The app always uses location, need to add option so it will only use location while using the app. While in the background it used 39% of my battery, the worst of any apps I use, please improve. Did like the map while at the zoo.
The app keeps asking me to type my email & password every time I open it, no facial recognition or even remembering my email. Then I cannot save my membership to the Apple wallet, as I’ve tried several times throughout the last several months and any time I try the app collapses, leading me to click to open and have to do the whole log in process all over again. Finally, my tickets do not show up on the “my tickets” tab. Why have an app at all if it’s just to not work and bring unnecessary frustration? Much bette not to create that expectation of service, for customers who paid for really expensive memberships.
I have one small complaint. I tend to search for apps on my phone when I need to open them, and when I type in zoo on my iPhone, this app does not show up. Seems a little odd? Instead of searching for it I always just open the App Store and get it to open, but it’s a little inconvenient. Wish it was easier to find so I didn’t have to scroll through all of my apps on my phone to open this one.
Works alright but still have to buy tickets via the website. The app just opens a pop up window to the site, not terribly helpful when I downloaded the app because the site was giving me issues.
This has never been a great app, but the latest update has made a total mess of it. The map is an embarrassment. There used to be a way to search for an animal, find concessions, etc. Now it is just an image. I tried to renew my membership and it just crashes. I could say more but it’s not worth the effort. This app needs to be abandoned and a new one built from scratch.
Some idiot put the close button on top of the hamburger menu so trying to get to cart or to menu from the restaurants closes the restaurant, and your cart is not saved. When you go get to cart and enter all you I do and place the order, the screen goes away and your order is not placed. Just horrible. You then get to go stand it line and order.
The graphics used are great. Could look all around. Would be cool if they could link the animals with the map so you can see where an animal is in the park.
We can’t access our membership card in the app - which is the only way to get your membership card as it is not available anywhere else online. If you’re going to force us to use an app for membership, it needs to be working…
Can’t give it more than 1-star because it never worked. Can’t log in (the login button doesn’t do anything), and the buttons at the bottom either don’t load or say error. Bummer cause it’s a great zoo but the app is worthless.
I do not know why Apple allows this app in the App Store. Going to the zoo maps locks up the app; nothing works at that point. Must close the app and restart it. Still locks up. I removed the app and installed latest version. Same problem. Absolutely worthless.
Doesn’t save your login, crashes when you try to add your membership to Apple Wallet, unintuitive layout, clunky. They should have waited to make sure the app was totally ready before publishing it.
Please remove the snake image from the home screen
Please remove the snake photo from the scroll reel within the app. For people with ophidiophobia this image, especially when held in your hand and viewed on your phone can be very frightening and stress inducing.
Trying to use this to reserve tickets with a membership. Crashes immediately upon login every time. Hasn’t worked once. Love the zoo, but the app is useless.
I installed the app on my iPhone 11. After I selected to allow notifications, the app crashed. Now, the app won’t stay open. I see the zoo logo, then it crashes. Please please please fix this app! It makes a great zoo look really bad.
I saw mostly negative reviews upon the download of this app and I wanted to state that: 1. You can’t even FIND a snake now, much less a photo of one, so no one should be frightened by that sight anymore. (And for my son, who holds an affinity for them, we’ll figure it out lol) 2. The map is absolutely beautiful, appears to be very easy to read and use, etc. We are not in the park yet, but from my poking around it looks to be a very useful tool. 3. The animal page is very cool, and offers a bit of extra information about the animals. That’s nice. 4. Zero crashing, from all angles and pages. 5. Signed in and had no problems with access to my account or tickets, and no other applications were opened to enable my viewing of either of those things. *Minor, first world* complaints: 1. The animal page is a bit laggy/jumpy as you scroll down the page, especially if going too fast. This is likely due to the absolutely beautiful graphics needing just a couple extra minutes to render and do their thing. 2. I initially didn’t know what the star icon meant on the map, as there is no map legend explaining the icons. But, since the other icons are so apparently obvious, I can see why that would be. And I was able to deduce what the star meant by clicking on it in the map… it’s attractions. So, actually, also pretty self-explanatory! TLDR: Great job, developers! I can see that you’ve taken criticisms to heart and continued to make improvements for a well functioning app!
Minor Bug: A “Here” Links Leads to an “Oops!” Error Page
iOS 17.6.1 Denver Zoo Mobile app for iOS (version 1.3.2) Date: 08/25/2024 Description: I would like to report a small bug that happens inside of the iPhone app. On the “My Profile” screen there is text that displays as: “It’s not you! It’s us! We had made changes to make a better zoo for you! Please reset your password by clicking on the link above - click here to learn more!” The “here” in the text above is a link. Unfortunately it does not lead to an informative page about changes to the app. It instead leads to an “Oops!” error message. Please fix, if possible.
Just downloaded the app to use at the zoo. Loads & then does nothing on my iPhone SE- no map, can’t log in, can’t see the store or calendar. Waste of memory. Please fix.
The login screen has issues. First, the editing area of both username and password is not extended to the entire field so tapping on the left side of the field does not do anything. Color the editing area in a different color at least. Second, I use a password manager to store my passwords to make sure they are long and secure. So I copy and paste my passwords whenever I need to use them. However, the password field does not allow to paste anything resulting in not being able to retrieve my membership.
The app does more than it ever has before but still has some room for improvement. 4 stars simply for being able to access member account and quarantine admission tickets via the app. Huge step up from the old version with just that! You can access a QR code for membership ID now and also save it to Apple Wallet. You can order and pay for food via the app (have not tried yet, only just downloaded the app). Quarantine admission tickets display in the app but are organized by purchase date rather than visit date which is annoying to sift through. Tickets also appear with a QR code for each person in the party so there is a need to scan each one rather than having one ticket for the entire party. Also, if you reserve tickets for multiple dates on the same day they are all kept on the same purchase date so you need to scroll through to find the correct tickets. They do at least clump the same date together so you are good to go once you find the start of the date you are looking for. Still easier and faster than finding an email with tickets!
