Limited Texting

Texting feature is limited in characters. Not teacher friendly. Parent reminders are usually longer than allowed to send.

So aggravating to sign up for anything on this app

I have had to sign up for CFF using this app for 2 years in a row and it is the most annoying experience. It takes forever to sign up 3 kids bc if you stop, you have to start over. It crashes snd you have to start over. I had to put my CC # in several times and it doesn’t work. Then you have to start from the beginning. I don’t have to use it very much during the year so it’s fine but the sign up process is the worst.

Clunky and awkward

I have been using SchoolSpeak for a number of years. It is difficult to navigate on any of the Apple mobile devices. This is the majority of time I open up this app. The app is slow to load. Trying to navigate is difficult and the screen jumps around on my IPhone XR. This has happened on my previous IPhones as well. The basis for is great and handy but I expected after all these years the numerous bugs would have been resolved.

I am unable to open the app is there a reason why it will not open?

I downloaded it and it won’t open? I have downloaded it on to both of my IPhones and I am unable to open the app. It just shows the title page for a brief second and then it disappears. It is not a storage issue as I just purchased my new personal iPhone and have plenty of space. I have working wifi and data so therefore I’m guessing it is an issue on your side.

Looking at Grades

I don’t like it when I look at my grades and is shows nothing for the day. I think it will be better if there is a list of my recent tests/quizzes.

Started to be unreliable

Not sure if it’s the compatibility of the app and iOS 17 but now I can’t schedule conferences or review some of the other links like volunteer pages. They’re accessible through desktop so I know the school staff has created the correct links. Otherwise, been a happy user for almost a decade now.

iPhone user issue

I’m new to this app and in navigating there should be an easier way to add the schools calendar to sync with iPhone. Also another thing I am noticing it won’t allow for the notifications feature. I have to refer to email vs getting the notification like I do for other apps of interest

Great App

This app is great! However, when looking at absentees you have to search by week. Can this be a year or semester thing? There are certain things that make it hard because you can only view a week at a time. Not just the absent days.

App review

Takes a long time for app to get latest postings on website downloaded to app. Cannot expand text displayed by swiping fingers across screen. App does not give any ringtone notification when something new is posted like gmail does when getting new mail.

Please make an iPad version!

This is a great app. I use it for school (obviously). And I have one suggestion. There should be an iPad Version of Schoolspeak and not just on the phone. Thanks

Like the other version

App was awesome. Mimicked the web version perfectly.. now with the update I can’t find all my kids grades, the school handbook etc... it’s all just current stuff. And once you view it.. it goes away. Go back to the other version please

Wish the app had notifications

The app is fairly easy to use. However, I miss announcements because I forget to check it everyday. It would be very helpful if the app gave notifications when there was a new announcement.

Awesome tool!

Wish I had this available to me when I was a teacher!! Great tool for parents to stay on top of homework with kids!

Good idea, but flawed

We love the idea behind this app, however, it is incredibly difficult to navigate, most of the functions go unused, and grade info randomly disappears. We probably can access it 30% of the time. Time for the developer to go back to the drawing board. Teachers may enter homework and other info more of it was easier to use.

Not fully iOS compatible

With the latest iOS installed there is no longer a way to print anything (homework etc)

Worst App ever.

Have to create a new profile every time I log out. Layout is poor. Navigation poor. My sons school uses this app for nearly all communications & tracking. Without question, if my wife’s account had the same issue we would have changed schools. Even the ability to submit a poor review is met with hurdles on this app.

Great app, but not compatible with iPhone XS

...even though it says it’s compatible, I’ve tried for over a month. Open the app and it immediately closes so I’m using the browser version. Looking forward to an update.

Super clunky

I have had to log in and re log in many times. Even tho I click the remember me option, It will log me out and I have to go through a whole process to get back in, often times having to contact the school administrator to obtain my credentials

Good app, could be great!

Good app but it needs notification badges when new items are posted. Other than that is good.

Pain in the behind

Doesn’t let you paste passwords, so using a secure password is more difficult. When checking pictures, if you select a picture it loses your place so you start back at the beginning after it dumps you out.

Emailing the teacher and hearing back from them

Would like to email the teacher and hear back from them or be able to see their calendar so can schedule a meeting

Newsletters on email

This system is not user friendly on mobile devices because newsletters cannot be read. Make it possible to read the newsletter without having to open the app or use a desktop/laptop to read it through the email.

New user

Learning how to use it as new to school. Requires checking in rather than getting emails. Info there, has potential, just need to check it and create habit of daily check!

Terrible app

Sorry browser is much less frustrating. My users constantly complain about it. No updates either so it will never change. Do yourself a favor and take a pass.

This app is beyond awful

Terrible, slow, clunky user interface, with a poor layout. I wish my child’s school didn’t use this app. Perhaps they will completely rewrite this app one day…I don’t think it can be fixed.

Error Message

I cannot log into my account on the app because I get an error message that says “user does not have any communities” I have submitted 2 tickets and still no response. There is no one on “live chat” to help.

This app is very low budget. The interface is not user friendly. The system is very low budget.

Pretty Good App

Does a good job of showing all the homework, but needs work on spacing because a lot of the homework is squished together.

Unable to download completely

I am unable to download completely in my mobile app every time I open up our Principal’s weekly newsletter. The email link also does not even open directly to the app.

Frustrating

This app does not work. I get to the point of putting my pin in and it says downloading, then the Error - request timed out pops up. I deleted the app re-downloaded it, still the same issue.

This app doesn’t pull info

I thought this would make it easier to keep trCk of my girls school stuff but it isn’t working the way that it should. All communication isn’t pulling into it, not sure what I’m doing wrong.

After the most recent IOS update, the app has worked intermittently, and down for long periods of time.

Are you a user of SchoolSpeak, the complete school management solution? Try out our new iOS App. You will need your SchoolSpeak user id and password to access the App. Using the App you can access the same content available on your SchoolSpeak web portal – announcements, calendar events, homework, grades, report cards, lunch ordering and other features enabled by your school, but in a whole new way. SchoolSpeak App can be used by multiple users on the same device, for example, students can use the App on a parent’s iPhone – each user will login to the App and set up a PIN for quick and easy access.
