Where to begin
If you like camping, or road trips, or even know what BLM land is, you need to have this. It’s that simple! Kind of want to camp out at what looks like a good enough spot to stop the RV on google earth? There’s probably pictures of it already on Campendium, along with whether it has cell coverage or not, and from which providers. And someone will likely have left a review saying which sizes of RVs could safely turn around down that other road you were looking at. Then take that location, open it in Apple or Google Maps or copy the GPS coordinates for further planning. My favorite anecdotes from the last year of using it all boil down to “a few reviews warned how bad this six miles of washboard road are, which would have deterred us otherwise, but they said it was worth it so we kept going and it WAS; or not knowing where to stay in an area and finding some unmarked hollow on the side of a mountain, unbelievably scenic but shockingly close to town. There’s so much out there other adventurous folks like you will help you find! Get Campendium, go outside, and stay there.

A Great Experience
We recently stayed at the RV Park after the National Park Campgrounds filled up. We can honestly say that it was a great experience staying at San-Suz-Ed. The new owners Jason & Katie (& family) made us fill right at home, and they are making improvements to the campground daily. We were sad to leave after 4 days, and would have loved to stay longer. The RV Park was full, but it never felt crowded and was always peaceful and quiet at night. We had fun sitting around the community campfire in the evenigs and sharing stories while our daughter made new friends. We definitely recommend this campground to anyone looking, and we will be back next year for sure. Some sites are back in, and others are pull through. We stayed in two sites, 17 & 24. Both sites were easy to get in and didn’t require much to level the trailer, a few block under the tires to help, this is the Mountains after all.

Godsend!
After a full tiring day of exploring Route 66 this campground was the last to be found in Texas until we would get to Tucumcari over an hour away. Weary and tired we were thrilled to have a place to stop. It’s just a big empty dirt lot with space dividers amongst some older buildings. Only one other traveler in the park at this time. Pets are welcome but we don’t have ours. We checked in by phone. Very easy process. Nice shower house. One shower, one toilet BuT two washers and two dryers. Price was $30 which we paid by dropping a check in the drop box. The owners were very available via telephone. Free wifi. Far enough off the road that it was a peaceful nights sleep. We would definitely plan to stay here again. No frills but exactly what we needed when we needed it!

Great Clean New RV Park
This park is an excellent choice in the Lubbock area. Not far from Texas Tech University, downtown, or the many restaurants in that area of town. The young couple who have built this park from the ground up have done an excellent job with the layout allowing ample space between spots. Both husband and wife exhibit excellent and attentive customer service skills when phoned. We pass this park often going to and from visiting family and it seems to consistently attract very nice looking rigs. We have driven through the park on several occasions and all RV’s and side yards appear well kept and the park seems quiet. The young wife was out watering the newly planted sod, and was so sweet when we stopped to ask questions. We hope to stay at this RV park in the future. Highly recommend!

Best kept secret of the southern tip of the Sierras
This is our 2d trip to Red Rock, having stumbled onto this little gem a few years ago on our way to Death Valley. Last time the place was empty on arrival. This time, we arrived at 6p and freaked because the campground was nearly full. We had broken our “get to campground by 1” rule, so I gave hubby the stink eye and tried to blame him. Then, magic. Our favorite spot - #50 - was still vacant! Waiting for us. Ok, it was one of the most unlevel spots in the campground, but who cares? That’s what levelers are for, right? Gorgeous sunset, and now spectacular pink sunrise. Warm during the day, freakin cold at night. They now have free WIFI! So hubby was pretty happy that he could still work (and watch Netflix). The trail right near #50 did not have a “no dogs” sign, so as soon as I finish writing this I’m outta here with Sofie & Tyler!

Wonderful!!!!
This park was such a nice place to stay! It reminded us of a park in the 50’s or 60’s—play areas with sand and no signs that your kid could skin their leg:). Picnic tables everywhere and I. Great repair/. Frisbee golf set up and city pool right next to it. Friendly town. Someone dropped off a whole tableful of stuff for a party and left—must be safe. Very clean. Nice restrooms and dump station. Horned owl serenaded us all night (good sounds) with very little road noise despite being close to the highway. Easy to get rigs in and out, even at night in the dark. It was not busy for us but it is April so not too many RVs out. There was one other one there. We would have been happy to stay here for a day or two. 👍👍👍.

