Needs improvement on gps tech

Avid marathoner/Ironman athlete got this to build community & make a little $. Never have issues with maps,gps on iPhone,iwatch, garmin computer but this has questionable gps & needs improvement. Maybe integrate snap to road tech or something cause it made a diagonal line on some of my runs instead of actually tracking… showed a 0.6km on a 1.5trial first run… and on my last run showed only 6km on a 6.5km run

Best web3 app currently available!

Love this app so much. Super motivating to get out, go exploring and keep stepn. I’ve been exploring areas all over town that I didn’t know were out there and all around my house. I’m very safe about it but have even started going out at night a bit when energies refill. Such an awesome experience, whole different world at night and I would have NEVER gone walking at 9:30 pm before stepn. Now I wake up, make coffee, put on my shoes and go for an incredible walk every morning to start my day. Then plan on what I’ll do with my GST I earn. Should I cash a little out? Upgrade the shoe level? Maybe try to mint a lvl 2 gem? Open some mystery boxes? It’s a great app with an incredible amount of potential. Only thing missing at the moment is a burn mechanism for shoes. If they successfully implement that and a rental system in the future this app could absolutely skyrocket in value both tangible and financially. LOVE STEPN!!

It’s really fun and addicting!!

A lot of people might be scared of spending $700+ on a shoe I was also skeptical but you’ll see why it’s worth it. After learning how the app works and learning how to upgrade it you can make a lot of money each day and earn your money back. It might take a months or two to earn your money back but after that your set to earn profit. Right now I’m learn in between $40-$45. I’m at level 11 with my shoe and the highest is 28, and in each upgrade you get points to upgrade whatever you like. If you upgrade in efficiency you will earn more money. So $40-45 is just the beginning I might be making $100+ once I max out my shoe. Anyway get yourself a shoe!! It’s a great way to start working out

I don’t usually take time to write reviews

Like I said, I don’t normally waste my time to write reviews on products or projects I have purchased. But I would be doing the world a disservice to not mention my experience with this app and it’s management. If you are planning on spending your HARD EARNED MONEY here, please avoid. I tried giving this team the benefit of the doubt for months. Hoping to come close to earning my money back, that’s all. However, all of the changes made to this app are to benefit the original owners and the people higher up within the project. An absolute disgrace. I would love to meet face to face with some of the people who support this app but they are all cowards. The app was originally created as a move to earn and now they ponzi it off as a lifestyle community. Such a shame. Save yourself the trouble, sit back, and watch this project continue to spiral down this nightmare of a rabbit hole. Peace

Great app pushing me going outside everyday!

I was lazy going out for exercises especially after the pandamic I can wfh I stay inside my room everyday. This app motivated me so much. I am jogging outside everyday for half a month. It is great. While I bought shoes with super high prices, which is bad, I am happy to see the update is still focusing on a better game env to optimize the anti-cheating system, rather than having fancy features to urge the market. It is normal a crypto project goes up and down sharply. If you are new to the market, prepare to lose all your money or to earn 10x 100x times. Anything could happen. For this app, at least we got a good exercise habit. I would say it is really worthy.

NOT worth it

All my earnings go back into my NFT shoe so you end up not earning anything. When I first started it looked like I could earn my money back in about 6 months even with some of the changes… but now it looks impossible because I just keep having to pay more and pay for my shoe - to level it, to repair it, etc. it’s kind of pointless. I wish I had never gotten involved in the first place. Since I already exercise and get lots of walking in I thought it would be fun to be able to earn some $ while I do it… but I have earned $0 after 4 months of trying. The gps doesn’t work everywhere if you are camping places without strong signal so then you end up not getting any points those days and you just waste your energy until you get back to civilization…. Which is ridiculous since I usually walk more and get more exercise on days I’m camping!

Better than Uber or any side job ever

This is so worth getting into. With a small investment of 2 shoes you can walk to earn enough to mint a 3rd shoe within 20 days. Once you have 3 shoes you are earning good money for 20 minutes of walking, jogging or running. You are gaining money to do exercise which is a win/win. Once you have 3 shoes you will earn enough money to mint a 4th shoe in 10 days. You can then share that shoe with a family member. Once you both have 3 shoes each you are gaining about $2000 a month at current GST prices. It is an amazing project. Just love it. Worth the initial investment… Best way to have your own little business and also get into good shape…

Lacks basic features as a running app

This app lacks basic features like integration with Apple Watch to show calories burn, heart rate etc, it does not show you pace, per-mile splits, cadence, vertical elevation. The pace heat map is inaccurate and does not allow zoom in to examine the route and pace. It only has bare-bone basics - total time and total mileage, very weak. What it lacks in running features, it overcompensates with very complex nft gameplay. This sneaker business is just too complex to understand and does little to encourage running. Social features (lead or board or head-to-head competition) are nonexistent. So - don’t call this a running app. It’s NFT based game first, where you can also run, not the other way around. Sad, this has plenty of potential if the app was focused on running.

