AsianCrush - Movies & TV

App has a few issues. 1) Goes to live broadcast and won’t let you get out, you can’t watch some of the other good shows they have. 2) they go in and out of English captions. Don’t let check and turn English captions on. Going forward or backwards doesn’t help. Gets a bit fuzzy for a bit when I do this takes a bit to refocus. They do have some good shows, that isn’t on any of the other subscriptions I have , but the app isn’t user friendly.! Needs to work on these points. I have four other apps I subscribe to, this is the only one with these issues.

First, let me start by saying that this has some of the best shows and movies out there. Unfortunately, that is the only good thing about this app. It crashes constantly, it will randomly drop the picture while allowing the soundtrack to play or the app will close out completely. You can not fast forward or rewind without crashing the app. It does not save your place either and forget about saving yourself a “watch list.” To make things worse, if you pay to remove the ads, the app will work slightly better until out of no where, you can no longer log into your account. It will claim that you are not a registered user. Then if you want to contact anyone, you can only contact them through e-mail and you can forget about them ever responding. I know because I went through this. I had to contact my credit card company to cancel the subscription. I desperately want to watch some of the things that are on here but it is pointless without a subscription, yet I do not want to go through the hassle again. Yet, this poorly designed app has a monopoly on some amazing content! If the app ran smoothly and if you could actually contact customer support, it would be a 5 star app.

I love the concept of getting shows from places you normally couldn’t get them from but I’m mad at how broken this is. First of all there are like 5 ad breaks with 4 ads every break. About half are 15 seconds the other half 30. That’s 90 seconds per ad break times 5 is 450 seconds or about 7 and a half minutes. To take into account Ill compare this to another non huge app called crunchy roll which has 10 to 20 second ads 3 times. About 40 seconds each time and times 3 is 120. This would ad up since I’m comparing 20 minuet episodes to movies but the loading time for ads is abnormal. Basically I wait 5 minutes for one ad to load that’s 20 ads times 5 which is 100 minutes of wait I have to not watch my show for over a hour for this problem. I know it’s not my WiFi cause I use other apps just fine with zero delay. It’s just this problem and I’ll give it 5 stars.

I first start to use the free version, but having the same comercial playing 3/4 times for each segment of 5 min start to drive me crazy. Also no forward or skip button option. No way to save a show or even to continuo watch it after you close the app. That means you need to work yourself to find the scene that you last stop. Anyway I decide to upgrade hoping that those features would be available for a paid subscription. WRONG!! It’s just the same minus commercial. I totally don’t mind paying if least would open my show from where I stopped watching. A forward button it’s a most because many times I need to use it to read the subtile when it goes to fast. And yes, a skip button for all that boring scene and off-course a option to favorite a show. Lets not even talk about that there’s no option to leave feedback for the watched shows. Yep, not happy and I will cancel my subscription.

I really do enjoy this app a lot, it allows me to binge watch amazing shows. However, there are way TOO many ads! While I understand that ads are needed to help make money for the app to also provide free entertainment for us viewers, I constantly had to sit there and watch 2 minutes worth of ads every couple of minutes while I watched my shows. It was ridiculous and it made me frustrated. I spent most of the time watching ads it felt like. It also upset me because before I would only get ads after watching a couple episodes, and they were very short. I don’t know what’s up with the super long and frequent ads they have but I think they need to remove some and cut them shorter to make it enjoyable for us viewers.

Ok let me just say this app has changed and they fixed a LOT of bugs and this is porb one of the best apps in the world you need this app if u like Asian drama romance crime and so on etc. I LOEV this app cuz it lets u watch all or most of the eps of the show ur watch. There’s ads for then and then BUT most of the eps Don’t have ads. Alr then let’s get in to the bad part of this app.. there nothing bad…. Like I’m serious. Nothing bad that I know so use this app if u Like Asian drama have fun

Look Viki is way better but I’m stuck because they have shows viki doesn’t but the interface is glitching, the show stops in the middle, the app closes out. Don’t ever try and fast forward or skip through. Oh you wanna pick up where you left off you have to look for the whole show again because unlike ever other streaming app there isn’t a watchlist or a pick up where you left off section or a save. Every time this app closes down on me I have to go back in find the show then find the episode I was watching bruhhh. It’s taken me 2 full days to watch 17 45 min episodes 😑 it’s just 3 stars for now we will see once I finish this month. Ohhh if you do anything but a paid subscription you’ll have commercials every 3 mins .

