It works now
After it not working for a while, something must’ve changed and it now actually registers brushes from my device. It’s not bad to use. I’m pretty sure I have to open the app every time I want it to sync (as opposed to it just logging it in the background). This is totally expected, but the sync can be a little finicky. I have to press refresh a few times usually to make sure it picks it up. The points system actually seems kinda fair. It’s varied so when you go on streaks you get WAY more points than otherwise, and I feel like I could actually get some free stuff within a rational amount of time (I’m going for the free bag right now). Edit: Kudos. They’re making it better and better. Since my last review I’ve discovered you don’t have to open the app every time you brush, and it remembers your brushes pretty well. Not only that but they made a huge improvement in a recent update where it starts the next day at 3am, which is more sensible and accommodating IMO. Can’t wait to get my free bath case

Great app, phenomenal company
I don’t ever really write reviews, only when I feel it is most deserved. Quip has blown me away with how great they are as a company. The customer service is super quick and understanding and very generous and helpful. I have been a residual customer for a couple years now, only had about 2 issues in that span and they went above and beyond for me both times. I just discovered the app recently and was mind blown yet again. Rewards just for doing what I already do daily? Amazing! And not going to lie, I struggle to brush twice daily. But in the app, you get bonus points for brushing twice. This app is Incentivizing me to implement a healthier lifestyle. Absolutely Genius.i love this company. I couldn’t be happier with quip, my products, the service, and the app! Super happy customer 🥰 I am so happy with quip, I think I’m going to buy the floss and mouthwash too. Keep up the great work quip!!!

Kind of love this app
I’ve been quipping for years with the original non-smart motor toothbrush and decided to upgrade to the smart motor and get rewards for brushing. The app/ reward system successfully keeps me from putting off brushing because I’m too tired, and keeps me motivated to never skip it. It’s only been a few days so far but I think it will last. The only downside is you DO have to open the app and keep it open while brushing. A couple times I started brushing before opening the app and it took a few minutes after I was done to register the brush. I was afraid it wouldn’t register at all. So you have to be vigilant about opening the app and let it sync first to be sure get the points every time. I also wish there was a way to remove the fake “brushes” - if you turn it on accidentally after your actual brush it shows up as like a 7 second additional brush and there’s no way to delete it. Not a big deal, but would be a nice touch so you can only see your actual brushes. Overall a great concept/ app!

Faulty
I love quip and I’ve been using it for a little under a year. However, I got the smart toothbrush, to save some money on special gifts and rewards but the app doesn’t work. Literally at all. I brush my teeth everyday, morning and night, until my toothbrush turns off but the app has only picked up one day. I’ve had this toothbrush for about a week now. I don’t want to regret this decision, but it’s frustrating how faulty the app is. We should be able to set the time we wake up and go to sleep so the app can calculate around the time we would brush our teeth or something. I’m really disappointed because I didn’t expect it to be this difficult. Edit: I’ve been using the toothbrush for about a week now and it works better after I keep the app open while brushing. It’s just a little misleading because the app says that’s not required but it lowkey is lol. After leaving the app open while brushing, the app loaded my other previous brushing that wasn’t first reported. So basically keep the app open when you start brushing.

Needs more realistic achievements for those with mental health struggles
Ever since hearing about Quip, it’s changed the game for my oral health completely. As someone who struggles with multiple mental illnesses, resulting in a lack of personal hygiene (which unfortunately is not talked about enough), Quip has saved me. Tracking my brushing, flossing, and mouthwash rinsing has me feeling so accomplished AND I can actually see the data of when my oral hygiene is good and when it starts to slip. I LOVE the achievements feature. However, I find it difficult to hit some of them because of how much relearning of a habit I have to do, due to my mental health. As of right now, 7 days a week 2x a day is just not realistic. I would LOVE a more realistic goal/achievement, such as “Perfect Morning-Brush Week” or “Perfect Night-Brush Week”, or even something small like a “Brushing Streak” for keeping track of all the days. I feel like that would really motivate me to not break my streak!!! An addition like this in the app would honestly do so much for me. I would also LOVE to see more articles about the connection between oral hygiene and mental health. I briefly recall seeing one but it would be nice to have this normalized, de-stigmatized, and know that I’m not alone in this difficult journey of creating better hygiene habits. Thank you for reading!! Continue to do amazing work on this app. I would just love to see it more personalized. Have a wonderful day!! :)

Quip Toothbrush
So I got this as a gift back around Thanksgiving time and just now getting to use it for the first time and I have to say is very simple Yep very efficient I love the material the bristles are made of and the fact that it’s a smart toothbrush and helps me track my brushing but even more importantly reward you for doing a good job. This is super awesome considering you’re supposed to brush your teeth anyways so getting rewarded for doing something you’re supposed to do is always nice and gives people incentive to keep up with her hygiene. I have read a few reviews on it where they say the getting your brush to connect to your phone is hard so I will edit this review if that is the case but so far so good.

