Great App. I hope IT adds more info & links
I recently moved to Utah from California. I had Blue Cross and Blue Shield in California. I like to stay with the “blues” because they’re the biggest and offer the best customer service, at least for Medicare participants. I rated this app a 4, but for what it does it’s a 5. For me to mark as a 5, I would love to see more links (for those of us that wish to research more about our specific situation.) For example, a link to forms we might need; being able to add an authorized user to access info; a downloadable SEARCHABLE RX Formulary that provided drug tiers, Costs, or alternatives; links to other plan Benefits websites such as Dental, Vision, Silver&Fit, Etc. Note: some of these suggestions may already be available on this app. But if so, they are difficult to find. Perhaps some easier searchability would help. Luckily, their customer service is awesome!!

Update made the app horrible
First off, this app never opens on the first try. It just pulls up a Regence splashscreen and nothing more. Doesn't move no matter how long I wait. Upon force closing and reopening the app, it typically works, but only if you sit there and wait for it to log in - you can't switch to another app while it's logging in, which always takes a while, or you're right back to being stuck at the Regence screen. It used to be there was a lovely list of recent claims that showed the amount owed to the right of each one. A few months ago, the app updated, and that is no longer the case. It still shows a list of recent claims, but you have to go into each one of them in order to see any details. This is simply horrible, because I have to spend a lot of time manually going through my many claims to make sure everything is okay with each one. No more quick scroll to see if any of the amounts owed are higher than they should be. PLEASE bring the old layout back. This new version is serious crap.

Why does this trash have such a high rating?
I downloaded based on the star rating, expecting be able to have easy mobile access to find providers and pharmacies in my network. I wanted this feature specifically for my adult daughter, who is still on my insurance, but lives away from home for school. She doesn't live in an area where our main network providers are, so I wanted her to be able to easily find "preferred" providers in her area. This is not an actual feature that works on this garbage app. What is the point of the app without these convenient mobile features for use when you're away from home? And more importantly, who in the world is giving four and five star ratings for an app that is basically worthless when you're away from home? Isn't that what mobile apps are for? Do better, Regence. You collect enough of our hard earned money that you should be able to provide better mobile access to tools we would actually be able to use.

Worse version of the website
It’s near impossible to use the find doctor function (the main reasons people would use this app.) It sends you to an endless loop of logging in, once you manage to get to the find a doctor section you’ll be stuck loading the page again every time you apply each filter, and there’s no option to email any providers. And, no joke, the app is just the mobile website with a different colored border. You’d figure a company this size could spend a little extra for an actually functioning app. Skip the app all together and just call your insurance themselves to find a provider, since the 15-40 minute wait time will still be quicker and less frustrating.

Meets our Needs
I have a LOT of medical charges and I appreciate getting an email each time a claim is processed. I do check routinely what is charged. My request is that you make it easier to delete messages in the app without the need to open each one and delete one at a time. I ess as Mt to be able to delete many once I’ve checked it.

Multi-billion dollar company
The only reason people would download a medical insurance app is to find an In- Network providers in their area. But this app fails in every way. You are a multi billion dollar per year company! Maybe you don’t want to tell your members who is in-network, so you can save money when you deny claims. If I could rate less than 1 star I would. Wake up Regence, Generation X, and Millennials are going to expect better I.T. from a company of your size. Developers of this app need to listen to others and make a search function for current in network providers and create a filter for that search function. You mirrored your app from the website which’s just as useless. Lazy developers if you ask me. App deleted.

Meh
The app is pretty user friendly, which I like. But the main issue that drives me nuts is that if I leave the app (not close it, but just go out and into a different app), then it loses all my progress of my doctor search and I have to start all over. So annoying. It makes it very hard to find a doctor and do research. The other problem is that many doctors are not updated (for example, the app says they are taking new patients, but they actually aren’t).

What a poorly designed app
A medical insurance app? You’re kidding us! Who would download this app? -people who want to find in-network clinics and hospitals. Is there a search function to “sort by in-network” or “show only in-network”? No. Is there an integrated map that shows all providers on map? No. Instead, they just link it to the web mobile format. Why would users download an app if you’re linking everything to your web version? We would just get on website or use browser instead! Please improve. You are big company with crazy huge funding. What the hell have your IT developers been doing?

