I have been blindly using this app and now I wonder if I could have thrown out tickets that hadn’t for drawings that hadn’t happened yet. This morning (Oct 22) I was scanning tickets I bought for several different lotto games and they were all “Not a winner” according to this app so I pitched the tickets into my garbage. My spouse then said something about the draw dates and I pulled the tickets back out and found that the MegaMillions draw date is actually Oct 24…. It hasn’t happened yet!! I do not trust this app at all now!!

I’ve posted a review pertaining to the updated app along with the SD lottery in general BUT for some reason it’s not visible. This will be my third time posting a review. Maybe this time folks will actually get to read it!! To the point the app needs some improvements and I honestly believe since my last review a month ago they have made a few. Great job guys!! Everything and everyone can always make room for improvement (including myself) therefore I’m rather happy with the app itself as of now. The second chance drawings/prizes on the other hand are complete trash!!! Don’t believe me check out a few other states that also do Second Chance with scratch off tickets. I promise you will be so disappointed in our state of South Dakota. I know second chance is something that doesn’t have to be offered to ticket “losers”/customers BUT to see states such as Minnesota or Mississippi do second chance drawings for each and every kind of scratch off they sell (right after the scratch game ends) multiple times a month they are drawing triple times the winners SD does. The prizes for said drawings aren’t for $300 nor are they for $100 in scratch tickets…they actually give prizes to drawing winners that are pretty fricking awesome. Big cash prizes! Enough to take the day off work, fill your gas tank up and treat yourself to something nice!! Do better in this area SD Lottery please. Maybe this won’t be deleted or hidden rather!

Anytime I want to scan a few losing tickets to the second chance drawings, I am forced to close the app and reopen for each ticket. It will say the ticket was successfully submitted but I can’t close the pop up message. Makes me wonder if the app is actually submitting them properly since I shouldn’t have to reopen it to submit a ticket every time.

Camera doesn't work anymore every time I try to scan tickets to check winner/not winner and for play it again. I uninstalled and installed app, keep updated, tickets flat, barcode clear of scratch off material, try flash on-flash off, lens clear, change distance of tickets. Should bring back manual entry for scratch tickets. To no avail the red line just keeps blinking No barcode captured. :(

Everytime I scan the barcode on the back of the ti key to double check if it’s a winner or loser, it just brings up a blank gray screen that does nothing. If you try to add the number manually it says that scat h codes are not accepted and to use the scannner… but again…. Scanning just opens a blank gray screen.

The older version of this app was much better. With this new app you are unable to scan your tickets, therefore you have to type in very long numbers just to check your tickets. Usually the new apps are upgrades but in this case you failed miserably and downgraded the app.

I should have read the reviews before downloading! Your scanner does not work. I get to the game I want to choose and nothing comes up. Fix it and you’ll start having better reviews!!

One would think they could make an app that could actually work properly to scan tickets as much money as they take in from selling them.

Cannot scan lotto ticket keeps saying wrong number, invalid number. Had to create a new account because it didn’t recognize my sign in. Old app was better

After the last update the scanner no longer works. I have deleted, and reinstalled. It’s just garbage

This is awful ! Scanner won’t scan half the time. Can’t enter getting sick of this. Please improve this site !julkc

Every single review is literally telling you the ticket scanner is NOT working so STOP telling every person they’re doing it wrong and fix you’re sad excuse of an app PleAsE you iDioTs

Why can’t we buy our power ball or mega millions online. It’s 2023 for Christ sakes. We keep going backwards as a state.

Doesn’t scan Lottery tickets or scratch tickets. Always “Oh No something went wrong 😡

App will not scan using an iPhone. The camera will not focus on bar code.

The old app,was much,much easier.
