I love it. I just started it today and so far it’s a good app. Yes it’s small cash back but hey it’s better than nothing at all and it adds up. 1 bummer is that you can only add up to 7 receipts a day, wish it could be unlimited. But it is a good app. I made .65 cents my first day adding receipts that I saved. I do love that you can upload receipts up to 2 weeks so I was able to use my receipts from last week so I could try it out. The receipts I uploaded were small purchases and I made .65 cents. That’s not bad at all. I wanted to see how long it would take to withdraw to my bank account and it said I should receive it in 2 days. The bank I use is a partner app, kinda wish it was instant or same day since they are partnered but hey maybe in the future🤞😁. I do give it a 5 star because you are making cash back and it was an easy set up! And didn’t take any fee for the withdraw!! So I’m happy with it so far except for the 2 days wait period. But maybe in the future and I did make money! So I’d say try it out for yourself! If I get the withdraw sooner I’ll definitely update it here! Thank you coinout!!!
There are pros and cons. Pros? How easy is it to scan a receipt and earn 1-18 cents? Might not sound like a lot but I’m at a total of almost 80 dollars so far. However there are more cons. You can’t submit the same receipt twice and there is nothing to tell you if you already did. I did this by accident and went to cash out 30 dollars that took about 6 months to a year to earn and they wouldn’t let me cash out due to the same receipt being scanned twice. It boiled down to a waste of time. I started writing on my recipes to tell myself I’ve scanned it. Second, do not give them your email and password to your email account. First of all, why do they need it? Do not do this. I did this and right away I started getting spam emails- once a day, twice a day and eventually multiple spam emails a day. I had to make a new email. Aside from this if you’re bored or in need of some cash or just want to save up, try using coinout. After a while you’ll have some spare money, nothing to make you rich but why not earn cash for just scanning receipts? I’ve cashed out one time and it does work. Second time I tried it said I scanned the same receipts and they denied my cash out. So be careful.
So I as told by customer service that if “accidentally” loaded a receipt that was already uploaded your account would b deleted because it’s considered a duplicate receipt. I get that if it’s already been uploaded that it’s a duplicate but sometimes you forget that you’ve already uploaded it like me for instance because I have more than one app. That’s extreme and ridiculous. If your app was designed correctly like the other receipt apps then it can automatically decline or void invalid receipts according to your rules or receipt requirements like ReceiptPal or receipt hog !!!!!! So that is absolutely ridiculous that you would punish someone for accidentally uploading receipts that they had already uploaded. No one is trying to cheat the system. But sometimes you just lose track when trying to keep track of things. And just because your algorithm or app is inferior to others who designed theirs to take care of that instead of PUNISHING your customer base, well again I say that kind of stupid. 🙄And you have terrible customer service and I don’t care if you are a small business. Thanks. Make a better app!!! Also you might wanna make a way to upload LONGER receipts. 🙄👌completely inferior app to others out there. Don’t waste your time download ReceiptPal or receipt hog!!! Not to mention there’s no way of seeing old receipts!!!
Not happy with this app, I worked for months to reach $20, went to cash out and now my account has been blocked, I e-mailed CS and they replied it has been blocked because of multiple duplicate receipts and would reopen my account and deduct awards of those duplicates, if I abide by the rules. this is BS! If I’ve uploaded duplicate receipts then it was not intentional, as this app has no way of checking if a receipt has already been uploaded, also the app doesn’t work well, every time I scan a receipt there was no way of telling if the receipt had been accepted as I was not credited any amount, so I would scan it again and sometimes a third time before it would credit me. Then when I finally reach to where I could cash out that’s when my account was blocked, i sent a reply to CS explaining why I thought there might of been issues with app and apologized for the accidental duplicate receipts I have not heard another word from them. After reading other reviews sounds like I’m not the only one with these issues.
