I am new to yoga. I started last year and had to pause my membership for 6 months due to injuries and illness. I’m back at it. I’ve done 3 classes and often have to adjust my poses. I feel supported and welcomed as they say to me….”do what feels comfortable for you. This is your practice and your time. Thank you for being here!”. I do love the instructors, but I have to admit…Alison H is my favorite! She has taught me a lot in just 2 classes…how to breathe through the flow and the purpose of the pose. And love her intention cards that she starts the class with!
I second everything the last reviewer shared. I have attended over 400 classes and reached the Y6 Warrior status for this, however my original home studio closed down. I have been an unlimited member for 3 years now, and apparently all of my classes were connected to the South Loop Chicago location which no longer exists, even though I have been attending classes at a new studio in Hyde Park for the past two years. I logged out and back into the app today, and suddenly it says I've attended two classes and does not recognize I have a membership at my new home studio in Hyde Park. The app won't let me register for a class at my home studio. The app should offer a way to merge data and track your total number of Y6 classes regardless of which studio location you attend. Please help fix this bug because other than this, Y6 Chicago is the best place!
The instructor and the class I attended was great. The studio was clean and nice. However, due to my schedule I am unable to attend classes in person unfortunately. It’s nice and easy to purchase subscriptions in the app but good luck figuring out how to cancel them. After paying 3 months for classes I can’t attend I finally decided to just delete my account in the app as there was no cancel subscription anywhere to be found. That was 1 month ago and they just billed me again. I don’t care what they say it does not take 30 days to fully delete my account and stop billing me because it sure only took them a few seconds to create my account and bill my card for the subscription. This is all likely part of some customer retention policy that is very annoying.
Recent update no longer saves studios selected previously for booking besides home studio and got rid of filters besides teacher. I do a lot of virtual classes and previously was able to have unlimited studios selected and saved for booking and was able to filter by virtual. Now I would have to manually enter each studio each time I open the app and scroll to find virtually it would take me up to 30mins just to find a class. If this isn’t fixed soon I will sadly have to leave yogasix, this is not something I want to do as I love it but if booking is now this difficult it’s not worth it to me anymore. Also to mention I’ve been a member for almost two years with almost 250 classes taken and am out of town often which is why I do a lot of virtual. Am I the only one with this issue?
On this Easter Sunday, I am grateful for many things. Among them is the kind and professional manner in which Yoga Six has operated over the many years I’ve practiced (off and on) at their studios. I’ve seen instructors come and go and, without exception, they are always excellent and kind and loving people. I believe it is just the culture that delivers this consistency. they sure make it easy to want to come there. Thank you to all the Yoga Six family!
When my wife and I moved to the area we were looking for a yoga studio and tried a few in the area. Every time we walked into YogaSix we were greeted as if we were part of the family. We started doing more classes and yoga is now part of our daily routine 6 days a week at YogaSix. We love the variety that each teacher brings and feel a deep connection to each one. The app works well, but it would be nice to be able to shut off the unnecessary promotional notifications, seeing as I've already got a full unlimited pass. I don't need to be sold something I already have. There's options for other, more functional notifications in the app, but not the promotional ones. I don't want to have to turn all Y6 notifications off entirely through my phone, but I will.
This location has a great variety of classes for all levels. Since I’m new at yoga, I have appreciated having several different beginner-type classes. The instructors are well-informed, love what they do, and make me feel comfortable with their verbal commands on how I can adjust to my level. The front desk staff employees are super friendly and greet me by name when I come through the door. It’s a great place!
YogaSix changed my life! After many injuries and surgeries I never thought my body would move with the ease and grace it once did when I was younger. All the Y6 instructors lead by example, showing all the benefits yoga can bring to your life. As an active person, working out and training Jiu Jitsu, my body was begging me to do yoga. Yoga Six offers this much needed practice, and hired amazing instructors, Annabelle and Kiiantay, whose guidance and instructions make the flows possible for someone like me to follow. Thursday nights at 7:00pm (Restore) and Saturday mornings 10:30am (Slow Flow) will be permanent times slots for my self care.
Though the Yogasix studio portion has a learning curve, its ok. I had issues with it not syncing to my calendar but a delete/reinstall fixed it. My main issue for now is the Go feature. I am trying to do one of the meditations, and it keeps shutting off. It seems to do it when my phone automatically locks. I cant turn off passcode in order to keep my Apple Wallet and some work apps requiring security. But Ive not had issues with this and other apps, including Daily Calm. To have to constant open it back is completely counterintuitive to the purpose.
