I tend to read the articles I am interested in learning about. It is good to have some local news since I stopped getting the news paper a couple years ago because of poor coverage.
I am using an iPhone 11 with iOS 14.2. When I open the app and go to an article I want to read the screen will go white and I have to go back and open the article again. This started happening after the WBOC App update about a month ago. Please fix this problem! I tried using app support but it does not work.
when I go to the "Live" feature the news shows for about 5 seconds then crashes. Never had the problem before. I uninstalled the app but still same thing

They claim to be “Delmarva’s News Leader” buy other than TV news broadcasts they don’t update the local news all weekend. That’s sad from a company who is buying up all kinds of radio stations and other tv stations. They are becoming a monopoly locally while not providing the news they are in business to provide.
it wasn’t too bad an app for getting local news. Got used to the no updated stories over the weekend. But now nothing beyond the same couple of local stories opens. Just the title and picture.. no text. I believe you have just given up on the app. I would say Please fix so I don’t have to delete.. but you probably won’t. So.. delete both WBOC apps I will.
Hard to find local news at a glance. App not updating, tired of looking at old news from several days ago. The 7 day forecast is showing weather from 4 days ago forward. I rather have the old view back.
I read this to know what is going on in Maryland, on Maryland's Eastern Shore! I don't care at ALL about Delaware but most of your news is about DE. Stop or I am going to delete app from my phone completely. I do NOT give a big rats about Delaware!
I honestly don’t know how the editors have jobs. I just read an article that has no fewer than ten grammatical errors in the few short paragraphs that it contains. One of the headlines reads, “Salisbury Recovery Home Looking to Expand It’s Outreach.” No wonder the rest of the country thinks we’re backwards here on the Delmarva Peninsula.
The constant reminder to turn on Bluetooth for accuracy is annoying. A lot of people consider this Bluetooth "feature" to be a security issue or at least an infringement of privacy.
What happened to National, International, Technology, and Entertainment news? All of them are now gone in this new version. It’s nowhere near as easy to navigate. Stop trying to fix what isn’t broken.
Sure it will soon be fixed, it tends to "forget" things, which is remedied with refresh. This will get 5 stars as soon as that bug is fixed. I love this app so much a minor bug won't stop me. But also I love it so much I'm going to whine and complain a lot. Really, this app does EVERYTHING and it looks good too! Even reads aloud when you shake it. But you can turn that option off if you don't like it. Lots of ways to customize. Worth it worth it worth it!!!
This app is a very good idea, unfortunately wboc is not taking it seriously, I been having this app for a few months, thinking that it will get better, I know is a country area but customers deserve better, since wboc is the only local channel, we expect the best of you, the worst part is that I don't see another channel coming soon. Regarding the app, you guys just to write a lot about the articles, exaggerating actually, but now it seems like a Twitter, how can you do that ? Customer need a couple details on the news so we can even help in case police are looking help to get information. I hope you guys improve ASAP. When big companies of cable or satellite don't want to renew contract with you guys is for a reason, you guys want to be respect it as a company, so do the same with your customers, we are the one that have to call the companies and ask them to keep you guys on the air, it is obvious they don't want to do business with you guys. Normally stories will open. I do not allow location because it pulls even when you are not in the app. It tries to open then forwards to an advertisement. You X out and it still won't open the story. This just started occurring. Otherwise the app worked well.
Please make an update where the user can pull to zoom the forecast. My eyes are not bad but sometimes I cannot really see the words under each day's temps, and you don't allow us to enlarge that graphic in any way. Wish when I hit weather it opened up to the forecast page instead of making me make a second choice at the bottom to get the forecast. I don't think most people are interested in all the writing on the first page of the weather tab.
Every morning while eating my breakfast, I go through the WBOC app and several others which get my day started. One of the last things I do before bed is to check the news and/or weather.
The app is good overall, however entirely too many push notifications for pending severe weather. One notification is sufficient. This app routinely repeats the notifications every half hour to an hour even after you have opened the app and read the weather warning. Otherwise good app with good information. Had to turn alerts off all together.
Not bad...but the HD graphic update does not work!!
The app itself isn't bad. I get all of the news updates just fine. I do, however, have a problem with the horrible video quality. I was hoping that most recent update for this app would add the hd graphic update for iphone 4 like it promised, but it did nothing to enhance the look at all! Fix the video & graphics and you will get 5 stars from me,
It's not ABC that I love, it's the people that work at station, they do a really great job and everyone seems to be so nice and it's not just 1 of them but all of them. I hope they stay together for a long time
Very well organized app! The weather options are wonderful and news reporting great as expected! I don't always have time to watch the news on TV so this app is very useful!
The WBOC app continues to have crippling usability issues with banner ads!! You need to remove them to make this app even remotely useful. Banners cover the last paragraph of most stories! Ridiculous since I am quite sure the ad revenue from your broadcast stations would more than cover anything you get from these annoying banners!!
You don't rate a app simply off of looks you will go no ware in life off of just looks. This app is great and very use full i love it and i use it everyday!
This was a great app before the update. I was checking it often then after the update it placed adds on the top and bottom of the screen. Makes it difficult to see now and am frustrated.
For 2 years I've been trying to have them fix a problem that occurs when attempting to share an article or story, where the link to the article doesn't appear in the forwarded document. Still not fixed.
The last update for this app has proven to do the opposite of what it says...I can not read any stories when I select them. I do not have current information in the news list. This is very disappointing. Please fix soon!