Great!
I’ve only been with Regence for about 2 months now and I am definitely impressed! The last company o was with us no app and their “mobile” version of their website was horrible to navigate and atrocious to look at. I love that everything is available in the app and if I can’t find it, I can call. SUPERB!

Difficult to use
It took me an hour and a half and two calls to Regence to find out how to use the app and had to redo my account passwords, Then to find out where in the app you submit a bill. The actual submitting of the bill is tedious, especially because apparently your information is not stored for a later date. I will continue to submit my bills by mail even though I am sure that Regence would prefer that I do it electronically

Love the functionality
Alerts on what I need to do next, the ability to submit out of network claims through the app, and outputs of all my financial information to track. I like the features and it “just works” which is exactly what I need.

Just needs little fixes
My biggest complaint is that there isn't a perception coverage tool. If I need to start a new med or see if something is covered and at least an estimated cost I have to ask the pharmacy or just hope the dr tells me what is covered and that's annoying. And if it does have that feature it is difficult to find...

Update needed!
Great app so far my only suggestions would be to update the app so we can use Face ID to log in instead of having to type in our password each time and also have the ability to add our membership cards to our wallet for easy access. Thanks

Find a doctor does not work
What’s the point of a health insurance app that the basic “find a doctor” section does not work at all? It also won’t pull up on the actual website. Last time I called they told me to use the app to find a doctor and now I can’t even access it. It says “vanity-url-proxy” and shows a blank screen every time and it’s New Year’s Day so no one is answering at the office so I’m not sure how I’m supposed to find a pediatricians office that’s open today. This is so frustrating. Fix your find a doctor section!

Mediocre
Needs to be formatted better for an iPad. It runs with a cropped screen meant for a phone. Creates trouble for us ipad users. I don’t find the app easy to navigate. Service is usually pretty prompt but not the best bedside manners in the message center. Service folks on the phone are far better. Covers basic needs but could be so much better.

Electronic signature glitch
Navigating the claims process went well. It tells you which fields are required. But at the end, when it asks for your e signature, the text box is covered up by my on screen keyboard that pops up on my iPhone and hides what I’m typing. I have to press and hold swiping up to view what I typed. When I lift my finger it snaps back down and is hidden again behind the keyboard.

Update messed up back button
Recent update places the back/close button right where the time is on the iPhone X and later is. The placement there makes it impossible to go back or close screens like claims so you have to fully close down the app and restart it to navigate.

Denial of claim
I submitted a Super bill for reimbursement and received a request for additional information dated May 1, 2024. A denial of the claim for failure to provide additional information was issued the next day on May 2, 2024. A claim that should be able to be filed within a year of the appointment is now requiring an appeal within 60 days after allowing 24 hours for a response to for additional information?! That is ridiculous and I’m sure illegal.

Good app
This is a good app, but what would make it great is a graphic update, one that works better with iPhone 11 pros. Also, you only support Touch ID, so I have to put in my password every time . The overall app is wonderful and works exactly the way it is supposed to, and gives the information it’s supposed too. I use it often to view co-pays, benefits, find doctors, and pre-auth services . So it serves its purposes and I WOULD ABSOLUTELY, recommend this app to anybody . It’s because I use this app so regularly that I would like to see the updates mentioned above .

This app makes tracking my health Insurance statistics much easier. And so far I have not experienced any issues with it. I can submit claims through the app without a problem.

Last update has made the app buggy
Ever since the latest update, every time I’m trying to view information in the app I get a pop up that says there was an error loading data and it logs me back out. It makes the app nearly unusable. I never experienced this until the last couple weeks after the app updated. I hope it gets resolved soon.

