way , they made you feel right at home , they had free lockers , and recommended where you could park , they do have paid parking at the building , they even offered free water for first timers . They took the time to getting to know you , I had a massive stroke almost 8 years ago , was paralyzed on left side for awhile , I still have not regain 100 percent but are close to it . They didn’t make me feel any different from any of the others class mates . I walk away feeling that I could strive to get my old body back in shape , I even had more energy . That is a plus . If you have bad knees like I do , it wasn’t hard on them at all . I can not say how wonderful this place is . I attended the broad ripple store . Take a chance Become stronger , and enjoy the new you . Oh and yes I’m 62 going on 63 , so you others senior can do it also.

Disappointing
I have been using the pure barre app for 4 years now, and I have absolutely loved their workouts. They were categorized perfectly and everything was organized well. I could heart all of my favorite workouts and see recently done workouts. When they changed the app this year, things went down hill. Workouts are no longer categorized by equipment needed, time, or specific body parts(abs, arms, etc). No way to see what workouts you’ve done or to heart your favorites. The workouts are still great, but way less of them. It’s not pure barre itself(I still love the classes), it’s the new app that is the problem. I also cannot use the app on my tv, only my phone and computer and I cannot cast to Apple TV. You can mirror the screen through your iPhone, but the workouts are so small on the screen, you might as well be using a phone. You cannot expand the screen. So now I cannot workout on my tv. I’ve also done most of the workouts available because they got rid of the classes they used to have, so not as many to choose from. And they don’t upload new classes often enough. There is also no live class feature, yet you can join live classes on Instagram. Why not on the app? If they fixed all of the issues with the app, I would 100% continue paying monthly, but I have to cancel for now. I don’t want to workout looking at my phone screen everyday.

PB Go needs improvement!
I’ve done Pure Barre in studio for over 7 years and love it. I also liked using the On Demand Pure Barre. This new Go feature however is crappy! First, there are limited workouts available. I don’t think it’s worth the $30/month price tag to have so few workouts available. Many of the old workouts are gone. Also, I find it hard to search for specific workouts (like 15 or 30 min workouts) and instead have to click each tab like “Classic”and “Empower” to find something suitable for my timeframe. There is no way to do the workouts on my TV with my Fire-stick so I have to plug my HDMI cable into my computer to stream it on my TV. Finally, one of my biggest pet peeves I have about these new workouts is that the instructors don’t mirror you! Whenever you’re doing a video or watching the instructor, you should be able to mimic their movements. In these videos, the instructors will say “now left foot forward” except looking at the video it looks like it’s their right side. It messes me up constantly! I’ve never done a workout video where mirroring wasn’t taken into account. Overall, this app needs a lot of improvements to be competitive to other streaming workouts and is nowhere near the value that they charge. Please Pure Barre Go, look at the feedback people are giving you and change things!!

Pure Barre GO is a NO go
Truly disappointed with Pure Barre app and its support for their much-hyped GO feature for PB classes in demand. To start, there is a major discrepancy between classes shown on the website in the members portal vs the app’s GO section. If you use the app be prepared for total disappointment if you’re trying to “find” a workout. It’s void of features on top of the limited library. Having to use the website is equally abysmal - no way to filter and interface is awkward if you want to quickly stream to a larger device (like Apple TV). In short, developers have some major fixes to implement, including the UX (horrible). Building out an app for Apple TV (used to exist before this overhaul that is really more of a let down) would be a step in the right direction. So, this review is really about the app, accessibility and user experience - NOT about the PB classes or instruction. And judging by other reviewers, the dev team is M.I.A. On reading any of these for constructive feedback or response. If you’re interested in booking a class - use the app. If you’re looking for a great way to get your Pure Barre classes on the GO (oh, the irony) during a pandemic - don’t waste your time. Peep out Barre3 for a better app experience streaming barre classes.

LOVE IT!!
So far I have been to Julia and Kayla’s classes…such spectacular teachers! I am extremely active but the emphasis on joint stabilization through small muscle development has made all of my other activities SO MUCH BETTER! The class moves but you feel very comfortable taking a break when you need to (I have to take them a lot..haha) and finding your alignment again. They emphasize proper movement over amount of movement, provide modifications when necessary, assist in correcting proper alignment….it really is the most intelligent full body strength training I have ever done. So excited to see how I feel 6 months from now. Don’t worry about being clumsy or uncoordinated, I have the corner market on that in class, no worries, nobody cares. Every class is different and the time moves faster than you would think. Super fun. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. Oh yeah, and the studio is SUPER CLEAN. Feels good.

