StoryFire- Watch Videos & Read

I downloaded this app when it first launched on the App Store. The app had an incredible idea with users being able to publish their stories and read other stories completely for free. The new “Blaze” can be used to tip creators and to get more traffic to your story, however this is outweighed by the fact it cost blaze to read the story at all. There are many people who would agree that they would rather the app be loaded with advertisements than to constantly buy blaze to watch a featured series or to read a story. For a fix I would recommend you to give readers daily credits. These credits only last for that day and will allow readers to read 3-5 stories in one day. After they run out they could be prompted with watching an ad or buying credits. Buying the credits would of course be permanent and not just for that day. The main problem with blaze is that it makes the description of the app inaccurate. While we can technically do these things for free it’s not able to be earned by an average reader/watcher. It’s not a bad idea on paper to use blaze, however I would consider changing a few things about it before you do anything else. Some of my friends have started uninstalling the app or just making a new account for more blaze.

I should preface this by saying I am not swayed by any outside factor, this review is genuine. Around the launch of this app, I downloaded it just to test the waters if you will. I ended up writing a 10 part series, followed by an ambitious 19 part series and a couple short stories. Needless to say this app got me excited to write, and has actually molded a career for me; yes I am a full fledged writer BECAUSE of StoryFire. This app does a lot of things well, but instead of being a jack of all trades, master of none, it actually rivals bigger corporation owned platforms such as YT, and Twitter. Social media? StoryFire has you covered. Writer? That too. Blaze allows you to monetize your work, and with so many users you’ll feel right at home instantly. All in all, I wanted to thank Jessie and Brian for all their hard work in this app- as well as the users who make it so fun to sit down and write a story. hi there I don’t know your name and I love the platforms idea however I will say this I’m blind and I have an iPhone and I have been trying for over two years now to log into the site or app or whatever however it will not let me select my birthday correctly whenever I try it says it selected but then when I hit done it didn’t select please fix this also there are blind people out there who use a screen reader called voice over make sure that buttons are correctly labeled and that it’s easier to navigate when selecting your birthday the sign in is complicated and I think that if you sign in with Google or Facebook you should be able to tell the birthday based on the account this is a big accessibility issue and could draw people away from using your app. Also please reply back. And you should list how to contact you in case of any feedback or questions. For those who don’t know and for you as well screen reader is a built in well, voiceover is a built-in screen reader that is on all Apple products this has to be accommodated for which you did not do very well. If you need help please reply back with your contact information i’ll be glad to help. Please reply back to my review I’m sorry it was so long but I had a lot I wanted to say also you should make the app able to be used on the M1 MacBooks which is the 2020 model and I love the app again it just needs some work.

Just downloaded this app it needs work it needs to be easier to view videos for example the thumbnails are clipped sometimes and when you’re watching a video and want to raise the volume when you swipe down it pauses the video that may be beneficial to some viewers but I think it should have an option to either pause when you swipe down on the screen or the video can keep playing also it needs a better theme I think there should be a dark theme and a light theme and maybe you could make custom or other themes with different colors for color deaf people that can be purchased for cheap with blaze points I also hope you never sellout or let any major billionaire buy you out I also hope you don’t censor ANYTHING on this app no matter how gore and messed up the subject may be I also wanna let you know don’t let fake online bots sway your view on how you should do things people like major news stations pay to make thousands of bots attack you online so you can censor a certain subject to further push a political agenda thanks

Hello! My name is The Anemone and I’ve been a Storyfire creator since 2018, somewhere in the beginning of this community and back then, Jesse & Brian started a small fire. It wasn’t big, it was just them and and a few other creators that know Jesse & Brian, fans, and family members. Who would’ve thought this application who have a badge that you can get to make video content?! And a social media platform as well to get to know your followers who sees your stories. Storyfire isn’t just an application where you read a story from someone, you can make videos, earn / tip BLAZE which will become money in the future, make a social media post, and more. Back then, I wasn't expecting the fire to become so HUGE that no firefighters can take out. The fire is UNSTOPPABLE, nobody can’t get it out. If you download this app, you will not regret it!!! 😌❤️🔥

