Hi, I personally watch only Channel 7 for news and weather!! I love Fred Cunningham, Jack Roper, Christy Henderson but, I absolutely adore Amy Wood!!!! She makes the news more interesting, and somewhat comical with her behind the scene antics😂😂😂. Overall, I sincerely think that News Channel 7 is the best!!! Keep on Keeping on 🌹🏆
I’ll give instances where the app has update issues When hurricane Dorian was tracking to SC coast SPA hurricane news was all about Michael from a year ago. Throughout Nexstar negotiations with Directv updates on situation were missed. I did not see SPA post anything about when it back on Directv nor statements welcoming viewers back Last your “news” posts are sometimes days or weeks old on national items.
Most of the time I love the app, but have some issues that need to be worked on! A lot the time it goes off when reading a story! Love News Channel 7 but really do not like the split news screen with Amy being in Greenville! I like it better with the News team being together! One thing I don't like is you have more news for Greenville instead of Spartanburg! I live in Spartanburg and want to know what's happening here not Greenville!
This used to be the only news app I used. Over the last six to eight months, it either crashes, freezes up, or it returns me to the first article while I’m just reading the titles of articles. I now have to rely on the two other news stations to get my news and hope they talk about the weather and news stories that are relevant to my county. Before you ask, yes, my app is up to date and automatically updates when a new version/update becomes available. Please fix your app.
Unlike WYFF, you are not forced to constantly watch loud annoying ads. The news is more up-to-date. I don’t know why it took me so long to discover this. I deleted WYFF and switched to this app.

Thank you for sharing this on your station yesterday. To my knowledge, WYFF didn’t show up. They are a few doors down from Gateway. I do not find a way to reach them, but I am very ashamed of them.
I enjoy receiving the news via the app but your reporting is sometimes sub par. A lot of your articles contain horrible grammatical errors and multiple misspellings. Is there no proofreading process? It is painfully obvious that you folks are in love with Clemson and you seem unable to realize that there are other teams that contribute locally. Furman is a pillar in the Greenville community and the Upstate has a large number of fans for The University of South Carolina, too. You asked.
I do like this app. but the app. is driving me crazy it pops up with the same story and it just like what you read three minutes ago. If it’s going to pop up at least have more to say that we will let you know when more is available
I’m not always able to catch the news. Channel 7 app keeps me with updates via notifications... and I love how QUICK they are at delivering the “NOW” news.
Top notch during the week. Christie is still the best on the weather. Weekend drops off a bit, they are not as experienced as their weekday counterparts. But show promise.
What is going on with this newest update? Extremely irritating, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the app before the update. Now it started crashing when I clicked on “weather” and has progressively gotten worse to crashing as soon as I open the app. I have emailed regarding this already. PLEASE fix 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
The glitches and freezing up of the app are almost too much to bear sometimes. That coupled with the grammatical errors that are allowed make me want to delete the app and get my news elsewhere.
My phone constantly locks up when I click on one of their stories to read. Too many commercials trying to sell you something running at the same time. This is the only app that I have this problem with, please fix. Thanks
For the last few weeks, the WSPA app has crashed every time it’s opened - read half of one article, then it freezes and has to be restarted. As for substance, most subjects are glossed ove in a couple of short paragraphs, with little real info. It seems that WSPA doesn’t cate to put much effort into their mobile online presence.
This is the most unstable app I have ever used. I never manage to get through the entire news content without it freezing and/or shutting down. It’s been a problem for a couple of years but has gotten worse recently despite the fact that both the app version and my O/S are up-to-date.
Personally Channel 7 is the only place I get my local news and it’s disheartening that EVERY time I access the app it freezes and I need to close and restart the app. I have deleted and reinstalled with no change. PLEASE!!! Fix your app.
Love looking at my local news on my phone but this app freezes up EVERY TIME I use it. It’s become unbearable. I can hardly look at two stories before the thing just stops working. I’m deleting the app. Please fix this issue.
I downloaded the free app to stay abreast of local news and issues, but it constantly freezes up to the point or it is not useful at all. Will be deleting this app and seeking another local news app that actually works!
Unresponsive and boring ads that will not respond to scroll instructions. I will be deleting this app for one that does not force me to look at a 2 week old ad for over a minute or more and will not scroll out of the way as the instructions imply
Too many advertisements. It’s absolutely ridiculous to watch an ad for a car dealership before seeing a report about the loss of a life. Extremely distasteful.
I have the iPhone 11 and for some reason this app keeps freezing up and shutting off. I can be in the middle of reading a story and the app will just shut off or freeze up.
This app is so sorry. Keeps freezing up and have called channel 7 about it and they tell me it’s my phone. Funny thing nothing else freezes on my phone. Go figure.
Cannot get past the weather “set up Location” screen. Sad because I prefer channel 7, but app is unusable now. Have used the app for years, but now it’s unusable.
WSPA forced me to update my app in order to get news. Then, even though I declined push notifications, I began getting noisy audible pop-up ads that disturbed me and others around me. Horrible app.
Not a stable app. Constantly crashes though WSPA is where I go for the latest news. Happy with the content when I can read it or on TV, but the app needs work.
I don’t care for the update on the weather outline, I preferred the older one. I would like to see the percentage of precipitation that isn’t on a chart
