Harvest festival
Had a blast. My wife and I are very active seniors and love Dollywood. We have been coming to Dollywood for years. We were here in March 23 for our honeymoon this year and back for harvest festival. Our four children always were so excited when our season passes got us in a week before the park opened. We were there when new rides were opened and Dolly was there singing at the opening of new rides and in the Parade through the park. We were Blessed to see her face to face once when my youngest daughter was on my shoulders waving and shouting to Dolly. Dolly saw her and had them stop the old car she was in and listen to Zoie screaming (“Dolly you’re my biggest fan”!). It came out wrong but Dolly blue her a kiss and said(“I sure am”.) The world was a brighter place that day! She is a 22 year old college graduate and a personal trainer now and still holds that moment as a very special shining star in her life. To tell the truth, so do my wife and I. I’m sure Dolly wouldn’t remember but that brief moment in time she took that week in April 2007 to briefly stop, acknowledge, and look at an excited 6 year old little blond hair blue eyed girl in the eye and reply (“I sure am sweetheart”) that will always hold dear to Zoie, my wife , me and other 3 children. Dolly has touched so many in her life by just being herself. My wife and I continue to visit each year and hope we can come back Christmas for the lights and shows.

Dollywood the greatest place on earth 🥰
Today I had an hour and five minute conversation with Darci customer service she went through my past with me. She helped me logon. She helped me make sure that my passes were available for my guest. She explained everything about all the different events. She is wonderful kind, sweet and professional. I love Dollywood. It’s a piece of the joy of America. It’s the only place where you can go where it’s like it was it’s priceless. I love Dolly and I love everyone that works at Dollywood. The girl at the bakery. Her name is Caitlin is magnificent. I love the snickerdoodles. Please don’t take them away from us and the pumpkin Whoopie cakes everything there is yummy and delicious just love Dollywood. My whole family loves Dollywood. I took about 14 people last year, just my favorite thing to do in the world even during Covid I went. I felt so safe and so happy I love Dollywood. Thank you so much. God bless you all. Thank you for making us feel happy loved and safe. God bless American. God bless Dolly. 🥰💞💞💞🌟👑🌟💞🇺🇸‼️❤️

Just a Diamond App in Rhinestone World
I love the DW app. It keeps everything so handy if you’re not a seasoned DW Veteran. My son can often assist people in the park that do not have the app and they’ll use it the remainder of the day to guide them around. We have heard mixed reviews but I really think it depends on your experience with the park, technology, and preparation for your duration in the park. We stay from open to close and generally are one of the first families in the park. I opened DW last season and it was awesome! Make sure you have a battery pack to keep your phone charged or enjoy the rocking chairs where you can charge, and as always fuel rods are accessible. Come to the Smokies and experience that mountain magic at Dollywood! The app is the little extra magic to help guide you.

Love the park - but the app not so much
Dollywood was fantastic! Great shows. Rides for all ages. Friendly employees. Very clean. Organized park entry/exit. Overall, very family oriented. Bought my tickets 2 days prior- downloaded the app - set up my account. Tried everything to get my tickets to link to the app and see the show schedule w/o success. App allows you to set up “favorites” to visit - took some time to do that. The day we went, suddenly the tickets are in the app. The show schedule is now available. However, all the “ favorites” that were tagged are now gone. How does this happen when you have an account? Tried to use the map to maneuver from one location to another. It took us to the wrong place. Sometimes the “search” worked- sometimes not. Looked up Dragonflier and it was there with a description- tried to look up Mystery Mine (while standing outside of it looking to see what the ride was) and it said “no results found.” Overall, would not recommend the app. Use the park map and show schedule given at the entrance.

Week before Christmas
The Christmas hype for Dollywood is not what you expect once inside. Parking is ridiculous and not family friendly. Preferred Parking should be golf cart transport at the minimum due to very steep hill back up to the parking area but no trams or trolleys. Seniors and small children are expected to walk up and down hills constantly while visiting. Limited number of scooters for handicapped with no easy access to any activities!! The train ride is not worth the 1 hour + wait time for park tour. NO SAFETY FIXTURES and constantly jerks n bumps around. At points during this adventure there are at least a 15’ - 20’ drop off directly beside the track and all we saw was construction areas and not a light display of any kind. .. Dolly .. you should be a regular 70 year old trying to enjoy special Christmas.. spend $500-$600 and not one spectacular event!! Upgrade or call it what it is .. A Dolly Pardon Co. tax write off.