Extremely Disappointed
I was using pure barre on demand when COVID 19 started and gyms/studios shut down and it was great. Very user friendly and never crashed. The new app has been a nightmare. First off, it wasn’t letting me log in several times when I initially downloaded the app even though I knew my password was correct. I was forced to change my password and changed it to the same password I initially had. So just a bunch of trouble for nothing! Finally was able to log on and find most of my favorite workouts from the pure barre on demand previous app so that was okay. Now today I have tried to log on several times on my phone app and iPad app and the app continuously shuts down. I did the update and this continues to happen. I don’t understand what is going on. As a large, successful company I cannot understand why this is going on and has not been fixed quickly. I understand everyone is struggling through this pandemic but this is ridiculous. You have taken away something that was working well for so many people during this time and made it awful and dysfunctional. You shouldn’t be putting out an app that doesn’t work. Extremely disappointed.

Activity Icon is Back! :)
This has been a great app. It’s so convenient to manage my class schedule and sign in with. I was so irritated when the activity icon was replaced with the XPass icon. I’ve looked into XPass, calculates prices, and determined it has zero value to me. Some of the classes you take through XPass are actually more expensive than if you paid for a single class directly from the studio. There I are no deals to be had from XPass. So when I notice that icon was gone and the activity icon was back where it belongs, I was thrilled. If you are looking for something similar to XPass but won’t gauge you, look at ClassPass’s free trial. It depends on your city, but ClassPass is actually a fantastic value.

Very disappointed in GO, Terrible Customer Service
I had been using PureBarre On Demand up until recently when the system was retired for Pure Barre Go. Go seems like a large back step compared to On Demand- I can no longer filter by class length, equipment used, anything.. It seems a lot of the content that was available has been removed as well. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, I have never had such a terrible customer service experience- I have sent countless emails, called to be rerouted to a full mailboxes, sent in customer support tickets, reached out via survey on the pure barre website- you name it, and I have heard NOTHING. Despite paying for a Pure Barre On Demand subscription and linking Go to the same email- I am being asked for my credit card information again to sign up for a brand new subscription even though I have time left on my On Demand account. I can’t get in touch with anyone from the company to help me resolve this issue. I do really love the workouts, but will be turning to another provider due to the downgrade in workout selection on Go and horrible customer service.

Disappointing Changes Made
I’ve been a long-time user of Pure Barre OnDemand and I loved it. The workouts were the best part of my day, especially during the stay at home order. However, during this time, Pure Barre decided to completely change their system and ensured users that all of the content would be moved over to Pure Barre Go, and that it would be a smooth transition. This has not been my experience at all- after days of trying to figure out how to access my GO account, I found that a good amount of the workout videos I loved were not moved over. There is no way to search for videos and there are not the filters that OnDemand had, such as different lengths and feature focuses. The application is not as easy to use, and despite reaching out to Pure Barre for assistance 3 times, I never received any support. This was very disappointing as I’ve loved Pure Barre for years and have raved about it to multiple people, and it was a life saver during this time. I now am so fed up with how they’ve handled this that I’m cancelling my membership and going to another big Barre company’s online membership. Do better Pure Barre!!!!

Ads, Ads, Ads and no stats
Over the last year more ads keep showing up on the home (me) view to the point that it didn't display actual info I want. During the latest challenge my stats would only show intermittently and there was no other way to access it. Pushed out by showing 4 ads!!! I have zero interest in what is being promoted either. I also dislike having to scroll by a huge refer a friend section at the top every single time I want to see my next class time. Consider ad preferences and give your monthly subscription customers an ad-free experience! And while you are in there? Add a monthly count to the activity page...who wants to count up their class tally from a bar chart. Also, you need to fix your goal calculations as it shows a negative number left once you exceed it. -3 classes to go when I'm at 5/2? First and foremost this app should makes booking and tracking classes easy!