The service is just terrible as it gives on average two minutes of actually programming, sandwiched between 2 -two minutes sets of commercials. The Apple TV is simply crap. I am currently stuck in a never ending loop of commercials. This happens with every series eventually. Closing the app completely, followed by I restart the previous watched program, leads to it kicking off a new round of two minutes of commercials, then it plays a few seconds of the program, followed by another never ending loop of commercials. Need to pause the stream for a second or switch to another app. No problem, just pay the penalty of another set of two minutes commercials. It’s disappointing to say the least. I can’t imagine how apple approved the app for use.

Need to make it easier to add/remove movies/shows to a playlist and you need a feature that lets a person have a long favorites list or saved movies/shows list. Also have an option to save your progress when you leave and then later return midway through a movie or show. Worth paying for this app. because of the show and movie selection but please save a person’s progress on any show/movie they are watching. It is annoying to try and finish watching the remainder of a movie later on but then you have to spend time trying to figure out exactly where in the movie you last were watching.

I finally decided to purchase the annual premium package so that I could have access to all the content. It offered a free 14 day trial period before purchase. Well, it gave access for one day then BAM! Immediately it locked the content. I didn’t panic because it didn’t seem like a big deal being that I hadn’t paid yet. Once the trial period was over my money was taken and I had access. About a week later I went back to the app to finish watching a show and all of a sudden I see locked content!! 🤬🤬. I paid my money!! Why don’t I have access? Sounds like a bait and switch job to me. Forget trying to contact them, I tried no response!! Do yourself a favor and avoid buying the subscription from these guys!! Viki, IQIYI, and Tencent are way better!!

I like that Asian Crush has TV and film choices that are not found in other apps. It's nice to get some variety, I paid for their premium subscription but after a month or so, I cancelled it. I would watch more if only they have a 10 second rewind and forward buttons available just like with Viki and Netflix. What they have is the old fashioned slider. There are times that some scenes can drag and you just want to get to the next part like 30 seconds later. It's frustrating to have to use your finger to "scrub" to a different section of whatever you're watching. But you practically miss the mark because the slider is so small. Most of the time, I would give up watching in frustration.

This app has really good potential but there are just WAY too many ads and other inconveniences. Almost every 5-7 minutes of watching a movie, there’s ads that play, no, not one, but multiple ( it’s fine to have ads, but so many in one sitting is just frustrating). This app also freezes many times during a show/movie and ad and it’s DEFINITELY NOT because of internet connection. And when I need to exit the app, it doesn’t save from where I last stopped during a movie, so it gets really frustrating when I have to find my place. I really think this app would have a better rating from me if these problems, or qualities were somehow altered to be more suitable and convenient.

I'll review the app, but not the movies. So first I cannot go back or fast forward, if I want to watch the scene again. Even web videos allow the user to go back 15 seconds, but this app doesn't have this option. Also, I cannot fast forward during a boring scene. Second, the commercials freeze a lot, so sometimes it's impossible to watch a movie. Third, these are lame stupid American commercials, not the funny Asian commercials. Fourth, the commercials plays every 7 minutes and last for 2 minutes. Fifth, the commercials are 10x louder than movie sounds. Sixth, the app crashed after 15 minutes into the movie. When I reopened the movie I had to start watching from the beginning. I decided to uninstall this app and I'll never be installing it again.

I am a newcomer. And I’m wondering why the episode I’m watching doesn’t save where I left off. Please fix this or is it like that? I would really love it to save the part I was watching and then resume to that same part. but it doesn’t do that. Also the ads are killing me; it was 3 ads in the beginning but NOW 5 ads! Please I would rather watch 3ads then watch so much that it wasted my whole waiting and all a sudden the thing is buffering. Not my day. I mean theirs one good thing about the app; like for Instant the shows that you guys have know one else has.

The NEGATIVE So first off I like going into the negative stuff first. So first of all I have been recently noticing that some of the lines of the dramas get cut off... I know I don’t understand or is fluent in Korean or any other language but don’t skip what the person is saying in English. I get zoned out or confused on what is happening. So “AsianCrush” can you fix this bug or error please. Another thing is to find where you left off, please fix this bug also. The POSITIVE I think this app is actually ok, I have seen people say the ads are too much, but not for me. I do not have premium but I have like 2 ads per every episode...sometimes none at all. So really I’m good with that. Another thing that is good is the quality of the show. The sound and the graphics are good and the layout is ok. This is because I have a hard time finding my recent watched stuff due to the bug not leaving where we left off,(so please fix this). Thank you.

