Subscription problems with prompting to pay for issue even though your subscription is active. At times like today new magazine isn’t available all other weekly magazines do not have this problem. Will let subscription run out and will not renew. I second this persons opinion. Last update doesn’t allow you to get new magazines. Will never buy this magazine
The reason I’m trying the app is because stores are increasingly not being updated with current issues. I travel a good bit and it’s not a local thing, it’s everywhere. I thought my rabbit chase would end going digital, but the app version is also lagging behind. Not just Star, but all the tabloids take turns on being out of date-on store shelves and digital. I don’t know of it’s Corona related or what.
The issues stopped loading 3 weeks ago so I downloaded the new version and even worse. The app will not open. How will I ever find out if Brad and Jen ever get together again? 😩
App crashing stopped working after years of subscribing
I have the same issue many of your reviews at the APP STORE mention which is the app stopped launching and crashes before a spin wheel even shows up since September. I’ve been a digital subscriber now for years and this only happened last month. What is going on?
The app developer doesn’t have a clue to how to produce an app without glitches. App always crashes and needs to be reinstalled. Now even with doing that it doesn’t work right. They ought to pay us for the wasted time.
I haven't been able to open the app in weeks. It's too bad because I liked the magazine. Not sure how to go about getting assistance fixing the app so I ended up cancelling it after weeks of it not working.
All the App does is show a red screen with Star on it. There is nowhere to touch or click to get to magazines. I have had to delete app and reload app several times. If it does work, it’s temporary.
This app worked fine for me for a long time, but the last several weeks, I have had to delete it and re-install it EVERY TIME I wanted to open it. Please fix this!
I'm a current Star subscriber through the app. Even the app calls me a "current subscriber." But all of a sudden, I can't download any issues; they app is asking me to pay $4.99 to do that! Did I mention that I'm a "current subscriber"? I can't reach anyone about this, and the app gives no other information about my account. My emails have gone unanswered. When I try to call, no one actually answers the phone. Next step: calling the corporate office of the parent company. Right now the only good thing I can say about this app is that you can read the magazine in landscape mode.
It's great that I can now read the magazine, tweets and daily web content all from one single app. I LOVE how I can just select anything using my fingers and share it with my friends and even pin things on Pinterest. Wish all my mags could do that.
I love reading Star in print so I figured I’d try the app. The issues download fast as soon as they are released, and I really like the thing where you can share anything on the screen. Easy to share to Pinterest.
I can't read the magazine. It won't show that I have a subscription. It says my purchases are unlocked but it keeps showing that I have to buy the issues. I've deleted and reinstalled 3 times already. I'm very upset with the update.
Do NOT buy a subscription. Each week is a nightmare dealing with technical support, who acts as if YOU are doing something wrong. Since IOS 7, the product has not once acted right. Whoever designed this app should be ashamed of themselves. ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS
