Simply Plural

I have had this app for a year now but only used it to keep track of who all was in our system. After i discovered there’s a chat feature and a way to share with a friend who’s fronting, I have two ideas I’d like the app to implement if it could! 1. I enjoy the chat feature, but wish there was a way to keep the Front as the right side chat icon, and then the rest of the system would filter to the left. Swapping has made it feel more “real” but if that feature could happen, that would make more sense in our head. And 2. I don’t want to make a whole discord server just so our alters had a way to show they were speaking too, so if there was a way to allow friends on the app into the system chat, that would be awesome! That way I don’t have to keep tagging who’s saying what and my friends who aren’t systems aren’t confused as to who’s talking. (Even though Discord and the PluralKit have been extremely beneficial to plurals, I’m on the older side of the internet and don’t want to have to place a bunch of symbols beginning or ending my message in order to have the message say who said it. It’s much easier to click on an icon to say who’s chatting and leave it at that 😅) Otherwise, the app has been great! I’m really thankful to the developers for giving us a safe space to feel alive!

I’m part of a system of nearly 50 members and I’ve been using this app for over six months now. It’s the only thing I’ve found to be useful on keeping tabs on everyone and who’s in my body when I’m not. I’ve been operating as a system consistently for four years and I’ve never learned so much about my folks than with this app. Journaling can’t come close to how easy it is to edit profiles and “clock in”. Cataloging fronts and time gaps has been so helpful and validating. This is the only tool that I’ve been able to actually get anyone to use let alone my stubborn folks. It’s so easy for my fictives that don’t understand our technology and my phone to use and understand as well. Anyway, if there were any suggestions (if you’re looking for that): I would really like the ability to add multiple pictures to a profile, and to be able to swipe through a headmate’s pictures like a dating app profile maybe? (I’m sure that be a lot of work but hear me out) then you could not only make their profile reflect who that person is so much better, but you could also have pictures of what they look like in the body. (I like trying to recognize expressions in my folks and this would make it so much easier— and to see how they dress). Not to mention folks that age slide. I think that’d be important to a lot of systems, I know it would be in ours. Anyway I really love this app thanks so much for making it :)

Been using this for a few days now, and it’s been really helpful for keeping track of things… until the app made me log back in again, to which I discovered the past twenty or so hours of activity had been erased. I had made a ton of changes to our profiles during that time, since we’re still very much so new to this headspace and figuring things out, and it was really disheartening to suddenly lose a ton of information regarding switches and alter descriptions and such. This is especially confusing since the app uses language and iconography that strongly suggests it is constantly saving things so I don’t lose anything. Is that not actually the case? Edit: Upon reopening the app, that seems to have jiggled something along the data pipeline and brought everything back to how it should be. Two stars have been added back to my review to reflect this, but the experience of panicking over the apparent loss of my system’s data was less than pleasant, to say the least, so I can’t give it five stars. That should never be a thing that can happen in a mental health app, especially one with the intended use of helping to keep track of things between shifting mental states.

This app is a great app for us as a system, I love the ability to keep track of who is fronting, pronouns, likes/dislikes and everything else! It has helped us improve and keep track of things nicely as it gets hard to navigate 50+ members names and everything else. It also helps a lot as we do not have discord so therefor we cannot use plural Kit (I think its called that?) It also is great when we need to keep track of our friend systems aswell, it used to be so confusing having to tell each other “Oh yeah __ is fronting now/__ is co-front and might front” and of course them addressing us as a different alters name because it was too difficult to keep track of. I heard about this app through a friend one day and was so happy we would finally be able to keep track of everything!! A few things I would like to help keep track of stuff is: -Ability to add multiple photos on one profile, This would be helpful because for us personally we like to keep track of what alters look like while fronting! And some alters have multiple face claims that they like to use so it can be hard -More space for custom front status, this isn’t a necessity but it would be nice for more description ^^ Right now I cannot think of more things because the app just recently update all of my previous wants, but overall it is a great app!

This app is great, it’s UI is clean, it’s easy to understand, and it makes life a whole lot less stressful being a system. My only complaint is that the app is not convenient enough. Disorders like DID and OSDD cause a lot of memory issues, and convenience is extremely important when dealing with amnesia and memory loss. I just wish the app had widget and apple watch integration. We often end up switching and not realising that the app says someone else is fronting, because whoever just switched in didn’t realise that someone was fronting before them. We use widgets and apple watch integrations for so many important things, scheduling, reminders, medication logging, note keeping, anything that can make the day smoother and the one crucial thing we can’t do that with is logging our switches. Anyways, that’s my only critique of the app, otherwise it’s wonderful.

