So far so good
I’m a hard case - lifelong issues with procrastination. I’m about a week in, and have been able to follow the program. The reminders are huge, keeping me on track with little steps that help. Still digging in to what the underlying issues are, but at least I have an idea how to deal with them more effectively. I need to change and I’m willing to do this - that in itself is a huge deal. I’m ready. But, bottom line, if you don’t work the program you probably won’t succeed. Good luck in your journey.

ZERO Stars for this company for $60 incorrect charge and refusal to refund
This is another tracking app, NOT some breakthrough life-changing solution, by the way. There are lots of apps like this. This company promises solutions to ADHD, has you take a quiz, requires you to give your email before you can see the solutions and pricing, etc. I signed up to try it for $1 for a week entering my payment info for that, then was pushed through a series of upsell screens to buy extra books, etc, then it said “sign up now for 3 months for $60” to which I selected “no” and somehow the system took that as a yes, perhaps the interface’s area to click the NO part is too small. When I check my email that day I saw a notification that I upgraded to pay for 3 months which I did not want as described above. I contacted them immediately. The first agent said they cancelled my subscription going forward and that “please note I was notified about the renewal” which is incorrect since I’d just signed up. I pursued a refund and was told by a second agent that they would refund me partially out of courtesy because they don’t give refunds per their terms and conditions. I will be reporting them to my credit card company.

Not helpful
I’m a mental health professional and thought I would try this app not only for myself but also to refer my clients to. I stopped using it within a couple days because it was overly basic and simply not helpful. I thought I canceled the subscription, took it off my phone, and then six months later I got a surprise international charge on my credit card. I’ve had issues with emails not sending before (I assume it’s an internet connection issue because I’ve even had my husband check sometimes and he sees me hit send), so I reached out to Sensa to cancel and refund that same day. I’ve had to do that with other services in the past and has no problem. Sensa said they won’t be refunding me because I didn’t send an email 48 hours prior to renewal. That seems pretty crappy. So not only is this app not useful, they will find any advantage possible to take extra money. Update, I received a response from the developer who apologized but also said it’s their policy to not refund. Ummm, it’s *your* policy, you can decide to change it. There isn’t some app overlord who tells you that you can’t offer refunds. What a joke.

Walk the walk and give me my money back
I honestly can’t remember anything specific that could be improved about the app, since I didn’t find it helpful and stopped using it quickly after downloading. As a mom of three young children who lives with depression, anxiety, and sensory difficulties, I find it very disheartening and disappointing that an app claiming to want to help people with those issues would not be more up front about their renewal and billing practices. This app did not show up on my Apple subscriptions list, nor did I get any sort of reminder email or other notification that the fee was about to be charged. I have just looked at the reviews of Sensa in the Apple App Store, and it appears that this issue is far from uncommon. In top of all this, my family is currently experiencing some financial difficulty, and being able to receive a refund for this unhelpful app would have made a difference for us right now. I will not be recommending Sensa to my friends or family; in fact I will be actively speaking out against it due to these covert practices.

The 7 day trial has not been accessible even though I paid the fee for trial!!!!
A couple of days ago, I saw the Twitter ad and tried the questionnaire on the website! Ultimately, they offered a plan in which I had to enter my email to receive it! Then to access it, I should have to pay an amount! ( for trial) because I was interested to see the plan, I paid for it and waited for two days to receive the plan! Nothing happened other than getting the confirmation for receiving trial money! 😅 funny, ha? Next thing I tried to log in to the app and saw the plan there! I couldn't! Because I didn't have a password! I never created an account there! So I went to the great account part. Guess what? I should answer another questionnaire! I went along with it and then they asked for my email address. I did that, and a message said you tried this email before! 😂😅 to me, this looks like a beautifully designed scam portal!

