Please note before you waste your money!!
Most reviews talk about the horrid bugs and prices but I want to let people and the devs all the terrible quality's. First of all theres no profiles, yeah you can’t make or have your own profile just imagine the rage and difficulty when you got 6 people in one house wanting to watch the same show at different times and god forbid you forget to write or remember your place because when someone else goes the watch the show you have been bingeing you lost your place and have to manually go and find your place next time. Second there is not option for “remove from continue watching” or that sort and that believe it or not comes with struggle matter of fact when it comes to options with amc+ service that aren’t a-lot and I’m not talking about show or movies that ain't the bad but its like they tried to be simple and different and they failed miserably. Those are my main complaints but what really matters is 90% of amc+ users not only leave after a short period not only have way to many bugs not only struggle bad when its for the family but have been complaining and trying to get this changed and their thoughts heard for over 2 years it’s ridiculous its almost like they gave up and just take the new peoples money bc they advertise it well it make you think do they actually care about their users and their experience or just the money when its comes down to it definitely upset and frustrated.

Excellent streaming choice!
I have no clue why this app only carries a 1.4 rating. It has just about everything that the other services have. A bonus is that it is plumb affordable compared to some of the others. It might not have individual profiles, that can’t be worth a degrading 1.4!! How hard can it be to share a service with your family members without individual profiles? It’s not! I can EASILY recognize the shows that I’ve added to the “My List”. I can also tell which ones must have been added by my wife or kids. Just because your wife’s choice of a show has been saved, that doesn’t mean that you have to watch it before you can get to a show that you saved. I installed AMC+ app on my Apple TV 4K box and registered directly through it. I selected their annual “Ad-Free” plan, of course! I read complaints from other users complaining about having to watch ads despite paying for Ad-Free. Apparently AMC+ is their very first streaming service that features “Livestream”. That’s the only way they’d be seeing ads. I have other streaming services with “Livestreams” and those apps ALSO have ads during those broadcasts. This whole app has bad reviews from all the same people that use Yelp to leave bad restraunt reviews. If you don’t have anything good to say, say nothing at all. If you aren’t electronic savvy, why do you have a phone and TV that are smarter than you?!?!

Read this if you don’t know how to cancel subscription
I’m only rating 5 stars because I hope people will see this (for whatever reason my 1 stars on the App Store never get posted. Go figure). Firstly, I absolutely cannot stand any service that requires me to cancel my subscription OUTSIDE of the app. That’s so scummy and unnecessary and I think these services do this to deter people from going through the effort or in an effort to confuse people who may not know how to do so. I signed up for a free 1 week trial and cancelled on the last day because I couldn’t find anything I was interested in watching. I don’t remember my payment method (I think it was my CC) but I had to go to the AMCplus website on my desktop in order to cancel. It might be possible to do through the site on your phone but you have to use a browser and not the app. Sign in and go to the subscription tab to cancel and at the end verify “yes, cancel”. Also take a screenshot once cancellation is complete in case you are still charged despite canceling before the billing period because I’ve heard some people have still been charged. So have proof on hand. AMC, I might’ve kept my subscription if any content peaked my interest but even if that happens I won’t be subscribing to any service that doesn’t allow cancellation in the app.

I never write reviews but this deemed itself worthy
This is the worst streaming app I have ever seen or used. It is nonsensical. Here is a list of all of the issues I have encountered in less than 24 hours of use: • You cannot change the orientation of the show you are watching. • You have to restart whatever you are watching anytime you exit the application and reopen it because it either plays with a black screen and sound or a black screen and no sound at all. • There is a bar at the bottom of the player that has buttons to watch other episodes from earlier in the season that you cannot scroll (??? Why would I ever need this? it literally serves no purpose other than giving me something to accidentally click) • There is no option to continue watching the next episode of a series you are watching on the Home Screen. I have to manually go into the lists of shows, select my show, select the season, and find the next episode unless I am watching multiple episodes in a row (there is a next episode button after the current episode finishes) • I have to sign in every time I open the application after not using it for anything longer than 30 minutes. • There is no option to skip the intro of a show. There is probably even more that I am forgetting. How does this ever get green lit by the development team? It’s like it was made by a middle school programming student. This is comically bad. Maybe start a GoFundMe or something AMC, this is embarrassing.

Awful
Horrible experience on the Apple TV. First was signing up. I signed up through Apple and started my free trial, but the app would not let me sign in. I had to create a login but it didn’t recognize that I had already started the trial through Apple - it would not let me proceed without putting in my credit card info. So I had to start a second subscription and then go back to cancel the free trial under my Apple ID subscriptions. So I will have to manage this subscription through their website. Annoying but whatever. Then there is the app itself. Trying to watch anything on this app is an ordeal. The show will just stop playing at random times. The only way to fix it is to close the app and then go back in to resume - and half the time it does not resume where you left off. Trying to get back to where you were before is also ridiculous. Using the touchpad or iPhone screen to fast forward or rewind is nearly impossible. The slightest touch on the remote will shift the cursor on the progress bar wildly. You just have to slide back and forth overshooting where you were over and over until you eventually land in the ballpark and say “Screw it!” and just settle in to watch the last 5 or 10 minutes you already saw - only to have the app freeze up 15 minutes later. I was watching an hour long show and it froze up at least 3 times per episode. I didn’t know how bad a streaming app could be.