Coin star -iPhone series app- is still semi-new of an experience to me personally, but so far, I’m seeming to keep interested in its features and am curious or and curious or daily about the cash out realism and about the possible available programs and couponing etcetera listed within the app; these also including the earnabke badges within the CoinOut App’s homepage display of a two option rewards benefit choosing for earning more coinage reward points through activities you may partake in outside of the app such as, buying brownie brittle if a certain brand for $0.75 off each bag of the product and in return also receiving a certain dollar amount for reward incentive of points gained just because you purchased a weekly sponsored grocery product!(: All similar product offerings found to be listed upon the sites options of availability for extracurricular reward point earning tasks
In this app, you receive different levels each month if you complete specific progress in the app. The higher the level, the more coins you get per receipt. But my level has never updated from the very beginning even though my progress has been checked off for every single level up to diamond. I Should be receiving a lot more coins per receipt, but I’m only receiving five… And even with that I have enough coins to get a $15 gift card which is locked because I can’t actually redeem it until I am a higher level! I have reached out to Support and let them know that there was an issue and instead of looking at my account to see the problem they just sent me links for articles on how the leveling works. considering the app shows you checkboxes of the progress you’ve made in order to qualify for the next level… And I still haven’t leveled up (i 5 months at bronze level) I am pretty disappointed. Hopefully someone will fix this. Otherwise I’ve just wasted the past five months of my life, submitting receipts to an app that doesn’t actually give me any rewards for doing so. 👎🏻
I downloaded this app several months ago and began having issues the first time I tried to cash out about 7$ at most. Transaction never went through so I ended up taking the money in the form of a gift card which wasn’t a big deal but I’ve had nothing but problems with this app and their lies and scams. The app offers “Badges” for completing certain tasks which depending on the offer can be anywhere from 5$ to 30$. I completed an offer badge for a $30 bonus from CoinOut for opening a checking account with a specific bank through the link in the app and was supposed to receive my $30 bonus within a day or two of the opening deposit going through. Needless to say it’s been over a month now and I’ve gotten nothing but the run around while trying to contact their support team for an explanation. If you’re trying to make a few bucks uploading receipt images then fine you might get lucky and receive 5 or 10 dollars but DO NOT do any of this badge offers because you will never receive what you’re promised after putting in effort on your part!!
it’s a good app but if I have to make more than one trip to a place and then take a picture of my receipts just because I have more than one receipt from one place doesn’t mean I’m doing anything wrong I do shop for others but to be punished because they allow me to take a picture of their receipt cuz they don’t have the app is terrible and wrong maybe send a message and ask instead of locking ppl out and yes sometimes I forget that I have already sent in a receipt and just to make sure I take another picture of it if I dont remember so excuse me for being a little forgetful and being kind to others and going shopping for them. It’s not my fault that some family I shop for doesn’t have the app but they r kind enough to let me get the picture of their receipt so next time don’t judge someone for something without knowing what’s going on to begin with. I love scanning my receipt's to coinout it’s fun and helps me keep tract of them. Several times I’ve had to look for a particular receipt at home and can’t find it, the I remember I scanned it here and was able to look and find what I needed . Thanks coinout for that. The only issue I have is I’m a shopper for people and I’m allowed to scan receipts coinout sent me a warning of two many from the same merchant I.e. say Publix for instance but I guess that’s their rule. I wish they would let us scan as many as we want. Some times my receipts become past the 14 days and I didn’t calculate the date and get a warning. Sorry coinout my bad!!!! Other than that I live the app !!! I’ve turned several people onto it over the years !!! Keep it going !! Ps my kids love playing my bonus games !!!
I use several apps that feature rewarding users for submitting receipts and CoinOut is honestly the best in my opinion. Not only is it user friendly with generous bonus opportunities, but it’s the most rewarding of them all. I keep all my receipts and submit them all to CoinOut and the other similar apps, along with connecting online purchases, and I find that I am able to earn around $25 and cash out quicker and more often with CoinOut than with any of them. I also like the design of the app and how it never feels like a chore to come to it and submit receipts. Keep up the excellent work and you’ll always have me as a loyal fan and I will keep spreading the word to others!
