This app is 100% worth it.
I had originally given this a one star review due to my own misunderstanding of how the app works. I apologize to the developer for my own stupidity. This app prepared me better than any other study guide I used when preparing for the A+. I love that it goes through the sections and they basically become flashcards that you can keep reviewing, also they give an explanation as to why you are incorrect. Both the 1101 and 1102 sections come with 9-10 practice tests. There is a final you can take if you want. If you are looking to get the A+, I would recommend watching professor Messer’s videos (mainly because I find Dion to be insufferable) and then reinforce that learning with this app. I will be purchasing the Net+, Sec+, and the CCNA apps as well.

DO NOT USE THIS APP
I noticed a lot of complaints in reviews after I purchased the pro version about the questions being outdated. They updated some questions and they do have some updated questions but a lot of the old questions are still on the app. Questions about windows vista and 7/8 that aren’t even a part of the 1102 exam. Not only that, they are worded horribly with lots of grammatical errors. I was still okay with all of this because a lot of the questions are good and this is a good study tool as far as the explanations go. But it appears to have been written by some Indians or Chinese people that have no idea how American grammar works. MY LAST STRAW: and I really want you all to read this part.. I gave this app many chances regardless of the errors, but there are wrong answers. I was asked how much drive space is needed to install the 64 bit version of windows 10 which is very obviously 32gb but that wasn’t even an answer choice and they said it was 20gb. That’s a really big mistake for such a simple question and I want a refund at this point.

Test questions
A lot of the test questions are biased towards people born around the year 2000. The term “old laptop” is too general. Some laptops still contain 2 1/2” drives in them. Some of the test question answers will list a choice 2.5 “ hdd + a ssd or even a m.2 type drive option for replacement in a answer list. All are valid test question answers. Not just a ssd or m.2 choice is correct provided the hardware will support them. At least the question could include 10 years ago to get an idea of the technologies to pick from These drives are used in notebooks and older laptops such as my 2013 macbook pro. Is that considered old? Some one born 20 years ago probably does not know what “older technology” really means The test question answers need to be proof read by someone over 30 There is a lot of age bias Lots of guessing game questions that requires not problem solving but mind reading like girlfriends i had the past until i met the right one.

It’s Okay, But Not Great
As an IT professional with over 25 years in the industry, I decided to pursue an A+ certification to help strengthen my edge in, what is, a terribly over-saturated industry. While this app has given me some insight into areas of knowledge I need to brush up on, I still find it rather inadequate as a study tool due to its vaguely worded questions and poor grammar. Furthermore, its assessment of one’s ability to pass the A+ exam seems to be more of a measurement of how much of the content they’ve covered in the app. I’d also like to note that there are many questions that are tedious and trivial. In over 25 years of a vastly dynamic IT career, I have never had to bother with some of the content matter in some of the questions I have come across in this app. Do the A+ exams ACTUALLY cover such tedious and trivial content matter? If not, such questions in this app are an utter waste of time and brain space.

Best app ever next to the virtual sunscreen app
All joking aside this app is incredible. Out of several books, online classes, Flash cards, audio books… this is definitely the best. The questions are much harder than most other learning bases and you’ll definitely miss a lot of questions but that’s the point. They don’t fluff you up with fake confidence but rather force you to fail (within reason) so you’ll learn the material and not fail it on the actual test. Great job designing this app. Highly recommended

Grammar
When I can understand the question, it’s good. But there are too many questions with horrible grammar. It messes up my thinking process because I end up having to figure out what the paragraph is supposed to mean. Example from a portion of a question: “ a customer who recently bought a new multifunction printer and tried to install it himself, which of the following the technician do NEXT when he told a technician that the printer was on his list of printers, but he couldn't print anything.” Thankfully all of the questions aren’t like this. But it’s enough that it is an issue. Maybe it’s just me. But this question messes with my head. Or it’ll say one of the following is the answer but pick 2 answers to be right lol. It confuses me. And once I’m confused, my entire thought process is thrown off. Even on regular questions. Despite that, it’s the best free option I’ve found in the App Store. But I hope they get someone or a team to proof their content in the coming updates. For this and any other Comptia apps, like Network + and Security +. Because I initially planned on using these for my studies. But if that’s not corrected, I’ll probably just do one of those Udemy Comptia practice tests when it’s on sale.

Overall like wish test q’s were split up
Overall helpful. But! Person who created app doesn’t speak English as their first language. In context though q’s usually make sense. Really wish you could select Core 1 or Core 2 or both questions for practice tests as an option. Both are included for all tests. I’m currently studying for Core 1 only so it’s a bit annoying to have Core 2 questions included. Also you can only get to so many levels on the practice q’s for the same reason. Must answer ALL Core 1 and 2 q’s for a certain amt of levels before you could go to the next level. Again I only want to focus on Core 1 q’s so that it limits the number of levels because of this is frustrating.

