I took this course to dismiss a ticket. If you’re like me and have almost no time to schedule an in person class for 6 hrs, I would try this class! The course can be paused at your convenience and begin when you left it. There’s memes throughout the entire program along with the optional read-along voiceover Robot Ace! But be prepared and pay attention! Know that there are pop quizzes during chapters, questions after videos (you have to rewatch if answer is incorrect),4 question tests after all 11 chapters, and security pop ups along the way. The state of Texas requires the course to be 6 hours long so the pages are timed and cannot be bypassed, but still very helpful! The material overall is engaging, straightforward, and pretty easy if you’re paying attention. When finished with the course, it’ll prompt you with the option of a drivers record. Mine took admittedly longer than the initial two days to send to my e-mail, however, with customer support, I was able to receive my record on time. The support team is understanding, responsive, and quick! I don’t wish to have to receive another ticket, but if I did, this course would definitely be my pick! As it should be yours too!
***bought the course online and logged into the app; I did not sign up through the app*** Used Aceable DD the first time in 2020, now I’m using it again. Didn’t even bother to look for others. 55 bucks for the course, immediate cert delivery & driving history for the court. It does ask if you want the $5/mo RSA thing but didn’t want it. Give Aceable Agent a shot as well if you’re considering real estate. I got my TX license for cheaper than other places since I had a coupon. Of course it’s a career path; learn all about what real estate entails and what potential starting costs you’ll have. Also if you learn better in-person then go for it. Just know that AceableAgent is a way to get your license at your own pace and have proctors that monitor your final tests after each course (6 total). I’m not paid by Aceable in any way. Just appreciative that the DD & RE courses aren’t straight up legal jargon and lawyer language.
I recently completed the defensive driving course. I used the web version as well as their app in my spare time. It was very easy to use, no bugs or “lagging” like in other courses I’ve taken online. They make it a little bit funny so you don’t get bored with it. Also, their customer service is excellent. I called to expedite the shipment of my certificate and they answered very nicely and fulfilled my request as promised. I recommend this course to anyone that wants to dismiss a traffic ticket. It’s in the list of courses approved by the court.
Took defensive driving. Worked fine as advertised. Like you, I chose Aceable bc of good reviews on speed and usability. That part is true. Also true is a hidden and not disclosed $5/mo charge to my card for “roadside assistance”. I have no communication from Aceable about this service or how to use it. I get roadside assistance with my car purchase already and again with AAA and credit cards. I would never knowingly pay Aceable $5 for this service. A total scam where they are secretly billing user cards after defensive driving classes. What seemed lower cost to start cost me another $25 before I caught on to the scam. UPDATE:: April 2022. After cancelling this service in 2021 they have started charging me again in 2022. It is impossible to cancel this service. The website and app do not allow you to see the subscription to roadside assistance or cancel it. Calls go to a SMS bot that does not work. Emails to roadside@ are not responded to.
While it was nice to be able to take the course on my phone, it was very buggy, and I’ve yet to get a reply from customer service regarding being overcharged. Cons- Multiple times there were multiple choice questions with the same answer repeated twice. The jokes were insultingly unfunny at times. Also, I was literally cringing by the end at how many times they tried to insert their name into the course using humor or references to good “Aceable” drivers. I felt like it was in appropriate how many times the narrator would insult people or former bad decisions that had been made. It should be an education and not commentary on the writers personal opinions, even when it’s the popular opinion. I chose this app based on reviews and cost. It claimed to be $25, but yet I was charged $40. I didn’t see a phone number to call, so I was forced to email. It’s been four days and I still haven’t received a reply. I’m going to contact the BBB if I don’t hear back soon. Pros It was easy to jump in and out on the app. It kept my place and I could fit a few minutes in here and there throughout the day. It feels like the app is a work in progress, and it’s not polished yet. Fix all the errors, rethink a few sections, get a real customer service, and refund the money you stole from me!
If you’re like me and you f-ed up and got a ticket for not paying attention. This is the best place to go. It was a super easy sign-up real cheap can’t beat $20, and I was able to use an Apple Gift Card to pay for it. They really break it down, it looks daunting, but you feel good about completing each chapter and level. I knocked it out in one afternoon, took about 5 hours (I read fast). They file for you and everything. Highly Recommended! to anyone who messed up and needs to get a ticket forgiven.
I am the worlds worst procrastinator- I waited until the absolute last minute to complete the course- I had read about the expedited shipping and had submitted my payment minutes too late (still after knowing this time window 😳🙁). I contacted their customer service and they went above and beyond to get my certificate in the mail so it could reach me in time! My husband how’s no idea how I was able to swing this as it was due today to the court- let’s just say he believes in miracles now 😏
I am taking traffic school because I got a speeding ticket. I wanted a quick, efficient Online School that would allow me to progress through my course on my own time, and with either my laptop or mobile device. This was the Traffic School for me. Their website and iOS app are fantastic. Not at all jankey. And my place is always saved regardless of where I log in to do some work. Thanks Aceable!