BEST Running App!

By far, the most fun running app I’ve used. Gamification of fitness is the future. This game motivates people to get out and exercise. The aspects of gambling make it addictive. Don’t believe the naysayers. I’d bet the people who are dissatisfied with this app still live in their mom’s basement. They probably quit there jobs flipping burgers so their full time job could be move to earn. Thought they’d be crypto millionaires within a month but ended up losing a few $. Don’t invest more than you can afford to lose and have FUN playing the game. I can now run 6-7 miles a day and it’s EASY. And my wife loves my six pack. Six pack = winning

Best User Experience with NFT and Play to Earn Yet!

Plain and simple I really enjoy using this app. It’s relatively simple, you don’t need to be a crypto expert to understand the mechanics of the app. There is a bit of a barrier to entry with having to buy the NFT, however I consider it an investment and as of right now it’s paying off very well. I think this is what sets it apart from other play to earn apps right now. Simplicity and rewards that reflect the initial investment proportionally. This is the only app I’ve recommended to friends and family so far. I would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in getting their feet wet in this space.

This is the Future

Been using the app for a couple of weeks. Once i figured out the logistics and how to optimize my gst earnings I am Hooked!! I feel like as soon as people realize this is real and how much you can earn doing this,this app is going to blow up. I run daily as it is and for a 20 minute run with 3 pairs of sneakers i am earning around 15-20 gst a run. If you look at the current price of gst you will understand that this is amazing. Even if they nerfed the earnings i would still use this app as i run all of the time anyway so any sort of incentive/earnings are just icing on the cake.

Predatory Pyramid Scheme

I write this review as someone who has never reviewed an app on the AppStore, but feel an obligation to warn new users of my horrible experience. Initially I love the application and the Team’s commitment to promoting wellness and a healthy community. In the last few months, that sentiment has changed drastically. There is an obsession with iteration and growth, identify at the cost of retention and transparency. The Dev Team actively silences users that have subpar experiences or report concerns about new developments. Most of all, there is absolutely no support and you assets are constantly at risk of scamming, phishing, and other threats. I implore you to AVOID THIS APP at all costs. There are countless other alternatives and safer communities to join.

Amazingly fun Pokémon go meets Fitbit meets crypto!

My wife and I have been playing on this app since February 8, 2022, we absolutely love the game of Acacian and the move to earn idea. Earning cryptocurrency well walking is a great idea and it definitely motivates us to get out and move more! Best of all, we’ve been able to get back everything we invested in the app and a lot more! Can’t believe we’re up over $20,000 in less than two months! Highly recommended!

Better than gym membership

Even if GST goes to 0 and my shoes turn out worthless, no one can take away my fitness gains! I haven’t had a solid workout routine in years, and thanks to this app, not only do I get to exercise, so does my mom! Which should, in turn, make her live longer. Thanks StepN!! P.S if you can’t pay the high capital now, wait for rentals in September, should lower the buy in by alot and everyone can start StepN!

Complicated and costly

Really seems like a scam coming from an advanced user who has been in crypto since 2020 this app is not worth the time. You will be spending a couple hundred dollars just setting up your account and the cost of operating the app outweighs the small reward you received. You have to refill energy pay to level up buy SPARKS and two other coins $GST and $STEPN that’s after you buy an NFT that will cost you about as much as a pair of real sneakers. Download Sweat Wallet instead A way better walk to earn crypto platform been using them for years without having to pay for anything earning $SWEAT daily

STEPN EXPERIENCE OVER MONTH

I’ve been using Stepn for over month and really like the idea of it and interface. It very easy to use and I wish creators make it more friendly for user communicate within the app. I THINK IT WOILD HAVE HUGE INPACT AND POTENTIAL IF THEY CREATE FEATURES WHERE PEOPLE CAN COLLABORATE JOIN RUNNING EVENTS, SOMETHING SO PEOPLE STAY COMPETING WITH EACH OTHER. Also there should be option to customize your sneaker, colors and the shape. You should give user more options.

The truth

People watched their favorite crypto YouTuber who said they could make $200 a day, didn’t do any research. Read the whitepaper, understand what is important and decide if it’s something you’d want to be part of. If you are shocked because of the price drop, then you had unreal expectations and bought in based off hype.

THIS IS A SCAM, AVOID AT ALL COSTS NO MATTER HOW CHEAP THINGS MAY SEEM

This project gets worse by the week. They make very drastic changes and continually try to find ways to prevent ROI. The development team does not take into account opinions of the community. You can’t even build a strategy with how often they make unannounced changes. Prices have dropped 95% in the last two months even when it was initially looking good in the bear market. The Devs manipulated the price of GST (the reward token) because “people should only make enough for a cup of coffee”…meanwhile the team has made over 300M in less than a year

It’s not even fun

The energy runs out very quickly, oh man, this stupid energy, I did not know that shoes also have energy 😂. The app has no motivation to be more active, it does not give us any incentive to walk or run more, it does not matter if you are better than yesterday. It does not check your activity chart or give you any tips to make you better than before. You will hardly be able to get back the money you invested, let alone get a positive yield. And your shoes will break down quickly, even faster than Indian slippers. Quite silly designed.

