If they ever get around to paying attention to it. It’s almost as if they’re hoping people will get frustrated enough to give up and find a paying way to watch their programming on top of the subscription cost we already paid. Commercials break into episodes mid scene, audio video sync issues especially if casting to a television and finally the episodes take weeks to update IE if the ep was broadcast today don’t expect to see it on the app for a week or 3 minimum. But it’s better than nothing and that is why I’ve given a second star.

I feel lucky to even be able to see Doctor Who, so, as far as I’m concerned...I love this app! I appreciate the only app that allows me to see these shows. And trust me, you aren’t going to find them anywhere else, especially for free. So, endure the adds...critique them, judge their acting ability, ponder on the fact that they spent millions to make them and most are just irritating and never clever (like good ol’ Cal Worthington -N- his dog spot), go get food, whatever¿...just know that being able to see these fantastic shows is a gift...and purchasing them would be beyond expensive! :O ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And be thankful that they aren’t doing the interactive adds; where you have to choose between surveying one commercial, or watching 5/6 of them :(............

This is one of the worst streaming apps I've come across since I got Apple TV. It makes watching something extremely difficult, if you can even find it. Trying to rewind or fast forward just makes it jump to a random spot and always plays the same ads first. The 10 sec back or forward function is not available. When I turn subtitles on they turn off after every ad break and I have to keep turning them on. Sometimes they don't turn on at all. Sometimes when I pause it refuses to resume, or it goes to the settings menu but doesn't actually let me choose anything in the settings or exit. The only way I've been able to get out is by going back to Apple TV, deleting this app and reinstalling. All these things have just happened to me trying to watch 1 episode of Killing Eve, but they all happened before. It's seriously awful. No other TV channel or streaming app I've used has been this bad.

Started off liking this app, but every single time I try logging in the app crashes. When I was able to log in and watch a show, if I tried fast forwarding the app would go backwards to the last commercial break. Also, when you want to watch something like Top Gear, you'd figure they'd list the most recent episode first...nope. "We figured we didn't make you work hard enough to get into the app...try finding the exact episode you want out of a messy drop down menu." Good luck to whoever tries this app out.

this is the WORST media player I have ever seen. Glitched repeatedly through an entire series, ads would break into the middle of scenes, restart them, skip them altogether, but it saved the worst for last. Could not finish the episode — from the second segment on, had to watch part or all of it multiple times to see the next one. Just before the last segment of the entire series, it went back to the middle of the ep AGAIN. Was never able to watch the end, even after 2 hours of trying. I am deleting this piece of crap and never installing it again.

Updating because 1. The chromecast option still isn’t working 2. The glitches in this thing are terrible. Watching an episode when all of a sudden it freezes and then re starts you from the beginning! And trying to fast forward to get back to where you were is frustrating when it only gives you the 15sec forward option. 3. If you leave the app and come back to it, it doesn’t let you start from where you left off. Although it does give you the option to, it still just starts you from the beginning again. This app is just frustrating and horrible to use overall

I've used at least 7 other streaming apps and none compare to this frustration. Impossible to rewind just a few seconds if you miss something. End up stuck with ads popping up at weird times then just skipped forward about half the show. Didn't capture where I left off last time and too difficult to find the right spot and then actually have it play from there after it decides to shove in more ads but then starts playing from somewhere else in the program. Having to login into my provider again and again is only a minor pain compared to all the other glitches.

Of all the apps I have for various channels and streaming services, this is hands down the worst. Commercials that drop right in the middle of a scene, freezing, and god help you if you try to forward or rewind. Tap the “15 second” button either direction, and you are spinning a roulette wheel. See where it lands! Most likely all the way back to the beginning. Conveniently, if you try to fast-forward back to where you were, it keeps sending you back to the beginning. Everyone associated with the design of this app should be sacked, and banned from working in the industry again!

