I have been a client of the Solidcore Community for 2 1/2 years. My daughters encouraged me to attend with them during the first outbreak of Covid. I had been a very active person in the “exercise” community. Admittedly, I am 65 and have been working out for about 45 years. I have done ballet in college along with an Aerobics class for credit. My college required physical education. I then took and taught aerobics. Moved on to “ Step Aerobics”. I studied for my Masters in Health Education and my presentation to the Ob/Gyn program was focused on “safe exercise for the pregnant woman”. My degree is in Nursing. As you can see, I have exercised for the greater part of my life. I turned to Yoga, “ hot yoga “ and fell in love. With the pandemic of Covid, the world “closed”. Something at the age of 63, I had never experienced. As a nurse, I had never experienced such a crisis in health care. My daughters, twins, my second pregnancy, turned me on to Solidcore. I think of my first classes at the East Liberty location with Matthew, Denise, Allison, and Cameron - I smile. I’ll never forget when Allison said, “when the song ends, let go!” We had so much fun! I love Solidcore and it’s philosophy. At this point, all 3 of my daughters are clients of Solidcore. We very frequently go together! Just a note to say, “Thank you!”
Please spend money on a proper website. This website is impossible to use! I downloaded the app because I thought maybe it will resolve my problem. But NO, still the same. My bank card suddenly disappeared from my account and both website & app suggested to update it. I tried it at least 10 times already. From my phone using browser, using the app. From my laptop too. The button update simply doesn’t work. I fill out my info (checked many time it’s all right) and nothing happens. What is worse is that I go to the Account and link my card there manually. Click save, looks like it was saved. I go back to booking a class and it again shows the same not working window that requires me to update my card!! I’m just a client and all I want is to book a class. How many customers are supposed to write this to you??? Please hire a professional web designer! I took a look on reviews and there are many people struggling! It’s such a shame for big studios like yours to have a website & app that were done on a knee by a first grader!
Love Solidocre and the app however couple of thoughts - when we have to update can you provide a link from the app marketing page “click here to update” and deep link me to the app to update AND consider an app dev approach that doesn’t require app updates for simple content changes.
Need better development and strategy for the app. @ Shane McCarthy & Stephen Kae do you guys not talk? The sync time is garbage - like is your api from 2001? Badges program is such an after thought, why even have it if you can’t make a consistent, engaging, shareable, content producing program? - Graphics are lazy. Like I’m embarrassed to even post them on social. - the sync on earning the badge vs completing the class is so slow, the moment has literally passed by the time you get the badge lol talk about time under tension amirite? Week streak Milestones end at 1 year, 🙄 Naming convention on the classes, idk what consulting company said this was a good idea but clearly they’ve never taken a class before, anywhere? It’s so confusing and requires so much reading whereas in the past it was quick to understand what you were signing up for. Also PLEASE bring back muscle focus on the calendar entries, + star on the automation of adding them to my calendar though. All this to say, app needs improvement. Even under this rebrand y’all are working on. It’s sloppy from a consumer POV.
This is one of the glitchiest, most poorly made apps I think I’ve ever used. Every tab there’s another glitch. My account tab never shows my active packages so I never know how many classes I have left. (Yes, I can do basic math it’s just annoying to keep track of when I’m actively booking). Sometimes the app just stays stuck on the black solidcore page and never loads. It’s always “unable to show class count” when I add filters. Then “unable to show classes” when I do finally get to the calendar. The website isn’t much better. As someone who spends hundreds of dollars at solidcore per month (and no many others who do as well) the least they could give us is a platform to easily book classes.
Pros: -you can book and cancel on the app -your class # shows up right when you log in, which is very encouraging Cons: -you don’t get notified that you’re cancelling within the 10-hour timeframe OR that it’s been less than 30 days since your last free late cancel (for the unlimited package) -no way to see how many classes are left in your monthly package (for the 4/8/12 session packages). The studio literally told me I needed to keep track by counting the classes in the app. Ummm ok OTF has it figured out, so it can’t be but so hard. -you can’t see what # you are on the waitlist until you join the waitlist, close out the app, and restart it -no way to contact the studio directly from the app -took away the rewards program-probably because no one was using it-so instead of improving it, they dropped it altogether -badges don’t make any sense and are not tied to any real motivation TL;DR it’s a decent basic app, but for the amount we pay they should be able to afford a more effective app.