1st time
I will probably leave another review in a few months, but so far, I am 2 classes in and this is no joke. I have barely any muscle after two years of little athletic activity. I realize how out-of-shape that I am in, and I want to cry. It BURNS, it shakes, and I am SUPER sore after each class. HOWEVER… The owner, receptionist, and all the class instructors are absolutely AMAZING and have been soooo encouraging to me, that I feel motivated to keep going. I’m brand new, yet they all know me by my name and are SO UPLIFTING!!! I signed up for the long haul because of THEM and can’t wait to see the progress (and for it to get easier within time). Thank you, Pure Barre Knox for being so wonderful, and most of all, so MOTIVATING!

Bring Back On Demand
I loved Pure Barre on Demand. I used it a lot during my maternity leaves and loved the variety of offerings as well as the way it was organized. I went back to use the updated Go app earlier in quarantine and was shocked at how terrible it was. A huge step backwards in an age and time when everyone else is moving forward and offering more and better. I also tried to pause it for financial reasons in April and was also shocked that during a pandemic with historic unemployment, there was no “temporarily pause membership” option from a company run by a big corporation. I sucked it up and made cuts elsewhere out of loyalty and because I joined for the discounted price in the beginning of On Demand and didn’t want to lose that, but after seeing what else was out there for free online, I’ve decided it’s no longer worth it. I appreciate the intensives but that’s about it. They’ve had months to update the app based on everyone’s feedback but nothing has changed.

Pure Barre Short Pump is THE BEST!!!
Soooo excited that Pure Barre is re-opening!!!’ You all have the best teachers and it is the most incredible work out. I have a lot of back troubles and as long as I am doing PB it really helps my back and overall core so much. My physical therapist is also a fan of her patients doing Pure Barre because it is the most intense total body workout out there... are you see results quickly. I have missed the in person classes so much and cannot wait to return! Lindsey is an amazing GM and knows every client by name... that place is where everyone at any age can get in the best shape... while having fun doing it! Thanks PB Short Pump.. best fitness community out there!

Do better Pure Barre! Upgrade is horrible!
Extremely disappointed in the new "upgrade" to Pure Barre on-demand. I can no longer use it on my apple TV, the selection seems to much smaller and there are no longer options on class time lengths or by body part. I really liked to mix and match my workouts or just do a quick one when I have a few moments and now all of that flexibility is gone! Bring back the old platform it was way better! I even tried to cancel my membership but I can't even find where I need to do that?! I logged on to the normal Pure Barre site and it says no memberships on there however my credit card is definitely getting charged every month, I also reached out directly for assistance with no response. Between site usability and customer service, you're failing Pure Barre! I've been a loyal member for years but I'm extremely unhappy with your company now!

I Love Pure Barre Columbia!
Jenny and Hannah, the owners, have cultivated a warm, nurturing, fun vibe in their studio. All bodies are welcome. I look forward to going every day as the music and friendships of others keep me positive and feeling good. I think it says a lot about this studio that many of the instructors have been teaching here for 5+ years. At 54, I’m in the best shape of my life with Pure Barre. I get a great upbeat workout with friends that I look forward to each day. There are also plenty of class offerings to suit varying schedules. What are you waiting for? Come join us!

Needs Improvement!
First off, I love Pure Barre. I’ve tried so many other barre studios and workouts and nothing comes close. Second, I’ve been using PBOD since before the shut down and loved it. But now, I cannot sort for length, instructor or type of workout. These new “classic” videos are of instructors in black with a black background. Hello! I can’t see if their legs are turned out or how their hips are or whatever. Contrast would be nice. It’s now like some weird antsy independent film. And honestly, I don’t want all these chopped up pieces. I want more longer 45-60 minute workouts. At least 30 minutes. I’m not going to waste my time searching for various 5 minute workouts to string together. And it does require significant time to find the type of workout you want. Shout out to Holly and Karissa and Shalisa who ate my favorite instructors.

Good, but Go is missing some features
The app is great for booking classes. Go, or on-demand, is much improved from the last app. It doesn’t freeze or kick me out of the system. However, I hate how classes on Go are organized. I look for specific things like length of class (when I take at home, I pretty much only take the 45 minute classes). In the old app, I could search by time, keyword, month, teacher, etc. In this app, I have to scroll and scroll. I would like a search feature or filtering feature for the classic classes. It would also be amazing if there was a way to keep track of the classes you have watched, so that we can go through all of them without repeating. I also would love to see Empower-inspired workouts.