I use this on my Apple TV. I’ve been trying to watch Killing Eve but it’s impossible. Every time the Zales commercial comes on, my app crashes and closes. Then I have to open the app and go through an entire commercial break all over again, and then when that’s over, I have to scroll through and try to find my spot in the show where it crashed. Even when I choose “Resume” instead of “Restart,” the episode starts over from the beginning. I can see months of similar complaints in the reviews, so I can’t believe the app hasn’t been fixed yet. This is what happens when companies refuse to fund tech support.

There were some issues with transitions to commercials not aligning with the set breaks (so commercials would start a few seconds after the break in the show were the commercial was supposed to be). I noticed that first on airplay and chrome cast. Well, now it appears chrome cast has been disabled as of this version, and airplay has issues pairing with my vizio tv. However on my phone it seems to work fine so far.

Love the shows but the app does not work. Crashes constantly. Have to delete and reinstall to to get functioning again on new iPad with up to date iOS. Freezes in middle of play. Impossible to get started again. Hold viewed shows is incomplete. Advertising overload. Every time playback fails, you have to watch 2 minutes of advertising to get back to the show. Then adjust the the point of failure and another 2 minutes of adverting only to have the show crash immediately after. Note the advertising never fails.

Unable to rewind easily. Ads do not transition smoothly. They come in at what appears to be the end of a scene but you’re not sure. And sometimes they don’t transition out of the ad correctly so then you miss part of the next scene. And without ability to rewind easily, it becomes frustrating quickly. If you scroll back too far on the timeline then it repeats the ad and you end in a vicious loop. Otherwise the quality of the app is fine.

There were only a handful of shows and movies on the app and none of them would play, there was no menu anywhere that I could find, and nothing would come up in the search. I downloaded the app because I love the channel and Dr. Who but I could not watch or find anything! Please fix whatever bugs you have. I would love to use this app. Also, I tried to use the app on my son’s Xbox and it has an error message and would not work there either. Something is definitely wrong with the entire app.

This is by far the worst streaming app I’ve come across. It keeps glitching, closing out, & making you rewatch commercials to get back to your program. Most of the time it doesn’t even load the program back after the ad is over! There were NINE ads per commercial break, and the commercial breaks came after only 2-5 mins of programming, only for the program to glitch out. I spent half an hour to watch 7 minutes of Killing Eve. Not worth it at all.

I’ve not been able to make it through one single movie. Every time an add starts it changes my playback position. If I try to adjust it manually, it freezes then plays another add then changes position again. If I try to go forward or back 15 seconds, it will automatically play another add then rewind for maybe 30 minutes. There’s just no playback control making it unusable. I am using it on an iPhone 6s but it does the same on my other iPhone 7plus. Definitely needs a good bit of work.

Watching ‘live’ the NY2020 Doctor Who right now, and the stream shifted back to the very beginning of the first episode of the 13th Doctor. This happens almost every single ad break on regular streaming, and it’s infuriating. In addition, every single time I open BBCA I’m forced to login, and sometimes I’ll be halfway though program and it will reset and force me to login again, even though I did 30 minutes before, Your app is practically useless. And it certainly was useless to watch the new Doctor Who this evening.

About half the time when I try to use the app on Apple TV, it says “You are not authorized to view this channel.” I tried logging out and back in, and the activation page on the phone’s browser says I’m signed in, but I still keep getting the message and can’t watch anything. I tried reinstalling the app and cycling the power on the Apple TV, but that didn’t do any good. All of my other streaming apps work fine.

This app is pretty straightforward and easy to use. Yes there are ads but not so much and not so frequent that it interrupts the viewing experience. The app streams its videos in high quality and I thoroughly enjoy watching some of the shows on the app. Keep up the good work and I honestly don’t know why there are so many negative reviews.

I never write reviews, but it’s quite frustrating that I am willing to pay for your app to be able to watch Doctor Who and Killing Eve, etc. However, there’s no option for streaming outside of a cable provider. I don’t want cable when everything else I watch is available via apps/streaming services. Please give us an option for streaming at a fair price.

