So, I downloaded the Unscramble app using my iPhone 5s and for the most part, I felt that the app ran just fine...I unscrambled and clicked on for definition for 6 different words and besides running a little slow, it functioned well and the slowness wasn't slow enough to bother me in any way...The only thing I think may have been an issue was the wildcard function didn't seem to work for me as well as on the home screen it says ( click on word to get definition )...there aren't any words on the home screen, so it can be a bit confusing to tell whats the purpose of those instructions... is there supposed to be words there for me to click on, or is this advising me to click on the words I'm typing in or unscrambling to get the definition...also I'm not sure what the + & - symbol in the section where you type in a word is supposed to do, because when I click on it it goes to the color-changing section but the + or - doesn't really seem to serve a purpose....Other than that the app seemed fine..the ads weren't too intrusion..the settings and other options functioned fine...yes it was a little bit slow to respond but not that slow..and the app never crashed...One of the things that I would change is the color-changing option...instead of having the entire home screen change color I would have rather the word just change color.
Props for ease of use!!! Not a lot of clutter, type in your letters and words appear. Thanx for letting us customize font sizes. WHY don’t you let us have three letter word lists? ‘ALB’, ‘ION’, ‘RHO’... I mean, who wouldn’t brain-short on those if they’re 80 years old trying to play word games on an iPad for the first time? ALSO, CRITICAL, and a deal-breaker if unaddressed MUST OFFER ONLY VALID WORDS to us. If we’re putting in 8 random letters, we only want to get actual accepted word combinations back, not obscure invalids, what’s that about? This is why you only got 4 stars. What if you added another filter, like a ‘common-place-popular-word’ filter for kids? I 5-star LOVE the ‘Tap for auto Definition’ feature, wow, NICE!!! I see what you’re TRYING to give us, and you’re really almost there! Please keep refining and consider the under 10 and over 70 age groups. Your app is the most linear of its kind. You have my gratitude for that.
I downloaded this app and have been very happy with it, but yesterday, the app disappeared off my app page so I went to download it again and it wants me to just open the app and I love to be able to have it back on my app page.. Any ideas how I can get it back??
I went ahead and paid for the app because I’ve gotten far more use out of the app than a dollar- not because I had to. The ads aren’t that intrusive and I’ve gotten a lot of use out of this app after my old one quit updating. This one is better for my needs anyways. I use this for a variety of word games, usually when I get stuck and just need some different ideas for my letters. Thanks for a great resource!
I play jumble crossword puzzles and the only times I can’t find a word is when there are too many extra letters. This is not the app’s fault. If only one or two extra letters, it finds the word for me. It’s a solid four stars app at the least. Thank you.
Just loaded this app 15 m ago and entered the word photography. I was interested in 3 & 4 letter words and got back one 4 letter word. I knew 10 off the top of my head and twice as many 3 letter words but didn’t receive any results for 3 letter words. I hit the two star rating but intended to hit this one star.... shouldn’t have such an obvious problem like this 5 minutes after downloading the app.
I’ve noticed the app has been giving words that aren’t words and words with no definition. Also it doesn’t recognize words that are actually words. It doesn’t help if I have to open a second app to look up a definition and/or verify a word does/doesn’t exist.
I have been using this app for quite awhile now. And would have given it 5 stars. But I am becoming disappointed when it often only unscrambles a word and bypasses the 3 and 4 lettered words. So I may have to find another unscrambler. Grrr
Lots of words are not valid her words with friends
I love the interface however it is totally useless to me if most of the words I am using come up in words with friends as “not valid“. I sent an email to their support mailbox and it was rejected as the mailbox was full. Tells you a little bit about their level of customer service.
It’s free so there’s that but at least half of the words generated are not real words. I’m looking for a better one and am willing to pay a couple bucks for it.
Easy to use. Clear, uncluttered lists. But, shouldn’t limit number of words returned. When an entry has too many 4 (or more) -letter words, it won’t provide ALL of the 3-letter words
I love the app, but when I entered the letters "irpal" it came up with lots of words except for "April". So makes me wonder how many more words are missing or overlooked.
This app is free, but makes its money from in-app advertising. That's nothing new, of course, but the catch here is that the user MUST click on the ad (and usually be redirected as a result) each time the app is used. Even worse, some of the ads don't clear off the screen, even after the user clicks them - so the user launches the app, is forced to click an ad and be redirected, and after all that, STILL can't use the app, because the ad won't clear off the screen. I have no problem with in-app advertising. But I do have a problem with the advertising taking the whole app hostage. Bottom line: don't waste your time on this.
"i need to go to the app im cheating on. ok im going back. oh, you're loading an ad? ok. I'll wait." and either "ok no ad" or "hello ad. how do i close? *click* hello same ad, x time" fix the ad closing system change ad activation, have one pop up after a few submissions. the filters are also a bit confusing, add some information about them.
The ads each and every time you use were annoying but I tolerated, after all, it was free. But today, I can't even use this. It keeps taking me to an ad for a food service that is not even available in my area. No matter what I have tried, closing the ad, using the arrow to return to the ap, it just opens the ad again. I give up.
I really enjoyed using Unscramble until this new update. Now you can only enter 12 letters instead of 20. Which means this app is now almost useless for my needs which require unscrambling words longer than 12 letters. Give us back our 20 letter option. Please.
Can't even use app just gives full screen adds when you launch with no way to close. Touching the screen anywhere launches new ad windows everywhere. Worthless
Would give this App "no stars" on account that, when you first open the app, it starts with an advertisement that you can't close. So didn't get a chance to experience this app. Looks good, but can't access.
I understand having ads, but you MUST click them and they still don't go away. I'm stuck, even after clicking the ad. I can't use the app. It would be a nice app without this glitch.
My title pretty much sums it up - this app is unusable bc of the ads. Some of the full screen ads don't go away even if you wait them out or click or swipe.
Every few seconds you are interrupted by an ad. I could understand once per search, but the ads appear AS YOU ARE SCROLLING looking at the word options! Deleting it now.

This SCRABBLE® cheat ability is nice but we prefer to let your partner know you are using a word unscrambler to unscramble letters. Some call it word breaking or using a word breaker. Use filters for 'Starts with' or 'Ends With' and many other filters to speed up word searching. Select from multiple dictionaries. Increase your vocabulary by finding words and looking up the definition by tapping the word. You will see how easy generating words is. Most of all, have fun!
