Every time I try to log in, it takes forever. I can’t check on my child’s grades/progress anywhere else but when I’m at home. I have had this app for over five years and have never had this problem until last year. It would be nice if the schools could create something of their own because this is not working for me anymore!!!!
I have been using this system for 5 years. I have had the same password and login for 5 years. My husband tried to login and now the account is locked and I have no way to reset it because there is no contact number to call and my only option is to click "forgot password" which I do and I get an error message, on two different devices. I had to google the company just to try and get someone to call and, go figure, they are closed. Very frustrating! They should be doing much better for being a tech company.
This app could be so much better if it functioned as an app. Right now it is just another version of the website. It is basically a tiny website. They had so many opportunities to make it better and more user friendly. Unfortunately they were not thinking about their audience.
This new update is absolutely terrible. There was nothing wrong with the active parent app until they decided to change it. You cannot access anything from the app other than the basic demographic info, contact info, & aim messages. That is it. If you access the website from your phone it keeps redirecting you to the same crap you get on the app. This needs to be changed ASAP.
I loved Active Parent before the upgrade. Now it is TERRIBLE… takes forever to get to schedule n grades and then the fonts are so small it is hard to see. If you go back to check on something else… guess what?? … you have to select your school… log in and then go back to search through the tiny print. Not well thought out. Should be called “Frustrated parent” now.
I was excited to get an app, and I do like the Touch ID to login. But I will not use this app because it is too difficult to see the daily grades for each subject. You have to click way too many times. I will just use the website until they make it more user friendly.
Over the summer this “app” supposedly updated & I got signed out & couldn’t sign back in. The school secretary reset my account today & when I logged in, I’m confused as to if this is an app or just the website??? It wasn’t great before but it’s really bad now. Won’t stay logged in, no Face ID anymore, everything is tiny & hard to find.
The 2.0 update makes this app much less phone friendly. The app now displays the website, but the website doesn’t use responsive design. Basically this app is now just a desktop sized web browser for the ActiveParent website. It’s just a major step-back in terms of app design.
This app is not user friendly and the only reason I have download it now is because they quit sending report cards home so I have to use it. My kids just let me look at their active student.
When I first downloaded this app it worked great but now since the new update, I can not open it. It opens up to the screen with the kids name on it and that’s it. I can’t move forward from there and the messages the school is sending I can get to it.
This is the first time I’ve ever used this app and I find it totally useless. I need to reset my password and there is absolutely no way possible that I can find outside of going to another school district. This app needs major improvement. I wouldn’t even give it one star but it makes you in order to post this review.
How is it that now that we, the parents, aren’t given a copy of our child’s syllabus, and we don’t hear anything from the school until it’s too late… that our only way to remotely track our child’s progress, has been made useless? Almost seems as if this was the intent. FIX THIS… NOW.
Have used this app for years. I’ve always had the same user name and password. Now I’m locked out and there is no reset password option. When I try and set up a new account it tells me one already exists. And to reset password. There is no reset password button!!
Never had a problem before with this app till a couple of months ago I try to open but it keeps crashing and now it won’t even let me put password in before it’s already out of the app.. Frustrating
The updated logo is cool. Everything else is somehow worse after the update. The developers obviously have no concept of using this on your phone. The grades are tiny. I’m forced to use this app. I’ll be more excited to delete this app than my son graduating high school in 6 years.
Glad to see an app for Active Parent, love the Touch ID login. Switching between classes when checking daily grades is cumbersome, requiring the user to go back 2 menus to switch classes. Will stick with the website until the app is updated.
What is the point of having an app that just takes you to a website? The old version had Face ID and I have to put in a user name and password every time. Not user friendly..bring back the old.
What’s the point of an app if it redirects you to website? Updated version will not remember password and doesn’t work for facial recognition. You might as well delete the app and go straight to the website.
This app update is the worst. There was no problem with the previous version. Now it just redirects you to the desktop version. It took me forever to locate the grades. Not iPhone friendly at all. I hate it so much.
Trying to register my kids for school is so time consuming and stressful. I called the school and it still didn’t work. It should be way better to do all things pertaining to school.
I do not like the new update. I cannot access anything on the app and it automatically redirects me to the website. I can’t find anything. And am forever having to log back in. Hate it
The app used to be much more user friendly before the most recent version. I wish it still had the option to use Face ID for login or at least the option to remember the username and password. Everything is so small and hard to see. It was much easier to use in the past. I do not like the new format.