Last we used this app, it was barely accessible with VoiceOver, Apple's built-in screen reader for those with visual difficulties. Now, after the latest update, it was more accessible. There are things here and there, and I will list them below, but overal, much more pleased now. On the member/front page, the button to select the action for "Add to front", "Set as front", or "No action", simply says "button". The lable for it is gone from last update. Easy enough to remember, but it's there. In the Chat section, when writing messages, the "Send" button isn't really labled. That, or it's more an image. "Possible text, send" is what it says. So close. Again, in Chat section, the button to add who has written a message says "Possible text, person" or it just says "Person", I cannot remember which. Also, in the Chat and message boards sections, when writing with a braille display, it is very slow, and if we try editing with it, it jumbles the words. This one's more of a pressing issue, since we primarily use the display. Those are all I can think of right now, but, again, overal, it is MUCH better than before.

I have lists upon lists upon lists of alters and every single one of them is outdated. I’ve tried keeping journals I’ve tried looking for apps like this before and nothing has worked out. It’s been organized enough internally but externally it’s C H A O S. When I found out about this (through Reddit) I immediately raced over here to download it. When we started inputting our information I realized just how nice of an app this is and how much of a QoL change this will be for all of us. I burst into tears and I’m still crying. I am so genuinely grateful for this. The ability to change primaries/fronting is great, the likes and dislikes, the pronoun option, even being able to select our own colors…. I mean really, sincerely, thank you so much forever and ever and ever.

this app is a wonderful concept but right now there are too many bugs for us to be able to use it. we can’t edit any members. any changes we make are just reverted when we save. you dont seem to be able to assign pictures to members at all right now either. for a few days all our data completely disappeared from the app. i guess it was because they were migrating servers but there was no notice or communication in the app that this was happening. — it doesnt really make sense for an app like this to rely on servers to function. almost all of its functionality would work fine with an app that locally stores its data, and as someone who does programming, trying to structure it this way when it isnt needed probably adds unneeded complexity which can cause more bugs and make them harder to fix. for example, the recent issue where the app could not be used for a few days would not have happened if they had not designed it this way. also it means that all data about members you enter into it is probably stored on the developers server. which im sure some people might not want, since this sort of thing is very private to many people. — this app again is a wonderful idea and the developers should be praised for trying to make an app like this but currently it has a lot of issues that make it unusable for us, even though we would really like to use it.

Overall, the app is amazing for systems. As a member of one myself, it’s been helpful for both us and our host. We can see who fronted at different times and may have important info. We can see everyone’s pronouns (because some of us have several and it’s hard to keep track of ~50 different alter’s pronouns) and names. Some features I would like in the app: - an option for subsystems. Perhaps a profile you can alters to when in the front, or something like a front status? I know in another subsystem they tend to have about 2 alters fronting the subsys at a time when fronting the body, so that feature would be useful. Folders can only do so much -higher text limit in custom front statuses -a general notes section, not under an alter’s profile -better emoji support, for example this emoji ☀️turns in a text version while others do not have this issue, a least when in an alter’s profile name, which is where we have sign-offs. -A journal tab to take notes. Obviously this isn’t fully expected, considering antar and pluralkit have been used for this, however it would be nice to have everything in one app.

This app has honestly been so useful to us that it helps us keep tab on who's fronting, along with voting polls. I also love how your able to integrate your pluralkit system to simplyplural aswell. Honestly it's hard keeping track who fronts due to the fact so many switch without us realizing, so it's nice to have a app that helps us keep tab when this happens. The one thing that me and others in the system wish we could do is send images in the chat feature, would be nice to have others who check chat who front randomly to maybe look at whatever we sent. But that's just a personal suggestion. Either way, 5 stars for me. We don't seem to have any issues with the app itself.