So much works needs to be done
I subscribed to this because of a Black Friday deal they were offering and because I really wanted to see A Discovery of Witches. I am giving it 2 because I like the content and I have been able to discover more shows that I enjoy. Otherwise, I would give the actual app zero stars if I could. Cannot create profiles-seriously? This is the very first thing I noticed and still bugs me. Every streaming app has profiles. My wife and I watch different things and it would be nice to have different profiles to differentiate between the two of us. Navigation-absolutely horrible. You have to back all the way out, find the tv series again and then the season then the episode to resume where you stopped watching. Overall navigation is extremely poor. Next episode-does start the next episode. Doesn’t even give you settings to allow the next episode to play or not. Signing in-If I have been out of the app for a while, let’s say 24 hours, I have to log in again. Every time. That is annoying. We live in a world of streaming and other streaming services have set a bar on functionality and this app is not even close to that bar. I have seen similar posts going back months but yet nothing has been updated or done to correct any of the issues mentioned and that is very unfortunate. Unless there are some drastic changes, I will not be continuing my subscription.

Same old crap
I’d give this app zero stars if I could. Much like everyone else, I have the usual issues that it crashes, won’t open, or it’s just buggy. I literally cannot even use it right now because it won’t open, just keeps crashing. For more logistical issues, it never remembers what I watched, what episode I am on, or any of the stuff I put on my list. It acts brand new every time I come on. Never remembers my login, much like everyone else. This goes for the Roku TV app also, as it’s crap, too, but at least I can make it through an episode without it crashing out, I just have to search up my show every week when an episode comes out since it doesn’t save my place. Ever. To be honest, I don’t even think the content on here is worth any of this crap. I got this for Hilarie Burton Morgan’s It Couldn’t Happen Here and Ragdoll starring Lucy Hale, but other than those, there really isn’t much to interest me. I am not going to go down the hole of watching the Walking Dead because that would mean I’d have to keep the app even longer and, honestly, they don’t deserve my money anymore. If Hilarie’s show comes back for a second season, I will consider re-upping my sub, but until then, now that I’ve finished the two shows I got this for, I’m ending my subscription and deleting this app once and for all. Thanks for wasting my time and money, I guess you deserve that much for getting me for as long as you did.

AMC has some of the best and most affordable content out there for the blindingly simple reason that the prioritize writing. It is a tragic shame that they cannot employ the same sensibilities to app development. This is another grotesquely dysfunctional tribute to the narcissism of clueless developers who think that obsessing over the visuals somehow compensates for total neglect of functionality attuned to the users needs and a bewilderingly, inconsistent interface—only this one is early beta quality at best. While I in full-rant mode, I need to point out that the by far the worst offender in this space is Apple themselves. Apple is the only player in this space that is capable enough and powerful enough to do what is really happening needed—to develop and implement a protocol for content retrieval and force streaming providers to use it rather than develop there own idiotic apps. That would separate the interface from the content, giving a consistent experience across all services and facilitate a much more user-centric evolution of the interface. Instead, they saw it simply another opportunity to separate their inexplicably loyal users from yet more of their own money in in Apples unending quest for Global Domination. It’s utterly despicable, particularly giving the very high margins charged on the front end for their devices—that should entitle their customers far better treatment than this, as it does for other Apple devices.

Yea I didn’t even get to the watching a show stage
I finished seasons one through five of better call Saul on Netflix, which was a breeze to find the episodes sit through them, watch them and enjoy them. I wanted to continue onto season six so I said I guess I’ll download AMC plus. I tried, I really did, I jumped through all the hoops, put in my card info, found my Internet provider in their little list to register, and from then on it was just a test of endurance. First I couldn’t get the app to work on my TV, couldn’t navigate it, there wasn’t a search option to find the show, and when I did there was only seasons one through four available. The app on my TV said I needed to download the upgrade which I tried to do and it wouldn’t accept my email login. I tried re-registering I tried reentering information and none of it would work. After about two hours of fighting with it and going between the website the app and the app on my TV, I gave up. I guess I’ll just wait an entire year to watch the final season of one of AMC‘s best shows because they can’t get their app to work right. I’m sure they’re gonna have a generic computer generated response to this review just like all the others, I wouldn’t hold my breath for an actual response or for them to fix their appAnd make it more accessible along with having the seasons of their shows available for watch.

Stop switching apps
I’ve been subscribed for over a year to watch The Walking Dead episodes a week early. I had no problems until the switch was made from AMC Premiere to AMC+. I went to watch an episode one day and the app was completely down and nothing would load. That’s when I found out AMC made Premiere into an exclusive Apple TV channel called AMC+ and I had to re-subscribe and get used to the new app. Not even 2 months later, I pause an episode of World Beyond, come back 40 minutes later and the Apple TV channel no longer lets me watch the episodes in the app without paying for each individual one. The Walking Dead main is gone entirely from the channel and things previously included like Shudder is putting up an additional paywall. It only gives me the option to pay 2.99 for an episode or open up Prime Video, where the episodes are unavailable to even watch. I just found out without being notified (again) that AMC+ now has its own app separate from AMC, where I was able to resubscribe and watch everything there. This is so unnecessarily confusing and AMC giving their paying customers no notification they’re changing platforms multiple times is shameful. Also, they raised the price from $5 to $9 (monthly) in the past year, and these issues and relatively limited library of shows and seasons are not enough to justify the cost.