This is overall a good app. As a blind user, though, I’ll say that a little work on accessibility would be appreciated. I can’t see the pictures of the receipts I submit. When sighted help is available, I ask for it if I’m not sure about the picture. My family is often busy, though, and it would be nice to have a little feedback before submitting the receipt. Anything as simple as “blurry picture” would be nice. Many of the receipts rejected are listed as “unreadable” when I look back at my activity. Thanks for your consideration. One other thing bothers me—and probably others as well. One of my retailers keeps disconnecting. This affects my membership unless I reconnect. I didn't disconnect in the first place; the app does it automatically. This is very annoying. Please fix your retailer feature!
Top 5 apps for cash back with Receipts I recommend
After 3 years of trying to find the best receipts for cash apps, CoinOut definitely tops the list. It’s super simple, there’s no certain specified store/business list to follow so you don’t have to worry if your receipts will be accepted. The difference with CoinOut is that every day they set a certain amount for each receipt regardless of the total amount you spent. I’ve had it for a few months now and have already cashed out over $60. There is a limit, but you can get extra receipt submissions weekly. They’re not a big company, but they do what they say and the app may be slow loading occasionally, but it’s not just a waste of time. They have PayPal, or you can have your money deposited directly into Zelle and transfer to your bank account. From my own personal experience with them, I recommend CoinOut.
This app used to give you cash back, which you had to have Atleast $20 to het the cash back. After 8 months and scanning all my receipts, I still never made it to the $20. Once the app updated to a coin system for rewards like gift cards, the value of each receipt dropped. Still not that big of a deal. The big deal is that you are on a ranked system of bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond. I have completed all the steps to be a platinum (which is the level you must be to redeem rewards) yet it still shows I am at bronze. Along with the ignorance of a ranking system you also do not get to see the coins you have earned for each receipt. It tells you that it takes 72 hours to process each receipt. There are alot of receipts that I have not gotten any credit for because it says “this is not a receipt” when it actually is. As soon as I can figure out a way to get my rewards for the coins I already have, I will be getting rid of this app. It’s useless. I will stick with fetch!
They deactivated my account for simply doing a lot of receipts from Walmart that I live across the street from. It was never a problem before and now all of a sudden it’s an issue. It’s impossible to cheat ! They changed the rules when they changed the app and they stop giving credit for some receipts bc there’s “too many from one retailer” so idk what the big deal is. It’s literally impossible to cheat. Y’all need to fix this problem. I’ve been a member for years and never had issues and as soon as you guys update your app you kick me off with no help from your customer service. My advice to all, avoid this app. They just want to steal your info to use for their own purposes but don’t want to pay for it. Nope. You want info from people then you have to pay. You don’t even pay a lot! $5 a time and you’re acting like I’ve done something wrong. Make your “rules” clearer and it won’t be an issue. Steer clear of this one folks. They’re thieves of information.
I started using this app years ago when it first came out & it’s always been wonderful. Yes, it has improved and changed in various ways but it’s a very easy way to use the things you already have / already do to earn some extra cash all in the name of research. I have never had any trouble cashing out for my rewards and they offer different bonuses and tiers so you can do as little or as much as you would like, but you are spending very little time & energy to earn some rewards! Pro tip: Set aside your physical receipts and pick the same days each week to scan them. If you’re organized, this can be a very easy thing!
I used to be so excited to take pictures of receipt that I had accumulated through your the day as I work for Instacart & get to save the receipts from my orders I complete. Once I tried to cash out & a pop up came on my screen saying that the banking cash out was not an option.. so I tried pay pal a week later after getting more $ & it said that I had to have atleast $20.. Also, recently they changed how many receipts you can scan a day.. only 2?! This will take forever but I can’t stop now because I’m so close I just hope it will actually let me & not need an email to be linked because I tried that once to unlock more receipts to scan a day & I realized that they want your email & password so that they can get into it.. beware & make sure that you are not using an important email only use a new one or an old junk email that has no info that they can use against you.
