Nice application

Current version works well. Has many of the sections of the local paper. However, the application would be even better if you could see local death notices and obituaries.

It’s okay. It has local news for my hometown. There isn’t a LOT of content, seems like the ‘top stories’ change quite infrequently, but it look at that as ‘good’. The less ‘top stories’ in the news, just means there are less problems happening in my hometown. I feel the ‘regular’ price for my local news, I think it was $10 a week(?) or maybe a month I forget, either way it’s TOO MUCH! Especially with a digital subscription! There is not enough news to warrant that price! Especially when I have NO INTEREST in sports! When sports are over half the content. I realize that the special offer, of $1.00 for 6 month, is also too low. There should be a medium ground.. $3.00 - $5.00 a month? Then I would keep it.

Big mistake ! Won’t renew subscription.

Hate the app!! Not user friendly. Takes two / three more steps than before to even pull up the daily paper. Today the paper won’t even load !!! Just a grey screen. I can get top story category open but not enewspaper. Happens now and then. Absolutely hate the new share page . Never says if page was sent . Only lights up emails in green once you press the send button. Not sure what is improved with this app- it’s more of a hassle to me now. Sorry . I wanted to like it , but it is an irritant everyday now. Won’t renew subscription . And again…… paper will not load !

Times Herald app

I moved home to Port Huron and wanted to stay up to date on local news. This app is perfect because I work out of town for several days at a time so getting the paper would be difficult. The app allows me to stay up to date even when away.

Comic Section changes

Times Herald comic section has been changed . “Get Fuzzy” and “Doonsberry “have recently been taken over by other comics that in my opinion are “lousy”. “Dilbert” disappeared several months ago. Maybe it’s time to cancel my subscription. Local coverage has deteriorated over the years. This is what happens when a big companies take over small newspapers. I still have not made up my mind as to whether I should cancel.

The newspaper version in the app freezes up every time on my iPhone.

Not happy

I paid for a subscription to the app and I am still waiting on the availability of a paid subscriber. I am not happy with that.

Bad paper and app

I can’t believe the issues I have had with this app. On several occasions I have been told I only had so many articles left to read. This after paying for a year. Then I get support from a person hard to understand. Not happy.

Lost archives feature

New update won’t allow you to access archives feature. Tried several times to contact but no reply

Rejected

bought the app and then got blocked because I didn’t have a subscription. No one can explain to me what happened. I assume now that I should have bought a subscription and then the app? That is not what the app said.

App closes immediately since IOS 14

The app closed immediately when I try to open it ever since I updated my phone to iOS 14. Other apps did the same but have come out with updates.

I am a subscriber but I never can get into The stories for subscribers. It says I need to subscribe. I already am . Most ridiculous system you have . Thinking of canceling

Regret stopping the paper. Difficult to navigate. Organized nothing like the newspaper.

Update needs work

With new update, alerts get posted quicker. Old news needs to be cleared out more often, after a week, it gets old. Some links are blank. Update needs a lot of work.

I like my local news so keeping my alerts on it lets me know everything I need. Like when local roads are closed due to Accidents or Amber alerts. ✅😊

The website has been a disappointment. This app works great!

The app is not good

It sends out notifications and when you try to go to it nothing is there. School closings or updates. Don't send them out if it isn't on the site.

Used to Read this Politically biased garbage

This is a destructive newspaper that has junk journalists with an agenda. They're not afraid to bash schools, to push an agenda, whether it be via smear campaign or trying to sway a voter in more ways than one.

Election coverage link had no info, even on Nov 5th. Glad I pay 9 bucks a month for crappy access.

Piss poor

Every other news app I have is free! This one they want you to pay for the articles. Ridiculous. Poor app!! Still the same story months later! Would give it zero stars if I could!