A great additional tool!
I recently passed the CompTIA A+, and this App was a great tool to support my preparation for various reasons: 1. I got used to answering 90 questions in one seat. It helped me manage anxiety when I faced the real exam. 2. It helped me to consolidate knowledge. I studied a chapter, then I resolve the questions. That way, the learning stuck with me more easily. 3. Although some questions have a very strange wording and presentation of the scenario, it helped me because the real exam has those type of questions too. 4. The explanations provide a great feedback to understand some scenarios. Not all are perfect, but it is definitely a great help.

Terrible grammar
It’s an affordable alternative to the IT & Security app; however, the compromise is not worth it. The grammar is terrible and especially for a CompTIA exam where wording matters a lot in order to draw inferences. The app needs a community of user input to help help buff out its imperfections. I’ve reported at-least 15% for double wording/phrasing, at least 35% for grammar and I had no idea what was being asked. The questions only change when you click today practice which defeats the purpose of even buying access. I suggest paying the 20$ on the other app and get a solid month of structured testing and explanation that to give away your money to this app. Using the Free mode is the only redeeming quality.

Informative, seamless, easy to use & excellent value
I love this app! Hope to update it in a few weeks with my scores and date of receiving my A+ certifications but so far my favorite things are: 1. Great design, easy to read and questions are well written with no typos 2. I LOVE that the questions all have EXPLANATIONS! These explanations are thorough and flesh out why the selected answer is right as well as what the wrong answers mean and why they aren’t right 3. I also really appreciate the missed questions replay - missed questions pop up again with a notification like “missed this question last time” The designers and creators of this app not only had the end user in mind but they did an impeccable job of writing great questions and implementing awesome study strategies. Great app, great design, and great implementation! Kudos to the team who created this!

High quality app non intrusive ads clear and concise content
I'm really happy with the progress I've made with this app and none of the time has been wasted. There's enough of an explanation of each choice after you select an answer so that you can learn and memorize various answers. Time is chunked and quiz segments are not too long so you stay engaged. Thanks developer I appreciate your time and effort. Get the app.

Not the worst I think
It’s the best mobile test prep that I’ve found unfortunately. Broken English, especially the farther you make it into the questions. I’m getting towards the end of my studying and this app always makes me feel like I am not ready because I’ll miss multiple questions in a row due to the wording of them. I know the real exam wont be easy at all but at least paying attention to what the question says will hopefully pay off. 3/5 not bad, but definitely needs a tune up and I can only recommend this if you’re studying for a quick 5 minutes on the toilet. -Free version

The App/Program are Good
I am studying for my A+, so I paid for this app to help me study. So far, it is great! There are two things I would like to see. One is a way to access my program from the web. There are times when I am on a computer, and I can't access my phone. Number two is that I come from Public Safety where certifications and tests all use a question pool. Are the questions on this app actual exam questions, and if not I would like to see questions from the exams. Both of those are long shots, but so for in the interim I would say this app is a good one!

Great Study Tool
This app was a great part of my study plan for the A+. I used it in tandem with the CertMaster Practice and passed Core 1 & Core 2 on my first try. I think this app is great for having something to study with everywhere you go with accurate questions to the exam objectives. I tried 3 or 4 other apps that claimed to be a “pocket study tool” and they didn’t even come close to this one. Highly recommend 👌🏼

One of the best things i’ve found for studying
This was the sole thing i used to practice for my Comptia A+ 1102 and 1101 exams, and i passed the first try on both. Paying for the premium is def worth it because it explains the problems answers. Way better than watching hundreds of videos of guys explaining slideshows, i like feeling my brain get activated and actually learning the content.

You’ve found ‘the one...’
So far this seems to be the best of the available free CompTIA A+ prep apps, and is even better than the one I paid 20 dollars for 800 practice questions. Highly recommended. Very straightforward, user-friendly interface with well-worded practice questions. It won’t replace a text book for content, but it definitely will help you achieve a passing certification or recert score. Many thanks to the contributors! “A+!”

Great app with only minor gripes
Love the questions and how to set everything up. My biggest issue is with the planning feature because it never saves my progress correctly. No matter how many questions I do, usually after 12 hours the day before will wipe itself out showing 0 questions learned, changing my plan progress.

