I like this app because it lets you play a beautiful rainy day/ night sound but... other backgrounds and sounds cost a certain amount of money to get it besides from that I say in my opinion if you’re reading this you I suggest that you should really get this app if you’re trying to relax, sleep, or just wanna listen to this during reading a book, or anything I really like this app though! You should really get it! It’s such a pretty sound and u can adjust it to the perfect point/ sound mark. And it has this “Set Timer Button” and you can set it for whenever you want it to end! I hope this really helped a lot I’m only 10 and I tried my best to describe this app well. I have sleeping issues and this helps with trying to sleep!
I really love this app because it’s simple and straightforward. I have always used the free version and never had any issues. You get three controls for rain intensity, bird sounds and thunder. You can turn them up or down as you please. It may be a con to some but I like how the sounds keep playing in the background even if you close the app. I enjoy listening music with the rain sounds on as well and it works great for me. I would recommend this app to anyone looking for some clam nature sounds or ambient background noise.
Love the sounds. I sleep with ocean waves or rain sounds playing to help maintain steady sleep. I was jazzed about this app because most of them play like songs, that is they play for a time, then fade out before repeating. The sudden silence often wakes me up. So one that plays continuously seemed great! But when I plug my phone into my Bose system and play this app, it cycles through periods of louder and quieter rainfall. If you turn up the volume to hear the quieter parts better, the louder parts are shockingly loud! And if you turn down the volume to keep the louder parts reasonable, the quieter parts are so quiet they’re basically silent. Then after a few minutes, the cycle repeats: slowly fluctuating from loud to silent. Am I the only one who had this problem? I’d love to use it, but can’t figure out how to make it just play at a steady volume!
I use this app for its base features with the rain and thunder sounds to help me go to sleep. I remember pulling up Rainy Mood on my laptop as a kid and almost frying my battery every night just so I could listen to a storm until I fell asleep. Up until a few months ago, I had no idea that they turned it into an app. It’s just more convenient than having a browser open on my phone, lol. I’m not sure if I’ll ever upgrade from the Lite version, but that’s the only bit I can’t speak about.
I grew up with my Mom who loves the rain. We would always watch rainstorms roll by like a movie picture, we’d even have snacks as it’d pass. It’s safe to say rain will always hold a special place in my heart. And this app delivers that perfect experience. Unfortunately if you want to use the other sounds, you will have to pay. 🙁
As I am sitting here, at 7:02 AM, still trying to get some sort of sleep in, I finally found an app that can literally cancel out the noise that my mom makes every night. As she’s banging dishes, I’m listening to rain. As she stomps around the house anxiously, I’m listening to rain. As she vacuums at 5:30 AM, I’m listening to rain. As she continues to do this, I will continue to listen to rain.
This is one of my favorite rain sound apps and I use it often. The best part is there are no commercials. Nothing is worse than falling asleep to the soothing sound of rain only to be startled awake by the sound of a voice from a commercial! That experience never happens when you listen to Rainy Mood! I am thankful for this lovely app.
I love the rain and thunder sounds! They’re some of the best sounds I’ve found online. I also like that you can adjust them. One thing I wish was different is that I could adjust the rain and my music with different volumes so that the music doesn’t drown out the rain sounds. That may be too complex for a free app, so I’m not going to complain too much.
I started out using their website but when I found out they had an app I HAD to get it. It has more options on the app and I use this to fall asleep every night. It especially helps when I’m traveling and staying in new places.
I use this when I listen to music and study. Great for focusing and white noise. I would love to use this when I sleep but I don’t want it to go on all night I wish there was a timer so that I could set it to only play for an hour or two as I go to sleep.
I’ve used rainymood’s website for years now and absolutely loved it. The soft patter of the rain, the gentle rolling thunder, the bird songs, all of it is so classically soothing! I wish the website’s daily music could be incorporated into their app, and the other locations require a payment to be unlocked. Those are the only issues I find. Overall outstanding app!
My first experience I fell asleep to rain an thunder from this app. woke up with my windows open and my curtains blowing around with aTorrential downpour outside made my experience a little realistic. So I would say that this app is perfect! thank you for the experience!!!! I still use it
I got this app as a means to have relaxing background noise through the anxiety filled quarantine and it’s helped so much. I also adopted a 50lb new puppy from the shelter and I’ve been using it to curve his separation anxiety. He REALLY loves it. Get this app and pay for the extra soundscapes. Totally worth it!
I’ve been using this app to meditate. Particularly to shut out the sounds around me while I meditate and it has helped me tremendously!!!! In two weeks of using this to meditate I feel so much more relaxed and my head feels so much clearer. AMAZING APP - get it and start loving yourself!
I love this app! You can play just the sound of rain all day long. I do not want other sounds and this is perfect. Weather trying to get my baby to sleep/calm down or working in the office, anytime I miss autumn and warmth I go to rainymood! Thank you!
This app would be lovely except that there is some sort of distant droning alarm going off in the background of the main rain sounds and it's incredibly distracting and all I can focus on now I've noticed it. Would give one star, but you could probably ignore it if you listen very quietly or not on headphones.
I use it to drown out my girlfriends snoring a lot and the sound of rain has always helped soothe me. I really like the app more so than just the website, especially because of the sleep timer.
I got this app recently to help me fall asleep and am extremely impressed. I can adjust the sounds easily on the app and I can set a sleep timer! Definitely would recommend!
I’ve been using this app for years. For some reason now when the alarm goes off to snooze it plays bird sounds mixed in with the rain making it impossible to sleep. So annoying
It’s a really good app overall but it doesn’t play through airplay. The sound still goes through the phone speakers. It works fine with Bluetooth but Apple has a better option called airplay which I can use with smart speakers and my airport express. Doesn’t work. Please look into this. Update: This bug still exists. This app is now very bad.
1. Needs the ability to be shown in landscape mode (very annoying on iPad) 2. Needs the ability to turn audio on/off using the iPad notifications menu.
Great sounds, love that you can adjust the thunder and bird noises, and that it continues to play when your screen sleeps. If the “plinking noise” in the rain sound wasn’t there, it would be perfect- wakes me up every time.
This is the perfect app for me when I want to relax, sleep, or study. When I sleep I have to have “white noises on” like the tv, but this is so much better!! I love it!.
Rainy mood is a very relaxing app. It helps me when I am tired and can’t sleep. My favorite part is the thunder. The only problem I have with the app is that it makes me have to pee. Otherwise. Great app!!!
Why is there what sounds like a lawn mower or some roaring machine off in the distance during parts of classic rain? Mood spoiled! I like the rain sound but this is very distracting, I don’t want to buy the app if all of them have this issue.