Just ok…
My disclaimer is that I’m comparing this app to Disney World’s app, and perhaps that isn’t fair. I’m well aware Dollywood isn’t Disney World. Having said that, if you’re going to have an app, the demographic you’re appealing to with that expects certain things to enhance the guest experience. For the most part, it’s ok. Not great, but not terrible. Seeing a list of attractions and shows with times is great for planning your day. You’re able to make a list of things you want to do and set reminders when a show is about to start. Perhaps the biggest thing I see missing is the ability to view a menu of the restaurants. I’ve also seen some out-of-date information. There are things within the park itself that could stand to be improved to create a better guest experience, and it starts with having a user-friendly and functional app, not an abacus.

Good, but notification issues.
The map and schedule works well, but the notice system has problems. I got a notification for a sale on upgrading my regular season pass to gold for a discount while in the park, and made my way to the front gate. I waited in line for about 40 minutes and as I spoke to her the notification went away all on its own before she could see it. She says the employees don't get notified of app deals and since she didn't see it, obviously she couldn't honor it. I was flat out told I was wrong and although she doesn't know what notices are sent out, she knows it wasn't that and I didn't see what I did. I was told it's my fault I didn't take a screen shot. It would be helpful if employees got a list of notifications as well as they're sent out so that these issues are easily solved.

First time trip to Dollywood and New Bear Ride
It’s my family’s first time trip to Dollywood and New Bear Ride. Family of 5 is very expensive and I’m very disappointed to be waiting in line for the new bear ride for over 2 hours b/c it’s broken down twice. Torn between leaving the line to ride other things or finally getting on the ride since there are 9 people in front of us until we get on the platform. We’ve been at the park 2.5 hrs and only been able to ride 1 ride as we’ve been waiting since. When we got in line, the app said 60 minutes. Since then each time it broke down there as been no indication of when it will come back up. I’ve been bringing my family to the Smokies for over 20 years. We decided to give Dollywood a try this year. So far we are regretting that decision.

Never Too Old!
My husband and I are in Gatlinburg to celebrate our 41st anniversary. We were staying in a cabin very close to Dollywood and could hear the fireworks every night. We talked about visiting Dollywood but we’re not sure if we would go. On the last day of our vacation we decided to go and so glad we did! We were there when it opened and left after the fireworks and drone show. It was really fun! You can leave the worries if the world outside the gates and have fun!

Deleted the app after having it for years
After having and loving the app for years I have deleted and reloaded it 3 times trying to figure out what’s wrong with it. I just gave up and deleted it for good. It no longer shows the ride wait times, which is the only reason I had it to begin with. On top of that, after you set the filters to show what rides/etc.. you are interested in, you have to keep doing it EVERY last time you get on the app. When you’re at the park and want to ride something instead of just checking the app to see if it’s crowded, temp closed or whatever..you have to walk all the way across the park to find it’s closed or has an hour wait. It makes no sense why these features were messed with.

About Dollywood
It is an amazing park. Dolly has kept it to its roots and her morales and values. It’s one of the last wholesome places let to visit. We enjoyed 5 wonderful shows our first day and 3 on our second day. The rides are also amazing!! One of the best family places. You have to get the cinnamon bread at the Grist Mill. The food here is actually good food - not just for a theme park. We have enjoyed it so much. For people like me that are disabled they have plenty of EV Cars you can rent. Love Love Love Love Dollywood!!!!

First Day at Dollywood
We just got back from our first trip to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood was our “big event”. We were very happily impressed on first glance with the beauty and theming of the park and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We found the app very useful in determining showtimes. We aren’t rollercoaster fans but we still found there was more than enough to keep us busy all day. We found the food quite tasty and much better than regular amusement park offerings. Of course we had the cinnamon bread! Yummy! We also tried the skillet veggies and pizza. We found the food to be delicious and the servings generous. It was hot the day we visited and we found the availability of free water to be a blessing. Overall, we had a very favorable impression of Dollywood and would love to visit again.