This app is absolutely amazing. It helps us keep track of fronting and the system overall. the poll feature is great for when we need to make decisions, and the chat feature we find is useful for keeping “front logs” or logs of important things that occur when a certain alter is fronting. I LOVE that you can make groups, we find it to be helpful for our friends, especially when it comes to what alters they can and can’t interact with. Also, while on the topic of friends, i think the fact that you can friend people on simplyplural is great, we find it important that our friends know who’s fronting and it gives us comfort to know that they’re notified of this.

Really cool app, but since it’s made for systems it’s missing something very important. Every alter has access to every other alters profiles, in our system that’s a security issue. We want to be able to share fronts with friends, but don’t want to give every alter using the app access to the personal information since we don’t all know each other(it’s a huge system) When you open the app, instead of a pin, it should ask you who you are, followed by a password unique to every alter. That should take me to my “account” and automatically assume I’m fronting till someone else opens their profile. This is so not everyone else can see my likes dislikes age and stuff, and can’t just add themselves to groups I make with only specific alters(someone did that). They also can’t change privacy settings with friends and what I choose to share with others(they should only be able to change theirs). Great idea, but since its for systems it needs separate “accounts” or something. You guys can expand this into something so great!! Thanks, Dexter

As a close friend of a system, this app is nice as it updates me as to who’s fronting, different system members, etc. I really enjoy using it! From the other end of things, it’s also an easy app to navigate when updating fronts for my friend when they forget to update who is fronting, etc. from their phone. I think my only complaint would be the lack of a tutorial for friends using the app? I had to kind of click around in order to navigate myself. Having an example/guide would probably be helpful so that friends of systems navigating the app can see how to view members, information, etc. as well as systems themselves I imagine.

this app is amazing so far! i love how easy it is to edit things and mark things down. we’re really happy about the pk integration, that helped a lot. the ability to add notes is very nice, and the detail you can add to everyone’s profiles is wonderful. however, we haven’t exactly been able to figure out how to log switches, or if we have it seems pretty difficult. if someone could help us out with that that’d be awesome! some things we think could be added - if you guys are looking for that stuff - is written poll options (like you could make a list a things people can pick from instead of only having the yes, no, abstain, veto options). we also think adding an option to make certain alter notes private, and to see groups an alter is in in their profile would be helpful. overall this app is awesome and we’d highly recommend it for people did/osdd. these disorders can be really disorienting and this app could definitely make it easier. thank you developers for putting so much time and effort into this :))

This app has all the bells and whistles besides one thing. A chat area between parts/head mates would be very beneficial. Possibly an area to upload things like photos and videos or a status area for individuals. We’re friends with a handful of systems and we’ve found these are the comments through and through. Besides those, this app is wonderful at tracking our switches and allowing us the area for custom fields has been extremely beneficial. We highly recommend this app to anyone struggling to get their system functional and in order. Will turn to 5 stars if they come out with an update with these features. (:

Heyo! I want to start with saying that this is a great app, however, theres a bug when trying to make/rearrange custom fields. I made a custom field and wanted to move it near the top of the list instead of having it at the bottom. Every time I click the button to rearrange the order, any custom fields I've added disappear. When I try to move the default fields around, they also disappear. Its similar just trying to add a custom field too. Restarting the app shows the added custom fields again, and you can edit them as you see fit until you try to add more or rearrange the order. Please fix ASAP 👍

This app is amazing for our system! We love how we can keep track of things! We have a few suggestions… 1. Instructions on what everything does You just sorta have to poke around to figure out how to add a person or group. 2. Something that says what everything does We don’t know what the “custom front” thing is. And didn’t know what the groups were for. 3. Multiple 👏 Alter 👏 Colors!! We have three alters who use two colors for themselves.. and this app only lets you have one! There should be a second color optional option. 4. Your account color or “system color” can be multiple colors and/or a photo. Our system uses all the alter colors for our “system color”… 5. Easier way to find the alter notes and polls It’s hard for each of us to find the polls to do them. And there’s no way to see if an alter has a note Thank you for making this app! Hello, we had been using this app for a month now. After a little period of not using the app and after the recent update we opened it to update some information, but everything is missing. We had front history and comments, as well as a good amount of us documented but now its like we just started to use the app again. I checked to see if we werent logged in but it even says “Log Out” not sure if this is something you can fix, but we wanted to let you know that this was an issue that happened. Thank you very much for this app otherwise, it’s very helpful for systems who wish to communicate and see who is really around. Best of Luck. -Adam

We’ve been using this app since the moment we could download it on the AppStore because we have a very bad memory, and it’s helped us keep track of a lot. We loved it, it was a lifesaver because we were able to see what was happening and who was around and look back on it later. It was great for seeing who did what events and all that. The little things we needed. But with these last updates it’s all gone. First the app wouldn’t load so we couldn’t log things, but now with this latest update, the app opens but everything is gone. None of our information is there. We lost it all. I’m devastated. Please fix this app. I doubt it’ll get my information back but I want to hold out hope.

