Almost 50 years a Times reader!

I am so pleased that the Gadsden Times now has an online option. We are retired and like to travel and this allows us to keep up and not worry about the paper piling up at the door.

I appreciate all of the hard work that is done to provide us good local news.

App is okay

A good way to keep up with hometown news. Sadly the print edition is no longer printed in Gadsden, either Rome, Georgia or Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Sadly the social media app is going away from local news. For $1 a day should have more local news

App can be difficult

I am a subscriber but have had several issues getting into the app. Even though I enter my credentials it sometimes refuses to give me access.

Pretty good

This is a nice app. I'd even pay for it if it offered more content. This is not much different than the mobile optimized GT site. Gadsden Times, please come out with a paid iPad app that has all the content of the physical paper.zs

Crashes constantly

I’ve deleted and reinstalled several times but it continues to crash. I don’t know why we subscribe. There’s no local news in The Gadsden Times

Always having problems with the delivery of the paper. The phone service at your office is in shambles.

Obituaries

Why can I not get the obituaries online? If this cannot be remedied I will cancel! I check this every day to keep current with former co-workers!

No local news

Other than the weekly reports on the Etowah County Commission meetings and the Gadsden City Commission meetings there is no local news. Nothing from Glencoe, Hokes Bluff, Altoona, Attalla, Keener, etc. Nothing!

Gadsden Times Review

Not much news in the Gadsden Times and the papers get smaller and smaller. Most online readers want to read the obituaries before they go to bed so they can plan their day, yet local obituaries are not available until midnight. I know the information is available earlier and it would help readers make arrangements to attend funerals that they were not aware of. Many people are busy when they first wake up and don't have the time to read the paper until later.

The current app is working on my iPhone. The previous version upgrade did not. I wish there were a way to see and read some articles in the Living section. I have friends who write those and enjoy keeping up with local happenings as I live in Denver now. Perhaps I'm missing the menu choice on how to access this area now. However, it was a clear menu choice in prior versions.

Waste of time

This is a very poorly designed app. It's much easier to go to the webpage for Gadsden Times than this. There is no search function on the app! Perhaps there is somewhere, but here is my rule of thumb: if I open an app and cannot figure out how to use it in five minutes it is a failure and gets deleted. The only reason I would go to the Gadsden Times is to search for something specific, which I cannot do on this app.

Great App

I enjoy this app very much. I can have the news on my iPad. The only negative is there is no "Search" for certain articles. If there is one, I haven't found it. I'm giving it five stars for news content.

I have to say this is little better than a safari bookmark, no iPad optimization but hey it free. I would pay regular subscription price for a proper digitized form of the paper.