SCAM
DO NOT DOWNLOAD/SIGN UP Total scam and false/unethical billing practices. I downloaded the app and noticed highly questionable claims in the program -- this app definitely hasn't helped millions! -- and then went to read reviews. Wish I did it the other way around but was fooled by social media advertising. I promptly requested a refund. Their policies are unethical, requiring screenshots to prove daily usage for a week in order to get money back. The pushback for refund was unreal and flat out wrong. They do not show up in subscriptions. Even the English language is incorrect in policies - it is a total scam. No US presence. These developers must be living large in Lithuania seemingly holding on to card info and continuing billing then refusing refunds by hiding behind shady policies. How is this company allowed in the App Store?! I will be reporting to Apple since they aren't registered with BBB. Hope others do the same.

Stay far away!
Complete ripoff and shouldn’t even be listed in the App Store. They happily take your money and then shortly after the service stops delivering what they promised. As others have mentioned the automatic billing with NO renewal notices is a serious problem that seems designed in a way to take advantage of people with ADHD. In other reviews that they respond to they mention that you just need to send them an email for help. I did and the response I got was basically automated to say sorry but you’re out of luck and we will not help you. I am also going to file a dispute with our State Attorney General to get this foreign owned company on the legal radar and see if I can get some traction that way. So tired of these unregulated App Store companies ripping everyone off and I’m sure I can get them to look at Apple if nothing else.

Auto renewal issues
I cancelled my subscription through the app and confirmed the rough the App Store months before the auto renewal date bc I found this app was not helping me. I then deleted said app off my phone. Fast forward to going through my current July statement and there is the auto renewal charge. I reached out to customer support and explained about already canceling, but they claim it never happened and cannot reverse the charge bc I never reached out in the 48hrs prior to auto-renewal window. Super frustrating! They then tried placating me with the fact I will have access to the app until the end of the year…an app I won’t use use and no longer have or want on my phone. Customer service hiding behind fine print to keep the money. Very disappointed and will not recommend.

ADHDers beware!
This auto subscription does NOT show up on your App Store page of subscriptions so if you’re like me with adhd and you don’t have something written to remind you, you will continue paying for a subscription until you notice it one day on your bills. When you contact the company you’ll be told you have to cancel 48hours before the billing is to take place in order to get a refund so even though I used this all of one maybe 2 days, I’ve ended up paying almost $180 and can’t get my most recent payment refunded. I had JUST checked the subscriptions in my Apple Store and thought I was good. Also no emails to remind me a payment was coming. THIS ONE HIDES! If you join make sure to put a calendar alert on your phone to remind you to cancel if you end up not using it!!!!

Watch out for the auto renewal
I didn’t find this app helpful so I stopped using it after about a week. Like most ADHD people, I didn’t remember to send an email requesting to cancel my membership within 48 hours of auto renewal, 6 months later. The app didn’t show up in my Apple subscriptions, so I wasn’t aware I was still subscribed… but the company still automatically renewed my membership without notification. When I contacted customer service, their response was that it was impossible to sign up by mistake (not what I said) and that they wouldn’t refund me since I didn’t send the cancellation email. This is very disappointing coming from a company that claims to care about people with ADHD, but has a business model that takes advantage of ADHD tendencies. Wouldn’t recommend.

Not Great
I REALLY wanted this to work. Unfortunately every day that I’ve tried it (four days) I have been disappointed. The first thing you’re supposed to do when you log in is track your feelings. It’s so important you must do it before you can see the other content. However, they give you a VERY small list of feelings to choose from. I haven’t seen mine there. Four different days, feeling 4 different things. (I can track that because I’m disappointed. But I can’t track despondent, overwhelmed, vulnerable, withdrawn, insecure, anxious, respected, peaceful, proud, optimistic, Playful, sensitive, hesitant, concerned, suspicious etc) I purchased the 3 month subscription, so if this changes with the 3 months, I’ll come back to update my review. Developers: May I suggest that you look at a feelings wheel and add all options. I would also like to suggest that you allow people to put in their own category. I picked those most of those words off of a feeling wheel. However, despondency was not listed there, neither is concerned. Neither is prayerful. It would be great to add our personal category if we can’t find our feeling on (a more expanded) list.