There isn’t much to say Aceable is great! You go over multiple chapters for each level and then you take a 4 question test...you keep doing that until your done. The way that they present the information easy sticks. And they make it to where you won’t really forget unless your not paying attention. I currently as of this review have not finished but I would take Aceable again for sure! Hopefully I won’t have too. Lol
I read some reviews about how Aceable was the only defensive driving service that provided an actual app. It’s easy to use and it picks up right where you left off using their online service. The only issue is that there is a lot more reading versus other options that may provide more videos.
Video and text versions were current and served me fairly well but I saw in several places that I should have been able to see the timer on each page and I was not able to see the timer on any page. I tried the online version with my pc. I tried the mobile app on my IPhone XS and on the IPad app using the current version 12.1 IOS. It bugged me that I had to just keep trying to swipe over and over waiting for the time to be up.
This is the most entertaining and adaptive defensive driving course that I’ve taken; it is made for various platforms, I.e. cell phone, tablet or computer, and keeps track of your progress so that you can easily transition. It also personalizes the content, addresses you by name and presents humorous anecdotes and situations. Anything BUT boring, you can power through the lessons without getting bored.
I purchased one of their services around the age of 16 but I never got around to getting my license. I turn 18 in a month and am aiming to get my license as an adult but I didn’t want to pay twice to get the adult version being that I never actually used the minor one. I emailed them and with no questions the person who worked with me gave me the adult package free of charge. Amazing!
Works smoothly. Know what you’re getting into: you must swipe every 30 seconds for 6 hours, and closely note every fact and figure for the endless mini quizzes, in addition to answering the same question about your phone number 20 times to verify your ID, then answer 3/4 questions correctly at each of the 11 modules to pass. This is an experience designed to make ABSOLUTELY SURE you never get a ticket again. Want something less intense? Take the in person class.
Man this is so much better than sitting in a class for an entire Saturday. You have to be disciplined though, because it’s up to you to do the class work during your free time instead of watching the ‘ol idiot box. I did this in 10-30 minute chunks over the course of two months-ez freakin breezy. I then received the certificate in the mail, and then sent it off to Johnny law. Done.
I was getting a ticket dismissed. This app allowed me to move at my own pace with no big test at the end, just questions along the way. I was able to break it into whatever chunks worked for me and even had the thing narrate so I could just zone out and listen. 5 stars. Highly recommend.
The course was well organized and clear. I did not have any issues with the app, pausing in order to take breaks. The certificate was emailed immediately following the course. If you are looking to dismiss a ticket, or save some money on your automobile insurance, this is definitely the easiest way to get those things done.
Best way to do defensive driving. Easy to swipe through on your phone, so you can do it on your own pace and on the go. We spend so much time with our phones in our hands anyways so it makes it easy! Has some good information and really encourages you to be a safe driver. Fantastic customer service too. Highly recommend
Honestly when I began taking this I thought that this would be a drag. I’m enjoying this - the sections are easy to understand and the commentator is pretty funny. If I ever have to take Defensive Driving again I’d definitely do it with Ace again. If you’re looking for Defensive Driving, use this app. I promise it’s well worth it!
The app over all is excellent. Support department has some basic communication and etiquette issues. Not helpful and makes it hard for you to get information you need. Not sure how she was chosen to work for them. It was easier just to call. Their phone support was kind and helpful. I guess I was wrong because I initially thought that it would be easier just to ask via chat. Was I wrong!
I am still on chapter 6 but I love the fact that I can do it on my phone via the app. I can take multiple breaks and come back to resume from where I left off. This makes my progress much more enjoyable. As I can adjust to other tasks throughout my day. Great job Aceable! Ah! They make it very fun to read as well!
Very thorough but definitely takes more than 6 hours
This teaches you things very clearly but if you want to get it done soon this is not the one you are looking for. They even trick you by showing the progress for the first few slides go by fast but as soon as you past 20% of it takes ages to complete even 1%. How hard changing a tire can be? They made a whole chapter about changing a flat tire that takes up an hour. I wish I had just paid the ticket and be done with than sitting through this nightmare of a course.
They will lie from the beginning. A waste of time.
They will lie at every opportunity to up sell you. Go with a company that has taken the time to get the approval to email certificates directly to the court. They will lie and mislead you into believing all company’s have to mail them. The app is glitchy and time consuming. The info is basic redundant and some of it is just laughably inaccurate. I’m out ver 50 dollars now and have no useful knowledge to walk away with. One star is just too much. Seemed like a goo option but don’t waste the time. Other better choices.
I found aceable’s App allowed me to complete the course whenever I was available which made getting the course done a much easier thing to do. I highly recommend this app to anyone who has a very busy life.
