I have lived in Minnesota all my life I grew up with the cast of wdio on tv my parents only watched channel ten wdio and as a kid it was our favorite channel. The app reflects the quality of channel ten and the app shows it, easy to down load and simple to navigate I recommend the app and channel to all my friends, I know this because I happen to be there greatest fan from day one with Denny Anderson jack McKenna many more through out the years o I don’t want to forget ken chaippen
I love receiving the updated news reports and events as they happen. Often times, I’m not near a TV or radio, so it’s nice to have this app that provides me with relevant and important news and weather. I have not had any issues at all with this app, so thank you all for doing such a great job! Gloria Nash-Kasola
I really enjoy the morning and evening news with the WDIO news team. You have chemistry, respect and humor. I loved Justin’s emoji weather display, I laughed out loud, and thought to myself, that’s genius, so I used his idea in the local community newspaper. Thank you!
Having lived in the major cities of four midwestern states, it surprises me that Duluth can continue to hold the talent embodied in Darren Danielson. He is as good as they get. Tom Brokaw made gestures to Darren when Tom worked in New York several years ago. Luckily, Darren loves Duluth.
Videos still struggle to load, and the typical commercials that drive us all nuts are a routine aggravation. There not a lot of fire or investigative reporting to any local stations really. The app itself is improving though slowly.
After multiple tips on terrorism and destruction of loggers equipment in st louis co. You never followed up and sadly didn’t even report on it! Guessing because it was naitive american echo terrorists. You are a sad news organization for this blatant ommission!
Why was a picture of a police shield rather than a picture of the perpetrator against the WCCO reporter shown on the 5pm news show? If public help is requested in identifying the person, not showing his picture certainly doesn’t help at all!!!
This app keeps me aware of all my local new's events as they happen. It gives me quick and easy access to written reports with direct links to the actual broadcasted story. Weather is reported with great accuracy and they keep me informed of any severe weather in my area ahead of TWC's weather app. Their live radar is more accurate, too, with greater detail. I'd tell anyone living near Duluth, MN to install this app! You won't be disappointed. My only complaint is the ads becoming more invasive. Often I'll go to click for story details and find an ad where the story was a moment before.
I've been waiting for "The Northland's News Leader" to have an app available on Smartphones and it's finally happened! I just installed this app this morning and I've checked it frequently throughout the day. Nice layout and easy to navigate. I especially like the video weather and how often this app is updated throughout the day. THANK YOU! Keep up the great work, WDIO is the only local news I'll watch.
This app is easy to use and very informational! Wherever i am at it takes just a second to tell me the local forecast and sends me storm warnings. At the same time i am always able to watch my local news when i am not home or miss it!!
This app is very useful. My only complaint and the only reason i gave this 4 stars is that when there is a severe weather message you can't read the entire thing because of an advertisement that you can't get rid of across the bottom. If you could get rid of that it would be great!
Great app, found out school was closed for my son, more on news stories and watch some news videos over and over to get the hole story on my time where ever I am whenever I need it or want it.
Agree with mjfrogg on the search engine--that would be great. I find it hard to find a simple written forecast. A simple one click written forecast would make it simple
Very nice app, polished and professional. All the things I want right at my fingertips. I like that the weather center is right on top, and the forecast for my home town is right on the main screen. Easy to navigate and find the things I want. Great job.
Excellent app it's great to be able to look at what's going on around the range when I'm out of town and can't watch the local news. It's nice to have the app for all of the up to date info that's going on. Great job very organized
Organization is huge and this app definitely has it. The stories are updated constantly, and the video is attached to each of them, which is a plus. Way to go!
Use the app all the time - gives good information obout the news and weather. I also like the professionalism and personalities of the News, Weather & sports announcers.
If you live in or near the Twin-ports, this is a must. Only reason for the 4 stars is the video weather forecast that at times will have a very annoying video ad before it, and causes problems transitioning to the weather forecast video after the ad is done playing.
I love this app! It is super easy to navigate and has all the important news right at your fingertips. I live out of town so it's a great way to stay in touch with what's going on back home:)
WDIO made this app the right way. It obviously has the same format as the St Paul Pioneer Press app. Way easier to navigate than a few others. I especially enjoy being able to go back a ways in "This Week in Mining".
Up to date news, easy intuitive format, good layout, easy to read (i.e., not choked up with too many ads), and good local regional and national news coverage.
I don't even watch the TV news anymore. I get all of the stories & video clips of news I want on this app. Great source for school closings and local sports coverage too.
Perfect for checking news, weather, and school closings. If you live in the Northland and want to keep up to date on what's happening, this is a must have app!
It's a great little app. However, there are times when I go to click on an article and suddenly an ad pops into the placement of the article and I'm being sent on my merry way to the App Store or a web site. Don't pull these childish tricks and I may recommend your app to everyone.

Great for emergency notices and the school closings are ur fingertip. When you want it and when you need to know local news that's informative and fast.
