Stopped email links
I can’t even fully review the app as I had to delete it after one day because whenever I tried to open an internet link, for some reason Bind took priority and was opening instead of DuckDuckGo. It is a very strange problem and I’m not sure if it’s on Bind devs or Apple devs but I would like to redownload once the problem is fixed!

Useless app that is just a data grab
I seriously hate this app. I have had this insurance and app for 3 years. I actually save money - because I avoid going to the darn doctor because this whole insurance plan is so frustrating. It’s great if you never need anything done - but good grief try to find a headache specialist on this app. Sure, you can find a neurologist - but you literally have to call every single neurologist listed to find one that specializes in headaches. Or try to find a hand surgeon. Nope - it’s going to show you every orthopedic doctor. Spine surgeons, knee surgeons, etc. same thing, you have to call every doctor in the list to see if you can find a hand surgeon. There are also numerous doctors that do not have phone numbers to even contact them at. That’s why I believe this is a useless app and is nothing more than a data grab. My insurance company has no reason at all to know my internet search history, access to my contacts stored in my phone, or any of the other information that they are taking anytime you pick up your phone. Deleting the app.

Dishonest about claim processing
The app itself is okay. The coverage is highly dishonest. They send emails saying telemedicine visits with included health or Doctor On Demand are free, approve the claim on date of service, then reject it 4 days later leaving you with a full bill like you’re uninsured. When you ‘have questions’ it says the claim should be covered in the app. Chat and calling is little help, they ultimately say ‘we can get a solution by escalating this to a supervisor, they’ll reach out shortly’. A few weeks later, no response. I called back, and they go: ‘oh, this wasn’t fixed yet?’ Typical experience with UHC: deny claims and send you down an endless rabbit hole to nowhere until you pay for a claim that they advertise as covered with no patient responsibility. Shocker.

Information is not accurate, often outdated
In theory, the idea behind upfront knowledge of procedure and visit costs is great. But a combination of poor app and website navigability and outdated information makes this very difficult to ascertain the offerings for a specific procedure. For example, if I want to schedule an MRI for the minimum copay, I can bring up a map of locations and the associated price. However, some locations returned are inaccurate, i.e. there is no provider there or it is the corporate location of the provider. This is a fundamental flaw given that location is tied directly to price of procedure for Surest. Given that location is tied directly to price, if the provider is a network of locations and has availability at another location, the price may be different which is frustrating. Not sure if surest can unify prices across a network since it is probably part of their negotiation but at least they can show all associated locations in a network so you can get a readout on price by location.

Nevermind transparency, get price certainty!
So I have been using the Bind app for a couple of years. I don’t think I can ever go back to the price uncertainty of other plans. What you see before a visit is what you get billed after! No surprises. Thank you!!! I also like that I can see options and how to save money if I go somewhere else. Please integrate pharmacy info. I know it is not fair to expect my drug plan to be as cool as this, but it sure would be nice.

Unable to actually find doctor
The app generates a long list of available providers for the specialty I need. No numbers listed, no way to contact them. Tried to look them up online, no results for any of them. Called the helpline and they searched the internet along with me to find their contact info…. The helpline provided me with a short list that they found a contact for using some kind of internal directory they had access to. Not taking new patients… how am I supposed to find a provider? Reading through other reviews on here many of the 5 star reviews really read like bot posts. That’s very concerning.

No Touch ID
I like having Touch ID and many apps have it including my current insurance company. But we are switching to Surest and the app does not have that feature. Update - thanks to sone prompt feedback from the developer I learned it does have the feature. I used this app recently after a recent Dr visit and everything is working flawlessly. Review has changed to 5 Star.

Confidence shaken in the Surest plan.
The app looks appealing and would provide a great UX if it had accurate information. All but two GPs listed in my area don’t have a phone number and a quick google search shows they don’t exist. Some even have a PO Box as their physical address. The default provider when I search has a phone number, is real, lowest premium listed, quality care heart and everything, but isn’t taking new patients and hasn’t in years. By the time I finally do get to a GP that’s real and willing to see me, after a frustrating amount of searching, it’s 3x the price.