Really buggy, terrible support
Sensa has some kind of date/time bug where it randomly attributes things I’ve done today as being done tomorrow. This is a big problem because it won’t let you proceed in your plan if you’ve already completed “today”, so when this happens I’m locked out for a full day. In other words, the app I got for procrastination literally forces me to procrastinate. It has other annoying impacts as well, like your activities marked off on the wrong day or mood journals appearing in the future. When I contacted support, they refused to investigate unless I could provide a screenshot. It’s not an issue you can see in a screenshot because it’s relative to the current time.

Scam.
The app itself is pretty much useless in all that it claims to be. I stopped using, cancelled and deleted the app after a few weeks of having it. Then suddenly got a charge from them a year later claiming I had a recurring subscription. Didn’t even remember the darn app, had to google it! I assured them that I didn’t, I haven’t even had this app on my phone in a year and I check my purchases and subscriptions regularly to make sure I’m not paying for anything that I shouldn’t be. Apparently their app is not through the App Store or associated with your Apple ID?!? How does that even work?? They won’t offer refunds even though i know I stopped the subscription and the app has been deleted and unused for a year. And this is a MENTAL HEALTH app?!? Absolute scammers.

An app that is supposed to help takes advantage and steals from you.
Seems I’m not the only person who has been conned and scammed out of money for this app. I do not even remember signing up for it. I did not notice I had previously had two payments taken out or any notification as I have never used the app or it’s content. It’s not even on my phone. I did notice the 3rd payment go out as I am pretty broke right now and don’t have enough money to pay for food and bills. As soon as I seen it I emailed and was told boo hoo tough luck your not getting a refund. Seem like an app that is supposed to help people is just scamming them out of money and even then does not give the right support to people in need. Stay away.

Avoid!
Very dissatisfied! Tried a 7 day, very misleading trial WITHOUT intending to continue. There was nothing free about the trial — they charged me for it! I missed the charge to my credit card for the 7 day trial and the first 6 month fee. It was not until I noticed after the fact and without notice or my authorization that the second 6 month subscription fee was charged to my credit card that I contacted Sensa to reverse the charges, that I had no intention of subscribing in the first place — they refused to refund ANY of these charges. I have now filed a report with PayPal to try and resolve the dispute. I thought they could help me and I decided that they could not within the trial period—they did not. Instead they took advantage of me.

I’ve only been using it for 3 days, but I honestly look forward to using it. I usually wake up anxious, so by being proactive and opening up the app and focusing on the exercises and lessons it really has helped so far. I know a lot of people say it’s “basic information”, but I think simple is great. I already overthink and having it be straight to the point and not an overload of information makes it not overwhelming for me. Clears my head and makes me be more intentional and aware of what I do throughout the day.

Scammers with terrible costumer service
I fell for one of those ads like I always do. I signed up for the free trial, opened the app, realized it was nothing special and completely forgot about it. I got charged for 6 months, I didn’t even realize , whatever. I get charged again for the renewal and this time I do realize. I contact the costumer service explaining that I didn’t know I had this subscription, specially since it does appear on my subscriptions list, that I don’t use the app and that I would like a refund (the same day I was charged). What’s their response? They can’t refund me. That shows the little respect they have for people. I don’t recommend this app and hope karma hits them xo

Limited but Nice for ADHD
Sensa has a nice little program for ADHD. The information is given to you in text format - no videos, no illustrations, etc. If you enjoy multimedia formats, you’ll feel a bit disappointed. It tells you to journal daily but doesn’t provide you an app for that. The program also ends in a month or two - so it’s not something you can use for ongoing support. It is nice to use for a few weeks though.