But they changed so much stuff when i first started using it.i look my receipts that i took pictures of in there app and i see three good ones then a duplicate who r u trying to play i upload them so i know for fact there r not duplicates. I uoad my receipt throw out away or there is c some that says unable to read even i looked at the picture i could tead everything the receipt says. The closest i get to cashing out the more they are messing with my receipts. I will change my review if this change and go back and change the ones you say are duplicates that’s not and give me credit for my receipts and the ones you say you can’t read if i can read them then u can or get someone that knows how to look at receipts in there. Give me my points and I’ll change my review or ill delete the app and still keep working reviews on how u done me.
When I first started using the app 2 years ago it was great, you received some type of monetary credit with every receipt up to 14 receipts a day, then a few months ago they changed it to only allowing 2 receipts a day unless you connect your email to their app so they can scan your emails for receipts…..no I’m not doing that. I emailed the company letting them know I felt like them having access to my emails was a privacy issue and now it won’t allow me to scan receipts at all so now I’ve emailed the company again and sending screenshots of the app issues I’m having. Really sad I’m gonna end up deleting the app & losing any money I’ve earned in it. Update: now they say I can’t scan at all unless I allow email access so they can scan my email, NO! I’M NOT DOING THAT COINOUT!! contacted their customer service got terrible crappy help, I’m done it’s deleted good luck to anyone who tries it. Wish there was a 0 star option !!!!
Let it be known, I’m no bot! Haha. I got this app maybe 2 months ago, but I didn’t want to leave a review until I try this app out to the fullest (meaning I rack up some cash and successfully cash it out into my pocket). I made $10 by scanning receipts alone. This app is definitely not a scam. But it does take time and consistency, and those cents will add up from 1 cent to 20 cents. Some reasons will give me 1 cent others maybe 7 cents or even 19 cents (which was the highest Ive ever gotten) it’s a great way to save money and get cashback on your receipts. Now, it’s not an overnight thing. You won’t make $10 in a day or two. It took me a few weeks just to make $10 but in the end its worth it and that’s cash in your pocket. Can I get an amen? Amen.

I was very skeptical at first but after trying for myself it’s an amazing app I recommend to everyone especially those with poor credit who can’t qualify for cash back credit cards. You now can get cash back more conveniently than credit card holders! No more being left out of the cash back circle! I will no longer tell cashiers they can keep the receipts. I’ll be scanning all of my receipts from now on. Awesome app!
I’ve been doing this since the end of May 2018, and I had accumulated a little over $18. I decided to do a cash out last night at about 7pm, and it was in my PayPal account at 1:35pm today. I had a bit of an issue cashing out, but it was an issue with my phone, and not Coinout. I absolutely recommend! I will keep on downloading receipts. I didn’t want to write a review until I had actually accumulated some money, and attempted a cash out, but it’s not another scam app, and I do recommend it. It’s not going to make you rich, but it will buy you a few drinks a few times a year...with very little effort. Also, their customer service is prompt (we’re talking hours and not days), and very friendly.
I used to like this app but now they limit you to only 2 receipts a day. It used to be 10 receipt limit per day. I only think of scanning my receipts once every few days, so I usually have more than 2. It said if you give them access to your email you can increase your limit. Uhhmmm… NO THANKS! I won’t be giving any app access to my personal email information. That’s an invasion of privacy and not worth the extra 20 cents I could get per day. If this app makes the appropriate changes, I will change my review accordingly. I used to really like using this app, but that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Update: Tried uploading a receipt today (this is about a week after my initial review), and the first one I tried it told me I reached my receipt limit for the day. I haven’t even uploaded any today. It said connect my email to raise the limit…. This is getting kind of weird.
Earning change just for shopping is an interesting concept, but it may take you forever to realize any benefits. If you’re looking for more of a rewards program, it might make sense to use a store’s specific loyalty program. And that’s fair as I don’t believe Coinout positioned themselves as being the same as Rakuten or a similar program. However, it’s hard for me to get excited about this app when what you earn seems like it’s assigned without any sort of methodology at all. The interface is easy enough to use, and it looks like they’re making a few updates so it’s not completely bare bones. It would be fantastic to include more self-serve options within the app. Otherwise you can email support, but in my experience it took around 10 days and follow up on my part to even get a response that wasn’t automated.