Worst streaming platform out there
I don’t even know how to fully articulate everything that is bad about this app (and I thought the website was bad, somehow the app is worse). It’s almost like it actively works against the user. I just finished an episode, the next one started and it sounded echo-y. That’s odd, maybe if I pause the show and start it again it’ll fix the audio issues… Nope, turns out a second, hidden, copy of the episode had started so when I paused it just kept on going in the background. I can’t even fathom how that happens… There’s no easy way to resume watching anything, if I want to watch the next episode of something I have to go find it without a quick way to start it from the home page, and if I resume an episode it pops up to ask me if I want to resume or restart. Why the extra action? It doesn’t tie into the normal media playback on my iPad so the play/pause button in the control panel starts playing whatever else I had been using before this app. So many more ridiculous issues. Something is very wrong with the development/product team that is working on the streaming platform, please hire some experienced folks. Glad I subscribed when there was a cheap deal going on, if all of this (what should have been done before any kind of launch) isn’t fixed I definitely won’t be renewing.

Hard to believe that this was deemed releasable
Not only is the UI horrible, but there are basic streaming service essentials other companies figured out 15 years ago at the advent of the entertainment format that are not present or not functional on this app. I only got this so I could watch the final season of Better Call Saul and the app crashed and logged me out while I was in the middle of the series finale. I had to reset my password three times to finally watch what I paid for. This is one of those apps that’s so bad that I guarantee almost all reviews here will clarify that they’ve never written a review before. It’s just so unbelievably embarrassing in its awfulness that most people using it feel they have a civic obligation to warn others and delete it. I have no idea what they’re going to do once BCS leaves the platform in a few months, because there is literally no other reason to put yourself through this nonsense. I also shouldn’t neglect to mention the promotional material shoved in front of episodes for these other shows they plan on releasing that were so cringey and hard to watch, that I would gladly get some form of risky brain surgery that would make me lose basic motor function if it had a 10% chance of helping me forget I ever saw them. I’m never going to watch Moonfall amc, it looks flipping horrible.

Astoundingly bad
The other reviews you’ve read are correct: this streaming service is almost comically terrible. For starters the bugs: this thing crashes constantly, sometimes won’t let me navigate between different seasons of the show I’m trying to watch, and even won’t respond/show me the pause button when I tap the screen during playback! Yes, that basic. But even without the bugs this thing is designed terribly: as far as I can tell there’s no option to add something to any kind of list, or if there is that too keeps bugging out. My home menu has 7-8 separate “continue watching” options for different episodes of the same show (and yet somehow the actual most recent episode I watched WON’T show one). During playback, you can pull up a menu of other episodes of the season of the show you’re watching, but this menu is so far down at the bottom of the screen that it’s almost impossible to not just pull up your actual phone menu, or even if you do get it it disappears in <3 seconds meaning I often haven’t had time to find the episode I was looking for. I have to admit that I like the content but as far as usable apps go this one is a major failure

Keeps taking me out the app
I’ve been wanting the AMC app for a while now cause I love the walking dead series but I’ve only had the app for about 12 hours and although I haven’t ran into many problems I have run into a couple that are bugging me. While I’m in the middle of a show the app just crashes and I have to reopen the app and go back to the show, idk why it’s happening I thought it was my wifi but it isn’t because my wifi is running perfectly fine. Other then that I ran into one more problem which is sometimes the app basically showing me nothing other then my continue watching, it didn’t show me the walking dead universe thing or any other shows, it would let me search or go into any of the other sliders (basically the only thing on the app is my continue watching) and the only way I could fix that problem is closing out the app and reopening it and hopping it doesn’t stay the same (which it did stay the same) but I fixed it by getting off the app closing it out again and reopening it. Idk wassup with that guys but I hope it gets fixed cause I actually wanna watch some other shows and movies this app has.

Content good, but app is horrid
I’m not sure how a streaming app in this day and age can have such a horrible user experience when there are countless other apps to use as a model for what to do. Navigation in mobile versions of the app is not intuitive and it’s really difficult to get around and get to content. Search is awful, I wanted to watch something in the shudder channel but I think I may just have to browse for it if it’s not in the main amc+ content? I’m not sure -because I gave up. And don’t even get me started on the horrible custom controls for Apple TV - it is impossible to go forward or back in content with any precision. Just use Apple’s default controls (that actually work) and get rid of the crappy custom version. It’s great to have more access to content, especially earlier releases than on cable, but it’s almost not worth it when the amc+ apps are so hard to use. If I hadn’t gotten the inexpensive holiday deal I would have canceled my membership already. There’s no way I would pay full price for this. If you eventually fix everything else above, the ability for more than one profile in a household would also be helpful.

Website & App Down For Two Hours
This is the first time I have ever written a review before but because of how atrocious the app and website are I felt like I had to warn other people. I spent the past two hours trying to cancel my free trial but the app nor the website were working, every time I refreshed the website or downloaded the app and cancelled and redownloaded it I would either get a blank black screen or an Error 500. I spent two hours just trying to figure out how I could possible cancel the free trial when neither the app or website was even working. At exactly 11:59 (I kid you not) everything immediately starts working again. I know this because I had the app open on my phone and the website open on my laptop. I had to rush to the subscriptions page on the website to cancel it before it became 12:00 and thankfully I was able to but nobody should ever have to spend two hours panicking and trying to cancel a free trial just because they’re website and app were both down. Absolutely ridiculous. If this is how they are with a free trial then I wouldn’t even recommend them for a subscription.