I like that app but this is one missing feature video because I’m trying to make a video but I can’t make a video when someone who hasn’t yeah I mean you Jesse you and deck chair Hass to have video on the app that way I can make a video how to enable all the app it self but you got to trust me Jesse that’s why I had to report this you have to have Brian or you how to enable video trust me on this one it’s not personal when it comes to business you had to take a risk trust your gut why do you want for anybody else on the app for the video yeah you have to learn that from everybody else on the app this review is what you have to follow through i’m sorry Jesse learn this from your perspective way what does everywhere on the Avenue need you to do take a risk

I have had the app since launch day and I really enjoyed reading stories during off times at work and when home and bored. However, there are a few things that would make an interesting chance. First off, there should be an offline mode so when our phone isn’t connected to wifi or cellular data, we could continue writing our stories. Secondly, I think it would be cool to add a short bio about what we will be writing. For instance, I am planning on writing about stories inspired from multiple games. While someone else would be writing mystery stories. Finally, there should be a search system to find key words of a specific story. So lets say I want to find other stories about a similar story I will be writing about, I can search up a specific word like “Robot”, “Vampire”, or “Beach” and find stories based off those words instead of scrolling through a bunch of stories.

I absolutely love this app! It's a great mix of community, videos and other media to really bring people together. Combining that with the freedom that creators have on here really makes me feel like this can become a top media site! I have one request though: in my opinion, I feel as though the feeling of the design for the app is great, but i believe that for some people who use certain devices like iPads or tablets in general it would be nice to have a landscape mode for the design. It would be much easier and more comfortable to be able to have something like that. I appreciate all the work you guys have put into this! Storyfire has everything I love about all the competing social media’s at once. It has videos with notifications that actually work 😉, a social feed and the ability to post pictures, while also adding very unique and useful features such as writing stories, expressing your creativity and BLAZE! Blaze is a currency IN the app meaning you can actually make “money” on here! This is the ultimate social media app for anyone. I have encountered so few bugs that I can’t even remember any of them, I’m just assuming there has been a couple. Definitely recommend downloading storyfire.

After my precious Mama Passed away a few months ago; I found myself slipping into a very dark space of depression & my anxiety was always up! It scared me cause I am a Single Mother to 3-I knew I had to find a way to dig out & I found StoryFire and it allowed me to find stories for calming & just the social part of it was Amazing•All the people on SF are absolutely the nicest people ever!! Please make the lines not have a 150 character limit. Long monologues are very climactic in story telling, so it would be great if there was no limit :) This also goes along with the issue I have with stories only having a maximum of 8 characters. A creator and story teller should be able to have as many characters needed, and 8 is not enough. Also, if StoryFire is the future for all creators, please tell me how users can start making money through the app and also please give advice on how to grow and be seen! Sorry for repeating this message but I really need this to happen as I cannot write more in my story until we can get more than 8 characters!

I got this app on launch date to support Jesse but stopped using it so I uninstalled it. I reinstalled it after jesses announcement to be moving videos onto story fire. I figured out how to write which is super easy step by step process which I enjoy. It is easy to create a quick made up story or a long in depth one. My only problem is I forgot to change a cover photo for one of my stories before I published it. When I tried to go back and edit it nothing I tried worked. I find this problematic for the sake of fixing spelling errors or character names and cover photos. If this can be fixed I will give this app 5 stars. That's my only problem and I love how easy it is to use

Ever since I joined StoryFire, everyone I’ve ever communicated with on that platform, has been with the utmost pleasure. People there are quick to share your name and profile, to help you receive an increase in subscribers. People are often very generous with their Blaze as well. It has quickly became my favorite social media platform, & I truly believe it’s going to remain that way. It’s an astounding platform that allows you to create the content that you want and yearn to creates & in fact, I think it’ll become even better! Stay lit! 🔥🤘🔥

I love using this platform to watch videos and see smaller creators with strong communities. But the only issue that I have come across is the fact that the user can’t multi task while watching the content. When you click on a video, you have to cancel the video to even look/multitask. I think it’d be nice to be able to swipe down and have the video in the bottom right while I can still look for other content and videos to watch. Also adding a watch later type of feature would be great as well! Hopefully the devs can see this and take it into consideration! Stay Lit 🔥

After I just recently updated I seem to be having some issues. I’m not sure if these are only temporary issues but the update was suppose to have “speed improvements”, yet when I press the “Home” button in the app there is a loading screen. And when I was trying to view someone else’s story, there was another loading screen. Nothing really seems to be loading, especially when I try to click on my own stories and press “edit series”. It’s either nothing happens or there is yet another loading screen. Not sure if I’m the only one experiencing this issue, but please fix it.