If had had based my decision to use this app on the reviews, I wouldn’t have bothered. But I’m glad I did. It’s obviously not making anyone rich, but I was buying everything on my receipts anyway, not to specifically get money back from an app. So, if it’s $.1 or $.25, either way it’s more than nothing. And like I said, I was buying this crap anyway. I don’t understand complaining about the amount? It’s not like I have to keep the receipts...I scan them and toss them. Nothing changes at all. Except I get a couple more pennies than I had before. No one promised to make you rich this way. It’s just a little more than you had before. So, I mean......Thank you. No complaints here.
They do not like to pay you and will scam you out of your gift card
They will let you scan receipts, they will continue to email you promotions like everything is fine, then when you cash out suddenly there is a problem with your account. If there was a problem why did you let me continue to scan receipts? They know exactly why, because they don’t want to pay you. Beware and cash out ASAP and then just use Fetch or Receipt Pal. Zero issues with them. Update after reading developer reply: you know exactly what you did and I am not the only one. If my account had truly been deleted then you would not have let me continue scanning receipts, it was ONLY when I tried to cash in that you suddenly said whoops your account is no longer active. All is good, using Receipt Hog now and never would have found them without you deleting my account.
This app is awesome! I scan every receipt I have & I get a few cents for each one! The amount you get for each receipt is randomized & you can only scan 7-8 receipts per day but it’s fun and definitely worth it! You can cash out on PayPal once you reach $20. I haven’t had any issues with cashing out; it took a few days for it to be approved and it is as simple as that! I’ve made sure to keep the receipts I’ve scanned & haven’t scanned yet in different piles, and even if I scanned a receipt 2x (which happened once) I can just delete the duplicate one- you can always look back & delete any duplicate receipts yourself. Great app, definitely recommend!
How can you punish your users for accidentally uploading a receipt twice when you don’t even provide a list of previously uploaded receipts? That’s a common mistake and seems like such a great way for you to not have to pay your users. Try reaching the $20 minimum without once accidentally uploading a receipt twice. Not to mention, there’s literally no rhyme or reason to the amount you’re paid for each receipt submitted. Compared to other similar apps, this one is just completely inferior- they accept e-receipts, but you must email it to them and if your receipt is long, they instruct you to try FOLDING it. There are plenty of existing apps that compensate you for uploading receipts - without having to risk the loss of your earnings due to a simple mistake - and that have all of the many features that Coinout is lacking. Also, I am genuinely perplexed as to how this app has 57 thousand reviews with a 4.7 rating.
the app concept is good. However, you can earn the 1-2 cents per receipt after you register account for a week. for a first week, you will earn 15-20 cents per receipt and the earning will go down afterward. and, you can only upload 7 receipts per day. you must upload the receipts that are within two weeks. Initially, i like this app becuase you earn instant and hoping that i will add up eventually. However, after they block my account due to accidentally upload the same receipts that my roomate had. i tried to communicate with them with an explanation and never heard back! dont wasted your precious time for earning 2 cents per receipt and able to upload 7 receipts per day which will only give no more than 14-20 cents per day. they collect information of your household shopping survey, and only give small earning for your time! doesnt worth it!
App finally forced me to update. I heard bad things about this update when the new look first came out. I already don’t like the changes. Each receipt is now $.01, before this update the lowest would be $.02 and any other random amount,I got up to $.17 cent a receipt before. I like the slot idea for points, highest you could get is about to 500 points if that luck even exists on this. 500 points equals $.50. They should have kept every amount random per receipt and not really included the point system. Now it’s going to take forever to cash out and based on other reviews it seems like people are not getting their cash out amount, after cashing out. Well I guess this app now makes receipt pal a better app and that takes like two months for $5 but I can’t say yet if it’s going to take about that long to cash out with coinout now.