Don’t get the smart brush
Set up for the smart brush is an absolute nightmare. It took multiple emails to finally create an account. And no, there was not an account using any of those emails. After almost 45 minutes and numerous password resets, we finally created an account… but then we got to the horrific pairing process. Spent almost another 35 minutes troubleshooting and refreshing, then asking the support team for help. That was over an hour ago and still no response. I’m pretty tech savvy, I mean, I’ve got over 60 smart home products, dozens of automations, and voice activated tech throughout my home. So it stands to reason that I should be able to setup a freaking toothbrush. There’s absolutely nothing “smart” about this device. It’s going back to Target, and getting replaced by a Sonicare. Honestly though, even a $2 brush would be better than this nonsense along with the useless customer service. Also, talked to my dentist and received numerous opinions after sharing my experience. Several of the dentist’s and technicians all think quip is a gimmick and a joke. Stay away from this garbage.

The App Deleted My Paired Brush
I was trying to sync my toothbrush to the app again after a while of not using the app. My account said that my toothbrush was connected to a different account (which it never was), therefore it was not able to connect back or sync my brushes. When I logged in on the website it was showing that my toothbrush was still connected. But on the app, it showed differently, and I could not get my toothbrush to reconnect to the account. The customer service person was not helpful at all and only kept saying to “unpair” my toothbrush from the app. My toothbrush was not even connected in the app and there was also no option on the website to unpair to try to reconnect. Still having the issue. The app seems very faulty with connecting. The sync has been great through, when it was connected before all of this happened.

I like it with one annoying flaw
To start, I want to say I love the quip brush and the app so far. It’s a great brush and it’s been a great experience using the app. That is, with one exception. When logging brushes on an electric non-smart brush, you are allowed to change the amount of time you brush but not the actual time you brush at. This is incredibly annoying and frustrating because I may get distracted and not log my brush the second I start or finish and may instead need to add it in later and adjust the time accordingly. However, the app locks it at whatever time you log your brush at and there’s no way to change it. I don’t understand how and why that’s not an available feature. It seems like something people would very much need and it highly questionable why an app for a brush this popular wouldn’t include this very basic feature.

good idea, glitchy tho
I'm really big on oral care. So when I saw there was a toothbrush that came with an app to track everything, I was all over it. However I only have the electric toothbrush, not the smart one, so I have to manually put in when I brush/rinse/floss and all of that. Again, I'm a religious dental caretaker. I brush twice or even three times a day (depends on my meals), floss at morning and at night, oil pull, brush my tongue, alladat and more. I figured this would be a great way of rewarding myself for these habits. But, for whatever reason, the app only recognizes my saves every other morning. I know I've been recording everything so idk what the issue is. I'll just check later on and my morning brush tracking is gone. I really really want this app to work so I'll keep using it but maybe the developers should look into this a bit more.

Downhill
I have used quip for almost a year now, and I keep hitting more and more obstacles with this company. The refill subscription ended up being useless, since the package for my replacement brush head shipped and then magically disappeared. I emailed customer support and all they did was blame Covid and did not issue a refund. I canceled my subscription and just figured I’d go to my local store that had the replacements and do that every time, but I’m disappointed with the functionality of this app as well. The app is forever stuck calculating my points. I haven’t known how many points I have for quite a while now, and I’m pretty sick of hoping for it to finally work someday. I’m ready to just delete this entire account and just use the toothbrush alone at this point. It’s more annoying than anything else, and I have points I can’t access. Very disappointing.