I haven’t been using this app long, but I seem to keep getting the same Ads over and over. Though I understand Ads are important, I wish the Ads had more variety. Also, sometimes the Ads will stop playing and other times when my show restarts the sound is missing. I have to restart the App to fix the sound problem and then restart what I was watching, which then triggers more Ads that may or may not cause another sound problem. Note: The sounds problem don’t happen often, but is a pain when it does.

adbreaks are to be expected since i’m not planning to pay for premium anytime soon, however i very frequently get the same ad multiple times in a row. sometimes adbreaks have 2-4 ads, and i’ve had times where i get the same ad 2-4 times. it’s very frustrating to see the same ad repeatedly multiple times in a row, however i put up with it because the shows are worth it in my opinion. even if they just show another ad in between and still play the same ad after i’d be relieved, honestly.

I like the selection of movies but the video player is really frustrating and kind of outdated. Any time you leave the app, the movie starts over from the beginning. Also if you accidentally press the screen in the wrong spot while watching the movie, the screen goes back to the main menu and again, you lose your spot in the movie and also have to go through a bunch of ads (which I’m not complaining about the ads but losing the spot where you were watching). So I want to enjoy this app more but I hope the programmers make a new, updated and reliable video player and something to keep your spot in the movie.

It’s a good sight but not very user friendly like Netflix, prime or even Viki. 4 to 5 sets of ads each 20 sec long and repetitive is annoying but I think the worst is that there’s no watch list. I can heart a movie however I don’t know really what that means. I assumed it meant it Luke be stored in my personal collection but I didn’t see it. So, I’m a little disappointed. In addition if I leave the app while I was in the process of watching the movie, the movie starts over. Which means ads all over again. And forget the fast forward...you’ll guarantee ad and delay. I’m hoping these will be easy fixes. Good luck users.

This app is a pain to work with. The formatting is inconvenient and confusing. It would be nice to just have a page for your playlists like other platforms do. There are too many adds that take too long and have no way of skipping. When the break starts I get 4 adds that last 30 sec each. I understand that since I don’t pay I can’t avoid the adds but frankly that amount of time lost is still a bit ridiculous. To sum it up, I haven’t deleted it yet. This is only a last ditch effort if I can find what I want to watch elsewhere. But if I can, I won’t be using this app. There are a few things I’ve identified that I want to watch. But after that I’m probably going to delete it. 3/10

This app is okay but the thing is that there is like 4 adds and they are mostly 30 seconds. I would recommend but it has too many adds and I lost my episode. It’s also that the subtitles are a bit late than how they actually say it. This app is great but it’s just the adds. Either they are too long or there is just too many.

Ok so first of all I’d like to say I love this app but there is a couple things that are very annoying So one is that it does not save your spot on a show/movie and the other thing is the ads it’s a big problem for me because I’d definitely be fine with and ad or two while I’m watching my show/movie but when it gives you an ad it makes you watch like 7 so I’m quite annoyed by that and the other thing is it will crash once in a while So over all this app is great but needs fixing.

I subscribed to AsianCrush and watched a few programs on my iPhone & TV too—with no trouble over several months. This week I was sent email to change my password. Live TV kept playing a show and wouldn’t t stop —not even sure how I finally got it to stop. I can’t get into my old account it kept saying password was incorrect then signed me up for 6 mos. Free subscription. I’ve emailed several times (almost impossible to get help or find customer service contact now) no response. I’ve asked that my paid subscription be refunded and any and all subscriptions cancelled

The claim that got me to download the app in the first place was that there was free content to watch. Everything listed seems to require the monthly subscription. Going to the website to look for items brings up a nasty form of adware. I wouldn’t mind paying a subscription when I’m ready to access some of the content, but the stuff advertised as free that led me here is not. It won’t even let me check out the description to see if a title is worth watching. I could understand free content being ad supported, but I don’t even see that here. If I have to pay and still get ads, well, Shame on me for falling for it, right. I’ll stick to the download sites.