Useless and seems predatory
UPDATE: Per your comment Sensa- as someone who has studied psychology and has done ACTUAL CBT, reminding someone to journal or meditate or track their mood is not Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is just another tracking app that doesn’t actually provide anything remotely useful and was clearly designed by someone who does not have ADHD. Reminding someone to journal or meditate is completely useless and isn’t going to actually improve someone’s ADHD. They claim they have these unique proven methods of helping people and make you pay before even showing you what they provide. Plus they try to upsell you about $200 before you even see the app is next to empty. Don’t waste your time and money

I struggle to remember to use it each day
I think it starts slowly but probably for a reason. I haven’t yet remembered to go on daily unless I see it on my notifications lol which I set. I have not seen results yet in my organization of thought and activities which is why I committed to 3 months without the free week so I can decide then if it has helped. I have ADD and am easily distracted. Was easier to deal with pre COVID but since have struggled … 🤞

Beware, auto renew does not show up under Apple subscriptions
I thought I would try this out a while ago and even paid the $60 just to give it a try and it wasn’t really very helpful for me. It was all very basic stuff that I already know so I didn’t use it and I went into my Apple subscriptions to try and cancel it but didn’t see it there maybe got sidetracked and then six months later I got billed $60 again and couldn’t figure out how to cancel it. I would highly advise against this app they would not refund my money. I think I have it finally canceled but they do it in a very sneaky way. I paid $120 for basically nothing.

Never used but had to pay $79
I saw an ad for this app on Instagram and clicked on the website to try it. I put my credit card information in and signed up but I actually never even used the app because a message came on email that I had left some thing in my basket, so therefore I assumed that I hadn’t actually been able to successfully sign up. I have contacted them and asked for a refund but they refuse. From reading other reviews it seems that the so-called free trial ends up being tricky and people end up paying more than they ever expected and getting less than they hoped for. Really sad for us ADHD folks.

Do not waste your money
Sensa is not helpful, very boring, and if you have ADHD, just know your money will be wasted because you will most likely get bored, forget about the stupid app, and only remember after seeing that you were charged automatically 6 months later. And considering this an app focused on mental mental health, you would think if you see that a person has not used the app the whole time, and they catch the charge the day of, that you would be understanding and refund them since they weren't even using your program anyway. Thanks Sensa, just another failure to keep up at night😪.

Not easy to cancel/refuses refunds
I was charged for a renewal with no notification or heads up. There is no option inside the app to cancel or view your subscription date, and I had to Google the website just to send an email to customer service. I emailed immediately after being charged and asked them to cancel my account and to please refund me. I am a mom of 4 and need my money back since I don’t use or want the app. They refused since I didn’t request “before they charged it.” Clearly only running the app to make money and not for others mental health/wellbeing. Very disappointed.

NOT for ADHD
I saw an ad that made it seems like the app would solve all my problems, which I was never expecting, and got a short subscription. I really thought I'd learn valuable techniques to help with my ADHD but nope. It goes over ADHD for two weeks and the rest is generic therapy info. Which could be helpful to someone's who's totally unfamiliar with therapy. Just very disappointing to someone who has done therapy, journaling, trackers, read self help books, etc. The mood trackers is fine is you use it consistently. But overall it was a waste of money.

I got this app from a Facebook promotion telling me that if I did it for 28 days that I would receive a free subscription. I did it for 28 days with no free subscription. I reached out to the company and was told that I needed to reach out to them at the end of my 28 days and they would give me no free subscription. This “program” is designed to make them the most money as priority as opposed to helping people help themselves…want to jump to a more relevant section such as emotion regulation techniques? Nope! You must come back day after day while they parcel out irrelevant information to you to keep you paying them all while constantly trying to upsell you on other useless products designed only to make money…grab Bruscella’s book on the cognitive behavioral approach to procrastination—you get everything upfront and pay only once (the price of the book)

Cancelling Dark Patterns
So I was browsing my card transactions and saw one for Sensa. Shocked I went to my Apple account….. but nothing there. I had to reinstall the app (no online login), remember old password, and then find the area to cancel the subscription I didn’t know I had (it’s called “breakage”). Not only did I mistakenly keep canceling the cancel (the “keep subscription” is placed above the fold and easy to mis-tap, which is known as a dark pattern in UX) but they threw up all these barriers to managing my subscription. Felt very disingenuous and quite shady for an app that was quite frankly useless.