Brush Won't Sync
UPDATE: After talking with support and making sure my old phone was no longer trying to sync my old brush, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, it seems to be working much better. Many thanks to Quip's support team! Received a replacement brush after the motor in my last one died. The new brush is connected, named, and selected as my main brush, but it won't sync to show my most recent brushes. I also can't seem to figure out how to delete my old smart brush or my long-gone battery operated Quip. App redesign seems nice otherwise

Good concept, feels like first draft
After struggling to get my kids to brush regularly and throughly, these first two days were VERY promising. They were excited to brush and see their points accumulate. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem created to know about multiple people using the smart brushes, just multiple brushes assigned to me. When I open app, it shows brushing stats but no indication that it’s just for kid 1 (brush 1). It should say that at the top. Then to switch to kid 2, I have to go into settings and select brush 2. It should just be a swipe from the main UI. (With labels to show which brush I’m on) Also, if I add floss or rinse to kid 1, it also marks kid 2 as doing the floss/rinse. These aren’t tracked separately. (Brushing seems to track as expected)

Disappointed in smart technology
I’ve been a quip user for well over a year now and absolutely love the brush and the automatic refills. I figured that I may as well upgrade and get the smart motor technology and earn some rewards while brushing because, well, who doesn’t love simple rewards! Unfortunately, in the 6 months that I have had this new app and motor, I have struggled getting them to sync. The first week or so, there were no problems and everything seemed great. Now, I can no longer get them to sync. I have tried “hard closing” the app and reopening it, manually syncing it, and dragging down on the Home Screen. To no avail. This is incredibly frustrating and has me regretting the decision to “upgrade” the brush. I have also noticed that the battery does not last with this new smart motor. I am paying for the automatic refills, which include the battery, and have noticed that the battery is dying about 2 weeks before the refill is due to ship. I understand that a smart motor trying to sync will eat up the battery life, but my brush isn’t even syncing anymore. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I love the brush, the review is for the smart motor and app. This review was posted about a week after my last refill arrived.

No just no
So I like electric toothbrushes and I love you but I remember my mom got me one and this is my experience with that. I never had a phone at that point so I was like OK I’m just gonna wait till I get a phone so that I can make A review. OK so when I got the toothbrush, I was like I’m gonna connect it to my iPad because that’s what I had that point and the app is so bad. I got my toothbrush and I was trying to connect it so I got myself logged in and everything. I did all the steps of like pressing the queue to turn it on and then turn it off and then like turn making sure my Bluetooth is on like all that and it’s still like said we cannot find a toothbrush like that so I tried it over and over and over again I was like look, this girl was freaking over and she’s literally like me right now. I’m doing it again. I’ve got another one another and I need you guys to answer me help me please.

False advertising
I bought the quip sonic toothbrush and on the packaging and manual it mentions this app. I downloaded it because it sounded like a fun way to stay on top of my brushing. The app wouldn’t let me do anything without pairing a toothbrush. I just found out it only for the smart toothbrushes. I feel like if it doesn’t work with all of the toothbrushes then it shouldn’t mention the app on the incompatible toothbrushes…kind of misleading. I hope they can come up with a way to make the able useful for people who don’t have the smart brush! EDIT: After reading the reply from the developer I tried troubleshooting with the app again. When I redownloaded it I was able to manually track my brushing unlike before.

Works great! Briefly.
The brush, itself, is great. The pulse every 30 seconds really helps to ensure proper brushing. But this app is a joke. After having my brush for 2 months, it started getting erratic with syncing to the app. The time stamps would be WAY off - often by more than 12 hours. It would usually show my nightly brush as happening only a few minutes after my morning brush. I complained to quip, and they sent me a replacement brush, the entire time implying that I was lying. The replacement brush worked great, again, for about 2 months. Today, I saw that my brush from last night is listed for a few minutes after my brush yesterday morning. It’s happening all over again. Get your act together, quip. Edit February 2022: The brush is no longer vibrating even with a fresh battery. The brush is only 8 months old. I’ve ordered a Sonicare and can’t wait to put this Quip fiasco behind me.

Its ok
Well since my actual review was deleted by Apple, here’s a suggestion. Allow the motor to keep working and tracking past 2 minutes alerting every 30 seconds. I have a metal bar behind my teeth and it can really use extra time to brush it from all different directions, and it would be nice to see that time reflected in the app. Secondly, why not half fill in days that only had one brushing session? Since my review was removed with no explanation I guess you’ll just have to guess as why I only gave two stars. For instance, try copying dentist data from safari. Its nearly impossible. Or syncing data using only your Apple Watch (why would I want my phone in the bathroom?). Sorry I can’t go into details, I’d love to give constructive criticism but I guess Apple isn’t happy with that. No wonder low star reviews are so uncommon.