I have watched the exact same commercial probably a thousand times by now. It shows about 6-8 times per commercial break and those come very frequently. It’s making me question my sanity. Normally, I’d find the number of commercial breaks, comparatively, excessive and would be complaining about that. This is so bad that I mainly just want the repetitive commercial madness to end, that’s all. I will never buy a Chevy again and it’s their fault with their horrible programming. Get your crap together. Shame on you.

Before the last update would crash and then start me back at the very beginning of the show with no way to skip back ahead. Adds would play and then send me back to beginning again. Since last update doesn’t even let me log in with my tv provider goes straight to the billing page for that provider. I definitely still have bbca through the provider and no issues logging in with other tv provider apps using the same log in information.

I’m a little puzzled when cable channels require a cable subscription to use their mobile app and not an option to subscribe directly to the channel through their app. I am not about to subscribe to cable just to watch one show. Give me an option to pay a fee bucks a month for BBCA and I’m almost definitely going to do it!

I used to love this app, but now the sound slips out of sync, the same commercial plays 4 times in a row during the same break, and if you leave the app and come back later to resume your show, it starts back in some random part of the episode that wasn’t where you left off. I keep looking for an update, but haven’t had any luck. Bummer.

This app is terrible. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app on my Apple TV and iPad to see if that would help, but is didnt. I open the app and choose the show I want to watch. Then the show begins with the 1st ad, and then freezes. I have been trying to reboot and reinstall the app for 4 days now and nothing. This app needs to be fixed. It’s very disappointing when there are so many apps, this app is having this many problems.

The app works decently, but needs a better rewind feature. My issue is the content management. Often times it says full episodes are available only they are not available. Biggest frustration is I am paying for Graham Norton show by watching the ads and happy to do it. But they are not readily available for accessible.

Rating only the app and not the material available (which is excellent, there will one hopes be even more of it :)) it seems to be much better than previously.

When I try to watch Killing eve it just buffers. It never starts. Every other streaming app that I watch on my phone works just fine. Adding to my previous review with the fact that they remove their biggest show from the app. For real? Season 2 of killing eve is all “extras only.” Wow! I downloaded it again to give it a shot and try to watch it. And now all of the episodes are gone. Probably the worst app experience I have ever had.

The app was working great for me, and I wanted to watch Doctor Who because I missed about 9 minutes of the first episode of season 11. I searched up Doctor Who (because it didn’t show up on the main page), and it only had extras. Maybe it’s because they just started season 11? If that’s the case, I’m willing to try it out, but I jut hope it doesn’t disappoint...

I was optimistic when I downloaded this app. Every time it takes a commercial break he plays the same ad over and over and over for about a minute and a half and then plays maybe two other commercials. After that it seems to skip ahead for no reason. If it hasn’t had an update in two months I’m willing to bet that the designers have abandoned it.

How did somebody pass off on this glitch ridden, comically organized, CD-rom’esque menu system (that may be offensive to CDrom menu designers come to think of it, I made a pretty cool one for my band’s additional content CD back in the day) anyway. You get he idea. That said, if I get to watch Dr. Who, I’m mostly all good...(.) until the closed captions can’t be turned off on the 2nd episode of Season 12. 🤦‍♂️ Cheerio.

It’s impossible to complete the sign-in and begin watching ANY content. I’ve been working at this for over an hour and keep getting a message that I need to start over and will have lost EVERYTHING I entered. My only regrets are that (1) a film I especially want to see will be playing tomorrow and (2) in order to post this review I had to give the app a 1 star rating. Zero stars would have been more appropriate!😡😡😡😡😡😡

Among other things, on the Apple TV the Closed Caption feature doesn’t work at all. It has a setting that purports to let you turn CC on and off, but either setting results in no CC. In addition, there is no way to contact anyone at BBCA for support. Clicking on the contact field on the web site results in a 404 error message or the page not loading at all.

I got this app to binge Killing Eve. If I’m lucky, it goes thru an entire episode without just spontaneously closing the app. I’m not particularly lucky. At the end of an episode, it doesn’t automatically load the next. It loads another random show instead. Why you would create such high quality entertainment and then tolerate such poor access is beyond me.