Love the app!
I’ve been on a Surest plan for a few years now and I love everything about it. The App is great and is easy to use and is fun to show off to my friends and family how easy it is to find doctors in my area and how much they cost! I hope all my future employers offer Surest!

Clear, affordable
My old insurance plan was confusing and full of surprises. Crazy how many surprise bills I got. This has been much easier. It’s not perfect. But I love that I know what I’ll pay before I go. And I found I’m spending less when I do. My wife loves it too - great with our kids.

All copays
I transitioned from a High deductible health savings account (HSA) almost three years ago. It was the best decision for our family. Our out of pockets costs went down almost 90%. The App works great and even worked for a virtual visit for our daughter studying in Italy last year.

I miss bind.
As a person with moderate healthcare needs, bind (surest)was amazing. Beyond the transparency, the trade from deductible to Co-insurance let me spread the expenses across time rather than having to pay 3000$ or more in the first few months. My new employer has United but doesn’t offer any palatable options.

Horrible
Awful app. The ui is clunky, performance is laggy, and 9/10 “providers” information listed is inaccurate / outdated. You have to cross reference each person on google to find the actual information, and most of the time you can’t find said person. Other providers are listed without any sort of contact information, with no way to reach out and nothing on google. The fact that this app is allowed to exist in this state is an absolute crime.

You need to get better
1. Provide a filter to search providers accepting new patients. It's not ideal to click on each name and find out. 2. Lock the copay price for doctors for atleast one year Jan to Dec. When showing upfront price is transparency, changing the price for the same doc is called dynamic pricing and is not ideal. That will mean if I select a doc with $25 copay and establish care and the price inceases to $125, I will have to change the provider. 3. Most of the providers whom you have listed as in network haven't even heard of the name Surest. Please talk to your providers. 4. Virtual visit video calls should be managed within the app 5. Connect with health apps and provide rewards for exercises and walks. 6. Your customer support is still confused on what's the relationship between Surest and UnitedHealth care.

It’s been fine so far, but I only just installed it and am still getting used to it. One thing I can’t seem to find is a way to save providers as a favorite or to a list of some sort so I don’t have to go back and run searches every time.

Worst Search in History
Looking for a mental health provider, and I specifically want someone who does EMDR. That’s not a specialty option, and they show you next to nothing about each individual physician, so I have no idea what services they offer. I have to look up each physician outside of the system, and if I find someone outside of the system, they likely aren’t covered by insurance. It shouldn’t be this hard to find care, and the folks who made this app should do better.

Terrible app
Probably the worse health insurance app I have encountered. It only provides a list of providers that are in-network but that’s all, no contact number or option to schedule through the app. Reached out via chat for assistance and was advised to google the provider and his/her contact info for me to schedule an appointment. Not the most convenient app. The addresses provided for each doctor doesn’t seem to be accurate according to the ones google shows.

Won’t Let Me Log In
My company switched to Bind in 2022. It changed to Surest in September. I have not had issues with the app. All of a sudden I changed my password and it won’t let me sign in and use the app at all. I thought it had face recognition but now it doesn’t. I honestly have no use for the app it I can’t find doctors because it won’t let me sign in. I deleted it and reinstalled and it still doesn’t work

Love the app, but not the new health safe ID
I still give the app 5 stars, because it is very functional. The new Health Safe ID causes log in issues sometimes. I’m all about security, but wish the Surest app had its own built-in two factor authentication.

Login Issue
App is not allowing me to enter parentheses like (, ) . Keyboard does not show that option. However your web allows me to have that character. I literally have to update the password to use it both in app and web. Further when you enter the password for the first time, it does not allow me to turn on the unhide option. Also FaceTime setup is not getting triggered during the initial setup. I am using iOS 16.6 on iPhone 11.

I love my Surest app where I can check out prices and providers before I make an appointment. And the bills always are the same as what was shown in the app. Its been a great plan for my family and I!

Useless!
App is very buggy! Unable to log in, keeps redirecting back to login page despite entering password and confirming with text and facial recognition. Called customer service, not very knowledgeable or helpful. It’s the beginning of the year and being new to Bind I’d like to do some research. Isn’t that the whole point of this plan? How can we make informed decisions when the information is not available??!?

