THEY HAVE AN ESSAY/PAPER WEBSITE

This is the first review I’ve ever written but I have to say I’m impressed. Im not sure how to write a review on their essay website so I am going to do it here. It is currently 2:20 AM, I decided I did not need their subscription for 400k+ essays (and they literally mean over 400k) not because it was bad but because I’m not going to school anymore. It helped me write an entrance essay in 1 hour for a nursing program when I was having literal writers block for a month. The reason why I am so impressed is because of their customer service. I needed to cancel my subscription and the only way to do that was by emailing their support team. I got nervous when it said they would respond in no more than 12 hours but sent the email at 1:50 am anyway. I kid you not, I received a response within 20 minutes with my subscription canceled and a, short & sweet “thank you for your time.” I’m impressed. There was no delay, it was very timely, convenient, and very easy to do. There was also no one trying to convince me to stay subscribed to their site. When I decide to go back to school, you better bet I will be resubscribed in an instant. Thank you!

Great

Don’t ask for answers during a test, it takes a long minute before you get your answers. Other than that, this app is great. Answer from experts really help you understand better than the teachers do, honestly. I’ve gotten so much help from this app in just the first two days that I’ve been using it. Definitely recommend, but one peice of advice. If your in a time crisis, and need something answered quick. You’ve got the wrong app.

Awful company policy

A free trial of bartleby learn came with one of my textbooks, so I included it when I checked out of my university bookstore. After checking out I decided that I didn’t want the service, so I didn’t complete registration when prompted. You can’t access the service without registering, so I reasoned that my trial would not begin until completing registration. A month later I was surprised to see that I was charged 9.99, but I should have expected this. If you give a company your payment information, they’ll charge you no matter what. And guess what? Under no circumstance are refunds given. It’s clear that bartleby does not care about the quality of their service, nor do they care about customer satisfaction. One thing is clear: they do care about your money. Edit: after stating my case and a little back and forth, I eventually received a refund.

Helpful.. but Barlteby needs to fix some things.

This app is helpful. But there are some times when I send a question in, I get back an answer that is written out by hand and I can’t read it at all and then I have to resubmit the question again. Some of these “experts” have the sloppiest handwriting. I would never turn something in to my professor with handwriting the way these experts write. There are times when I have to sit there for several minutes trying to figure out what they wrote. There are also a lot of bugs and glitches on their website, and I always have trouble logging in. I had trouble pausing my subscription in between semesters due to system glitches, so I emailed them about it, and they never responded.

SUPER WONKY APP

I love concept of this app, and don’t get me wrong, it has indeed helped me get things done. BUT… the APP itself is super wonky as well as using the app mobile In browser. It’s so uncomfortable to ask questions and navigate in the app/mobile website. It’s nice to use on PC but realistically, most people who are going to be doing live chats or asking questions about a problem are going to want to do it mobile. It’s more comfortable to take a photo on your phone and submit the question, also nice to have it on the go. It’s just so wonky and trash on mobile on the app and browser. Please fix it and make it more comfortable.

KEPT CHARGING AFTER DELETING ACCOUNT

WARNING! DO NOT download this app! After you get a subscription from these people, they will keep charging your card even after you deleted your account + the app! I can’t file a complaint about this issue due to the fact I’ve deleted my account so now I have to run to the bank and deal with this situation another way. How is it possible for an app to keep charging after your canaceld the subscription and your account? I have no idea. But this app would for sure make it possible. They also will charge 25-30$ twice a month which isn’t close to what their subscription offers at all! They will steal your money! Extremely disappointing.

The app does not load after asking a question

The app would show a blank white screen. I assumed it was just taking a while to load, but my question was already uploaded on the website. It's a good app in terms of being able to take pictures and uploading it for asking questions with that, but right after submitting the question it would show a white screen for a long time. And would continue to do so even after restarting the app and restarting my phone. The only way to ask questions would be to delete and download the app again.. So that's really frustrating. But Bartleby itself is a great source for help. It's just the app.

Yeah no

They use to give you 10 free questions now it’s just 5 like what and they even have the audacity to lower the number even when everyone is struggling financially. Let’s not talk about how long they take to answer a simple question. Almost a day. I needed help in my test which was timed but I got an answer the next day. Yeah it’s not worth it! Just use quanda instead

Very Helpful

I was skeptical using this all but when I took a picture of my work and sent it it took a while to get a responds so I was a lil disappointed and lost hope but then I received a detailed response to the question that gave me more than I expected!! So i wouldn’t recommend it for things that you have a short amount of time on

it wouldn’t let me make an account

I downloaded the app and I tried either signing in with my Google account or make a new account and it just wouldn’t let me pass the screen that was asking me to use my Google or just create an account. It would either load and I will take me back to the same old screen and I even tried like uninstalling it and reinstalling it afterwards and it didn’t do anything but do the same thing over and over again so it made me mad so I just deleted it this app is not worth your time if it’s gonna just do all that.