Jouflas Campground
We needed to take a break from regular campgrounds and be kind to our wallet. Driving from Kingman AZ to Colorado Springs CO to deliver my daughters dogs to her. This place was a perfect lay over and rest spot away from all the hustle and bustle. Exit 2 off of interstate 70 before we cross over to Utah. They say no big rigs but we like to off road a bit in our 30’. It was safe enough to do so at least to the first spot. Tucked away and far enough off the beaten trail. They also say 7 days stay. We also drove to the RV area. Nice roads and big spaces but we wanted to be away from all semi, car and train noises as possible. We already did a week of that. They also have 4 horse-stalls with plenty of area to ride. This place you can ride your horse, motorcycle, quad ,razor and everything is pretty well marked. We also saw some antelope grazing. The only downside we saw was the trash that someone prior had left behind. Why do inconsiderate people ruin such a nice place? Of course we picked up there mess and fully love it here. We will be heading to Utah and see some sites before heading home. Happy trails!

WHAT A TREASURE!!!
Loved every minute here (dogs & kids did too)! Nestled in the trees off Hwy 67 (yes, you can hear the traffic, but it’s not bad) is a hidden gem of a “glampground” Happenstance brought us here and we’ll never forget it. Cell service was great, neighbors were friendly, and the water is SO CLEAR! Found perch, small mouth bass and lots of tadpoles. Bring your water shoes, cause the rocks are slippery, but so much fun to play in, or relax to the sounds of the water moving between the rocks. Campground is super clean. RV sites are a little tight for such an open spaced place, but still more room than lots of other places we’ve stayed. Everything is clearly marked, hiking trails aren’t overgrown (I always get nervous the poisonous plants will invade a trail) and there’s even a couple of horseshoe pits and picnic areas for extra fun. Check-in is super simple, e-mail instructions were clear and easy to follow (although I couldn’t find the phone number and had to get it off Facebook) making it a smooth start to a lovely visit. Thank you Fredrock! Can’t wait to come back!

Constellation Park is a great spot!
Know nothing about the area around Wickenburg, we turned to Campendium to find a spot to spend the night on our way to Tucson. Other area campgrounds were full for the night; even so, we look for opportunities to boondock. The dirt road in was easy to navigate in our 28’ Airstream and we found a nice spot that was nearly level. The lights from the town are pretty at night, and if it wasn’t so unseasonably cold (and then rained off and on most of the night) we would have really enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the quiet, the view, and the stars. It was easy driving out in the morning even though the ground was very wet from rain. It’s a great deal for $8!

Gated, Grass, Dog Friendly, Great Staff
We had reservations set for a month. Enjoyed it so much that we stayed for 3 months. We were greeted by Brye & Salem, and enjoyed them the entire visit. Their knowledge of the area, love for animals and amazing work ethic made them approachable and great to interact with. I don’t think they ever stopped working! The park is landscaped weekly and most all sites have access to grass. Lots of room to walk the dogs. Daily garbage pickup at your site & recycling bags provided. Just set your propane tank out, and it will be filled and returned. Mail/Package deliveries made to the office for easy pickup. 2 laundry rooms with coins accessible in the office.

Really nice river stop!
We thought we would stop here for 1 night but decided to stay 2. We stayed in Area 1 which has a few locations down the hill. The middle one has a concrete picnic table, grill and firepit. Restroom with pit toilet is nearby. All locations are right in the river. Lots of room to turn around and for dogs to play. Downside is that there is a steep hill going down. Roads are ok. Sit almost level. The sound of the river running was wonderful and we really enjoyed the site. Will definitely come back when we are out this way. Also we saw no bugs and no wildlife. Free

the closer you are to 95, the more crowded. Having written that . . . the desert is a HUGE place and even during the shows in January, getting a decent spot is not difficult. the road extends fro miles up to and over Quinn pass and there are lots of really nice and quite spots to pick, even for big rigs. Ours is 40’ and no problems. We went about 4 miles out and found a quite private spot with beautiful views of the mountains. Site are very level for the most part. Cell service, not so good, but we have a weboost that got our Verizon bars up to 4 on 5g.

Invaluable for my travels
This is my go-to app and website for finding campsites. I always turn on the “free” filter and then start looking for BLM or other spots everywhere I go. I love that you can click a button and it will open up google maps with directions to that spot. It is also useful having reviews with photos and info about cell service in that area. I’m always doing random road-trips and camping this is one of my essential tools for making that work. Thank you for making this free to use.