Finally!! An app that you can use without worrying whether or not your videos are going to be deleted without prior notice, demonetized or be concerned if your subscribers will be notified that you’ve posted! An app where creators can be free to produce the content that they WANT, and not what a platform has, for the most part, demanded that they produce. I downloaded the app when it first launched, in support of Jesse & Brian, and to participate in the storytelling portion of the app. Now it has grown into so much more than I ever expected and probably will only continue to grow even bigger and better in the future! This app is great! I was here since it was created and I will say it’s only gotten better as time passed. In the beginning you were only able to write stories and share them with the other users of the app, but they added so much more since then, from the addition of a community tab that allows the users to interact with each other like Twitter, to video applications and my personal favorite feature blaze. The only downside I see to the app is that if you’re wanting to upload videos; you’d have to fill out an application and wait to be approved. Other then that I think this app is great.

StoryFire doesn’t allow people to have video access unless they get “accepted” to do so. If your video is “cringe” or “bad” in their standards. They will NOT give you permission to upload videos. They will forbid you video access and will not tell you why they did that. You will be left waiting MONTHS just to get accepted to upload videos. Then, after all that anticipation. They will decline you video access if you’re not “good enough” for it. StoryFire tends to make having video access a competition which is completely unfair and wrong. Everyone deserves to have a fair & equal chance to upload videos to the platform. They simply just won’t allow that. They are COMPLETELY bias in who gets chosen to upload videos. Don’t waste your time. This app is great for storytelling but not for uploading videos.

Let me preface this review with a disclaimer: I am a video creator on this platform, and have been for some time. I've been on the platform for 3 years. I've seen it grow from a small obscure, writing app to a fully-fledged, Social, Video, and Written social media platform, the only one of it's kind. It's incredibly easy to earn Blaze, the in-app currency worth $1USD to 500 BLZ (as of July 2020) Excited to see where this platform will continue to grow. I absolutely Love the app, however I have one concern. I recently started a story and I spent a lot of blaze to promote it which I have no problem with, however I had to wait a whole month before my story could even be promoted. I was hoping it would be promoted in a couple days or so not a whole month, I was hoping to get feedback on the start of my story as soon as possible before continuing it that’s why I decided to promote it! But instead I had to wait a whole month before I could even get my story out there and seen by the community. Is there going to be a change to the wait time before you can get promoted ??

I’ve been on this platform since it was in beta, so I can tell you how far it’s come first hand. It’s been three years and the platform hasn’t slowed down one bit, whereas other platforms tend to vanish after a short time. This is the only video sharing website I feel has a chance to survive without Google money because of the passion surrounding its users and creators. Besides video, there are also thriving sections of the app dedicated to written stories and Twitter-like social posts. “Ran by creators, for creators” couldn’t be more true and I’m excited to see where it goes.

StoryFire is a platform built by an amazing rapidly growing community who all share a passion for storytelling in both written and video form. The app heavily promotes users to work together to tell whatever kinds of stories they want to tell, however they want to tell them. Whether you want to read some great stories, write a solo story, get together with friends to write a group story, participate in a writing competition, create a video series, or even just want to engage with the community in the user forums, there is most definitely something for everybody in this app!

Ok I think it’s a good app and I was really enjoying it but then they decided to put all thease ads in and I can’t even watch the video bc ads keep popping up when I press play another ad when I close the ad and press play again another one so I’ve spent an hour trying to watch 1 video on there and I still haven’t watched it I thought maby it’s one of those apps we’re you have to download the ad app it’s showing so I did but no it still not working so I hope the people that run this app see this and fix this glitch Bc it’s really frustrating me or maby they did it on purpose not sure but before it started doing this I would give it a 5 stars now unless it gets fixed not sure anymore I think I’m keeping it at 3

I searched high and low for a way to report all the bugs so I figured I’d come here. The only reason why I’m giving 3 stars is because of all the glitches I have to deal with. There’s a bug where if I go to insert a line above another one, it doesn’t do it! It brings me to the very bottom of the page and puts the line there. It’s so much harder for me to write on this app than it ever was. This app deserves 5 stars but I can’t give 5 stars if I have to fight the app and all of its glitches to the death every time I go into the app! Fix the bugs before adding features, this app is being KILLED!