Constantly re-pairing
I don’t normally put reviews out for apps but this is worth mentioning. I’ve been using Quip for a while now and switched to the new wireless charging smart motor brush setup (lost my previous brush traveling, oops). Recently, the brush stopped connecting to the app without having to re-pair it every time I open the app. I select the brush type, asks for the Bluetooth prompt (which it’s already on because the app hasn’t been removed from my phone) and won’t let me proceed further until confirming it’s on, which repeats because it’s already on. I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app multiple times to get it to work, but now it’s doing it constantly. Luckily the brush saves the brush data but if it won’t connect and sync, what’s the point? Seriously considering switching to another brand now.

Not a good app
At first I bought the brush with the regular motor and everything was fine, but then they offered me the smart motor saying that I had to download the application and pair it so I also got points and I could exchange them for products, at first everything was fine, but now it's a headache, I have to refresh the application several times so that I can find the toothbrush, sometimes it can’t find it, I uninstalled the application several times I unpaired the brush so many times and nothing, it doesn't work, the last day it found the toothbrush was on September 06, since then I've been trying and I can't find any help. It is very frustrating that they sell you all their products and when help is needed, they don't give it to you.

Bought to help teach the kids
I bought two of the kids brushes with the replaceable Bluetooth packs to gather some data that I could share with them on their brushing. The lack of colors in the built-in model pushed me to the current solution. I sit next to them while they brush and time them with my watch. I was hoping this would save me the effort. However, I have tons of holes in the data. The app says it is synced but I have maybe one brush activity recorded between the two of them across two days. Oddly, if I immediately turn the brush on it syncs and records the activity. Which makes the data collection problem extra-frustrating. This is also compounded by inconsistent point calculation. When I start the app or sync manually, I might get different values. I also struggle sometimes to get it to sync. While troubleshooting data collection earlier tonight, I tried to sync one brush that reported it had last synced yesterday. I wasn’t able to sync it no matter what I tried (app closure; refresh icon; swipe down). It was only when I turned it on briefly did it sync. This was all about 2m after my child finished brushing. It still has no knowledge of that 2m brushing activity.

Bluetooth trouble
I got the smart brush about a year ago, however it doesn’t pair when using Bluetooth. The package clearly said “smart brush” and inside had the instructions on how to pair the brush along with other things. I saw that other reviewers here using the smart brush also had the same trouble so maybe it was an app issue because I couldn’t access the actual app without pairing the brush first. I decided to wait on it for months to see if the people behind quip would update the app and fix the bugs. It seems like they did and people are suddenly seeing the brush finally being paired. However, I’m still not able to pair my brush. Now I’m just thinking my brush’s Bluetooth doesn’t function or that my package contained an electric brush instead of the smart brush like I purchased. Either way, I tried to make it work but it’s clearly not worth it.

Mostly OK, but Should Work Better
I’ve been using Quip and its app for over three years now. While it is an undeniably beautiful app that usually works, it can be buggy and some of these quirks have remained present for years now. For example: 1. The Bluetooth connection bug: When you turn Bluetooth off and then on again on your phone (you may need to do this for several reasons), the app often disconnects from your device and you may have to uninstall and reinstall it. In the meantime, you may lose data from your brushes. Sometimes this also happens after an app update also. Very frustrating! 2. Statistics: Percentage of time the app shows on your upper and lower teeth still isn’t accurate. This is a forever beta, I suppose. 3. Brush types: We’ve finally, a year after the initial release of the Pride brush, gained the ability to properly identify it in the app. Better late than never, I guess. Overall when the app works, it works well. Some of this may seem nitpicky, but I just think after three years (especially as Quip continues to add features) some of this should get better.