App needs work
I an a computer analyst. This app needs some enhancements. The calendar is messed up when users click on it. If you click on a day and click on Bookings, the calendar date changes. One user said she doesn't ever click on the calendar. Also, if the membership is not paid for on a certain day, ie, 5th of every month and paid late, the user cannot book a class until the membership is paid for. The user has to get all classes booked by the 5th or they loose the classes they paid for. As a result of the date changing and me not noticing it after clicking on Bookings, it booked me for a Monday without me knowing. Because I didn't go to the Monday class I got charged for a no show. Bit seems like this is set up to intentionally make the user select the wrong day.

What a let down, complete disappointment.
I have been a subscriber for 2+years. They just combined the “on demand” and “booking a class” apps. And now the on demand does not work and I have no access and it prompts me to buy a subscription. They are very good at taking my money diligently on May 21, but say my email has no access?? I have spent hours. Resetting my password, done it all. And when I reach to corporate I get a canned response. I then reached out to my “home” studio and they have been great, but directed me to email the company and again “canned” response..... I have tried to reach out 4 times and can’t get around the automated response. Terrible customer service. I get the gist that it is tough for studio owners to get help at corporate too, the owners would not say that though. PLEASE GIVE ME ACCESS TO MY PAID “GO” ACCOUNT. HELP ME.

So Disappointed Pure Barre OnDemand is Gone
I am a very long time user of the old Pure Barre OnDemand app and it was incredible and also worth the price tag. There was a ton of well organized content updated regularly and also useful ways to sort and view classes by type, length, equipment needed, teacher, etc. This new Go app has tried taking all the content from OnDemand and cramming it into one little corner. There is no sort or search function so if I want to find a 10 minute arms class I have to scroll through *all content* which is absurd. Also I am extremely disappointed to see that a lot of classes seem to be missing. I understand they want to manage just one streamlined app but for how much I paid for the service, this must get better. I can't express just how bad this is.

Workout is great, the app needs work
I recently quit Beachbody because I wanted to focus on Barre only. I really love Pure Barre and that there are sooo many workouts to choose from, but the app is definitely not where it should be for a company as well-known as PB. The app only keeps track of LIVE classes you attend, which means if you’re working out at home your accomplishments go without acknowledgment. The workout sections are straightforward, but there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how the workouts themselves are organized. There is no filter option to pick a class length or instructor and unless you are keeping track yourself, there’s no way to know which workouts you’ve already done.

Epic FAIL!
I am beyond disappointed with GO compared to the old Pure Barre On Demand. Where do I start? Most importantly, there is no more casting availability to your television. What is the point of doing workouts at home if you are trying to watch them on a tiny phone or tablet screen? Next problem is that they took away any organization of the classes—class length, teacher feature, muscle group, etc. Like others have said, it is just a jumbled mess now. They also seem to have done away with the majority of classes available on the old platform. Major fail. There are so many other options to choose from out there, I would think Pure Barre would be doing their best to keep customers happy. Looks like I will be looking elsewhere for a home workout platform. Such a shame, I really enjoyed Pure Barre.

App isn’t great
If I didn’t have to have the app to easily sign up for classes, I wouldn’t bother having the app at all. What is the point in being able to see your class history if you can’t even see the date of the class? I also signed up for the Platinum challenge within the app to track my 15 classes each month. I didn’t know that I needed to accept on the first day and it apparently doesn’t have technology advanced enough to see that I’d taken 3 classes before I clicked the button. 🙄 Looks like others aren’t happy with this most recent update either. Please listen to your users and give us the simple information that used to be available.

New version 50% useless
This app is convenient and despite some trouble k would give the previous version probably 4 stars. But there is a new version and in addition to the already useless pure barre go tab they have added an xpass tab. I think most members probably want to just access their normal classes, and don’t pay another chunk on top of the already hefty pb dues to have go or xpass. I really liked the activity tab that they moved from the front page, and I hate that they now turned 40% of the front page of this app into ads for additional stuff. Makes them look even more greedy. Maybe make the tabs customizable so can get rid of the useless ones, so that one person who did want to see these can add them themselves.