There’s a Reason for these reviews
When I saw the app was rated 1 star i was like dang could it really be that bad. Yes, yes it is. I made an account and when trying to log into another device, it said incorrect information. I sent the password reset to my email but nothing showed up. Ok, maybe I entered the wrong email. So on my phone where it was working, i tried to change the email but guess what, there’s no account information on the app. I know HBO shows what email you used and the ability to change the password. Nothing here. On the website you still have to sign in to change the email. So if you forgot your email there’s no way to reset it. I cancelled and resubscribed. Still wont let me login on a different device. It just shows me the subscription options. Doesn’t make sense because I already have an account? Im waiting until my free trial is over and we’ll see. But this is ridiculous Ive never experienced this with any other streaming platform. I got it to watch all TWD series, but for some reason TWD Dead City doesn’t show episodes only ep1. I don’t get it. And i don’t wanna deal with customer support.

Worst Streaming App
I seriously wish I could zero start this app, I don’t ever leave reviews for things so this is a first and I don’t even know where to begin so I’ll just go, it’s extremely non user friendly when it comes to watching anything, no skip options, difficult to navigate, buffering screens of death even after multiple resets, no option to watch next episode. I’ll also add that when you’re in the middle of an episode and it decides to stop and tell you there’s a problem and you go back into said episode, it doesn’t resume from where you left off, it resumes from the beginning so now I have to skip to find where I was. The app decides when it wants to work, of when you want it to work, again being stuck on loading screens. I think it’s also pretty shady to charge for a service but remove episodes after a certain time, like what am I paying for? I am extremely upset that I spend my money on this sorry excuse for a service and once I’m done watching what I want too, I can promise that I’m canceling and removing this app from my phone. Don’t be sorry AMC, be better.

Excellent content, bad app
I switched over from Shudder to AMC+ because the price difference was justified due to the insane amount of shows and movies available on this service. I will still continue to subscribe but this app needs some major work. Searching doesn’t always work, only way a title will appear on search is if you type in the whole thing and sometimes that won’t work. Related titles are hardly ever actually related to what I have actually watched. I have the AppleTV app, it’s really hard to go back or go forward with out skipping a lot or restarting the title. A lot of the titles are not even findable on the app, which means I have to go the website or IMDb to find out if something is on the service. Some titles that I have added to my “to watch list” will not show up on the the list even if I’ve tried to add them multiple times. Titles have also disappeared from my list. The app has a lot of major bugs that has to be worked out. I hope the developers can get them worked out because the service deserves better.

Incredibly Disappointing
Have always loved AMC and have been a faithful TWD fan since the first episode so when we decided to cut the cable I immediately started buying the seasons through Prime. Once the AMC+ app was available I signed up, paid for a full year on the spot and have had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE EVER SINCE! I’ve emailed their help desk but get no real answers just constant apologies and told to check my IOS is current, it is, and to delete and reload app, done that twice. Every episode of every show pauses by itself and then stays stuck in pause. I have to back out of the episode and restart it at least three times per episode, sometimes it’s every ten minutes! But no, they have no idea what’s going on and have no solution for it. This morning I awoke to just find a blank screen, a blazingly bright white blank screen where my AMC+ content should be. Funny how all my other apps work just fine but AMC+ just seems to be a constant issue?!?!?! Just don’t think they care. Just want our money! If they cared they’d be putting out a statement and issuing partial refunds for inconvenience and loss of service.

Poor functionality
TLDR; the app just doesn’t work well at all, distracts from what you’re watching, and makes watching content frustrating. I went for AMC+ specifically to watch a show I couldn’t get anywhere else (no cable provider). Using this app through an Apple TV is frustrating to say the least. No option for profiles (fine), episodes froze and errored out frequently- sometimes multiple times an episode without saving your place- despite strong internet connection and speed, and forget it if you need to rewind or fast forward- the progress bar zooms all over the place (both with physical remote and phone app remote and never an issue with other apps). I was seriously considering keeping a paid account but I don’t even want to find a show I like, since it’s completely distracting having the video glitch and stop so frequent and then trying to find your place again is impossible… $10/month isn’t worth the frustration. I’ll struggle through the show I want and that’ll be it unless they majorly improve.

Good content, poor platform
I have been using this app for just over a week, and the user experience has been frustrating. I enjoy the content so far, but platform is frustrating to a point that causes me to contemplate continuing the subscription. Main issues include: poor streaming performance (get an “oops!…” message every 10-15 minutes and have to exit app to fix); requirement to sign in with each streaming session (cannot close device and reopen to paused content streaming; “oops!…” message after streaming for an extended period of time that requires complete exit and sign-in to correct; difficulty accessing multiple seasons of a show in progress (all seasons visible upon first view of the show’s landing page, but the link disappears later and you have to search elsewhere in the app for the show to find more seasons); inability to skip pre or post credits; inability to load app on smart tv. I am hopeful that, if enough users document similar experiences, the developers will improve the platform’s performance.