SmartBrush not syncing
My smart toothbrush it’s not syncing with the app there is not a refresh or sync button in the home page, I used to have the regular quip toothbrush and since I discovered the app wanted to log in my sessions sometimes forgetting about them and that’s when after reading about the new smart toothbrush and that the app won’t required to be open and only to make sure that the phone and app to be closer to each other (10ft-mind you I have it not even 1ft close to each other) I cave in, what a horrible experience it doesn’t work, I have deleted the app refresh/soft rest my phone, reset app cache, turn off and on loading the app again allowing Bluetooth access, turning Bluetooth on and off, nothing works, I wish the reviews where more honest I wouldn’t expend the money for a non working service

Good, not great
As someone who struggles with their mental health which sometimes means struggling with self-care tasks I love this app. There is a joy to syncing your brushing and earning points, etc. The issue with the app is that if you forget to track something like flossing before going to bed, then you’re out of luck. It’s easy to forget if your exhausted and doing your evening hygiene immediately before bed; or if you forget to bring your phone to the bathroom with you. You cannot add it for the day before in the morning. This seems like it would be an easy fix since the flossing and mouthwash aren’t “smart” devices and don’t sync on their own anyway.

Great at first
I loved the idea of this. I needed something to keep more accountable for brushing my teeth more regularly. The built in ‘reward’ system was awesome for the first month. I really appreciate seeing the feedback on my brushing techniques. After about a month the bluetooth wasn’t working. I unistalled and reinstalled. Turned the bluetooth on and off multiple times. Turned my phone on and off. I did everything I could think of plus whatever tips I saw online. All my other bluetooth devices stay to my phone. Quip toothbrush will connect but then disconnected before my two minute brushing time is up. It doesn’t save any data because it got cut off. Its a real bummer because I was doing so good with starting a good habit with this system in place.

App is a silly gimmick - limited usefulness
I understand the idea behind a Bluetooth motor that syncs to an app so you can track how often/well you brush. However, even after many updates, it still takes several MINUTES to sync the app, every time I open it. I used to check daily but this waiting to sync became so annoying that I now check only about once a month. The “incentives” to brush for the full 2min, twice a day are absurd. Let’s put it this way, the Quip incentives don’t even come close to incentivizing me to wait for the app to sync more often than once a month so — naturally, they’re doing nothing at all to incentivize me actually brushing as I should. I do that on my own. The upsale to the Bluetooth motor and app are not worth it.

Buggy app and junk brush
I’ve had so many issues with the app. Trying to get help was nearly impossible. The text box kept disappearing. Even just registering was a pain. My brush didn’t even last 4 months. It just stopped working, won’t come on at all (yes, I charged it). I emailed customer support 4 days ago and haven’t heard back. And now I’m reading through the information, it’s saying the warranty is only valid if you have an active subscription plan! I cancelled mine because I wanted to buy the brush tips at a local shop. To make matters worse, the brush tips I bought locally didn’t fit correctly (they keep popping off) so I was just about to restart my subscription when the brush stopped working. I loved my Quip at first but this experience has been absolute garbage. Buyer beware.

The app doesn’t always update my brushing
Not only that, but the toothbrush itself is wonky. The 30 second buzz that lets me know to change spots, seems to buzz much earlier than 30 seconds. If the toothbrush is fully charged, it will do the pulse (that lets you know you are almost done), at about 90 seconds in, rather than when 2 minutes are just about up. I am using a plastic rechargeable Quip (blue). It recently became time for me to change the head. I bought a replacement head (white, blue was not available), and it keeps falling off. I don’t see any locking mechanism to keep the new head in place. I saw nothing on the box that indicated it won’t be compatible.

Quip Smart Brush
As someone who’s embarrassingly not good a keeping up with brushing and flossing their teeth, let me tell you the Quip line of products is amazing. I really like that the smart brush tracks how you actually brush your teeth. I’ve also been looking for a reusable floss pick for so long! I definitely recommend all/any of their products. Also, not having to go to the store for refills on toothpaste/mouthwash is a bonus. Plus their toothpaste/mouthwash is vegan friendly which is awesome!

Won’t pair
Toothbrush won’t pair and I bought to see if the app could help me track my habits. I have a tendency to bite my toothbrush while brushing my teeth so dentist recommended I get an electric toothbrush to see if the vibrations distract me from biting. But won’t pair so I can’t keep track and see if the advantage of the vibration…. No one tells you, you need to turn location on for it pair up. But on iPhone doesn’t even show in location settings. Says in the Bluetooth section of the location of privacy but doesn’t on the syncing of Bluetooth nor even show I have a toothbrush on the app itself. So returning immediately, how disappointing

Almost Amazing
I have a really hard time brushing my teeth, and quip has helped me get back on track with oral care. It’s so great to have an app that congratulates and encourages you to take better care of your mouth. My only qualm (though rather substantial) is that the streak appears to reset after 7 days. I think I would be much more enthusiastic about brushing if it kept going as much as I did (ex: “30 days! a whole month!”) But if you have a hard time remembering (or being motivated) to brush your teeth, this is the best app ever to help you get back in the game.