When I first download this app I thought it was amazing you can post stories, like/re-light, and comment on videos depending if their good or not. You can see daily stories, and watch ads to earn some blaze even tipping blaze to anyone that needs or deserves it. When there was an update for this app there was a message bar you can DM’s people or message them (it can be really addicting at times). And just recently it was a big moment when story fire going went kaboom like an explosion.

After months of using this app I’ve made my decision on a 4 star rating. I like that it’s a new free way to watch content. I like the social media aspect of the app as well. Many of my favorite youtubers have joined which I find really cool. One small thing I have notice over the last few months is that the flame button will show I have pressed it when I know for a fact I have not. I literally counted today over 20 times the flame button was highlighted on many videos and post I had not seen or watch very weird and concerning. Other then this I enjoy my experience using the app!!!!

Storyfire is the most PERFECT app you can get when it comes to you wanting to tell stories, post series, tweets, and more. As someone who has a full 10 episode series finish on storyfire, I can say this app listens to their audience and fully complies on day-to-day regular things that should be done to improve platforms. They are the best competitors around and a BIG reason being is because this is a app made for creators, by creators. This app is a 10/10 for me. I recommend it to everyone.

Love the mission to provide creators with a platform where they can express themselves freely without consequence. I like the layout, the social feed, the blaze feature. Only constructive criticism I would offer is with respect to the ads. Not crazy about having to search for the magic “x” to appear in a different spot every time in order to skip the ad. And if the ad runs all the way through, it would be nice to see it automatically switch back and continue playing the video. Just a few thoughts....other than that, love what you guys are doing. I go by the name of “Sonoda” on StoryFire. I’ve been a day one user on StoryFire, and I’ve really seen this app grow over time. It has serious potential, and it is very unique. Many creators are joining every single day and things continue to get better. I totally advise you download it today! You can earn Blaze, which you can use to cash out for real world money or tip others. The story aspect is also really cool, and it’s a very enjoyable feature.

When I first use storyfire I wrote a story, watch a couple of videos it was doing good. Until I dint use it for almost a year. I came back to watch mcjuggernuggets exclusive “vlogs” and there was so many ads so much that it actually played two ads at the same time! I was able to close the first ad but the second one dint let me touch the x button or on the ad itself. It froze even when the ad was over. I restarted story fire and an ad showed but it dint even let do anything. And the ads happen constantly so does the glitches too making it frustrating to use storyfire while closing and reopening the app when these glitches happen.

When I making a story or series, I can only make the title so short when it needs to be a bit longer, mcjuggernuggets is my favorite YouTuber but this just makes me mad sometimes. And only so many people can like my stories. And one last thing, we should be able to make throw away accounts again because my friend doesn’t have a email and he needs to have a email to use the app and he wants to use it and test it out! If you could make those changes a bit I would gove a five star but I don’t like it right now only some of it.

StoryFire is the best app/game that I’ve ever had. I write stories all of the time! I’ve won games, contests, and have been seen for my work. Best storytelling platform out there. And a great way to get my story’s out there and seen. I would like a way to be able to add summary’s to my stories and make the titles longer. Please see my request! And thank you for making an awesome app! Also could you make it so contest winner stories still stay inside of your published stories...I would really like that!

It has a lot of potential on what it could do, one of my favorite things Is the community tab where it makes you feel like your in a actual community and how the app actually appreciates its creators something that we haven’t seen a while. The ads are alright they aren’t annoying nor excessive, the app is really well built haven’t experienced any glitches yet but has room for improvements just like everything else.

Honestly I just would like the give away to give the ps4 to my brother or whichever you’d send if you do. I constantly watch farming series and psycho uploads it’s my absolute favorite and always will be. Storyfire makes me so happy because I know with this you aren’t leaving and you honestly do help make my days better it helps me separate my mental break downs and pushes them away to disappear into your world Jesse. Thank you , from the Juggie since the begging.