Unbelievably rude. Immediately upon first launching this app it was playing a large video ad at me, with audio, before I had even had a chance to pay money to not be advertised at. This is absurdly obnoxious and absolutely unacceptable. I don’t even care if there is a way to make this behavior stop, or if the app is otherwise useable. Deleted immediately.

I never write reviews but I must say this takes the prize for the worst app to stream media--no means to go back to main menu after viewing, no back or forward option, main menu stays in portrait mode (!!) and difficult to figure out how to actually switch to landscape (won't do it until you hit play). No means to automatically go to next ep.... have to shut down app / reboot for that. It's a disaster

This app is generally a 50/50, it either works great or not at all. The only show I watch on BBCA is doctor who and I often have the issue when the loading spindle continues indefinitely and doesn’t load the show. I checked my internet connection and have a excellent speeds so that’s not the issue. Usually I’ll try back the next day and it’s fine. So it’s 50/50 app, either it works or it doesn’t.

I’m trying to finish Doctor Who and I can’t get past season 13 episode one because I had to start my video to do something and when I tried to go back to it I had to find my place again but in order to do that you have to watch NINE ads every single time you tried to move the bar you find your place

One of the worst streaming apps. The app allegedly “lost” it internet connection (not) before getting To get to the end of an episode and I tried to scroll to the end of the shows. The app made it not easy to go to the point the app stopped working and it fed me ENDLESS commercials that I have already seen. Writing this review only makes dislike this app more.

Nothing worse than watching a show, getting through the ads only to have the app crash requiring you to watch more ads to get back to where you were…. Improvements needed to 1. Make the progress work accross devices; 2. Stop the tvOS app from crashing when resuming after an ad break….

This app could’ve been so useful however so many problems; can’t cast on any of my devices, app seems to force close quite a bit, you can’t really control how much your rewinding and fast forwarding by so in situations where the app randomly force closes or just starts from beginning you can’t exactly skip to where you were. Great concept for app however bad execution.

This app is lacking basic performance such as: being able to rewind or go forward. It also seems to have a bug that gets it stuck, usually on an ad and just sits and ticks away w/ no progress. Time consuming & frustrating to use.

I can’t speak to the other versions of this app, but the Apple TV version crashes at every ad break. On the plus side, I don’t have to see any ads, but that’s outweighed by the annoyance of having to restart my program all the time. It’s fine otherwise.

Not sure why it has low reviews as it has worked perfectly for me. All functions work and episodes are great quality!

The shows they show on the commercials to get you to get the app don’t have all the full shows available to watch.

It’s impossible to watch a show. 3-5 minutes of repetitive commercials that are all at awkward moments, sometimes in the middle of dialogue. Go backwards because you miss a line? You might be subject to even MORE commercials. But sometimes when casting it will just crash altogether because it can’t play commercials. So frustrating.

I cannot watch any shows on this app. This is because the sixth largest cable company in the United States is not listed in the provider list. yes, I’m talking about WOW! Website says just check back every so often to see if it’s been added till it’s added. thats crap because I’ve been checking back since like 2018 OR EARLIER.

After getting multiple error messages when trying to watch via a browser (which worked fine until now), I loaded the app to view a program. It won’t let me enlarge the picture on my iPad mini so I have to watch in a tiny window. I will delete the app after watching the program and won’t try watching BBCA on here again.

The Apple TV app is horrendous. It’s so difficult to go back and skip ahead on your proprietary media player. It will just jump around to random spots and makes you rewatch entire sets of ads just to put you at that random spot…just use the default media player. It’s soooo much better.

Downloaded the app to watch a specific tv show, yet all you see on the landing page are suggestions for a few shows. The menu bar only allows you to search their movies, no shows and there is no “magnifying glass” icon anywhere to search. Useless, no need to download.

By far worst quality Apple TV app. Completely unreliable and often hangs necessitating reboot of the Apple TV box. Mine has permanent sub titles on shows that cannot be turned off from the subtitles menu. Loads of reviews with similar theme and yet there are never any app softwares updates to fix the obvious flaws. Badly managed all round and not worth downloading