Shows where things are.
The map on the app is great! Tells you how far and where to go for a certain location. However, if you are looking for dining areas, the food places don’t have what the app says they have. We went to three different places saying they have something and when we walked all across the park for that certain food, it’s not there. Not that they were out of it, but they don’t have it all. One place said they had ribs and baked potatoes, another place said steak sandwiches with a picture and everything. Get there and it’s a rice bowl.

I love Dollywood
Dollywood, in my opinion is better than most big franchise parks like six flags because it’s more inexpensive to stay close to the location and it’s a whole lotta fun to ride their awesomely made roller coasters especially Lightning Rod, Mystery mine, etc. I also love how it goes with the culture in Tennessee with it being colorful and southern at the same time. And their food is really good. I also recognize it’s never crazily packed! I think DollyWood is amazing and a nice, close( I live in SC) theme park

My Happy Place
Dollywood is my Happy Place. I am a season pass holder. I don’t even ride most of the rides. I enjoy the shows and just walking around watching all the other families make memories. We like to walk around to get our steps in. I like to come each season to see all of the decorations. I try to buy a long sleeve shirt from each event. Looking forward to seeing the Big Bear Mountain

The wait times are great, the map is not.
I downloaded the app to navigate Dollywood for my first visit. The wait times were very helpful and worked great all the time. However the map and directions were quite poor. My directions once told me to go through at gated area and into a tree, very helpful. Also it is disappointing that you can’t view other attractions at the same time as having directions open (the app will redirect your view if you zoom out too far). Despite the criticism, I found the Dollywood app to be helpful, but I would be much better with some work.

Potential but not useful.
Lots of potential with this app but too many bugs to be useful. Purchased tickets on app but tickets never showed up in app or in purchase history. GPS lost lock on me in park many times and map became useless. Time estimates were usually not accurate for better and worse - many 30 min wait times were 15 minutes and one was actually 70. Refresh of map or wait times was not often enough. So I would close app and reopen it. This app would be awesome and very useful if it worked as it was supposed to. Was only negative experience of the park for me today.

Deleted our tickets
The app is nearly perfect, but it won’t show ticket barcodes after the first use. This is a problem if you buy a 2-day pass, for example. We had to stand in a special line at the entrance of the park so they could look up our purchase history. A minor annoyance, but still one that seems completely avoidable. You can export your tickets to Apple Wallet and they won’t be deleted from there. This is a must until Dolly fixes her app.

Expected better from Dollywood
I am just in the planning stage of going to DW and I’ve purchased two yearly passes. I downloaded the app hoping it would allow me to link my passes to keep that info there along with confirmations of when I’ve planned to visit the park. I’ve also set up my profile info. After I close the app, my profile info is gone. The app doesn’t allow you to store ticket info or confirmed dates of visits. So what exactly is the point of this app? A map and wait times? I’m not even there and I’m frustrated at reading other reviews where the app doesn’t work in those areas either. Someone get me Dolly on the line.

Why only 4?
The biggest reason I downloaded the app was to see the updated WAIT TIMES … in front of every ride is a screen that displays all the rides and all the times it will take to wait in line and ride the ride. I cannot find this easy bord anywhere in the app! You can view the wait time it you favorite the ride or look the ride up, but that makes it hard to compare them all! I just wish you could add that waiting bord to the app!

it was good
the map helped me get around the park easier... bc of covid they weren’t handing out paper maps so this helped out a lot. however to the lucky person reading this BUY THE FAST PASSES... it’s not worth it to spend an hour in the longest line to ride a 30 second ride( the coasters are super good ) buy the fast passes bc u will wait less then 10 minutes on a ride instead of waiting for an hour to get on. i didn’t buy them and i wish i did bc i wasted 7 out of 8 hours i was there in lines

Train ride
I love the train and watching and listening to the engine. Complaint: I love listening to the engine pull as it is going up the grade and I like hearing the history. Problem is you can’t listen to the engine going up the grade for history of the engine coming over the speakers. Solution don’t talk on the up so you can here the engine pulling then tell us the history on the way back down when the engine is basically drifting.