Amazing change already!
I just completed my 8th class in 2-1/2 weeks and I am stunned at the positive changes so far. All my clothing fits so much better giving me hope I can get back into clothing I only “look at”, muscles have appeared again, my posture is upright, my mood is upbeat and hopeful regularly, and the energy lasts after class for 4 plus hours. I’ve never attended any workout group nor training that’s produced all this in such a short time. Teachers are fantastic, seriously. I’m hooked in tight!

Love but need HELP!
I can’t find any other way to contact the developer as the link takes me to the Pure Barre website. Hopefully someone can help me here. I started the fall fit challenge at the beginning but only found the tracker on the app yesterday so instead of showing 11 workouts it only shows 2. I’d love to have an accurate number so I can see how I’m progressing in the challenge. Can someone please help me update this to sync with my actual activity? PS - love the Apple Watch option!

From Demand to Go - upsetting
Used to use Pure Barre on Demand. Could easily pull the app up on my tv, get a 30-45 min workout and call it day! It was literally the highlight of my day everyday. The new Go app causes so much stress to find a class and to actually get the app working. Definitely isn’t feasible on my tv, doesn’t work on my iPad, can somewhat work on my phone. It’s really upsetting to be honest. Such a good thing was taken away from my life. I’m begging they just go back to demand. Also the classes aren’t as good, the demand app had a larger variety and many of them made you feel like you were in a class with everyone else. Just hoping they change things back.

I’m a Pure Barre Addict
I finally got the GO app to work and it’s a great alternative to real class and virtual stream. I’m nearing 1700 classes not counting all the ones I’ve taken in other cities when I travel. In my opinion there is not another work out like it. Thank u for Co to using to make it better and better. It seems like you can’t get much better and then something newer comes out. Thanks to all the studios and a shout out to Pure Barre Fort Collins, my home studio as Megs and RHAYA rock! Thank you so much for making this possible during Covid - 19.

Not great at tracking classes
Update: still a hot mess. The app displays 14/15 class, but the message says 10 down 5 more to go. REALLY! The app is pretty bad at tracking classes. I joined the latest challenge and have taken 3 class already and nothing updated towards my challenge. I’m also doing the yearly challenge and they decided to remove that one entirely. Bummer! Get it together. Challenges are a motivator and people look forward to seeing those indicators move up in the app. Also recently upgraded my plan and it wiped out all of my booked classes. That is not cool, especially for the popular wait listed classes. Luckily my studio is AWESOME, and they helped me out. #purebarreftl

Pure Barre Go! SHOULD BE A NO GO
I love Pure Barre the actual studio. Amazing people at the one in Kennesaw. However, corporate runs the Pure Barre Go decision. They do a terrible job running it. If you sign up for it, then it is under that studio. So you would think they get the money for it or deal with issues. Nope. There is barely anyway to contact someone over a Pure Barre Go account that does not work. I recently got kicked out of my account, and I was subscribed. If I had to bet it was because I no longer live in Kennesaw so they probably had to delete my info. But, I can’t get to the app that I paid for either. They need to learn how to work with studios on this one. I wouldn’t recommend getting Pure Barre Go unless you want to be frustrated when it doesn’t work. AGAIN NOT THE STUDIOS FAULT!

The best low impact fitness concept. The Pure Classic and Pure Reform are my favorites. However, the pace of Pure Empower goes by so fast I need that sometimes. Every instructor will encourage and help improve your form which governs the small isolation movements that changed my body. It took 3 months average 4 days a week. Inches before pounds and I like the way I looked. Weight change does come and what a great bonus. As a senior, 65+, there are several of us, we can do it with the younger women and we are getting stronger. The best complement, “Thank you for taking care of yourself, said my most sexy husband. Second best from my sister, “What are you doing not eating?” I knew she could see my body was changing. Once you start going you will meet new friends another big plus. I started January, 5 months now, love it.

Wrong time to merge apps
While I can appreciate the need for individual studios to increase streaming capabilities and all the disadvantages for continuing the support of two different apps, the transition to Go has been terrible... and is terribly timed. As an OnDemand customer, not all content was transitioned over, my favorites didn’t carry over to booking marking, can’t browse by time and other browsing downgrades, and transitioning without a TV app option is a serious lost of functionality, even with limited cast options. I was just starting to get over the major let down from Pure Barre Experience app release, and now the transition from OnDemand to Go is another huge strike. Such a fan of the workouts. So disappointed in the digital decision-making.