Why bother paying for no ads when they force you to watch ads anyway? I bought it the other day, every single episode even after logging out and back in and reinstalling it still gives me 4 ads to watch every 10 minutes. The ads actually got worse they went from 15-30 seconds to a full on minute! So now I get to waste at least 20 minutes when I watch something over an hour long! Not worth it, I understood the need for ad revenue to make everything free but COME ON. If you say no ads for premium I assume that means NO ADS! I’m paying now for the privilege of watching even longer ads, great. Don’t get it, just go elsewhere.

There's a glitch that doesn't allow me turn to do some functions properly. Many times it took me back to the beginning of the show. There is very many ads....too much honestly for a 1 hr movie. I might upgrade or I might choose another app instead. I used to have u and although many people complained I found it the easiest to use once I upgraded to premium. I don't want any glitches whatsoever if I'm planning to pay for something and commit to it.

As other reviews have said, I really enjoy that this app has shows that others do not, or offer them for free without needing the subscription. However, the app itself it absolute crap. Videos take forever to load, ads are every three minutes, the app crashes all the time. Fast forwarding/going back is impossible, as the video will load for god knows how long, and will sometimes crash. Please fix this! There are so many comments from almost a year ago with these same problems, but nothing has been changed!!!

What I don’t like is that when you exit out of the show, it doesn’t save. There’s no “my list” to save shows and you’ll just lose all of your progress in watching the movie or episode after you close it. I have to write down where I left off. That’s not fair. And yes, I do have an account. This app would be perfect if they cut down on adds and added a feature where you can add stuff to your list and where you can save the progress of your episode, I hope you can fix it, because otherwise, I looove all of the k-dramas💕

First of all, I love the selection of movies, short and long and series too but not as much. My frustration with your app, using a ipad pro, I have the hardest time finding the movie I was watching where I left it off, it consistently go back to the beginning, so now I have to write down the time where I stopped in order to manually find the pl ace again (lame). Also the app do not register what I saw, only occasionally, itwill show up in the latest section. That’s all Tx

I’ve been using this app on my old iPad for at least a year or so and recently after I’ve come back to using for about two weeks it’s showing a issue screen and telling me to try again in a bit even though I have and it’s been like that for 2-3 days now which is annoying because I’m almost done with Youth

Honestly I don’t hate this app, it lets me watch what I want to watch basically for free but, the insane amount of adds drives me crazy!!! Also I am not going to spend money on an app that has soo many glitches it’s practically useless at times. There is no 10s skip which is annoying, it keeps exiting out of the movies I want to watch and every time it exits out I have to watch all over again the stupid freaking long adds. I really hope that this gets fixed soon if not then I’ll probably just end up deleting the app cause all of these faults are just to annoying to deal with.

I’m trying to My Amazing Boyfriend 2 on my iPad and your app keeps crashing it seems to be just this everything else I’ve watched has been stable so far. I was considering buying a subscription so I can continue watching Absolute Boyfriend but don’t want to waste my money if you can’t stabilise the app.

The content is actually wonderful, it’s the app that’s the main problem. Navigating is a nightmare in both the website’s and the app’s interface. A hint to the platform designers, tuni and viki are great standards. The app does not even respect device orientation smh. For some reason, the coders think their contents are best watched upside down. Well, I can only tolerate that for 5 minutes lol. But for all of you drama fans, the free month trial is a steal. Until they fix the orientation issue, try it out then cancel... like mwah.

I absolutely love this app!!! It has so many shows that I can’t have access to on other websites and the subtitles are in sync and don’t block the screen. I just wish they made it easier to navigate to shows you’re currently watching instead of having to go through recents and all the episodes just to find the show title.

Still no favorites tab anywhere to see in 2023! Key features are still missing all across all their platforms, they never put your saved/ collections/ favorites tabs anywhere. And on fire tv there’s Difficult buttons just to save content and it always plays things you didn’t ask them to. I can never feel comfortable upgrading when basic features are not on a streaming service I use

I just got a new phone and started downloading this and after I downloaded it I tried to sign back in to my other account and won’t let me why in the wrld y’all won’t let me sign me in to my old account I need watch my shows and movies that I really need to continuing watching them plz just let me sign back in to my old account. Thx

Has a great selection of movies and shows I really do like! But you’re going to have to memorize their names if you want to go back and re watch or continue where you left off. There’s an option to heart your shows and movies, but the app doesn’t have a dedicated section where you can look at them all in one place. Is this feature locked behind premium? I don’t know, but I hope not.