App is extremely slow to load. Id rather use a third party app to search for classes than the native Solidcore app. It takes me at least 5 mins to book a class because it takes 30 secs just load each day. And when you swap days, it only shows you the classes after your PRESENT timezone. You’d then need to spend another 30 secs to reload the page. Adding and removing filters takes minutes as well. With no clear visibility of how many people are in the waitlist during the booking flow, I’d have to remove myself after seeing that I’m on waitlist #6 (for example). Imagine how much time is that.
The app has room for improvement. How is it that I am not able to see how many classes I have remaining in my class package? (I.e. you have 4 left in your billing cycle, which resets on Xx date). Additionally, I should be notified I was taken off the waitlist for a class or that I have class in an hour. Lastly, as a member, I wish I was notified about when class bookings opened up for the next month. It’s frustrating to reach out to my local studio to ask these questions often.
Classes aside (which are the best, and the classes I’ve taken most consistently ever), the app is great. Whether I’m hooking in advance or last minute, it’s only a few taps and I’m tapped in. I love the app, the feedback it requests after a class is completed, and the unobtrusive notifications
The app has overall been getting better but the notifications are less than useless. If you want to get notified of when you have a class coming up etc, they make you also receive an endless stream of inane motivational spam.
I love solidcore, I love the coaches. It’s the best workout out there. The only reason they I don’t give 5 stars is because for the price you pay, your classes bought should not expire. I’ve had to travel for work and have not been able to get to class and my classes have expired. Going forward I will buy them individually even though it’s 40 bucks a pop.
I hate this app and it’s annoying the ratings are so high because this should be about the app. I rate them 10/10 for workout etc have been with SolidCore over a year now but this app is trash. It glitches all the time and because SolidCore has become so popular management is less forgiving on missed classes due to booking mistakes from the app. So frustrating. Just want to book my classes is all nothing fancy!
The best class I have ever been , builds your core strength , physical strength, understanding the body strength, excellent communication skills of the coaches .okay important this will strengthen your heart, mind and help your inner peace and mental challenges we face in our day to day life . Thank you Solidcore for your incredible program .
Solidcore is great! App is slow and non-responsive
I LOVE solidcore classes but booking them on the app is a pain. The app doesn’t refresh quickly to update days/times of offered classes, is often totally non-responsive when clicking between the home page and the booking page, and takes sometimes well over a minute of the little spinning wheel to show new information.
I’ve gone to solidcore for years, have done over 200 classes. I’ve loved the app until the specific muscle group focus was removed from the app. Now I have to go on the website to check the schedule and see what I’m signing up for. Very frustrating. Bring back the old version
The app never shows active classes if I take a class that is not at my home studio. I have the 12-class pass and if I get out of a class and try to rebook, I need to wait 24 hours until it is updated to reflect that I have available classes. In NYC the classes are always full so I miss out in prime time slots. I’ve emailed IT about it and they were no help. Terrible app. Please improve, especially for the amount that I pay for a membership….
The app has worked well for me for ~18 mo now but requesting the following improvements (1) show how many classes are available “in the bank” to book for the current month / cycle (2) show how many people are on the waitlist BEFORE having to enter the waitlist - this will tell me which class I have a higher chance of entering and help capacity for your studios (3) require an extra “checkbox” for client to understand if they are inside the cancelation window for a penalty/fee. At least give a warning in red text. Thank you
I’m a new client and got refer by a friend, and was excited to start. When I book a class the app said I need to update my billing info, after 1hr of keep putting my info repeatedly like a mad person I still can not update my billing info. I decided to delete and start all over again, then when I sign up again the “gender” isn’t even possible for me to click so I got stuck. Buggy and annoying app, can’t even start.
this is not a review for the solidcore workout, which I love. The app itself is so sluggish and takes several minutes to load every time i want to make a change. Opening it has crashed my phone several times. the UI is good in theory but please invest money in making this app work. It turns an otherwise amazing workout into a pulling-my-hair-out experience
This app is full of glitches, there’s always something new broken after each update. I’ve often unable to book classes even though I have no credits left, or it lets me book classes after my credits have been exhausted. It doesn’t show my active packages, and after its latest update, doesn’t even all me to add booked classes to my calendar anymore. Please invest in your user experience.
I love Solidcore so this review is not about the class. The app is the slowest and least functioning I have on my phone. It takes an excessive amount of time to load classes and if you switch days, the previous day’s times still show so you have to refresh and wait again. Very easy to book an incorrect day because of the lag. Please upgrade your app. It is very frustrating booking classes.