Love the program, not app so much
I love Quip so far and have had one of my refills already. However, the app is quite buggy. My “calculating points” spins forever and never gives me a score. Sometimes, despite brushing for two minutes per session and twice a day, the app breaks my “brush streaks” for no discernible reasons. When contacting support, it goes into my email app instead of sending from the app, so unless I remember to send from my email used to set up quip, support refuses to help me until I resend from the right account. That is silly. I should be able to identify from any number of ways beside that.

Disappointed
I've been using this for a few months now, and the last 2 updates to this app have been nothing but frustrating and disappointing. I had many days where I spent more time getting the brush to turn on and connect than brushing my teeth, which defeats the purpose of the app and brush. It fails to record 3-4 out of 7 days of the week, the brush time is pretty off, and often the brush stops working mid brushing. I purchased quip because it was very affordable and seen a lot of good reviews. However, now I'm considering canceling my subscription and search for another smart toothbrush. The issue is not worth saving a few dollars for.

Don’t even bother
This is the first time I’ve tried quip and so say its been disappointing is an understatement. I’ve tried countless times and the toothbrush will not pair. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app SEVERAL times, replacing the toothbrush battery, turning my Bluetooth off and on, turning the phone off and on, closing and re opening the app so many times and it’s the same message. I will be returning this brush and just splurging on the oral-b iO6. And suggest anyone who picks up this hot garbage to do the same. And one feature may seem small when I buy a product but I expect that product to work to the full caliber it’s advertised as. If I wanted a basic electric toothbrush I would’ve gotten one.

I want to love it
The app works great… when it works. 90% of the time the app WILL NOT WORK, when open or not. You 100% have to open the app while your brushing, and even then. My last brush recorded was JANUARY and I’m writing this in May. I want it to work without the step of opening an app, waiting for the brush to connect, THEN brushing my teeth. If the brush is on while I’m waiting for it to connect, it will count it as a session, even while just… waiting to connect. If I turn it off and then start again with my brush it’s a weird second session. Annoyed as I like to track everything.

Love The Whole Quip System!!
I love this product and the whole system! It’s so nice having my refills just show up to my door every three months and how I can earn points in the app that can be used as credit, and all I have to do is just log my brushing morning and night! Definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone, it is affordable, environmentally friendly, and it just helps you stay in a routine of amazing oral care!

I left a review noting that the HealthKit integration isn’t working, and the developer got back pretty quick notifying me that the latest update fixes the issue. I downloaded it and it’s fixed. It’s a pretty good app and I like simple data it shows from your last brush. I docked one star because syncing isn’t “magical.” Maybe it’s not the app, but I always have to wait a while for the app to get the latest brush info when it’s right next to my phone. Other than that, the app is awesome.

Best toothbrush; good app!
I love my Quip and this app is pretty great; but it could use some improvements. The sync isn’t always reliable and the interface is a bit quirky and cluttered. Please fix the UI to look better on iPhones with Dynamic Island (maybe just remove the word/logo Quip from the top; it’s not needed, we know what app we’re in). Also, please remove the points animation, it’s long and obnoxious. Some suggestions: widgets, background sync (if possible), and the option to customize the app layout and icon.

I like it but could fix issues
Doesn’t sync up to my time zone so will count some brushes as next day brushes. This is unfortunate when you’re trying to accumulate quip points and doing 2 brushes a day. Has trouble staying connected via Bluetooth with my iPhone. Have to reconnect to update my quip points. The app has missed recording some brushes all together. I like the look and feel of the brush (I have the matte black finish). I enjoy the 30 second notification to move to another part of the mouth. The sticky part on the toothbrush holder holds firm on my bathroom mirror.

