Love it!
I really like this app. It teaches a few words each day including days of the week and months. You don’t have to cram millions of new words into your head because it only teaches a few words each day. It makes learning really easy and fun. It’s interface is very simple which makes it really easy to navigate through the app. I would recommend this app to anyone who is hoping to learn Japanese. - Sincerely, an app user

Uneven teaching
I am using the free version of Daily Dose. This is my first day and I am an absolute beginner. The page had a word of the day, (the Japanese word for google), sample sentences, and the date. It was clearly presented with audio buttons at each word in the date and the word of the day. Very good (though starting with “google” seemed odd). I then clicked on both the audio lesson and video lesson. Mind you, at this time I have been presented with “January”, “second”, “Wednesday”, and “google”. Those are the four new words. I am a beginner with 4 words. Both the video and audio were WAY WAY beyond my level, including one lesson on the imperative forms of speech (grammar). I cannot say enough how beyond my skill they were. And the video lesson (a photo with romanji words/sentences below it and a woman saying them) didn’t give any translation, though it had full sentences. I have NO idea what they were trying to teach me. And I don’t think they ever used “google”. The app needs to be more uniform. If you have someone who is a beginner, then the first audio lesson needs to be something very beginner, like the greetings or numbers—very basic. I couldn’t see where I could adjust the lesson level. It seems like it could be a great app, but it needs to be actual, sequential teaching and not just “access to whatever we posted to the web today”.

Excellent for daily dose of Spanish
It’s short and sweet to the point. I use whenever I take a break for 15 minutes from whatever I am doing to review one lesson a day. You learn 5 new words, grammar and how to converse using those words. By doing this lesson daily you can learn ~ 1000 words in a year which is equivalent to learning ~ 75% of oral vocabulary!

A Teaser, But Generously Well Done
It took me years of a free account before I succumbed and subscribed to the full Innovative app in the language I am studying. I am sorry I didn’t do it sooner. Meantime, the Daily Dose by itself provides a generous and unreserved sampler of the full app and will be genuinely helpful, although in a somewhat random way, for learners in their chosen language.

A perfect daily dose of Japanese!
A daily dose is about right. A new word every day complete with several uses in sentences both as audio and kanji-laden form. There's a video lesson and an audio lesson. This review was made with my Premium account logged in. Although this app requires a Japanesepod101 account, you can sign up for a free account on their website.

Perfect amount!
Daily dose provides you with the perfect amount for busy people—not so much as to take up your time and give you information overload; not too little so as to not give you progress.

Daily Dose 101 - Thai
I like the app very much. It's much more convenient than continuously signing-in or access via email hyper link. The vocabulary expansion is good. The repetitive info like month and day is good. This could be enhanced further with things like time of day or other daily use kind of info. All in all this is a very good app for a very good program

App doesn’t research it’s facts
I was really disappointed when this app published false information in the Korean language. I emailed the support team about it. The response I got was that they had fixed it, but they never published a redaction or correction. It makes me wonder what else they get wrong. I no longer feel like I can trust their information they provide about Korea.

Keeps me studying.
You can use this app at least 3 different ways. 1) Simply listen to the word of the day. 2) Listen to the Audio Lesson for more information and content. 3) Watch the Video Lesson. I usually do all three.

Russian - Not bad but needs a bit more organization
Some are words; some are phrases. Why not have one of each? The word and phrase of the day don’t even have to be related. Mix them up. I’ll be good with that!

Daily Dose is an excellent language learning tool
It is a good concept to offer small daily lessons. Languages are more easily learned when studied daily and the short lessons are more manageable.

Simple way to learn
It's not to time consuming and sometimes easy to understand. Though, I would like to have the prion to remove romanization as it's throwing me off from trying to learn the characters and their pronunciation.

Great app for quick learning.
Great app for quick learning. One of the best things about it is how it teaches slowly the days of the week, month and how to say the day numerically.

average
its pretty average when you dont have the money to pay for it. its just once a day learning something. it differs from a new sentence or phrase, a word (noun, adjective, verb), or grammar, which i like the range of learning it gives! but the cost i feel is just way, way too much. but that might just be me and how my life is. im sure to people who are rich its perfect! but just not for me. also they have people saying whatever you learned and they dont speak too slow or too fast so good job on that!