Boon docking at its best
This was an unexpected stop for us but we so enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness of this location. We ventured down past the first two stops then turned around and stayed at first spot on left about 3/4 miles in. Stayed 2 days. Our teenagers loved the place as we were right by the cell tower and they had amazing internet. (T-Mobile) We did a few hikes and enjoyed them, next time we take atv’s! The only thing that shocked us was how much traffic in and out there was. (Nothing bad) just caught us off guard at 11pm

Cotati Park & Ride
Before staying here for 1 night, I had called campgrounds & RV parks in the area. Local KOA was $89 w/hookups & still high for dry camping. I’m in a Skoolie. In Sonoma-Casinos will not let you park either unless you gamble & then not overnight. I’m from California but I can only say how uninviting this state is to travelers compared to other west coast locations. I found the park & ride to be just fine (yeah & the rooster does start crowing in the early morning hours 😱) Traffic noise but it diminishes after midnight. No other overnighters here but also no knocks on the door. Recommend for the weary w/ nowhere to go & it’s late. 👍😎🚌

Beware sharing your credit card info with Campendium
Beware giving Campendium your payment details. They are immoral operators. Campendium automatically set your membership to auto renewal. Unlike most vendors that ethically will send you a reminder that a fee is due and will be deducted, Campendium will send you no information. No email, no pushed notification,…, nothing. They’ll simply deduct the fee. When I emailed them to ask about it they simply stated that the terms and conditions state that the auto renewal is the default and that they cannot refund the fee unless the request occurs before the renewal date. End of story… This may be because they’re now with Roadtrippers and all they care about is money. I’d recommend using another App that has ethical management.

Smithsonian Butte
Zion park was a zoo on March 30th 2019 and all parks were full due to spring break. We hadn’t really figured we’d stay and are always giving our free spots first option and boy I’m glad we did. This Butte was like your own Zion experience with zero people at the very top and along a side road which boarders a canyon and breath taking views. We were in our 4x4 sprinter revel and needed every bit of it to master the tight corners, rocks and dips it needed to navigate. Definitely no big rigs past the first set of turnouts. Shared the top with a few mountain bikers but never saw them much. Could have stayed forever!!

Spirit of Suwannee Music Park
We planned to stay for a week but it was so well kept and chill we extended our stay to 10 days. Got a perfect spot side by side with our friends. Easy hook ups, clean and powerful showers with new tile and great hot water pressure. The grounds are a beautiful 800 some odd acres. Bird sanctuary, bat houses, a fun graffiti bridge you can tag (and read), and affordable golf carts for rent to tool around the lovely acreage. There are music events we were not on time for, disc golf, horses, and atleast 1 tree house that should not be missed! Highly recommended. I look forward to returning for music once the world rights itself!

You have to pay for a “Pro Subscription” to save a campsite
No disrespect to the developers of this app, I always respect and appreciate those individuals whoa re willing to put the time into making a beautifully designed app. That being said, the people on the business end what kills this app for me. I have to pay a subscription to like/favorite/save a campsite I’m thinking about going to? Pass. I’ll stick with community-based apps that don’t operate for-profit yet offer the same option for me to screenshot that spot

Nice Place for a Stop Off
We stayed one night on our way north to visit family. The park was well tended, and the camp spots in the back row felt really secluded from the park ( there are some that are kind of circling the ball fields), we were in spot 12. There are nice paths to walk your dogs that are even lit at night making things a bit easier ( still remite feeling so take precautions. The electricity worked as promised and the dump station was an added bonus. If you want a space doe a day or three at a fair price this is it.

A campground that is a labor of love.
Very well kept. Actual grass. Also about 8 vintage trailers which are also available for overnight stays. This campground right off the highway is very convenient to Lava Hotsprings. A creek runs through it. The playground is comprised of antique play equipment rescued from other places. Reasonable price. We never saw a host or owner, but didn't need to as we checked in online. We had about five neighbors at this late in the year date. Highway noise, but it fades into the night and wasn't a bother at all.

Long Branch Rv Park - Heaven!
If anyone has seen the movie 7 days in Utopia - this place is Utopia!! The best nights sleep I believe we’ve ever had. So quiet you could literally hear a feather drop! Beautiful, beautiful horse farm with other animals - ducks, mallards, cute little chicks in a coop and the birds are always singing - I would too if I lived here!!! Christine was so sweet to give exact instructions of how to get there and it’s only 2 1/2 miles from I10 - an easy drive and you feel soooo far away. LOVE this place!!!! Wish I could give 10 stars!!