Barre is great. App needs help.
I see a ton of posts and reviews about how Barre is amazing….I’m here only for the app. Yes, Barre is amazing and keeps my spinal hardware happy. These great reviews need to go on your studios social page. Anyway……I wish I could get rid of the “earn your watch challenge”. I didn’t need a new watch, don’t need to track, and wish it would go away. You can only track one challenge. If you sign up for the Fall fit challenge and track, you can’t track platinum barre challenge also and still have to count a million times so you don’t mess it up 10 months in. Would he nice to have both. Watch app is ok. Can’t sign in to class from it. Can only start a workout that pushes over to apple health. I’ve had no trouble here, but I wish I could see the biometrics on the screen during class instead of just a digital clock. It would be nice to see at minimum a heart rate. Looking forward to updates. Thanks!

Poor migration to Xponential. Cannot access classes
I’m a pure barre Go subscriber. In late April 2022 I was informed that my account will be migrated to xponential. In early May the video platform on pure barre Go was discontinued and I downloaded and registered on xponential as instructed. However my existing subscription is not reflected on xponential - according to customer service, the migration takes place in phases and my account is still in queue to be migrated, completion date TBD! This means currently I cannot access the service I paid for on either platforms and nobody knows when it will be solved. Why did they discontinue the old platform BEFORE all the paid customers are being migrated to the new one? I want my money back.

Not worth the money for on demand
I am an avid pure barre goer...or at least I was before COVID. Since then, I have had a membership to OnDemand to still do my workouts at home. I have had so many issues with getting the app to work but my biggest issue is that when they “upgraded” to Go, there was little communication. I was still paying for ondemand but the app no longer worked. When I tried to login to Go, it asked me to sign up for a new membership! In addition to all that, Go appears to be an iPhone only app and looks stretched on the iPad. I also liked to save he videos from OnDemand offline to use when my wireless signal was spotty and if that is a feature of Go, I cannot seem to find it. Overall, very disappointed.

I can tell she really cares about this place & the people in it. workouts @ pure barre improve my mood & give me the energy boost I need for the day. Pure Barre helps with my chronic pain & sciatica from working in restaurants over the years. I’ve lost weight but I’ve also gained so much strength since joining. The guidance & adjustments from the instructors is motivational & reassuring- they are very welcoming; never intimidating or rude. 50 min classes is a plus- the time goes by quickly and then I can go about my day & get work & errands done. It’s a plus to have cute clothes & a rotating selection of socks- it makes working out fun. I recommend to everyone I know. ❤️

Update is better but needs filters for classes
The previous app shut down and froze during classes all the time. For me the update has been an improvement for the most part. However this app update took away our ability to filter classes by length (time), instructor, body part emphasis, etc. Taking away the ability to filter to means that you have to scroll for like 100 years to find what you are looking for. NOT HELPFUL. Please restore the filters to the app.

No way to contact for service or support on the app
I pay for a regular monthly studio subscription and for Pure Barre Go separately every month. I’ve been having more and more access issues with Pre Barre go even though I pay automatically without fail. There is no way to contact for IT or customer support on the app. I must reach out to my local studio, and I don’t always hear back from them, or hear back timely. It is really frustrating as I don’t feel I’m getting the value for everything I’m paying for when things are already tough during this pandemic.

Downgrade :(
I absolutely love Pure Barre! Since moving farther away from a studio (and especially given current circumstances) the on demand option has been an amazing way to experience Pure Barre at home. The switch to Go has been disappointing to say the least. I used to stream through my FireTV which is no longer an option. Watching via my phone screen is not ideal (and not what I paid to sign up for). Additionally I can’t find the same classes I loved in the current selection. Lastly, finding classes is also a huge pain with very minimal sorting options. Based on the amount of time I have, I loved being able to pick a class based on length and focus. Please, please fix these issues!!

In Love With Pure Barre
I joined with the hope of getting more movement back after two neck surgeries. After 3 weeks I can tell the difference in my range of motion, I can actually touch the floor when doing standing waist work. Everyone there is great, they help me adjust the movements to my ability. In this short period I was able to get back into my size 8’s, very happy, but still working!!