Rip Off

This private/For Profit company has absolutely NOTHING to do with anybody’s Community College course work. Unfortunately some schools are advertising This company within the course work section of the School Book Store as if it does…. BE ADVISED This Company Has Absolutely Nothing To Do With Your Courses ~~~ P.S. I originally wrote this as a response to a charge on My account. That charge occurred because I forgot to cancel My subscription. The subscription occurred because it was set inside My school’s bookstore under the Course Materials section. At that time, Our Course Materials simply were not being made available ~ In conclusion, This entity was very straight forward and rapidly removed My subscription the same day I notified Them of My error. For That I Must Thank Them ~ Thank You Bartleby ~~~

Great help

Asking questions and getting a breakdown on how to answer it really helps as an example for other questions I was trying to solve but couldn’t figure out the steps on where I was getting something wrong.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I used to work at a college bookstore where we sold this. I never used it while I had a free subscription and I hate that I spent money to use it now. I have tried to get help with three separate statistic questions now - something they advertise they can help you with - and every time it has rejected the questions. WASTE OF MONEY! Just go ahead and spend the extra couple dollars to get Chegg because this service will not help you

Awesome answers

I needed to reference a college-level engineering book and the solutions were better than the solutions manual that comes with the book. Solutions were more complete easier and easier to read - way worth it!

I just got this app Desperately needing help I was a little skeptical because of how low the rates was but this is a good app . They respond very quick . And leave a explanation. I haven’t had any problems yet but so far a Good app :)

Awful password requirements 😡

The password requirements are so stupid because I tried to create an account while signing in and it asked my to put a password in with 6 characters, including 1 capital letter and 1 number then while I did that, nothing worked and it kept on telling me to try again and that is why this app so messed up with requirements. THIS APP NEEDS TO BE FIXED WITH THE PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS and to make understandable

Not even worth it

At first it was always 10 questions but all of a sudden it’s 5 questions and let’s not talk about how long y’all take to answer a question. I will need help with my homework and y'all would reply the next game or in hours. I subscribed where you could ask 30 questions and it won’t even let me ask a question they took my money and I want it back.

Meh

This app is good but only if you can wait. They give you answers quick but there’s always an error when I ask another question, and then it puts me on a white screen. Then I won’t be able to access the app unless I delete them download it back.

Always Get Rejected Answers!!

This is so aweful. Every single time I ask questions, random chemistry questions that totally 100% multiple choice questions THEY ALWAYS GET REJECTED!!! This is incredibly annoying and not worth paying $10 a month for absolutely nothing but getting rejected answers! Its totally annoying. I will not be a returning customer, going to chegg sorry.

Long but worth it

Does take a bit to get a response I’d mostly use for homework but can we like get a thank you button because the answer is always right and they show you the work you need and give a great explanation of things!

Scammers

Was offered a 90 day free trial at my University bookstore and told I would not be charged unless I went online and activated the account. I was charged immediately, and because I had no account had no way of canceling the “subscription.” Every month for 2 years I have been forced to dispute the charges through my bank.

Takes super long

I mean its great and it gives you the answers correctly but it takes super long to get the answers I’ve waited almost three hours to get their reply:( but it still a good app

Bug for seeing interpretation and solved answer for textbook

The iPad app always glitches and doesn’t show the answers for the textbook questions… very annoying and I have to use my laptop.

Glitches to white screen

Normally I like this app but once I submit a question I need help on. I get a white screen and it doesn’t go away. It’s super frustrating because you can’t access the rest of the app.

the worst

it was a great app BUT when I try to renew it, wasn’t working and plus when it paid for it it only gave me 3 QUESTIONS not 30 when it took money out for 9.99. Plus they take so long to answer and sometimes it’s wrong and u wasted a whole question on a wrong answer !!!

Does not work after renewal

After I forgot to pay the monthly fee and it declined, I payed the subscription, and the app still did not continue to grant me access to answer. Even though I payed, the error bar still pops up saying I did not. Not allowing me to see answers.

Predatory reliance on cancellation

Even Chegg sends you an email once in awhile reminding you that you actually have a subscription. Not Bartelby. They go into deep silence after one welcome message and charge you every month regardless of use. No reminders, no tips, just credit card charges. Evil.

This service takes advantage of college students. Any other service would issue a refund if you dont use the service for years. This service will not. Shady. They do not care about anyone

Do not download this app！

They never tell u they will keep ur card information and privacy data after u cancel ur subscription. They don’t even have customer service to answer ur question. All they have is robot and automatic reply.

Charged but can’t access

I signed up for an account and not only did I get charged $9.99 instead of the $4.99 for the first month deal, but I am still not able to access me account. I have signed out of the app and signed back in and I still can’t see the answers.

Not so very good

When I opened the app I was trying to use every option to have a account, it doesn’t do anything and it wouldn’t let me have a account or anything that is in the app but it completely ignores.

AWFUL

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THE PLAN. I cancelled it after a month and they are still charging me $9.99 AFTER THE FACT that i cancelled it already. I do NOT trust them with my money. I WANT MY REFUND. I already emailed them about this and I’m still waiting on a response and action. Extremely disappointed!

Wrong Answers

The answers were wrong to multiple questions. As soon as I realized that, I requested a refund which was denied. The only thing I could do is cancel my service and not be charged next month.

I do not recommend. I had a test to do in math I only had 30 min, it literally took more than 30 min to get the answer back to me. So use it if you want to, I do not recommend.