It’s okay
Pros: Having access to my insurance card and being able to share by email or text. My husband is always misplacing his and it’s very helpful. Cons: My individual/family deductible and out-of-pocket is not accurate and has not synced up to what it shows when I sign on through the internet. Why would this be different? I want to only use the app for convenience. Unable to share EOBS. Even though there is an option for you to share an EOB, you are not going to be able to. At best, all you are sharing is a file name. If this functionality worked it would be great for my flex spending.

Great little app but needs some improvement
Still utilizing the touch to log in, need to update to also allow face recognition since the new iPhones do not use touch anymore. Information needs to be updated as well

Good. Needs Apple Wallet Compatibility
App works and functions well. A nice improvement would be Apple Wallet integration, so you would have to open the application each time to show your insurance card. Finger print sign on would be a nice added feature as well.

Logs out
Every time that my phone locks or I get out of the app, it logs me out. It’s very annoying and frustrating. I’ve been doing things in the app and needed to look at something else, and I have to start all over again. It didn’t let me go back into the my chat either.

I can't do anything!
I can't do anything! I created this account on the app with my New regence card info and it linked to my OLD regence Insurnace info since my last log in and continues to tell me I have no coverage because it's using the idk info. I can't get through to anyone that even understands what's going on and every time I click to email in it takes me to the main page every time.

Riddled with stupid bugs
For a solid month, I wasn't able to login to the app. It would just crash. Now it's telling me my password is incorrect (which it's not, I use a password manager), so I should reset it right? When I go to confirm my new password, it prompts me with a login box and fails to save my password!!! With as much money as this company makes, you think they would test their workflows!

This App is the Worst!
I created my account, which requires an email address. No problem, I entered it. And if memory serves, I had to validate the email address by clicking on an embedded link in an email they sent. Every time I launch the app, i get a pop up telling me that I have to enter my email address, every time. If there impersonal nun human interaction is this bad, I’m not sure I want to call them on the phone.

SLUGGISH!!!
The sluggishness of this app scores it “1”, it takes forever to process information or to boot up. If you have all good information and nice interface, don’t you guys think that when it’s sluggish then its difficult to access what you need in a timely manner, or even access it at all since sometimes due to sluggishness it freezes and crashes and it needs to be restarted...PLEASE FIX.

Constantly crashes, incorrect information
The app keeps logging me out every 5 seconds making it totally useless. When I can see information, it displays inaccurate details about my insurance plan. Regence is abysmal and the app makes their poor service and red tape even worse. They should have their BCBS franchise revoked.

Hard to Navigate
This app is hard to navigate. You aren’t provided a list of what is covered and there’s not an option to see if a specific item is covered. The app will give you error messages saying to “try again later” 24/7 and the customer service isn’t that helpful either (but they are very very nice to you which is fantastic).

Too many glitches
It won’t upload certain images this I wasn’t able to upload a image copy of my bill invoice. And if you scroll through images too quickly it, it gets glitchy and doesn’t stop. Needs work

Doesn’t work. Useless app.
This app will let me sign on. That’s about it. Any other time I try to do something I get a message that says “We’re sorry. We were unable to retrieve your benefits and coverage details. Would you like to try again?” Also the find a doctor function doesn’t work (and it doesn’t work on their website either).

Issues logging in

New version problems
The new version rolled out this year is very buggy. Going to messages prompts you to re-enter your credentials (single sign on, please). Then messages shows nothing even when you had an email notification saying you had a new message.

Useless
I have Regence for medical and dental. Two separate cards. This app will not allow me to have both cards on the same accounts. It defeats the purpose of having an app if I have to have multiple accounts and continuously log in back and forth.

Doesn’t work half the time
This app won’t load your benefits without saying it can’t load the user data. I tried the live chat feature under Contacts to get help... but I could only see someone asking me questions yet... the app doesn’t give the user a way to respond? I call tech support, even the lady on tech support couldn’t not solve it, she even opened up her iPhone and tried and discovered the same issues. She remarked how surprised she was that no one has caught this. This is clearly in beta stage and should not be called a “fully functioning app”.

Can’t even log in
What’s the point of a health insurance user app if you can’t even login? I’ve had the app for a few months now and everytime I’ve attempted to use it for information it never successfully logs me in. Just refers to the tech support number.