Me and my friend (who is also a system) use this mainly to keep track of our headmates. They have a bigger system than us so they find it more practical than we do. Something that we do enjoy is the polls. It’s an easy way to decide something without having to check journals and it gives everyone the chance to vote, as long as they have our phone on them. I also enjoy that it tells your friends who is fronting. This is a good resource for systems but also be sure to have other resources available.

I love this app. It helps us keep track of members and their switches so, so well, and our singlet s/o and a few of our singlet friends have it so they know who's fronting when they talk to us, and even allows for special statuses, which we use to log when we have migraines, when we're non-verbal, or when we're at work, so it helps us find correlation between these events and let people know if there's anything else they need to know. It's wonderful. But after this newest update, suddenly I can't access anything! The screen just says "Setting things up for you" and "Applying Update 76" and sits there. I left it on that screen for over 30 minutes and nothing happened, so I can no longer access the app at all! Some of my friends are having the same issue. Please fix it!

Hey! I just want to say I love this app and the discord integration feature with the bot! It’s great and really helpful !! I just want to ask, though, if the app itself and the discord component can have fixes with emojis and other things? In names or system tags some emojis do not work. We use a number system to keep track of certain types of members with the emojis 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣⏺. We put these numbers into our usernames and on the app this emoji turns into a box with the number coming out of it hitting the left side. It makes it hard to read and it doesn’t look appealing at all. Someone already mentioned this but could there be a widget feature or notification feature as a reminder to ‘clock in’? And in the chat feature to send images! Also could there be an option to sort members on the list feature on the bot?

So into the new update. Well when it wasn’t loading I just didn’t open it because it just wasn’t working and we have no patience. So I was just waiting for the fixed update so I can start using the app again! I have a lot of alters and when I finally updated it- all my alters, friends and history was deleted. I tried logging in and out multiple times as well. We are very upset with this and now we have to redo everything that took us hours to do in the first place. Other then this We really enjoy this app it helps me (the owner of the body) keep track of everything but I’m very stressed now that we have to redo everything.

It helps us as a system a lot, it helps us keep track and make sure info about our system is public. It helps our family and friends understand us too! The only thing I can suggest is the ability to duplicate folders. Especially when doing subsystems, it’s a bit annoying and tedious to have to fill out all the info again. We have polyfragmented so we have ALOT and it would be easier with that. But besides, it’s a very good app. 100% recommend!

it was great when we first got it: polls, easy front tracking, it was easy for us to keep things in line and made decision making better for us. but then today it automatically updated and when i tried to open it up, it had logged us out. i don’t know the login information but i easily could figure it out so that wasn’t an issue. until it wouldn’t let me login normally and it kept making me create an account instead. i got insanely frustrated and just deleted the app. it’s way too buggy and all of our friends have had issues with it too. i won’t be redownloading this and i’m sure the rest of our system won’t either. we’ll find a method that works for us WITHOUT having buggy issues like this.

We all love this app, as it has made tracking front times much easier. After we updated the app last night, however, nothing on it will load. It shows blank screens on every tab, rendering the app useless. Also, every time we go to load the app, it kicks us back to the “Applying update 76” screen. We’ve sat through that screen so many times hoping that the issue will resolve itself, but the issues persist. We love using this app, and hope that these issues will be resolved as soon as possible (Also we have heard from other systems that they are experiencing the same issues.)

This app has been so so helpful for our system, i highly recommend for others. my one request/suggested change is adding the option for photos on the “notes” section of an alter. oftentimes one of us likes to put messages to others or photos for some reason in the notes section for communication purposes, and haven’t been able to because that isn’t an option as of yet. Otherwise, the app is wonderfully made, thank you devs!