Very user friendly!
The app works really well, but I wish there was a spot on the main page that displayed your daily streak. It would be a fun motivator and would also make it easier to help see when you’re due for new brush heads! UPDATE: I would LOVE to see an Apple Watch app for Quip! It wouldn’t have to be extensive, but it would be easier than logging through the brush+floss+rinse steps on my phone every time.

kinda like it. kinda dont.
I really do enjoy the toothbrush and the idea of earning points to get cash off of other quip products. But the app not having any widgets to make a quick mark of completion for the day, makes it hard to log in the app twice a day every day. You also get notifications all the time for random sweep skates that you may or may not be interested in. I know today I received three notifications and I always wake up with a couple. Not sure if I’m gonna keep the app, but I like the toothbrush itself.

Latest update
Update- I updated the app again and everything is working great now. Whatever the glitch was has been fixed. The latest update messed everything up, I can’t sync my smart toothbrush anymore since I did the update. Says there was an error and they are working on fixing the problem. It’s been 3 days and still not syncing.

Rewards Are Super Overpriced
Love the app and the brush! It’s sleek, easy to store/charge/travel with and easy to use. I have the electric brush but not the smart brush so it’s not synced for brushing - I have to manually log my activity. The rewards that they offer are WAYYYY overpriced, did the quick math and I’d have to brush, rinse, floss every single day for over two years just to get a $5 gift card. LOL. I brush my teeth 2x a day anyways but cmon! If part of the purpose of this brush is to incentivize brushing, the rewards are totally not doing that. Everything else about it is great though!

Great toothbrush and water flosser.
I think it’s a great company and I love the toothbrush I’ve had it about a month now I got the water flossed with it and it’s pretty good so far I’m happy with my purchases. Sometimes it doesn’t track your brushing also you have to go in the app every time you brush for it to count it other then that it’s pretty good. Love the idea you can earn things for brushing I think that’s a great idea!

It works! ...mostly
Firstly, I'll start off by saying I love the product line quip has to offer. I recently purchased the all black metal quip smart-brush. It feels nice to use, and their watermelon toothpaste is great for anyone looking for something a little less harsh than the standard mint. The only thing preventing me from giving the app five stars is the app usage itself. It tracks most of the data fine, but will sometimes not track intensity at all, despite how "intense" I brush my teeth.

Unrealistic Expectations
Another disappointing modification to the app that reflects unrealistic expectations. It is expected that you will log in your dental hygiene daily. Under normal circumstances that can happen. But given that we are human and nothing is absolute, if you don’t log in your rinse and floss you cannot edit your previous days activity to include these things - only the data uploaded from the brush. We aren’t robots quip. Sometimes there are other things going on that distract from completing the edits for floss and rinse.

Don’t bother upgrading to the SmartBrush
In the first few months, my brush was working just fine. But recently I have been having issues with the brush staying on for the full 2 minutes. I thought this was the way of the brush telling me to change the battery, but I still have the same issue. I just continue to press the button until the brush makes it to two minutes. So not only is it annoying when I’m trying to get the brushing done, but it messes with my rewards on the app. Never had this issue with my basic motor. So if you’re consistent in your brushing habits don’t bother upgrading to the smart motor.

tell me you used AI without telling me you used AI
This update is so awful I’d give it 0 stars but since I can’t do that it’s stuck getting 1 star. And there are a few reasons why. 1) You shouldn’t have to forget the brush and start the process all over again for it to maybe now work properly. 2) How do you know when the brush is dead? When it stops in the middle of brushing your teeth? When it won’t turn on? How is that effective in tracking, which is the main point of the app. I’m not gonna wait until it’s charged to brush my teeth. That’s just silly. 3) This one is a personal thing but I’m sure it applies to others. I was saving up all my points for the refresh bag. I got to 9000 points when you all decided it’d be a fantastic idea to change the entire system. And now the only 2 options are a FIVE dollar e-gift card to target or quip. So generous of you all to help cover tax and/or shipping! I want the old app back. Please and thank you!

so hard to use
I was expecting this to be so easy. First i did log in however it wouldn’t let me pair my sunset sonic toothbrush. I wasn’t sure if it was just a brush that wasn’t bluetooth please let me know if it’s not. But then i logged out because i thought maybe it would help to try to reset it. When i try to log back in and type my email the continue button doesn’t light up and it won’t let me in. So now i have no way of getting back into my account. Let alone the app being so confusing. It’s so hard to find that AI chat center where i can ask questions and get a quick response.