Love the classes and how I’m getting so much stronger with each class but the app is TERRIBLE. If I cancel a class, the credit never returns back to me until more than 6 hours later. For classes I’m paying so much for, you’d think they would at least have a working app. I use other studios and it never seems to be a problem on their app. It’s ONLY the Solidcore app. It’s just BASIC service that needs to be provided
The app won’t load at all (yes, the app is up to date and yes, my phone is up to date). Same thing with the website too, actually, and I’ve tried multiple browsers. So basically, I’m paying for a membership that I can’t even use because Solidcore doesn’t have a single working platform that I can use to view and book available classes. Would NOT recommend at all.
I love solidcore so much, one of the best workouts I’ve ever done. This app is absolutely horrible. If it worked, it would be 5 stars for how many great features should be available. But it shouldn’t take me multiple minutes of loading on every screen to book a class, access my membership information, or do literally anything else. Every update seems to make it worse. Please fix it!!!
In the latest update, the muscle focus has been moved to a banner at the top of the day. I understand doing this to avoid too much repetition in the class titles, but now I can’t quickly see the body focus for the classes I have booked. Would love the body focus to be added in my upcoming classes.
I’ve been a client for a little over 2 years and there have always been issues. As a someone who works in IT solidcore needs to do better with their app. The app shouldn’t crash monthly when everyone is trying to book classes for the new schedule drop. They keep bumping up membership prices but not including the quality of membership for clients.
[solidcore] is the best workout ever and the app makes it so easy to see the schedule, discover the focus of a particular class, find your favorite coaches and book your classes.
The app and website are constantly deleting my billing info. And when I try to update it, the info doesn’t save. Super frustrating, especially when booking a travel class that should cost $0 with my membership anyway but won’t go through without the billing info. Even when I try to add it during the purchase, it doesn’t work.
I have signed up for a few $15 classes and I only just now noticed the $15 purchase option. Those three classes were taken out of my class pack. I lost ~$45 unnecessarily. When signing up for the $15 classes there should be a prompt to purchase a $15 option or if we want to use it as a part of the class pack.
It takes very long time to grab the class. It takes average 4-5 second to load the data, sometimes it takes even longer. Not sure how it gets stuff from the database but this should be faster and can be handled better. Maybe a better db design or load balancer.
I LOVE Solidcore, I’ve taken 3 classes a week for the last 3 years. I find studios every time I travel. However, the app is so awful to work with. Every time you try to switch screens within the app it takes multiple seconds to load. Signing up for classes takes multiple minutes. Please please please fix this!!!!!!
I LOVE the Solidcore workout but wow, the app is really terrible!!! It takes absolutely forever to load anything. It is SO slow that I usually get frustrated and go to my computer to book a class. I really wish they would make the app better and less glitchy.
This app is so bad that it has me questioning my membership. More often than not, you’re stuck with a spinning wheel and the schedule never even loads. Booking one class is a ten minute process where I have to close and reopen the app at least five times. This needs to be fixed or I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I started solidcore in 2017, and the app has always been terrible. Who are these people that like the app? It’s slow and clunky, and if you have a more expensive credit and try to book a cheaper class, it just eats your more $ credit instead of offering to let you purchase a cheaper one. Get it together, solidcore.
For the amount of money these classes cost you’d think they’d invest a little of it in an app that is easy to use. The interface is clunky, it takes forever to load the filters and when it loads at all. Lame. I’d just delete it if there was a way to book multiple studios on the website.
In the past the Solidcore app used to add the classes to my calendar with having “add only” access. Now it requires full calendar access “read and write” to add events. Please change back!
The website does not have all the capabilities and you need to download the app. However, then o thought the App might be better but nope. It froze right after I downloaded it. No button works. I am not going to waste my money and time on a platform who doesn’t pay attention to UI.
The Solidcore program is life changing. Having suffered with hip pain for 20 years, taking a Solidcore session is a game changer. I can walk, ride, ski without pain. Thanks!

SolidCore is my favorite workout & I absolutely adore the coaches, environment, & the workout. Only wish the app was less glitchy- needs some serious bug fixes!!
I LOVE [solidcore] and it’s staff and classes but the mobile app is the absolute worst app amongst all fitness class apps I’ve used - Barry’s, OrangeTheory, Rumble, VIDA, etc. There are always delays and glitches, causing booking errors and confusion. There’s no reason their mobile app shouldn’t meet the level of excellence offered by its studios and instructors.
I am a big fan of solidcore but this app is so glitchy! I was unable to purchase a healthcare worker discount class pack a few weeks ago, and now I am trying to book a class and it won’t let me. So annoying ☹️