Fantastic way to keep track of system members, fronting, system friends and more. It has been a crucial step in our self discovery and healing journey. There are so many great features it would be impossible to fit them all. My only complaint would being about the new message feature they added it, it’s a bit confusing. BUT it integrates with pluralkit so that doesn’t even really matter in the long run. Again, amazing app, a must need for everyone with DID, OSDD, or UDD!

Me and my system have used this app for a few months now without any issues, but since the recent update the app will not load at all. It remains on the loading screen saying “Applying Update 76” I’ve already updated the app so I’m confused on why it’s saying that. And once it finishes loading it doesn’t give me true option to log in, only register (I never log out so that also confuses me.) I initially thought it was my phone, until it did the exact thing on my iPad when I tried. I don’t know if it’s a bug or not, but I’d like it to be fixed soon if that okay :(

I’ve downloaded and redownload Ed this app multiple times on two different phones and it’s simply just not loading past the registration so I can actually sign up and get to what this app provides that I do really need. Idk what’s going on, is the app going through a long update? Is the entire thing glitching? But I’ve had it downloaded for about 12 hours and it’s still on the “registering” screen and won’t go anywhere. I have a lot of hope for this app if it’d actually work but it is getting rather frustrating and I’m considering uninstalling and looking for something else bc it’s ridiculous how long I’ve been waiting for it to register but nothing actually happening.

this is a wonderful app that has helped my family and i, and the system i'm a part of. it helps us all keep track of what is going on. the only thing that knocks it down a star is the glitches. sometimes i have to delete and redownload the app because it won't open! it's also kind of buggy! sometimes it will delete all of our members, but after a few hours they reappear. it's very annoying and worrying, but after the first time it happened we realized it was just a glitch. it also won't allow us to uplod photos. it did in the beginning, but just recently it's started asking if we are connected to wifi, and won't upload the photos. another issue we notices is that when we go to change the times the twitch ended, it takes a while to load or sometimes it just doesn't show up at all and we can't change the time our switch ended. but like i said, other than that, a great app!

Super excited about this app - thank you SO much for making it I know it’s in early access but just wanted to check Bc I’m having a glitch where it logged me out and now I’m eternally stuck in a loop of it trying to make me make a new account but I can’t because I already have one. Deleted and re downloaded and it’s still doing the same :/ Super excited for this overall but would love suggestions on how to fix this glitch ❤️

As a diagnosed DID system, I think this app is extremely helpful and it helps us track who’s fronting as well as letting our fiancée know who’s fronting. We would REALLY like if under the “notes” section for a specific alter you could upload photos! It would be nice to add photos of that alter, things they like, important events for that alter, or things they do that are happy memories or important information. This would be good with a privacy setting that allows you to choose whether only your system or if trusted friends can see the photos. Additionally, it would be helpful if you could make a place for alters to chat with one another. We were originally trying to find an app that lets different alters type in a system chat. If these things are added, I absolutely will change my rating to 5 stars :) thank you!

Love this so much! It's very helpful to keep track of things and we personally think it's easy to use!! However, a complaint and a question! As others have said, it'd be very cool if you could add pictures to member notes! And we wanted to ask if it'd be at all possible to make it so you can move an entire group? Like move a group from the main section into another different group? I'm not sure how to properly explain that but it'd be very nice & helpful, at least for us! Thank you <3

This app has become the control panel for our system, we don’t have much access to the inner world and have issues knowing who is switched when. But having this app helps us switch more easily, because we can do so visually. And it helps us keep track of everyone in the system. We would really like some type of chat feature though where we could instant message each other and switch altar profiles to do so

I've edited this since I originally posted this review but this is a really really good app! It's made life so much easier since tracking stuff in a notebook is pretty impossible due to our system's size. We've used this app since it came out and every time new features are added they're always helpful. Id absolutely recommend this app to any systems looking for ways to track info and fronts more easily.

I love this app, but I forget to use it to keep track of everything. This is why I and I am sure many others would LOVE an option to be able to log and edit switches in Simply Plural from an apple watch! It would make this app even more accessible, as I cant always take my phone out to log a switch or I forget to, having this app on an apple watch I use daily would help that and be a dream come true. Thank you!

the app is amazing! it's helped us so much with communication and we work so much better now as a system because of it! the front history helps us so much to see who was out and when! we love being able to write comments on fronts too! the app is also localized in a few languages, which is really awesome! the app is very accessible and helps us with so much! we love being able to see each others favorite colors and being able to get to know each other better through the app! being able to see my friends, who are also systems, and their members, along with getting notifications when members front is one of my favorite things! groups are also really helpful and help us keep organized! this app is seriously wonderful. ❤️

My name is James and as a host of a system, I would say we use this app all the time! It works really well for us and for our cousin. We friended our cousin here and we can finally keep track on who’s fronting. Also we can see all members to keep up with them. We like to know everyone so if there is someone we don’t recognize from their system, we can check and it’ll usually say who it is.

