The app is easy to navigate and use. However, this isn’t a one stop shop. Ihave several creators that use this website. There is no way to easily find the creators courses I need. I can’t easily upload my profile for each creator. Teachable lists all the courses I have with teachable on one screen and I can access all the content there. A feature like this that can merge several courses across different creators would be great.
I just started using this app on an iPad for a short term course. Two problems popped up immediately upon 5 minutes of usage. First, it is not possible to highlight or write on a pdf document. The only thing I can do is to read the pdf. It is not possible to download or export the document so I cannot annotate at all. Given that this app is intended to facilitate learning, the lack of features makes it very poor and frustrating when it comes to processing any information. Two, the thinkific app keeps crashing when I try to switch to another app to take notes. Every time I switch to the note taking app, I have to reopen thinkific, which is very annoying and inconvenient. This app needs a lot of work to actually help people of various learning styles and preferences. The visuals seemed appealing at first, but turned out to be an issue of style over substance.
If you are a course creator, you are not going to be happy if you pay for the unbranded version of Thinkific! They are now putting a pop up on your courses. So whenever anybody logs into your domain they will get a Thinkific pop up directing them to the App Store! I dont know what bonehead in the Thinkific marketing department thought this was a brilliant idea? I am not happy that I pay for unbranding only to have them brand themselves over my domain. You may want to think about choosing a different platform for your online courses.
I’m unable to scroll through videos, I have to use the 10 second fast forward or rewind instead, and the app freezes half the time when I do fast forward/rewind. It is also inconsistent with the “complete” option at the end of each section of a lesson, so it is not accurately tracking my progress of the course.
It’s an ok app. Can be better if some issues are fixed.
Videos freeze way too many times. I have the app on my iphone and ipad and it’s the same issue across both devices. The app crashes and I can’t scroll back on videos unless I hit the 10s rewind which takes too long to get to the beginning of a class.
Thank you for the development of the app. It is amazing. It really change the experience of learning. Hope you can add new functionality soon. The visibility for events, notifications for live sessions, perhaps a calendar would be great. Thank you!
The app looks great and is easy to navigate, but the page loading is so slow that I’d rather use my courses on desktop, which is not always convenient. It’s so slow it don’t even believe the videos will load sometimes.
Not sure what the point of this app is or how it benefits me as a user? I have an account with Thinkific for several classes but I can’t access any of them. I have to find the business but I also have to hope the business enabled their mobile app function?? As a user, this app is unusable for the average person. I guess I can still only access my classes on the desktop.
I have been eagerly waiting for this! I was able to add my company to the app under “Settings” in my account. I love how simple the app is since our students are almost always do not know English well. Thank you Thinkific Team for, what I’m sure, was a lot of work on your end to build this. Looking forward to: - Easy to add app links for students so they don’t have to search for our business (InterSign University) in English. - Ability to take quizzes in the app
I open the app and it freezes, the screen is cream colors and no longer moves. We are several people who are going through the same thing. This app already has time like this. There is some way to update it or the whole group is going to leave and we will look for another option. Thank you.
Whenever I click the full screen button, it immediately goes back to the smaller picture. Makes it extremely difficult to see what’s happening when videos have small text
2 months ago, Why do I need a stupid nickname? lol
Dysfunctional
Download feature doesn’t work. The lesson discussion area isn’t included in the app version. The rest of the layout was decent but being able to view the course on the go is the entire point of using an app instead of the browser.
Kajabi & Skool both allow users to link all of their courses from various content providers. Thinkific is the only one that doesn’t even let me find a single one…I’ve bought courses from 4 different instructors and can’t find any from the app
Load speed is slow and I hate the swipe function. I go to hot pause and accidentally swipe to the next video lesson and lose my place. And it takes so long to reload the video. I’d rather use the website from the actual creator.
After downloading, entering my company name and continues to close out which doesn’t allow access. In the beginning it works but now it doesn’t, big disadvantage for me and my students.
The app is easy to navigate however it glitches horribly. Videos buffer continuously whether on great wifi or 5G it just does not work ñwithout several buffers