Purpose of App is to learn and pass
Being able to learn when u have an extra 10 minutes is very beneficial. Also tracking how many questions you should master per day is awesome Don’t read into the complainers about grammar. THE POINT OF THE APP IS TO LEARN AND PASS. I passed 1102 and now it’s is helping with 1101. Will be using for other exams also 5 stars all the way!

Needs explanation
I paid for the pro version, which is no problem. But as I’m going through the app, I still don’t understand and can’t find information on exactly how the app works in terms of its learning. I don’t understand how the percentage calculator works. I redo the quizzes, and sometimes the percentage goes up, but most the time it doesn’t, regardless if my answers are correct or not Clarification on how the app is calculating these things would be helpful

Great app but one annoying flaw
The app is great. The questions are all relevant to the exam. I was able to pass the 1001 exam after a week of study and practice tests. The issue, however, is that the app does not allow you to take the 1002 practice exams without taking and passing all five of the 1001 practice exams first. If you’ve already passed the 1001 and no longer need to use the practice exams you are out of luck. The app still forces you to take them with no option to skip. If the app allowed you to take any practice exam whenever you want, I’d give the app five stars. Now my only choice is to either use a different platform to study, or take and pass all the other 1001 practice exams which will not benefit me for the 1002 exam.

Great app for testing your knowledge
So far very helpful with my practice exams. I wish you could reset each of the “parts”. For example the 1001 Hardware section has 8 parts. You’re allowed to reset the whole section but not a particular part (like part 5 or 7 of the 1001 Hardware section). Sometimes I just want to reset the “part” I just tested on. Other than that…pretty decent app. Thanks

Used this and passed my exams with flying colors.
Although the questions are not worded properly and there are no hands on diagrams which the test has, overall I must compliment the program. I recommend this especially if you’re having trouble with the multiple choice portion

Great App, Until 1102
This app did help me a lot with passing 1101, so kudos for that! But I’ve done a few 1102 practice tests, only to find out all the main categories are from 1101 after the test? Why??? Makes no sense. I should be getting questions for the test I’m studying for, not the one I already passed. This app is a great tool, but with all the typos, the occasional question that is worded very poorly, and the “1102” practice tests, I’m quickly getting frustrated with it.

Best on the go study tool
Used this for my A+ and it is amazing, so many questions and the explanations make note taking and review easy. My only complaint is that the practice exams for core 2 display the objectives for core 1 when I went to see what areas I should study more, hopefully this can be fixed!

i’m very grateful for this app the explanations when you get things wrong or correct, are very clear and go into good detail. The explanations are not short and answer all the questions you may have the app has a nice looking UI and is very appealing. I am very excited to study for my A+ exam using this app.

Good content but glitchy
Tapping the favorite button doesn’t add the question to favorites. It only added 19 questions and won’t add any more. This is frustrating because I favorite questions I want to review and practice. I bought the pro version and for 4 bucks a simple feature like favorites should be functioning without issue. The UI that displays the questions could look a little sleeker but that’s not a big deal - the content is good.

Great App!
This is a great app for CompTIA exam prep. It’s quick and efficient and helps to train your brain to recognize the questions and the basic information needed to get a great grasp on the subject. Go ahead and pay for the full thing. There’s no point getting the app if you’re not going to get all of the features. Plus, anyone endeavoring to get their A+ should be prepared to make an investment. This is app is a small but needed investment. Play it on the go, while you’re waiting in line, or in between your daily chores. Saturate your mind and you’ll find the concepts very easy to learn.

Very very strange questions
Very strange questions I don’t think anyone studying to learn the information should use this. The questions are broken grammar is sloppy and the answers don’t make sense . I understand the concept but the delivery is lazy . New to technology users should have the option to choose answers that will lead to cost effective solutions . The answers to most real world situations are just crazy .

Constantly prompts the user to rate app
After finishing a part of a unit objective you get asked to rate the app every single time and it does get annoying if someone needs to use this app daily to prepare for the actual exam. Just a nitpick, but overall, it’s a great learning tool to help you study and boost your confidence.

Free users beware
It's a well made app but the free version attempts to strongarm users into the paid version by making it impossible to get past the ads. Most apps you can just exit out an ad after it's done but this app won't let you. You'll have to restart the entire app to move between chapters. Can't give more stars until this is fixed then I might purchase paid version after.

this app is really good and actually affordable since it’s not a subscription for the full version it’s a one time purchase of $12. the only drawback i find is that once you complete a ‘part’ on any given lesson you’re unable to look through that specific part’s questions. before you go into your personalized weak, medium, strong questions you’re allowed to scroll through the questions before you review them. if you could add this scroll feature to each ‘part’ after completion it would be extremely beneficial.