You need help
I don’t know if this is managements terrible decisions to just make a terrible app just for to say the enterprise has one or if the department that made it is just grossly incompetent. I would figure management is the issue but you never know. How can an enterprise with an estimated value of 2 billion make something so broken and with such a terrible UI. Is this some kind of tax write off or something? Please explain there are good shows on the app and quality originals so why is the app so terrible. Here is an idea just make it to where Roku Vizio tvs and apples and Samsung phones can play the app without multiple issues and you would at least have a 3 star app if you make it look pretty it might go to four I would genuinely pay 100 dollars to any person at one this company that can explain how such a bad app can make you more money than actually making something that is functional. Btw if you have a Vizio tv no matter what you do it will have double subtitles on the app even if you cut off subtitles in app it will still show up twice.

What a Terrible Streaming App
I got so excited to watch the new V/H/S 99, a Shudder and AMC exclusive but my app will literally not play it. It crashes every time while trying to play the video. The one thing this app is supposed to do and it fails miserably at it. You would think that a company that spends all this money to produce original content would give their audience a way to watch it but nope, that’s not the case with this steaming pile of garbage app. I tried to download the movie instead but that feature is non functional (with every movie I’ve tried to download). Why am I even paying for something that doesn’t work? There has been hundreds of reviews talking about how terrible this app is but what is the developing staff even doing? They obviously don’t care about their customers if something like this app hits production. Feels like the beta version got uploaded by accident. My problem with the movie playing is only just the beginning, there have been countless instances of movies I’ve wanted to watch but would play with no sound. No matter what I did sound would not play. Just read all the other reviews about how terrible this app is. I will be canceling my subscription soon and streaming AMC’s content online for free because the development staff cannot get it together with this app. Seriously guys, how many reviews does it take to fix this? This issues have been going on for over a year which is when I signed up for the product. What a let down.

If your app doesn’t work get out of the streaming business.
Like I said in the title, if your app doesn’t work, get out of the streaming game. You're clearly not ready. I downloaded and subscribed to yet another streaming service so I could watch Kin. Thankfully I’m still in the free trial because I won’t be purchasing. All of a sudden, without warning, the episodes are not available anymore to watch. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Your app is so broken it’s infuriating to witness. I get logged out constantly for no apparent reason. When binging a series, the logical thing would be to start the next episode while the credits are rolling. But no, you have to find the series again on the Home Screen and then click on seasons (should be titled episodes). For whatever reason, that feature is now missing, and you can’t find any of the remaining episodes. Garbage. You also can’t download content like every other streaming app can do. Get out now and return these titles to Netflix until you get your big boy pants on. It’s for the best.

Good content but no screen reader support
This platform has some content I would like to watch such as Better Call Saul. However, I use screen readers and am not really able to use this app. Most buttons and icons have no alternate text or label meaning that screen readers can't tell users what they do. For example, if there is a label for a button, the screen reader would announce what it does, such as "sign in." Instead, the screen reader just says the word button, so myself, and other blind users have no idea what the buttons do and cannot use the app. Unlabelled buttons are all throughout the app, making it nearly impossible to use. There are also no audio description tracks available on AMC+ though many AMC shows, such as The Killing and Breaking Bad have them on other streaming services. It would be very much appreciated if this feedback could be considered so that blind people can have the full viewing experience. I thank anyone who has taken the time to read this.

Horrible app and horrible support
This app is awful. I had to sign in every time I wanted to watch unless I only used only one device. I couldn’t watch on my Apple TV in the bedroom then switch to kitchen Apple TV to make dinner without having to sign in again. I contacted support and went very time consuming steps to resolve it based on canned email I received. Restarted device, checked for updates, deleted app the reinstalled it etc. Sometimes this would help for a bit, but never for long. No one in support would work with me. You get a canned email response with troubleshooting steps, then they’d email you that the problem is resolved, though it wasn’t. Even though I had paid for an annual subscription with them, I started a new subscription with Apple, having read a post from another user that to avoid being signed out, you needed to subscribe with Apple. This didn’t help and support completely ignores my requests for assistance. This is so infuriating I will probably cancel AMC+ entirely since no TV show is worth this hassle.

Looks Nice but Watered Down, Disappointing Content
I tried to give this the benefit of the doubt and ignore the overwhelmingly bad reviews, but unfortunately this app is bad. I'll give you one star because it's a visually pleasing/functioning app, it that's it. I came here for a handful of interests (Breaking Bad, Shudder, Sundance and IFC) and this all-in-one approach was appealing. BB is no longer on the platform and none of my Shudder saves transfer over. And the kicker, you get *their* version of what they think you should see from the other services not what they actually include (like live channels on Shudder). It's incredibly disappointing. Don't forget you can't access those other dedicated apps with your AMC+ login either despite it being the same company. Seriously ask yourselves then, why does this app exist? If there's a legitimate answer other than "money" I'd love to hear it. You'll still get my annual subscription but only on Shudder directly. Shame on you AMC for putting out such a worthless app

Seriously?
Amazing library of content, such a horribly designed app. The UI is clunky and the amount of glitches is ridiculous. Very little information is provided on the page of their movies and shows (would be nice to know director, actors, rating, etc). The “my list” tab is never accurate- content I know I’ve saved for later will at random disappear from the list, so what’s even the point? If you have to stop and continue your movie at a later time make a mental note of where you were at in the runtime, because I guarantee you the app won’t accurately remember where you were. Why does the screen orientation lock when I’m trying to watch something? If my phones charging port has to be plugged in to the wall a certain way guess I’m watching my show upside down. Just a pain to navigate and use overall. Love the content provided but barely able to access it. It’s honestly embarrassing for a professional entertainment company to put out an app this poorly made in a world that revolves around the ability to stream.