A little for every level and learning style.
I subscribe to the language app as well. I like the daily reminders to practice and there is a little for every level of Japanese. It's geared more for practical situations like buying a train ticket. There is a nice daily combination of audio and video and a variety of learning methods from day to day. A great way to reinforce what you are learning and stretch your knowledge of Japanese at the same time.

Doesn’t adjust to your level
Given the wonderful reviews, I thought this would be a great app to try, but even after entering that I’m an “absolute beginner” the lessons I was provided with were much too advanced. The words were long and complex, and instead of starting with useful things like “hi” or “how are you?” or “my name is…” the lessons started out with talking about finding imported goods in a supermarket, and the video lesson for that same day was extremely complex, asking me to sit and listen to a conversation and then answer questions, when I hadn’t even learned basic words yet. Also, I did not find the flashcards that other reviewers mentioned — perhaps they are lesson-specific? Overall, I’d say that this app would probably be best for someone who is intermediate. I studied French for two semesters in college and I think I’d do well with French with this app, but I wasn’t interested in using this app for French, I was interested in Russian and I’m brand new at that. It’s good that you can try it for free, so if you want to find things out for yourself, you can do just that. Other languages may even have a different experience, I cannot say as I only tried Russian. But, just be aware that the level being too advanced could be an issue.

ok so far!
Didn't use much when I first downloaded it because the sound wasn't working. There are still lessons in the Chinese version that I cannot hear anything on the video or pronunciation until I try the audio lesson, such as this week's. Then all sound is functional afterwards(!?!) The few times I have used (the functional) Daily Dose: I like how I can go back to previous lessons that I missed (Premium accounts only?), and how to say the date is broken down. I also like how a relevant audio lessons are linked to the daily topic, even though the level may not match yours. There isn't really a "flow" because it is not a series, but this is OK since you get a variety of different topics. In total, it seems a better deal for Premium accounts if we are the only ones who can go back and repeat a "day", especially on lessons above our current levels. Also, is something that can be done to stop the disappearing audio on my end or in the app?

Not Real Helpful
Sorry to say this but I like Innovative Languages' other products. I have a subscription for studying Japanese and Spanish. This app simply does not provide anything better than, or in addition to, their other tools. I have subscriptions for both Japanese and Spanish. Daily Dose frequently has a Quiz Time page they display. But it is inconsistent whether they provide audio. Answers to Quiz Time are from the listeners and so they do not include audio either. And for Japanese, needing to show as many as three types of text (kanji, kana, and romaji) there is often not enough room to show it. I recommend their main app Innovative Language and WordPower (for specific language). The Innovative Language app allows you to try their material before getting a subscription. And if you have a subscription you can take some of the lessons with you. And one app allows you to peruse multiple languages. WordPower is their version of a set of flash cards that somewhat follows their lesson structure, tied to their lost of 2000 frequently used words.

Very helpful
This is a great way to stay on top of my language learning in today's busy world. It only takes a few minutes, it's fun, and it keeps my attention. It also keeps me from straying too far from my commitment to the language I am learning. There is no excuse not to take just a few minutes from my day to focus on Greek for five minutes.

Love the reminder every morning
Didn't think I would use this but the reminder every morning makes me want to open this. Already I'm reviewing grammar that I've been learning with my private teacher that I should have been doing all along. The lesson format is engaging and varied. Holds my interest. Now I can't wait for my daily dose in the morning!

Great for Japanese intro
I started using the app a week ago and I enjoy using it each day. The daily words and phrases with the japanese/romanji/pronunciation are fun to practice during the day and easy to follow. The video and audio lessons are difficult for a beginner, but hearing the audio lesson helps with grammer. I pick a word or a phrase out and practice it from the audio lesson.

Great App!
A great way to grab a little Spanish when you don't really have time to study. Or a good way just to refresh what you already have learned. You get to pick your level, so it is not something that you already know. I recommend this app.

Great Learning Tool
I look at this app first thing in the morning to learn a new word or phrase . They use the word of the day in Various sentences as well. Also you get a video and audio lesson. I like the video lessons much better as you see the words they are saying.

Good lessons but disorganized content.
I really like the lessons. However, I hate the fact that a lesson will make reference to something that was learned yesterday, but that lesson did not take place yesterday. And in fact, when I go to look for that lesson that was referenced, it cannot be found. Perhaps the organization is better on the PC, but the app is too disorganized.