Dollywood is an amazing place even if you never ride on rides. The shows there are first class and a great variety. My favorite is the Kingdom Heirs but all of them are really great. The staff are tremendous and the atmosphere and scenery are the best. We love all the wonderful festivals and there different foods for them. It has been our favorite place for years.

I like the app...but ride wait times?
I’m a Dollywood veteran been there so many times I know the park no need for the map...but I loved the app when the ride wait times were on their so I could quickly check my next adventure destination and how long it would be??? But either I can’t find the feature or they don’t have this anymore??? Sooo Dollywood if you could please bring this back...I would love to know the wait times of each ride accessible by the app! Thank you!!!

Disappointed
I have season passes to KD and their app lets me link my seasons passes, keep them there digitally and access them as needed. Disney let me keep day pass info in theirs. I expected the same kind of option from Dollywood. We purchased season passes, but this app won’t even remember my name after I close it. Please consider adding a place to store and link our passes. That way we can use digital options and have our info at our fingertips. It’s so much better when I don’t have to keep updating my info. It didn’t even save my trip list I was creating. At this point, I see no reason to even have this app.

Read before getting this App
I love the park, but the app not so much, it does not show me waiting times. And it tells me Rides are closed when I literally see them going. I have made at least 25 accounts and not even 2 hours later I get logged out. And then it won’t let me log back in. And what I don’t like about it is because what if you bought tickets on there and get logged out and can’t log back in. So before you buy tickets I would wait 2-3 days to make sure you don’t get Logged out.

Not helpful while in park
Tried using app. It does t deliver on most of what it promises. It glitches constantly. If you close it and reopen it you have to start all over and enter your information again to make lists. Rides that are closed don’t show as closed on app so can’t trust it. The ONLY thing it’s good for is seeing which way to go to get to a ride and the wait times, if the ride is actually open, are vaguely close to what they show. The park is understaffed so nothing opens on time. Disappointing

Just as good a a paper map
I would love to say the app is great. The wait times is nice. Being able to see what is open on a given day is also nice. But ...... I tried to login and save my park pass, schedule etc. After all the work you close the app to save battery power, reopen it to find that nothing saved. So long story short, it works great if you don’t close the app while you are at the park with the app open the whole time.

Just show the wait times please
I’m a season pass holder and live about an hour away. It’s incredibly frustrating that you have to be inside the park to see the wait times. It seems like it would be beneficial to allow at least season pass holders to see wait times all the time. If I logged in on a random Saturday and saw low wait times I would definitely drive an hour to ride a few things and get some food (aka give the park money).

Semi-helpful
This app provides basic info, but is lacking in what I’d consider “required” details. You can find restaurants but there are no menus available. You can see where you are on the map (very helpful) but sometimes you can’t find a ride that’s right next to you. And the app also doesn’t list ride information like whether it’s a green circle, blue square, or black diamond.

This App is a great help!
I enjoy this app… it’s good for Dollywood but I feel like they could learn a thing or two from the Disney World App. Because with Disney you can track wait times without being in the park and it can predict the times of the day when it will be the longest and the shortest. That feature would be very helpful in this app.

I was disappointed that the trolley from Dreammore now drops everyone off at the same check in. With the cost of the resort stay, it would be an added bonus if that resort transportation would drop off at the preferred parking area like a couple of years ago.

Sorta Easy to use, when it works
My biggest complaint is that that stupid app keeps logging you out. If you don’t look at it every hour you get kicked out then have to log in over and over. It’s especially frustrating when you need your season pass barcode for your discounts in shops or food. Other than that. It’s not a bad app.

Doesn’t save profile or lists
I uploaded my pass information and email and spent time scrolling through all the options and created a list for an upcoming visit. Profile not saved after creating and saving 8 times
After creating a profile and saving lists, it is cleared out as soon as the app is closed. Wish this would link to the website profile with ticket information too (only option asked for is Sedona pass #. Again, no point of the app will clear out the profile). Waste of time to offer the option of saving and creating lists if the app does not store this information for later use.

The app works fine for a day in the park. The reminders for show times was great. There are some improvements that could be made.