This is a pretty cool app for us as a baby system, as we did everything via pk, but rely on pics to know who is who. Helps to be able to scroll through the member list and be like, “oh! That’s me!” Only complaint we would have is the learning curve. It was fairly difficult to figure out this app at first, and it would be nice if there was like an in depth tutorial to help (especially with the switch log). (Unless we just skipped right past the tutorial, cause we have done that before) Our only request would be the option to let friends see our notes/polls? Especially for us cause we do like letting our partners see our thought process a lot, and it would be nice to help them see what we’re talking about! Overall, amazing app! Hope it stays strong in the long run!

We really really like this app it’s very easy to use and we like how it visually shows our switches HOWEVER, we’re annoyed because we can’t seem to upload photos in the app without linking a URL anymore which just makes it harder for us to add a new user. It’s annoying as a bigger system who constantly gains members. We really like it! We’re just not sure why that feature to upload avatars got removed.

I’m changing my review again for the last time because all the issues I had have been solved and honestly this app is perfect for systems. I have very few issues with it such as the chat system being a little weird to use and the interface being a little clunky and confusing in some places, but otherwise it’s wonderful.

We like this app a lot so far and thank y’all for making it. We’ve only found a couple problems and theyre super minor. We’re totally vlind and use voiceover and when we try to set a fronting entry it always shows up that they fronted for three hours. We also can’t figure out how to add notes of what was going on at the time we switched. Other than that, this is an amazing app! -Fifteen of Stealth

this app was SUPER amazing, super helpful with tracking fronts and system members... until this new update. i updated the app and then when i opened it up, all of my data was gone and it still is. i can add new alters and such, but the app seems to be having a hard time uploading pictures. adding back my entire system is going to take a really long time, and i'm not at all looking forward to it. are we going to get our data back? when will this be fixed?

We absolutely love this app! It helps us keep track of all our alters and helps us know who has been fronting. There’s almost 30+ alters in our system and the host gets so overwhelmed about how xe haven’t been able to keep track of everyone. With this app it’s easier for xem to keep track of all alters and for alters to just try and keep track of themselves!!!

really great app!! our system is over 500 members and we find it easy to organise & navigate! we use it whenever we can :-) there are a few minor bugs that can be inconvenient, but they're consistently squashed every update, which is often!!! the tie-ins with PluralKit and Discord are really useful, and the way you can group members in nesting folders is a simple but very, VERY wonderful organisational tool. much love to the developer/s !!!

We love this app! It is very neat, and you can put a lot of information on here! I love the notes and the fact that it has a front history (now if we can just remember to use it 😅). My only problem is once I downloaded the update, all of my members disappeared. All that time logging all 34 of us, gone. I hope there will be a fix for this because it’s kind of frustrating to lose all of that.

I love this app a lot! It helps me keep track of my alters and who’s fronting and things like that. My only complaint I have is when I go and try and open the app it bumps me off and I have to restart my phone to be able to get into it. Also,when I try and make a new folder and add a picture for one of my alters it gets stuck :( Please try and fix this if it isn’t too much trouble!!

despite lacking a bit in some tutorial options, this app is very easy to use when you figure it out and very good for system organization. the only big issue we and our friends have been facing is the front notifications. it constantly sends out notifications for other people’s front status, even if it hasn’t changed at all. sometimes it will be 5 all at once, sometimes 20 over the span of an hour. nothing, including custom fronts or custom statuses, changes in between those notifications being sent. it’s really annoying because having front notifications on for friends is so useful but they start to spam for no reason

I don’t even know how to put into words how helpful this app is, it’s a must have. It took a while to get it going for all of us, but I don’t know how we’d live without it now. Our family/friends have loved having it too. They are constantly improving the app too which is really nice and I look forward to the app advancing over time :)