I’ve never left a review for an app before but feel this one needs it, I know it’s in its early stages and new, however Jesse is now charging 50 blaze per video (for those who don’t have app is like currency in the app) you can either buy it, watch a ad for like 10 blaze (hardly ever works) or try somehow to gain a following. Jesse has a younger audience so a lot of this app is younger people, why charge to watch your videos? There is already ads on your videos when you finally get to watch them so why charge more to even get to that point? Seems selfish to me, hope to come back I really liked what you were trying to do. I’ve been using StoryFire since the app first launched. I’ve written so many stories. SO MANY. Me and my friends will read our lines and it’s just an awesome concept. This past year I’ve absolutely been hating this app. It’s extremely buggy. When you complete a new line when writing your story, it takes MINUTES to upload. It’s extremely frustrating, it takes so long to make stories now to the point where I don’t even feel like using this app anymore. It makes me so sad because the last part of my childhood I spent on this app. And it’s a waste to me now.

I found this app on accident! I used to watch jesses videos during the psycho series era, then suddenly stopped but a year and half ago I came upon a video that talked about this app right before the MVE series and decided to install, click on it and open the app then as soon as it opened it flashed between my eyes the app format was great! It’s so easy to write stories, poems, scripts, or etc. and then I found about group stories and that’s a whole different story!

This app is great to pass time and interact with others. While theres other websites you can use to write a vlog, Diary or story this app gives you the opportunity to allow others see your story without needing to work twice as hard to gain an audience to view your storys and the ability to earn blaze that you can soon cash out on soon is next level and I can’t wait to see what other features come out soon.

When I first heard of this app I was like that sound okay and then when I downloaded it I was like holy crap the best app that I have ever downloaded so thank you for making this great platform and this great app now I have something to do when I’m bored even if I’m not bored I still having something to to! I’ve decided to take a few minutes looking around the app in which I found out from Brandon Rogers. The fact that I could make stories and might even make videos? The variety of options of like 5? Then 8? Then more? Seems like the perfect app to me. I can’t rate it a 5/5 because it’s only been a few minutes, but yeah, this app seems pretty neat to me. Even the layout as well. I’ll check this app out more later on.

I have had this app for a while and just started using it it is a rly fun platform but it has some bugs like just now when I had to delete the app and redoenload it because I changed my pass word and it would crash every time I would go to my profile it would crash and it crashes sometimes but a very better platform than yt twitter and reddit combined

This app is really good, there are thousands of interesting stories and you can write your own. I’m having a great time on here. The users are very nice. There are barely any bugs. The layout of the app is great. I like how we give blaze to each other like a donation for a good story. Definitely recommend downloading this app especially since it’s free, you won’t regret it.

I don’t even care to write reviews but I had to for this trash app. It never functions right and always floods your videos with ads on them and it’s the worst app I’ve ever used because you can’t go to the app without it being crashed I don’t recommend anyone to download this app

I downloaded this app from a YouTuber named Deestroying. I am pretty new to the app and one suggestion that I have is, when you enter full screen in landscape and turning your phone so the top is facing the ground flips the viewing upside down in portrait and exits full screen. So I would like to be able to watch in portrait mode while the phone is upside down.

Hey storyfire, so i was wondering if you guys can change the 16 characters to 100 characters because i always wanted to write a single story with chapters inside instead of making a series for it. I think this would be a great idea to add in the platform please and thank you! 🔥🔥🔥

I created my StoryFire account, it work perfectly fine, the quality is ok, there is one problem, I'm struggling to submit to make videos, I've tried to submit for the application twice, both have failed, everything I typed in was correct, I could rate this 1 star if I have to, but I rated this app 3 because the software was ok, So please, StoryFire Staff, tell me what the problem is and I'll try again next time.

Overall great app! I have used it for about 2 or 3 days I think so far. There’s one issue though, so I set up my profile I refreshed it and then when I decided to watch some videos, I made a comment and it didn’t show my profile, I don’t know if I just have to wait for it to load or it’s an issue with the app.

I feel like this app has so much potential to tell great stories and make great content. So many features to contact with friends and just chat with people. Not only that you can post stories, videos, and pictures to your following like in other apps, and its all in one. Give it a try!

If you’re interested in creating content without anybody telling you what you can/can’t do, this is the app for you. The app was created and is owned by content creators that were tired of being limited in regards to what they were allowed to create, so this is the place to come share your story, WHATEVER it is.

When I first heard mve was gonna be on StoryFire I was craving for creation that wasn’t available elsewhere so I downloaded this app in hopes one day it would grow. Here I am almost 2 years after I first downloaded on my 6s and I wouldn’t change it for the world. By far the most creative app I’ve downloaded and I highly recommend