I have been using Coinout for a year and a half and have made over $200 between completing the badges(offers) and scanning receipts. I just wish they would work on being able to scan longer receipts like other apps that allow you to take multiple pictures of a receipt to fit the whole receipt also, you should be able to cash out more than once a week, other than that I have no complaints it’s overall an awesome app. Maybe increase how much money you get per receipt would be nice but doubtful they have to make money too. I have the app months of trying to work out kinks. I write this review as of October 2023. A link your email and you get more coins as your badges go up. Every single month it makes me reconnect my email and then it isn’t valid until the month after that so I never get to a higher reward. I have contacted support multiple times, and they always take weeks to respond but only have the exact same answer at what I am doing every single month. They stump themselves and don’t know how to help it. I am deleting the app and I will not re-download it unless they do some serious updating.
I have been using CoinOut for a couple years and I didn’t really think I could make money just for taking pictures of receipts but it is true! And super easy! All you have to do is save your receipts and take pics and all it takes is a couple months or so and you get points and I prefer to have it sent to my PayPal but there are other options. I have yet to have enough to get the $50 reward, I usually stop at $25 but I have probably cashed out 5-6 times or so? Anyways I would recommend this app to everyone!!! Not hard work and easy cash out on your points!!!
Love the app just wish there was more ways to earn coins. Other than that it’s a great app besides, it makes a few steaks sometimes though thinking that you are trying to screw them somehow because I have submitted a receipt before and then I snapped it again by accident and even though they were review it to make sure that it’s a duplicate. They still think you are trying to like hustle them. It’s awful. I know this from firsthand knowledge anyway besides that the app is great could use more free stuff and surveys and what not but other than that also more incentives it’s great.
So after the last review they worked on the problem fairly quickly as I was thinking to my self if I should delete the app or not when I went back on those who didn’t know the problem …it wasn’t letting me get the platinum badge because it wasn’t connecting to my Email well now it’s connected and i think I got like 50 cents or a dollar for the inconvenience I go to cash out the 4 and some change I had there and it didn’t go through to my account now this is the second time I’m having a problem I’m thinking to my self again should i delete this as much as I liked this app and what they were doing for ppl in hard times like this pandemic or like a rainy day fund or something I’m just getting frustrated I guess…. and I hope this gets fixed if not I’m sorry but this app will have to go 😞
**SCAM: The recent update was given no WARNING. I had $50 saved over the years and since the change you cannot check out the money into your bank account as easily. It requires you to “level up” to do things you don’t want to do such as link your email, link your other spending accounts, take invasive surveys. You will not receive your money unless you do these. SUPER INVASIVE. It’s not a fun app. Also there are so many glitches I can’t begin to tell you. I click one button, and it takes forever to load with a loading sign. Sometimes I’ll come back into the app hours later… still loading. So I have to force quit the app and reload and it takes me back to the home but I can never click certain buttons because it does this. If they kept the concept of the app the same, just better visual ui it would be great.. but you can’t just add a completely new app new colors new everything with rules on how to get your money without a warning and also so abruptly! Not user friendly because of this! Very unsatisfied and unfortunately after being a few years user I will be deleting the app because of this whole combination. Especially invasion!

So in all I’ve withdrawn just over $200 into my checking account withinDownloaded the app a few years ago but only actually have been using it 8/mo VIA ZELLE by the way which is awesome, there are very clear instructions when you click on each page and I have been paid out in full as promised by every single badge. The problem is it’s very limited as far as work apps you can download or incentives you can do to earn $$, there is a good selection of different ones but they have not changed it the entire eight months I have been using the app release so once you get the max potential of what you’re able to do to earn money that’s it folks…
So I just seen this on Shark Tank and I thought it was a cool idea and I wanted to support it. I guess a lot has changed with this company since filming. So, I went to the website for clarification and found nothing. I seen some info for merchants and partners but nothing explaining the details. Then, I downloaded it thinking I would learn more but it made me enter my phone number before I could do anything. If it wasn’t for shark tank I would have never entered my number...I would have just deleted it. Also, I have no idea where I can use this app besides what I seen listed in the app updates section. You should really include the list of retailers in the app alphabetically. Lastly, It would be cool if the app saved at least one months worth of receipt photos for us.