Terrible App
I just signed up for AMC+ and am very disappointed with this app. The navigation of the app is horrible, you can’t view all episodes once you select a program. It forces you to start at episode 1 and do them in order which may not seem like a big deal but it is if you have seen episodes on a different platform and just want to pick up where you left off. The app freezes continuously, forcing you to close out of the app and login again. I had forgotten my password and the reset is a nightmare. You get the password email link are able to click on it but it won’t allow you to update. If you hit reset again it will then bring you into the app without logging in. This is frustrating to have to do every time I want to log in if I can’t reset. AMC please make your platform more user friendly. I guess I will have to use the web version which is not convenient to have to launch a browser and then search for AMC vs launching an app. Let’s hope the viewing content is worth it.

All the walking dead seasons are now available on the app
I had this application before and it was horrible because the quality streaming video was atrocious and not watchable in today’s world of streaming services that provide perfect picture quality. Another problem that I had with the app previously is that not all the seasons of walking dead were available, it was only select episodes for the original Walking Dead and only the final season of fear The Walking Dead. Which to me was the primary reason for getting the app so I could catch up on fear The Walking Dead however, I’m glad to report that now all the content is available, and the quality is on par with other streaming services all end up keeping it and paying the yearly subscription rate

Easily the worst streaming app out there
Never actually written a review for an app before, but my experience with AMC+ has been so appalling that I felt compelled to warn others. The headache from this app in terms of lack of features, general instability, and all around horrible support is truly astounding, I mean you really are left wondering if they’re trying to make it a poor experience for the user. You will often find yourself logged out with the app telling you that your login credentials are wrong, only to come back an hour later and they’ll suddenly be right. What’s that? Big series premier/finale going on? Yeah time to get booted off the app. Wanna watch the entirety of a new season? Yeah, tough luck, the first episodes will be taken down a week after they air. Long story short, I’m canceling my subscription as soon as I manage to watch the better call Saul finale (yes, I said ‘manage to’, been an hour of fighting with the app and AMCs website), if you’ve gotta catch up on your favorite show, do it quick and jump ship.

Absolutely horrible app to use
Wow, I don’t usually write reviews for apps but this one is such garbage. You would think that such a big company would put some money into making a half decent app but apparently not. Next episodes don’t automatically play when previous episodes end, and you have to return to the main page, navigate to your show, scroll through all the seasons and episodes to get to the episode you were watching and find the next one. There’s no sort of “Continue Watching” option, no option to have multiple profiles on the same account, and the app is ridiculously unintuitive to navigate. Yesterday I tried to stream a live channel, and the app somehow crashed my ChromeCast device?!? I clicked cast, got a blue screen, and literally couldn’t use my chromecast with any other app until I completely unplugged it. Honestly the only reason I have AMC+ is for Better Call Saul, as soon as that show ends I’m immediately canceling my subscription and deleting this godforsaken app.

Don’t use this app
This is the worst app I’ve ever attempted to use. And I do say Attempted because it is functionally useless. There’s a good chance that the app will freeze upon selecting anything, whether it be a show or a function at the bottom. If you can manage to get to the episode or channel you want to watch, you better pray to whatever god you worship that the app will successfully cast to your device, because basic streaming mechanics are far too advanced for this app. Oh, and if you’re hard of hearing you might as well risk the wrath of your neighbors by turning your volume to max or just forget it altogether, because no matter how many times you select the CC option, closed captions will never show up on your tv. I cannot believe I actually paid to be tortured weekly by this joke of an app. I cannot wait to never use this app again. Zero stars, do not pass go and do not collect two hundred dollars, and please spare yourself and your phones storage space and DON’T download this app.

The app is horrible…. The service is too..
This app feels like a cash grab and a complete disregard of longtime fans of AMC series. The app itself is horribly developed. Basic functionality like auto advance of episodes, properly keeping track of episode progress, or even some basic recommendations on what I might like to watch all do not work properly. I find myself frustrated and quitting the app, giving up on the show I want to watch. Also, shows that I pay a subscription fee to see on demand are only available for a limited time. What?!? When any user here complains about these failures, the response is to email a support email. Top tip… fix the app, fix the service quality, and don’t ask your production end users to create support cases with you for something that could have been solved with the slightest user testing pre-release. I accidentally payed for a year of this horrible service. Feels kinda like a scam from a network I typically thought highly of in the past.

Frustrated!!
I wish I had read these reviews before I paid for a year upfront of AMC+. Like many I decided on AMC+ for one particular show I want to watch and it has been very frustrating! The app gives messages that “oops there is an issue with this content” or it just crashes. When I try to use airplay the app just stops. At first I thought it was airplay then maybe my TV but all other videos/apps play perfectly with airplay. So after an hour of wasted time trying to find the issue, I put in a “ticket”. As I am un-installing and re-installing this app for the third time I look at the rating and read these reviews. It is hard for me to believe that AMC cannot create an app that works and delivers what is promised. I also have xfinity and I can say AMC + into the remote and it comes up but either xFinity or AMC does not allow you to sign in, you have to purchase through xFinity for it to work through the platform. Other streaming services do not require that, why AMC+? AAARGH!!!!!