App buggy
The app is horrible. You cant reliably cancel classes at night. Will do odd things- “try again later” but if you’re going to sleep how do you cancel a class for next day? I’d like to talk to an IT person but not sure how to reach them. The studio has great classes though!! They thought it was a sign in issue but it isn’t, and the instructors are not IT so I can’t solve the issues. Totally frustrating- this happens once a week niw. Pure Barre please please fix the bugs in your app- you’re website needs an overhaul too but that’s another issue. Without good IT service- your members don't have access to your great workouts!

New app is worse for Go
As a user who joined On Demand to get me through Covid-19, the new app is so disappointing! First off, I believe the classes are organized by most viewed which is why November of last year always shows up first. How do I find new classes without scrolling to the last page? Also, there is no way to see which videos I’ve viewed. There is no way to filter by length, prop, etc. I was using the Roku app with On Demand and now I can no longer do that. So I’m propping my laptop at all angles to view old classes. And on desktop view, there isn’t an option to see my bookmarks. The last class I see is a month old, where is the new content? Please fix usability!

So far so good, but room for improvement.
I really like the incorporation of milestones and goals, but it’s difficult to see an entire calendar week now. You only get a week snapshot at a time to view. Further, if you cancel a class you had previously added to your calendar, it doesn’t remove itself from the calendar. Update: Schedules have been fixed, but I wish there was a way to cast or mirror on my TV—especially with GO integrating directly into the PB app. I would highly value this feature.

The Worst
I was using Pure Barre On Demand and it was the only work out getting me through this quarantine. They took everything good and got rid of it. Now I can’t use the app on my Apple TV, I can’t choose the workout length and I have to sign up for a scheduled class time. The point of working out from home is for it to be CONVENIENT. Now I am at the mercy of your schedule that does not always work when you are at home trying to juggle kids, work, homeschooling... This was an awful idea and kinda mind blowing how bad you made this. You are REALLY out of touch with you consumer’s needs right now. I will be looking for something else and can’t tell you how sad, disappointed and angry I am to do so.

Oakland Pure Barre newbie
I happened on this studio because of their great promotion. I took a class and really enjoyed everything about the studio and technique. The instructors and managers are so friendly and the space is brand new and comfortable. If you’re starting from Scratch or have a well toned body, you can come to these classes and learn something about your personal geometry- beyond iyengar and ballet.

Booking classes is great, PBGO isn’t.
As far as booking classes, the app is great. But like many other users, I was using Pure Barre On Demand while my studio was closed to in person classes. Since that was replaces with PBGO, which has been incorporated into this app, I’m very disappointed. This app doesn’t have anywhere close to the content that Pure Barre On Demand did as a stand-alone app. PBGO is definitely not worth the price for the extremely limited content. I’d still like to supplement my studio live streaming classes with on demand classes, but as it stands now, it’s just not worth the cost.

Stuck
Has anyone else had a problem of the app sticking on a class after finishing it and not allowing you to X out of that class? It’s happened to me twice. When I go back to use the app for the next class or to sign in, it’s just frozen on that old class. I deleted the app and reinstalled it but did it again on the first try.

Welcome Return to Exercise!
After years off from exercise (previous long distance runner), the staff at Pure Barre made re-entry welcoming and are very supportive! After only a few classes, I feel great, more flexible and healthier! There is no judgement on ability and the trainers are quick to help correct form. I already know I will stick with it because I see results and it is super fun!

STILL no search and disappointing support
Since my previous review (below) I sent a comment to the corporate owners via their website on the poor functionality of the app. I got a bog standard ‘thank you’ automated reply followed by an email follow up saying they were glad they’d resolved my issue!! No resolution, 100% frustration. It’s such a small thing to fix and the more classes they upload, the harder it is to navigate. Seriously considering canceling, such a shame. —————————————————————— Pure Barre is brilliant and the app has lots of classes but it needs a search function as you’ve to scroll through them all each time. The old app had search by class/instructor/length which was much easier to use. Another issue is that the new classes are recorded in a black studio with most of the Instructors wearing black clothes. It makes it really hard to see the movements, especially if you’re watching on a small screen. Looks classy but is totally impractical.