Nifty feature - map link
Just downloaded the app and immediately can tell this is a keeper. Easy and intuitive, actual user reviews, photos, etc. One nifty feature i noticed is the option to “show in maps”, which then gave me the option to use google maps (or other map apps if you prefer them). Sweet. No flipping back and forth trying to view the campground in satellite or street view, or messing with a map app you’re not familiar with. Very handy! 5 stars just for that haha. Seems to be an app made by campers for campers.

Perfect app for wanderers
I’ve been using this app for over a year now and it has brought me to some of the most beautiful campgrounds. I’m a big penny pincher so the fact that you can search for free or cheap sites is my favorite part. You’re able to read others reviews and browse pictures before heading to the site. It even links your map apps to the gps coordinates ensuring you can get there stress (and paper map) free. I’ve recommended this app to all my fellow traveling friends. Thanks Campendium for helping me find some hidden treasures!

Great place and very friendly staff
The family and I pulled in late night and just chose a spot to rest for the night. The staff was very welcoming the next morning. I ended up booking for one more night just because of the staff and the beautiful seclusion of the park. We stayed in spot 14 which is set back in the park and right next to the creek which kept the kiddos busy for hours. This place is about 8 miles down a graveled and dirt road, but definitely worth the 20 minute drive. We would definitely stay if we ever visit again.

Best camping destination review and finder app
I always refer to Campendium first when picking camping destinations...now things have become even easier with the app. The user interface is intuitive and the campground reviews (including cell coverage) from REAL people who have stayed there is super useful. Reviews also include photos from reviewers, not campground owners, so I feel like I'm getting a better idea of what the campground actually looks like before I decide to stay there. It also makes it easy to find boondocking options. I love this app!

GREAT ONE NIGHTER
Just four miles off I81, this small campground was perfect for the one night we were there. Easy back in site, #10, and flat enough so we didn’t have to level or unhook. Modern water and 30 amp connections. Dump station available. Beautiful pool that was unfortunately closed because our stay was after Labor Day. Bathhouse served our needs. I easily booked and paid on line. No afternoon shade on our site, but full shade in the morning. $38 rate is commensurate with what you get.

Excited to boondock it with some extra help!
Thanks for the awesome resource! I’m so thrilled this app is so helpful for finding free BLM spots! Also such a great idea to add cell service reviews! In a future update can you guide reviewers to input their rig setup? Like car/truck/trailer setup etc. so when they say “roads were impassable” or “we got up to the spot just fine” we have an idea of their clearance? Towing a 30 footer is different than a Jeep and a teardrop. Thanks again! I’ll be referring this app to all my boonie camping relatives!

Not all that useful, expensive, no notice on renewal.
Not terribly happy with the app. It’s not real useful, has limited or incorrect information on the campsites, some are not listed at all. Got the Roadtripper pro upgrade and it was not easy to use, kept having to log in multiple times, not sure why they don’t just have one app, but to make things unnecessarily complicated, they charge you through roadtripper and then you have to try to associate that with your Campendium account. Hassle and not fun to use. Then they charged me $60 for a year of service without any warning. And they won’t refund it just a day after it was charged. Crooks selling a subpar product. I do not recommend

Looked good, paid for a year, now can’t login
Oops, rated it one star ‘cause I couldn’t log in after paying but they contacted me almost immediately to fix things so I shouldn’t have been so hasty! This app is super useful with great filters to help narrow searches and the pics and reviews of campsites really help narrow down choices to ones that I’m interested in. Another feature that would be great to add, at least for supporting members, would be a way to “favorite” sites so that they’d be easier to find in the future. Quality app, quality customer service!

Frustrating sometimes
Have been using the app for nearly a year now. Needs some work in the user friendly arena. Favorites need to be store by state!!! There also needs to be a note section so u can track what you've already looked in to and such. There are times when it won't find popular large parks. Wish it would keep the filters set rather than having to reselect them each time you login. Wish it had amenities to select like 'paved sites'... Option to have large enough site where vehicle can be disconnected. Got a good start but improvements can be valuable! Thanks.

Demands your e mail address for them to sell.
Did one search, but I accidentally misspelled the name I was searching for and it gave me a result I wasn’t looking for. When I went back to try to correct the spelling to search again, it shoved a giant pop-up in my face to create an account and I could not get the pop-up off my screen. Did not want to create an account because they demand that I share my e mail address with them and I already have too many companies buying and selling my e mail address and didn’t want to add to my mountain of junk mail without first finding out if this is an app that I can find the results i in am looking for.