Why are there so many issues with this app??
All of the other big streaming apps work fine, what is going on that this one has so many things that inconvenience me. I knew I was going to drive through an area with bad cell reception so I downloaded shows from amc+ and other streaming apps. This way I would have something to watch even without cellular reception and data. But no…first of all there was no sound on my downloads! No it’s not my brand new iPhone neither. Also downloads should be available to watch without internet…mine were not. What the heck is the point of a download if I can’t use it when I actually need it? Also if someone’s account is current downloads should be good until we delete them. Our account isn’t going to go bad from the time we paid to the next billing date. It just makes no sense. I’m frustrated with this app! Also why isn’t the Walking Dead, every season, on here??? That is one of amc’s biggest shows?!

Completely and Utterly WORTHLESS
I got the year pass and ever sinc3 the first day after signing up, the app crashes upon opening it on iPhone, and when opening the app on AppleTV doesn’t matter what, it freezes, leaving you to force close the app, and starting an entire episode over. When you start the episode, doesn't even resume where you left off. I’m trying to watch The War of the Worlds, and on trying to get through an episode, but every time, I have to start from episode one, instead of the episode where you left off when it froze or crashed. What is more infuriating, my card got charged way more easily than I’m having luck on watching anything at all. Worst UI, too. Extremely hard to navigate. I wished I had never wasted my breath, time, and hard-earned money. Oh yeah, I forgot that it doesn't work across other devices or saves the shows you want to or are watching. Save yourself the trouble and subscribe through Prime Video instead.

Service is genuinely bad
Had AMC premier before the change and that was running good. Now with this AMC plus it is a complete mess. Who ever worked on this app and who ever approved the work missed a few bugs. Certain shows like the different walking dead shows have issues. You can’t watch content ahead of time for the premium service you pay. Updating the app is not an option as it’s already part of the apple tv service. Getting the app itself on your device wants you to log in but if you are subscribed to the service through apple tv there is no option to use apple id login. For early access to shows you are redirected to your tv provider app like spectrum or Prime video. I’m a developer and this is definitely broken. Looks to have been broken for a while now and there is absolutely no excuse to not fix this. I don’t mind unsubscribing and loosing my favorite show early access. Purely unacceptable. Don’t waist your money subscribing folks. It’s not worth it.

Content great, APP is a horrendous mess.
PS: the reply I got from the ticket I submitted was to reboot my equipment. All the rebooting in the world won’t fix this very, very poorly coded app. AMC is better than to put this rubbish app out there. Moved to a one star rating for this ridiculous canned response they sent me. Was a two star for the content but their reply of needing to reboot is silliness and cost them a star. Original review: I’m enjoying the content, but the app is a horrible, under-developed and under-tested mess. It does not keep track of what I’ve watched or where I left off on an episode of even which season I was watching. Have to mentally keep track of where I’ve left off. The watch the next episode rarely works and generally returns me to a menu. Before the developer response says to contact them, I’ve already submitted a ticket. Please make this better. The monthly fee is fine for the good content, but the hassles with the app will have me considering continued patronage.

Great content; horrible user experience.
The AMC Plus app is plagued with bugs, riddled with technical issues, and missing core features that’d make it a decent competitor to every other streaming service. Of all of the issues, I want the team to focus on one: As a user, I want to remove an item from continue watching. The episodes I finished to completion or stopped a minute short of the end because the credits had arrived are showing up in my apple TV and Chromecast with Google TV recommendations as unfinished episodes and movies. This also occurs if I use the Up Next feature to continue to the next episode or watch to completion and it autoplay the next. Fix the interval watch history is checked or saved. Don’t register someone watching past the credits as in-progress unless there’s a post-credit scene, and allow the user to clear continue watching so it doesn’t affect everyone else’s devices. I don’t want a developer response, I want the issue resolved— so pass it on to the appropriate team to fund, solution, and build before I get fed up enough and unsubscribe. The continue watching feature is just about useless with all of the unnecessary episodes filling my actual in progress shows. The app team can keep playback progress and resume and just remove the continue watching section of the app and you might get a 1.4 instead of a 1.3 in the App Store.

NEEDS MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS
I rarely write reviews but this app is incredibly frustrating and not user friendly. The content is what drew me to downloading it but the interactivity of the platform is abysmal. Streaming apps have been around long enough now that basics expectations have been established that this app sorely lacks: Auto-play of the next episode of a series , ability for the screen orientation to flip depending on phone position, clear selection tabs on series site pages (season, episode, etc - on my iPhone 8 these appear as a jumbled overlay), capacity to cast a video to another device.. the list goes on I'm sure but these are what I've noticed after less than a day of usage. Having read other reviews, it does not appear the developers are making any efforts to effect any change. Despite my interest in the content of the app, I highly doubt I'll be using this beyond the free trial period barring a better response to the numerous critiques that have been posted.

Horrible! Complete waste of time!
If I could give this app a zero star rating, I would. I received a 6 month free trial through Verizon after buying the iPhone 13 pro. Great…..or so I thought! After clicking “redeem now” and setting up my account on the AMCPlus website, I downloaded the app. At first, it wouldn’t let me sign in at all. Didn’t recognize password, even though it was correct. Now, it allows me to sign in, but immediately asks me to sign up for my free 7 day trial. It won’t let me past that screen at all. Tried it on my Roku, also. Allows me to sign in, but after clicking on any show at all, it tells me that the content isn’t available for my subscription. Customer support continues to ask me the same questions over and over. At this point, I’m just going to cancel the trial and delete my account so that my card won’t be charged at the end of the “free trial” that I can’t even use. Never had this issue with any of my other streaming apps.