This course takes so much more than 6 hours. All the way through they say contact tech support if you have any issues with the testing in the app. After I had done the last test the app was crashing. I spent at least 8 hours watching and taking videos. No one was their to help with tech support. I open and closed the app several times and it finally worked. Find an app that works and you don’t have to use tech support for basic functionality because 8 hours of your time is a long time. The videos are very emotional in the last chapter. It’s very heavy handed to wake up people who drink and drive or do drugs and drive. It gets offensive. Not everyone is careless and needs the beat down. It got creepy. Oh, it’s been over 10 days and I haven’t gotten my certificate in the mail. I guess I have to call support!
I recently finished Defensive Driving with Aceable and I can’t recommend it enough. It was affordable and best of all easy to use. I could do a chapter on my phone when I had time, stop when needed, and come back to the same spot later. Highly recommended!
This is an excellent app to help you stay focused on the content. I initially thought that I could get through the class by not giving my full attention and just keep clicking through the chapters but you have to pay attention. It is entertaining by the way.
I have used Aceable for multiple things, my drivers license, real estate and now defensive driving. The courses are not mono toned or boring, being able to listen to this robot who is funny and makes it entertaining! I would recommend Aceable to anyone!
Not worth it as a defensive driving option. I wish I had just gone to a DD class or taken the probation option. Endless swipes and questions that all must answered correctly to continue, assessments, another type of quiz is 3 of 4 to pass. Put it this way, DD classes are laid back and easy, sometimes they have pizza. The app version is like judge is sitting right there with you takin the course. Best case scenario, it takes 6 hrs, but it will take longer. The design is good, this method to resolve a ticket is not a good choice.
Being able to stop and start at your leisure without having to retread the same ground each time is wonderfully convenient. The only thing better is not having to take it in the first place, but fools like me never learn.
Content is presented in a fun manner and easy to understand, however, the app keeps glitching every time it gets to a video. Whether it struggles to start, stops mid video, or doesn’t register that the video has played (meaning you have to start the ordeal over again)... super frustrating. Probably have wasted over an hour on the video glitches themselves and I’m only half way through the course.
Aceable is a family friend and has been along through my Journey and my little brothers’ journey, and I can’t wait for my other little brothers to be taught and led by Aceable when their times come too
Traffic school is brutal no matter how you cut it, but Aceable is very user friendly, informative, and even has humor throughout the course. Highly recommend! Although I hope I never have to use them again, for obvious reasons 😬

Don’t even think about paying to have your paperwork overnighted. They claim to ship it out then next day but it took me 4 days to get my paperwork when I’m only 2 hours away from them. Don’t waste your $60
Been riding dirty for 5 years, didn’t wanna sit in a class & a bunch of other online classes were stressful to get through & LOOONNNNNG ‼️but Aceable was the best way to go for me now I’m happy to say I finally got my drivers license 🙏🏿‼️
Press the wrong verification question about me on accident and it makes me fill out my information again. When it gets to the driver license information, it becomes a piece of garbage and doesn’t let me press “Save”. I have the information filled out and just stuck and can’t complete the last chapter of this dumb app. Not even doing this for a ticket, waste of time.
Been trying to get app to open for hours & get help from their support desk. No progress. They don’t care about making sure it works right. I choose Aceable so I could do the program from my phone. Now I’m screwed. Have to do everything from my PC. UPDATE: I am a valid user. I don’t publish my name in these public forums. Your company issued a partial refund since they could not resolve the problem with your app & the iphone7plus.
Short review. It was easy and quick enough. I did at my own pace between my phone and my iPad. Had no problems whatsoever. Ticket case closed shortly after I submitted my completion.
I have used several other online courses and Aceable has been the best. It was very easy to use and they made it interesting. They prepared you well for the exams. I highly recommend Aceable!
This is a very convenient avenue to not only get a tune-up on your safety and Mechanical awareness, but as well polishing up on your base knowledge a a vehicle operator and above all a great way to remend the points against your freedom and privilege to drive!
Great set up and delivery of information. Love the little pop up quizzes to keep my brain alert. I also love how friendly and entertaining it is vs. being sterile and intimidating.
Good to decouple the computer and the course. Makes it very convenient for something nobody likes doing. Dat robot cute doe. The course was so easy that my brain still felt as strong as Hulk Hogan when I finished.
Don’t bother trying to use it for Harris County in Tx
If you want to dismiss a ticket, you have to select a court. All the other counties I tried would pull up the specific courts, except Harris. It just does the thinking wheel then does nothing. The help section is a white screen with nothing on it. I used to love this app, but it doesn’t work the way it used to.
Everyone taking this is at least 16 I’m sure I don’t understand why it talks to you in such an annoying voice I just muted the volume and read it instead maybe you could add an option without all the cringe jokes