This review is specifically about the App not the classes. My biggest complaint is that there’s no way on the app to see the list of classes you’ve signed up for. You can only see the classes on a day by day view. I want to share my plan for the week with a friend, and the only way to get that view is on the website. My second issue is that the watch app doesn’t refresh frequently and there’s no way to push a refresh. So if you didn’t sign up for a class 48 hours before, it’s very unlikely the watch app will have updated to give you the option to track it. My last issue is there’s no way to see your charges/billing history on the app. You have to go to the website.
App is okay but doesn’t track the number of classes I’ve completed correctly. For instance, this month is a yoga challenge and we need to complete 20 classes. I signed up the first day (9/1) and have completed 18 classes this month but the app says I've only completed 15 for the challenge. Where is the disconnect? The app also doesn’t get updated if there is a teacher change to the schedule.
I signed up my daughter and I to try out Yoga6 and it were the most amazing experience!!! Leaving us feeling welcomed and cared for. The trainer and front desk, Nikki was so sweet patient and helpful! The entire bill experience left us wanting more and of course we both enrolled! Can’t wait to go back. Thank you
I’m 64 and have tried evvvvvvvv-er-eeeeee thing!!! Nothing ever lasted!!! I would ever injure myself, get bored with it, not see any benefits, etc. I joined Yoga6 in December 2023 and I am so grateful to say I have F-I-N-A-L-L-Y found by thing!!! YOGA!!! I attend 4-5 days a week when I’m home and when I’m not, I miss my classes!!! Thank you Yoga6 for everything you do for ME!!! Sincerely, S
I love Yoga 6 at Des Peres Amber is so kind, respectful, caring and thoughtful. I truly appreciate her Professoinal help as well. Everyone at this studio is very skilled, cool, kind and helpful. The phone app is fine. Everything I want to do from my phone is available and easy to use. The watch app is a nice touch but really needs some polish. The watch app is not a complication which means it cannot be set to launch directly from a watch face. This is an annoyance and easily rectified with minimal development effort. This one thing really holds the app back. I hope the team fixes it soon.
I’ve just started attending. Went to a class many weeks ago and then because of family obligations and work I’ve not been lately. Decided to attend Christine’s class today. It was exactly what I needed. Such a release from the class I almost cried at the end. I’m hooked.
The staff at YogaSix gives an amazing experience from the 1st point of contact to the check in, where the staff calls each client by name through to the class where the teacher makes each student feel welcome and strong in their practice 💜
Wonderful new studio with a great variety of classes, and a welcoming staff for all levels of yoga experience. Can’t wait to come back! Come early and book in advance (esp on weekend restore classes) as space fills up. Thank you Yoga6 staff.
I have never done hot yoga before but it is awesome! And it’s not just yoga they offer but tabata type classes too. They have several instructors that bring their own flare to each workout. Also, the staff is so nice. I just finished my week trial and decided to sign-up.
I really liked this app until it stopped working. It does not track my progress anymore. I’m unable to “start” the timer/tracker for my classes. It starts, but the data stays at zero. I now use the Apple fitness app instead. In addition, it doesn’t allow check in either. Is there an update? I haven’t received an alert letting me know.
Love the new location and enjoyed the hot Yoga class.
The new location is clean and spotless. The staff is so welcoming and helpful in signing you up for classes. They have the best alkaline water. I really enjoyed my first free class, the instructor was great. Can’t say enough great things about this Yoga6 location😀
Love this place.. thought I wasn’t a Yoga person until coming here. I tried other places and only saw and felt the pretentiousness. Not here. It’s all about the yoga and learning to connect with yourself. Simply wonderful!!!
I went with my friends to my first hot yoga class. I wasn’t sure how I would do since I don’t like to be too hot, but it was not bad and the heat made it easier to stretch. I felt really good afterwards and very relaxed.
I'm not what I would call a yoga-minded person, but I've really enjoyed this. The variety of available classes and the schedule make it real convenient. Glad I gave it a try!
In hard times, this is one of the best experiences needed to get past it. This studio understands where you’re coming from and the class Will help you.
I love this company, and the app! The seamless syncing between their website, the app, and my calendar, has made it easy for me to keep up to date with classes and bring my yoga practice to the next level!
The only and I mean ONLY last feature to add for this app is an Apple Watch complication that I can add to the face of my Apple Watch. Would be so convenient to quickly access/track my workout right before class. Please add!

This was my first class. The instructor was great & provided options & medications. The warm room made the class enjoyable. Music was peaceful & calming. I look forward to my next class. PS: Very clean locker rooms & bathrooms!!

I just joined for a one month trial and I’m loving it! My barre studio recently closed, so looking for some new options. Yoga Six thus far is hitting the mark! Love the classes I’ve taken this far.
Would love to see if you can make the add to calendar work. When I click on add to calendar it just doesn’t do anything. Nothing is added to my calendar either.

1. No option to delete one’s credit card 2. On the app, there is no option to edit the card holder’s name. It automatically puts your account name on default. 3. So many bugs trying to buy a membership 4. Can’t find anywhere to delete the account 5. No option to change your memebership on the app -> need to call the studio -> the studio is closed due to covid -> need to cancel via email which takes time MEH bad UI/UX with no shady intention on app’s features is better than this app’s good UI/UX with shady features BUT I LOVE THE CLASSES HERE I JUST HATE THE APP