After submitting my request to redeem my reward. I was sent an email and my account was blocked. I was sent an email by customer service saying that my points were rejected because I was either a cashier and getting receipts or they did not belong to me or I did not make purchases. The receipts I submitted were never rejected until I cashed out . Very upset and disappointed in this app don’t waste your time! I’ll repeat myself again I was denied my reward until accumulated my points for cash out.
This is an update to previous review, which I see was removed from this site. I guess the truth hurts, when someone comments it on there app about them. I just got an email that was condescending to me from there supposedly support team, I was having issues with there app dealing with my email and scanning of said emails. I told them in my message to them everything I tried to get the receipts in my email scanned and I even waited until the system told me it was done, but the support team must have felt I lied or was stupid because everything I said they said to try and how I could go to the area to learn how to do it correctly, even though again I told them I already tried it. I doubt this will be on here long either but I will also post on Google same review.

I needed to purchase a new charger for my phone so I redeemed my points for a measly $3.00 gift card and was banned from getting into my accounts a few days later when I emailed support that the reason I was banned was because I submitted multiple receipts from the same store?? I live in a small store and have one gas station that I frequent a lot for purchases that you would make a gas station. Have emailed them on multiple occasions and 2 1/2 weeks later and I am still not allowed in my account and still no $3.00 gift card!! Just warning ppl to be careful I wouldn’t want any other person to get ripped off and waste their time for a larger gift card and be told that you shop at the same store too much!!
My account was blocked for trying to submit too many receipts from the same retailer. I work for this particular retailer and the receipts legitimately came from my household. This happened right after trying to redeem a tiny $5 gift card card that I had earned. I understand that you can only submit 5 receipts from the same retailer in a 24 hour period so I guess I accidentally submitted a 6th receipt too soon. I’d like to add that several of the receipts I submitted were incorrectly processed as either not a receipt or missing info. Maybe you guys should allow more than one pic to be taken for long receipts? It doesn’t matter to me now, I deleted the app and I’m moving on. I’ll continue to use Fetch, the app that doesn't penalize you over nonsense like accidentally submitting an extra receipt.
I call dirty pool! Just like the other reviews, the first week or so I was getting between $0.05 and up to $0.16 per receipt. IMMEDIATELY upon starting the second week I was getting $0.01 to $0.03 with a random, maybe once a day $0.07!! 5-16 is worth it to bother, 1-3 is not. BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!! Shenanigans!!! In psychology, this is called a random, variable reward schedule and it is designed to treat you brain the same way a SLOT machine does. With the hopes of a bigger payoff, it strokes you a little, once in a while so you know it’s possible, but you never know which time you’re getting stroked. So you keep playing, thinking maybe you’ll get a stroke this time. But in the end, you LOSE! LIES! ALL LIES! Ok, not ALL lies, but darn near. The “BANK TRANSFER” is NOT a bank transfer, it’s an APP transfer using PLAID. TRUE BANK TRANSFERS DONT REQUIRE A 3rd PARTY APP!!!!! If your bank doesn’t support PLAID (mine doesn’t) you can’t get your money out until you’ve made $10. And since I won’t keep playing this charade for a penny at a time, I’ll never reach $10. So they will never have to pay me for the money I’ve earned. BAIT AND SWITCH! Shenanigans!!!! LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont fall for their crap! Honestly, I’d sue if we weren’t talking about literally pennies here. On the customer end.
I don’t like to leave negative reviews but I’ve fought with this app since I first got it 2 years ago. I use several apps like this one and this is, by far, the slowest and glitchiest one of them. I tried to contact customer service and, every time I tried, the app would glitch and kick me back to a different screen losing all of my progress over and over and over again. The bonus reward this month is 500 points for 10 usable receipts? Try 20+ end it’s still telling me to upload more to qualify for the bonus. It takes forever, no matter what kind or how strong my connection is, to as receipts or pull my online receipts and it just KEEPS kicking my online accounts when I reconnect them. I’m completely over it!! There is not enough time available to waste for NOTHING!!