Could be improved
I am only comparing this to other streaming services and there could be some improvements to make this better. Like many of you, I am here for the Walking Dead. I really wish that when signing in to my profile I am able to just continue watching my last episode. Seems like I have to hunt down the show and also look for the last episode I was watching. Also, it does not have any markings for any episodes previously watched. You just have to remember the last episode your in. Sometimes it seems like it has to buffer to catch up and displays “something went wrong during playback” which is really annoying as you have to back out and resume playback. While I like the format it has, I please ask the developers to improve this app. Small changes will go a long way.

Would not recommend this app.
I started watching The Walking Dead off Netflix and once I finished the show I wanted to watch the other spin offs, and this app had them so I bought the no ads monthly subscription. I still have multiple ads EVERYTIME I go to start a episode. After the ad, it doesn’t even play the episode of the show I am watching. It just goes to a black screen once the ad is over. Even after exiting and clicking back on the episode I, once again, get another ad(and again, I paid for NO ads) then after the ad it’s another black screen. It literally won’t even play what I am trying to watch. I can do that process 5+ times and still get no results of the episode actually starting. Huge waste of money, I’d definitely recommend finding someplace else to watch things instead of wasting money and time on this app that can’t even play what you’re trying to watch. If I could give 0 stars, I would👎🏼

Worst streaming app ever
I don’t understand how this app launched. It barely works. Every single time I try to open it, it just flashes for a quick second and then closes. It’s not until I sign out and sign back in that the app stays open. I have to do that each time! Even if I logged in earlier that same day. Once you’re in, forget about continuing a show. If you don’t finish something in one sitting, when you log back in, you have to start over. Fast forwarding is a nightmare. Don’t even bother. If you’re watching a show, you have to select the show, season, and episode every single time. There’s no “continue watching” list or feature. When you finish an episode and want to go back a screen to select the next episode, it takes you back to the home screen again. Overall experience is extremely frustrating considering the ease of other streaming apps. Please roll out enhancements to keep up with all the competitors.

beyond frustrating
I subscribing directly through my iPhone 8 which is the only media I currently have access to (no TV provider). Thus far it has been annoying to beyond frustrating as I primarily wish to see series. Apparently there is no separate ‘pages’ devoted to series through which one can scroll and pick out an episode to watch. When I finish seeing an episode there is NO automatic advance to the next episode (which seems logical), but only a choice of three totally non-related selections. Using the search feature, I am then directed only back to the very FIRST episode but again without the option of getting to another episode. I watched Halt and Catch Fire. The next episode was not available to me on AMC+ but somehow I was able to watch the first two seasons on iTV . Supposedly it is an elusive AMC production but if I want to watch the final two season (3 & 4), I have to purchase through iTV? In watching on iTV, I had to be careful not to resubcribe to AMC. Now I am trying to watch “Des”, but again it is not allowing me to go to the next episode. Also when I open the app, it shows a very limited selection of offerings, most of which I do not want so I really do not have any idea of what might really be available. Definitely needs better user interface to watch series. Quite lacking in that area or to resume what the user was watching. Thanks

Fixed a Lot of Previous Issues
A lot of the issues listed in previous reviews have been fixed, I haven’t run into any bugs with this app, it works better than some others, including earlier versions of HBO’s app for me. My one and only complaint and why it’s getting four stars instead of five, is the 30 second unskippable ads at the beginning of each episode, and any time you resume an episode. I already pay for the service, no need to advertise to me, especially when it’s the same show every single time. I already know you guys have The Walking Dead, no need to remind me every hour or so. Honestly, anyone who doesn’t know about The Walking Dead already wasn’t going to watch it anyway. Other than that I feel it’s top notch.

After two years with it
Hello I purchased amc + two years ago got the one year discount thanks I loved watching the movies available. I only saw a few series the first year the second year I bought the year subscription again but this time I saw the app on Xbox in the Apple TV app and I got so excited to see how much better that app is then the one on mobile and then when I went to login in it said no that I had to purchase another separate subscription to amc plus even though I already had prepaid a one year subscription such a bummer because the mobile app is not quite as good as the app on the Apple TV app on the Xbox . I got to to say is if you get it an you have the option get it on the Xbox instead of the mobile app cause it might disappoint you when you can use it . An the good series are back on .

Does not work with iPhone to hdmi adapter from your iPhone
This is a weird app. It actually screws up your ability to use your iPhone to HDMI adapter. So if you want to connect your iPhone to your HDMI TV forget it. The app kills the screen and plays on the phone and not your TV. Oh you can hear the sound through your set just not see the picture. When this fails it also prevents you from mirroring your phones screen to your HDMI. You have to reboot your iphone and start over again. Also I did get to try AMC+ because of a Verizon deal. I was so looking forward to catching up on Better Call Saul. There’s no Better Call Saul on this app!!!! One of AMC’s biggest shows and you dont get to watch previous seasons????? Walking Dead? You can catch up on all the Walking Dead you can possibly handle (and not get bored with). But if you thought you’ll get to catch up with Jimmy in season 5 forget it. You’ll have to watch it all on Netflix. Great job AMC!