Great Campground !!
The owners are super friendly and extremely helpful. Most weekends Entertainment of some sort is going on at the pavilion. Improvements are always being made to the park since we have been coming in the past 8 years. Shower and bath facilities are kept up and clean. We love the close proximity to the marina and boat ramp. The kids enjoy the playground and basketball court. While we all enjoy the pool when not on the lake. Always a good weekend at Chimney Rock RV Park.

Great RV Park!!
I cannot say enough good things about this RV park…First, all of the sites are level, wide, pull-thru sites..Second, it’s very safe and secure..Third, and most important, it’s owned and operated by a true Patriot, John, who after serving in the military all his life, decided to open an RV park for the sole purpose of “being able to financially help his grandkids “.. It’s rare to meet special person like that! Taos was a great place to visit! Downtown was charming..Driving to the ski lodges was breathtaking!!

Great little campground!
This campground has a GREAT location. Love the access to trails that lead to town or around the national Park. Most of the sites are level and we had full hook ups. The river runs through the campground and is nice to listen to. The down side; there is a very busy road and we had lots of noise from that and the park can be hard to get into. We got lucky! Well taken care of and we enjoyed our time here.

Kendall campground
We camped just above Silverton in one of the designated primitive camping sites. It was a Tuesday in May before the kids got out of school. Easy to find a spot next to the big rigs. Nestled in the trees next to the creek. Awesome, we saw a lot of tent campers by the creek that had walked in. The vault toilet was locked with a sign close for the season; likely to be opened soon. Roughly one third of the sites were taken. Very majestic with the mountains seemingly sticking straight up.

Exceptional App
Beautifully designed app that works without a hitch. The interactive map is just excellent. It’s a similar to Google maps searching, but the Campendium map works more smoothly and is prettier and easier to read. I used Campendium a lot on my laptop until this mobile app came out, and this app is just as rich and functional as the desktop version. It’s the first place I look when I’m searching for campgrounds and reviews.

Nice water view
Very happy with this state park. It’s a cross between a state park and an rv resort. A big plus is wifi and air conditioned restrooms and laundry and paved sites! The sites are nicely placed so you’re not right next to each other. We had a water and sunset view across from the restroom. Very surprised we had no bugs in July. There’s a nice pier and also trails and boardwalks along the bay. A great stop very close to visiting Mobile and Fairhope.

Suggestion
This app is fantastic. I really love it and it’s my first go-to every time I need a place to camp. I’ve found some amazing spots on here! I would like to make a suggestion for a search for “showers nearby” as that seems to be pretty important and hard to find. I can’t find anywhere on the app to make this suggestion. All in all, I couldn’t do without this app! Highly recommended.

Invaluable for campers!
We've been using the Campendium website for the past 3 years, and it took our full timing to the next level. Now with the convenience of just opening the app, it's just unbelievable. Why spend time Googling campgrounds or scouring NF or BLM maps for spots that may or may not work out. Just open the app find what kind of spot suits your needs, and you'll know exactly what to expect when you get there.

Amazing filters
Just like their website, which we have been using for years... this app has amazing filters to help you find the kind of site you want! We rarely make plans and this helps us find amazing places as we travel (full-time for nearly 3yrs). We work from the road and this is THE app/website to use to know before you commit to a campground or boondocking spot if the cell signals are usable.

Amazing boutique RV park
What a wonderful boutique RV campground. Small with a total of only 12 full hookup RV sites but the clubhouse and pool and staff is amazing. Greatest upon arrival by the manager she leads you into your RV spot and then makes sure you know the fully equipped clubhouse is open to you 24/7. Saying the Sites are large is an understatement More like visiting friends than staying at a commercial campground. We’ll definitely be back.

Great!
We are a RV rental company and we highly recommend this app to every one of our customers. Will use it ourselves and have found that we no longer even worry about making reservations at RV parks. We prefer to find a secluded area, this app allows that! Highly recommend it easy to use and so accurate. The more people have it and the more people put comments- locations the better this is going to get.

Giant Pop-up SEARCH Window Will Not Go Away

I click on one result, then click in search window to change location or move the map to new location and the result is a non-stop large pop-up search window shows up. No matter how many times I again enter my search city, the window pops up. I have to restart the app for it to work again but then it happens again.