I love using AsianCrush, firstly they give really old and really new dramas, and also lots of different genres. When I’m the mood for anything scary or horror I can still go to AsianCrush. The only thing is I always get the same ads and ugh it’s so annoying, but if you mute them and do something in the mean time time will go by fast and you can watch the drama!

Y’all are crazy this is the best app you guys are just saying all bad things about it but all I have to say is good things this is an amazing app every show I watch is so good I love the app. There’s one thing that bothers me and it’s that there’s a lot of ads in the ads are really long it’s OK I can get through it but overall this is the best app and you should totally get it

I wish there’s a skip button when you don’t want to watch some scenes. Also sometime when you go back to a show it starts it from beginning, not where you left off. Some features needs to be updated to be more user friendly.

Whenever I got this I was aware of the ads and there not too bad, just repetitive. Also, it cracks me up that it advertises AsianCrush ON AsianCrush. XD. One of the major issues however, is that IT DOESN'T SAVE YOUR SPOT. I was watching a movie and then I had to go to bed and I was going to finish it today, BUT IT DIDN'T SAVE MY PROGRESS. I didn’t remember exactly where I was on it so it was quite frustrating. I would appreciate it if in your next update you fixed it to where it saves your spot.

This app would be good IF it will have current content , but all I see if old series and movies a few recent movies and series but nothing new ! I paid for the year subscription but I canceled it right away once I surfed the app and didn’t see new series or movies ! Is very stable but why would I paid to see old series ? I used to paid the same price for drama fever ! So sad they canceled it !

This app is good it has top notch dramas and more but it’s just sometimes it doesn’t show the full English translation like I’ll be watching it and then they say something else in Korean or something more but it doesn’t seem to translate it. I know this is true because I know A little bit Korean and sometimes I can tell they are saying something else but it doesn’t translate so yeah

Well the movie selection they have is great but there are several problems -Rewind If u want to rewind there is no 10 seconds back or 10 seconds forward which makes it hard for me to rewind and every time I rewind it takes to to an ad -Subtitles The subtitles are not complete, I speak English and the subtitles aren’t accurate and they don’t finish up the sentence, I speak enough Korean to know that what they put in the subtitles aren’t true, please fix that, I want to enjoy the movie but it’s hard to when I don’t understand

I get that I have to watch commercials to watch for free but the commercials are long and repetitive. I’m not sure it’s even worth watching for free if I have to endure the same (long) commercials over and over. Other apps make you watch commercials but they are short, making it easier to tolerate. On AsianCrush I’ve stopped watching movies just because I couldn’t stand the commercials anymore.

I love that this app has many movies and genres but sometimes it’s hard to browse when you don’t know what you want to watch. More keywords would be helpful. Also, connecting actors and actresses under all their works would be good too. Sometimes I’ll like a drama with specific actors an cannot find other ones with the same actors easily. This makes me want to use your app less.

Super cool but I am having format issues. The main display where the shows should be showcasing is blank and the show options are at the bottom of screen and will only let me see small amounts at a time making it difficult to make selection. Video is good. Selection is pretty cool so far. Format update would make this 5⭐️✨

I had had a paid subscription for quite awhile, and always casted to my tv through chromecast. Suddenly I couldn’t cast anything, anymore, even though my subscription was paid. Wrote to customer service, waited a couple of weeks, or more, and finally cancelled. Never did hear back from them. It’s been nearly a year.

Listen don’t get me wrong this app has a lot of great shows and movies but that’s about it this app will not save your place in a movie or show, and also if you want to go back to re watch a scene it will start over the whole thing it will not go back a few seconds. Second ads soooo many ads you can’t watch anything without the ads and sometime it can be 6 ads and it can be the same as over and over again it is so annoying do not download listen the reviews don’t be a fool like I was

Two BIG problems: 1. Even though I purchased Premium thru Roku (no problems there, no ads), I still am getting ads when using the app (yes I’m signed in of course) Problem 2: Even though I reported this problem (now several times) on the app thru they’re ‘feedback’ link on the app, not only do they not fix the problem but they also don’t respond via email at all! Unacceptable! Not just bad customer service, it seems nonexistent! I’m trying to be patient but will cancel soon if they don’t fix.