It’s not worth it

It’s not worth it because in order to start earning you have to buy a stupid NFT shoe and it is outrageously expensive I can’t afford to buy it and in order to buy it to begin with you have to buy it in crypto so at this point it’s not worth it for me even after signing up for it which by the way is not easy and only the the rich would have the money to use this app and I don’t know about you but I’m not spending $1300 just to buy an NFT just to start earning I’m also pretty sure that this is a pyramid scheme based off of what I have seen

$100/day in America for jogging

I love STEPN I have been with them as an early beta tester since October. The app is so smooth and easy to use, even for non crypto people. I have the Jogger NFT which I use everyday for 30 minutes. Cash out after each run, anywhere from $80-$110/day at the moment. Excited for the free rentals for newcomers.

Best move to earn i have used, great UI, devs work on issues and listen to the community. Continue to implement great features and balance the game. The ROI can take longer because of the current market but totally worth it. Another great project is walkwithstep.

Great project

The people complaining it’s a Ponzi scheme are the ones that can’t afford to buy the shoes. This is investing not welfare…. I’m making $1000 a week from jogging 20 mins. I invested around $3,000 into to this project and have already made my return in 4 weeks. Great project huge upside potential.

Their in-game coin GST used to pay players has dropped more than 90% in one week on the Binance Smart Chain, and their Solona GST has dropped significantly. Shoe value has also dropped significantly. Some bought shoes for around $10,000 on binance and now those shoes, only weeks later, is worth less than $500. absolute scam. They have a lot of hype and people pumping their project in Discord. Be very careful! You have been warned! When something seems too good to be true, guess what? It’s too good to be true!

But you guys seem to have a lot of problems with disappearing sneakers and bot calling out on real people. Plus you’re still on beta after two plus years and your updates aren’t specific in the description at all. I was looking forward to trying you out. Must be too good to be true. This app used to be good…

This app went from being one of my favorites on the app store, to being one of the most buggy, annoying & downright not fun anymore… I don’t know what the developers have planned for this app, but links to storefront, bringing prices down, fixing connectivity issues & bailing on all the cash grab features would be a good start. This app used to be fun, not so much anymore.

App would not allow me to login

I have never had so many issues with an app than this one. I installed, removed and reinstalled several times hoping I could log in but it never allowed me. Wasted so much time so I finally gave up. I might try again in the future but I’m not sure. I find the concept interesting how you can earn crypto by walking and/or running but I don’t understand why it won’t allow me to login.

Missing asset over 6 weeks and no help.

Sold a sneaker for 420 GMT a while back/ been back and forth with support and still don’t have it resolved… put my sneaker for sale, saw it disappear from my inventory and never received anything in return. I can’t believe it’s taking them this long to figure it out. If that’s the case why should I ever play?? It was the first thing I sold… what’s the point of this app if we’re afraid to sell our NFT’s???????

I’m liking that I now have a gimmick to make me walk - while flawed and has some issues, hopefully they use this bear market to develop an impressive Web3 game. Every update has made the user experience worse and worse. They’re doing nothing to slow down the minting of New sneakers. This seems to be driving the price of the reward token and the price of shoes to rock bottom prices, not being helped in a bearish market either. Their most recent update has removed the marketplace within the Application, this was the last straw, I’m done with it.

stepn will block your acoount without any warning

Recently, more than 1000 account had been blocked without warning. i can't login in，and can't get my GMT and my shoes out，It just say my account had been denied Access，So stepn can block your account without any warning , one day it will say u are using VPN or something else , and then block your account , and your shoes are gone , so terrible !

I think this is a scam

The app doesn’t let you create an account no matter how many activation codes I use there discord page won’t let me post anything when I try agreeing to there terms on discord for some reason it says I’m banned when I first join there server when I try to do the identity verification it gives me an error message I am starting to think this is some type of scam.

Ponzi scheme! Avoid!!

Like a classic ponzi, they lure new users to join with the prospect of earning money but are in fact using new user cash inflows to pay off older users. For a while, this works. But again like any ponzi, the pyramid inevitably collapses. The STEPN team has a track record of building and then abandoning games. When their Solana based in game economy collapsed, they took the funds and used them to build a BNB game. When that too collapsed, they took the money and built an eth game. The end result? A large chunk of the userbase will LOSE money while the developers make it big with literal hundreds of millions (check out their Q2 earnings). Rug pull ponzi alert! AVOID!

Run away. What once was a decent money maker and fun app for all is now a pay-to-walk app with awful changes led by a team with awful communication with their users. They continue to let out update after update that only brings the prices of their in-game products down and gas light their users for bringing up concerns. RUN AWAY