Scam/horrible customer service/overstated product
DO NOT PURCHASE. SENSA CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AND THEY WILL CHARGE YOU CONTINUOUSLY AND WON’T WARN YOU ABOUT FUTURE CHARGES , EVEN WHEN YOU CATCH THEM AND IMMEDIATELY ASK FOR A REFUND FOR A PRODUCT YOU’RE NOT USING. PRODUCT ALSO OVERSTATED AND NOT THE MAGIC SOLUTION ADVERTISED. For a service that advertises helping with ADHD, I am amazed they do not provide consumers with a warning that the subscription will auto renew, nor honor requests for full refunds if timely notified of desire to cancel. Don’t make the same mistake I did. These folks are not interested in helping you and are just hoping you miss the subscription charge.

This is yet another one of those apps that comes up with a pricing scheme and payment outside of Apple. You end up paying for a subscription outside of the app so they can avoid apples fees and it won’t show in your active subscriptions. No subscription reminders, etc. The app itself it pretty basic and doesn’t provide much insight anything real. Save your money and move on. The apps ads are very misleading. Basically a tracking app that makes it seem they will have a personalized solution for you. The sign up is set up in a way that keeps trying to get you to commit to upsales and eventually get you on to the high subscription. They won't refund you if the renewal goes through. Even trying to cancel the subscription the ux is filled with dark patterns to make it harder for you to cancel. Or make it seem like you cancelled when you didn't.

The app was completely worthless and after having it for 6 months, it was up for renewal. No notification of renewal was sent allowing for the option to cancel. With so many apps it is difficult to keep track of when things are up for renewal. The majority of apps/businesses notify you via the email on your acct. sensa did not. I asked for a refund after one day and they cited their refund policy saying they can’t. Don’t download this app. It’s like 10 pages worth of basic definitions of procrastination dripped out over a month. And they won’t let you read it ahead of time; you have to come back every day to unlock the next 3 paragraphs in order to advance. If all the info was compiled into a book it might be 10 pages long and sell for $1. Definitely not worth “investing in yourself by buying 3 months of this mental health course”. I bought this app after Health Insider had an article that recommended it. The App is junk. It only lets you unlock one 10-minute activity a day. As a result, you would be forced to subscribe for a minimum of 6 months just to make it through all of the sections. I haven’t learned anything yet that is helpful. Just tons of nonsense to read. Incredibly effective marketing. Too bad their thorough understanding of how it feels to be a procrastinator didn’t mean they knew how to actually help me stop being a procrastinator. The app provides basic information, but offers nothing likely to change behavior. An app for procrastinators full of suggested activities. Now what makes you think the procrastinators will get themselves to do the activities? Did it ever occur to you that this might be a challenge your users face?

This app is expensive for what it offers which is very basic mood tracking and very intro level mental health information. I ended up not using this app much and they charged me to renew. This was understandable as I forgot to cancel my subscription, but I reached out the same day to cancel and ask for a refund. They cancelled my order but refused the refund which was disappointing given the timeliness. You’d think a mental health app would be a little more understanding.

No notice when continued billing
I purchased to try, did not notice they set up as a subscription on PayPal charged another $59 for an app I am not using… watch the subscription they do not notify you it is about to bill … then when you ask for a refund on the day you see the billing say you should have notified us 48 hours in advance…. No, decent customer service would be the subscriber is notified in advance of a billed, just as other companies provide…