Great info on provider cost
This app has a lot of useful features. One of them is the ability to see how much a doctors visit will cost. My one request wood be to have the ability to add ID card to Apple Pay.

Has potential but needs improvement.
Just started with Bind this year. App closed before me and couldn’t get back in for days. Needs to have pharmacies and DME companies listed plus common DME devices. Have called and still not able to get a straight answer on DME providers. This will cause a major delay in getting vital medical supplies.

Can’t load
I never write reviews but I have been so disappointed with the bind app. When I try to look up pricing for specific medical specialities it just goes all white and freezes forever. Very frustrating.

Not search friendly
It will show you doctors near your area, but the info is not accurate. There is no direct link to the offices you need, you have to google the doctors on the side to get the necessary information, and plenty of times the offices don’t take the insurance. Could be easier to reach out doctors

How simple & clear!
I was able to find my doctor in network for my son’s ear infection and know my copay. Previously, I’ve been left in the dark by health insurance companies and am impressed with the simplicity and clarity of this app!

Decent app but I need to authenticate EVERY time
Good functions over all but I had to knock a few stars off because I need to use my password and receive a text every time. I am all for two factor authentication, but I feel this is a bit overkill. Edit: I already have ‘remember me’ selected. The app is not remembering.

Completely Useless
What is the point of having an app if I can’t even use it for anything? Trying to schedule a simple virtual checkup for any of the providers just redirects me to a separate website that I have to create another account for. I am incredibly disappointed and regret every day switching away from Kaiser.

Coverage
I have tried to find a list of providers that cover needed surgery and was given the list. I call to make an appointment, according to the list, and am told they do not take my insurance. I called a rep to assist and was given the same list along with the offer to call the the clinic. After placing the call I am advised that the clinic does not take my insurance. I again ask where does and do not get an answer but am told will submit an email to get one. The email simply states something like yes they take our insurance. That is all and no response to my emails sent after

App doesn’t work for me
The app is not working for me, when I try to give my credentials, it says “Oops..something went wrong’ and when I try to click anything it says “Something went wrong”. Even on mobile browser, it keeps throwing some SSL error. Would highly appreciate if this can be followed up.

App has flaws
I’ve had this app since 1/1/20, I’ve tried to use it everyday at this point to get familiar with it. I have yet to get anywhere with it. As soon as I select a specialty it goes to a white screen and nothing happens. If this is how you’re planning to do business, this can’t happen. This has me regretting leaving my other plan option. Poor app.

As a new user I guess the money I saved on coverage means less money spent on developing an app that limits me to basic information and has very limited control features or options. Even a simple “back button” would be nice.

App prompting payment
I first downloaded from apple play store and opened the app, I clicked on something and went to blank screen with no way to go back. I deleted the app and tried to reinstall, now it prompts a payment screen before I can redownload. The app needs work at least for iPhone.

Worst app EVER
This app is trash, you can’t filter providers by “accepting new clients”. Most of the providers don’t even have a phone number listed just addresses and when I reached out to costumer service they provided me with some phone numbers to various providers and the numbers were incorrect. It’s a headache to navigate.

The app and its data are a joke
- Can’t search by hospital or clinic name - The support can’t answer me if a hospital is in network or not. - The support chat guy quit on me when I asked him if a specific hospital is in network. - “UHC” nationwide network seems useless with Surest. Am I wrong or is this just a shiny app around a problem of healthcare without actually fixing the problem. Just another nicely built app without any substance. I mean come on. What good is the app if you can’t search by doctor or hospital? Like that’s the whole point of the app. My god.

This was the most frustrating experience to do. It would not allow me to use user name or password and passwords that set up. It took forever and I was almost in tears. You need a better system. Awful awful!!!! Shame on you

Co-Pay prices are outdated
Their app listed my PT office as a $10 co-pay. Come to find out after I’ve already gone to that office 6 times the real co-pay is $55. They told me on the phone that there was nothing they could do for me even though their own app shows $10