To anyone that shops a lot do not use this app I rep recommend Pogo at least they really give you your money and what you deserve!!! Pogo or Receipt Hog!!! Because as you know on this app, it takes you a lot of receipts to even cash out five bucks so after all my receipts and me finally getting up to $10 and wanting to cash out and delete this app the one time I tried to cash out they blocked my account!!!! Saying that I have a lot of receipts, which makes no sense because I am a huge shopper!!! it wasn’t a problem when I was using their app and downloading every single receipt I got from the stores but now since I’m trying to cash out, there is a problem this app is a scam and I don’t recommend it!!!! The only reason why I put five stars so you guys could read this!!!
I’ve used this for a few months and I like it for the most part. The big cons are the limit on receipts and the fact that you can only scan each receipts once. I also use another receipt app and it has unlimited receipts. Some receipts are really long and it’s hard to get them in one scan. Plus I feel that if we can scan multiple receipts, then possibly the payout might be larger. I’ve had smaller receipts that get a higher rate vs the ones with multiple items (like when you go to the grocery store and stock up). That being said, I like the bonus and trivia games. And the fact that I get money for something that I would just throw in the recycle bin.
Why does it take sooo many many receipts to get a meaningful reward?! I have uploaded many many receipts and I still haven’t earned two dollars! Also, this piece crap app limits you to six or seven receipts a day. Who has time to go to this app and upload your receipts as soon as you get them for mere 1 or 2 pennies?! I try to not upload too many receipts at a time because it limits you to six or seven but then you might mix some of your receipts and upload a duplicate which is a super no no. Thank God I haven’t uploaded a duplicate as far as I know but I have read other people saying that their accounts were suspended after one single duplicate upload. That is crazy for such a worthless return. I won’t care if they suspend my account should I upload a duplicate God forbid, geez.
I seen this app & thought I’d try it. Who doesn’t life free gift cards?? Well, it’s absolutely horrible. Just horrible. You don’t get very many points per receipt. Scanning a receipt you don’t get the points right away like you do other apps. The game to earn more points is a joke. For as long as I’ve had the app, no points earned. Oh, they want to to connect a handful of stores and when you make an “online” purchase you supposing get points, I’ve yet to see them. Then there’s the bronze, silver gold levels? What the heck. I’ve completed all the levels, yet to receive the points. If you are looking for a good receipt app, Fetch is the app for sure!! This coin app company needs to get tips from Fetch, it’s the best app ever. Deleting coin app, it’s not work my time at all. I earn so many more points with Fetch.
It’s a good app but it’s no Fetch rewards. Get very little for each receipt it ranges from 2 cents to 15 cents takes forever to collect anything. And if you have an extra long receipt it’s not easy to fit in all one snap shot. Other receipt apps have it where you can add an extra portion of the receipt. And the whole thing you’re account being suspended if you accidentally snap the same receipt is ridiculous. Fetch rewards let’s you know that you’ve snapped a duplicate receipt. And they have no incentives for certain products to earn more like fetch does. But I guess it’s better then nothing.
They will not delete my account! This is a scam. I’ve messaged them multiple times to have my account deleted (they give you no option to do it yourself). They keep asking for my bank info to get my payout first. I’ve said no just delete it and now they will not write back! I’ve messaged again and they will not reply at all now!!! PLEASE BEWARE. My comments aren’t even showing up on here. If it makes it through do NOT USE THIS APP they will not let you delete your account and want all of your personal info / passwords!!!!! reported it to apple as a scam / fraud. Don’t know what else to do. I want my account deleted. I recvomond changing your passwords, put a monitor on your credit, and report this place if they won’t delete your account like they won’t for me.
That sketched me out, I’m not going to lie- I just registered and it asked for my EMAIL password, specifically it said NOT YOUR COINOUT PASSWORD, YOUR EMAIL PASSWORD. I stopped right there- I’ve been using email for as long as I it’s been around and never ever ever has any website or app asked for my email password! I’m now going to delete this sketchy app- and mark the emails from them as SPAM, so I don’t have to get spam from them!! Obviously,there was absolutely zero justification as to why they should have my email password- My suggestion? Never ever give anyone your email password, or any password- they can check your email, see email from your bank- use that to login- if passwords were meant to be given to just anyone- then passwords wouldn’t exist.
