Ever since I got the Ozobot Evo it was amazing but I find that it’s battery life is horrendous and can only be used for a couple hours before having to plug it in. And it’s just gotten worse since I got it a couple months. Also another thing that absolutely annoys me is that the app takes a really long time to calibrate with my evo (about five mins. when usually should only take about thirty secs.) But Overall the Ozobot Evo is an amazing toy for someone who is really techy or is interested in computer science.
So this app was like the best before that update that stripped the app of half its features. I love my Evo, but now, I cannot name him, have different accounts, do ozolaunch, and so much more! Plus, the app is as hard as heck to navigate! I also agree with another review that said we need to see the battery percentage of our Evos. Please add a JavaScript conversion option in blockly like it used to be and add more programming options. Also, the driving thing is crap now. You cannot even drive him well and cannot run programs, or change his lights with ease like you used to. Basically, I didn’t play with ozobot for maybe a month or so, and then I came to this crap update. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. This update is complete crap. Evollve, please fix this and bring back the old features that you scrapped. Because I love my Evo and the fact that you can 3d print assessories for him. Look, I don’t want to call this app crap, but please fix it and bring back the old, fun, interface and features and I will give you the best review. (Or at least respond to this review to tell me WHY YOU RUINED YOUR AMAZING APP!?) Overall, I love their product, but I despise this new update they made to the app. That is why I only gave this 2 stars. Please write more reviews like this in the hope they will care and bring back the good in their app.
They must not teach good user interface design in schools anymore. Or they just don’t bother because turning your app into a sales ad has become more important. Now, after this “update”, all the main tasks that I want to do with my ‘bot are buried under at least three, non-obvious menu layers. The driving controls now stink and take all the fun out of just playing with my ‘bot. The Home screen has become advertising space instead of a launching pad for the things that I actually want to do with my ‘bot. If I had realized how bad this “upgrade” was, I would not have “upgraded” my ‘bot and app, and continued to use the older versions of both.
The ease of use of this application is a dream for teachers. The students were able to self navigate after just a little exploration. It’s colorful, user friendly, and works without any glitches! I could not feel more positively about OZOBOT as a whole. It’s been such a great experience for my students and their early coding abilities.
Evo and the app integration has gotten much more reliable over time, although I don’t like the new design where promos are featured and the controls you really need are hard to locate and not in the forefront. There have been some big issues in the past (app screens cut off, firmware updates that would lock up Evo, missing features/anomalies that required app updates, etc), but they seemed to have resolved these over the past year. Right now the app is functional and fun to use.
Demoed this at my son's school (2nd grade) and the kids had a blast. This is a great companion app that adds a lot even more to an already awesome product. There are more games, a deeper level of programming functions, a remote control app, and even Marvel skins that add even more ways to play. So much fun that the kids were surprised when I told them they were learning. Ha! They didn't believe me.
I love how this app is set up! It’s step by step instructions make it so easy to understand and use. You can actually get your ozobot to interact with the app and makes it so interesting! I literally spent three hours straight playing it the first time and wanted to do more but had to quit! It’s fun for my son and I to do together and we really enjoyed it!
My son loves the new Evo I got him. The way it can connect to the app was something I liked. There was only one bad problem that made things rough. After a little while when my son pressed the buttons that would make it do a trick instead made the front lights turn white and the top one turn pink. When we pressed the power button it said random numbers until it turned off. If anyone finds a way to exit this mode or patch this bug, let me know.
My child loved the Captain America Skin and game board, he was waiting for more missions to be installed (as it said there would be). I updated everything and now there are no missions at all! Just actions. So our game board is currently useless. I was reassured multiple times this year they would be adding more missions “Soon”. Very disappointing. Again waiting for another response back from the company. Honestly, there are so many neat interactive Evo games they could make, but haven’t seen much for changes in the past 6 months since we have purchased ours.
Buy for your child play yourself all day long...I love this tiny toy. It’s so small it turns your kitchen table into a soccer field or race track. I wish other adults near me had one and we could sit around and race them or make up games. I suppose I will do this with my kid at some point but he seems ambivalent for the most part....I love it!
I love my evo but the new update is horrible. I messed up my evo. I had a flashing program on it before and when I try to put a new one it blinks green then played the old one! Also I loved the follow trick and when you could add Al those to show off to my friends. Now I cannot do that even through ozoblobkly. Also my Evo was muted from before and I can’t unmute it. You also removed the ability to be able to customize each light color. Why would you do this? I miss the old app. Thank you
Love it!!!! The reason I love this app so much is because this bot can dance, hack, and just.. be controlled. It acts so much more like a self programmed robot, to just dance, get coded, get hacked, and be cute. This bot was programmed to be cute. I can act by saying, fail, success, sleep, and yawn, and so much more thanks for making this app.
This game is the best. You can do anything you want with your Ozobot not and even teach and record dances! Also, this game is the best because you can level up easily and you can finish goals easy and whoever made this game is very creative and intelligent to make this much of a fun game.
I love this little robot and this app makes it even more interactive! I just wish when recording on the app, it offered more sounds and moves that it is capable of without being in Ozoblockly. I do love that it gives links to how to use the bot right in the app.
I received this product and first shared it with my co-workers in my elementary school. They loved it! Then I tested it out with a group of gifted students, who were very engaged and curious as they tried it out. Even my two kids at home had fun with it!
I just got a Evo Ozobot today and the first thing I did was download this. I was super excited about coding. But I got it this morning and now it’s 6:00!!!! I have been trying to make a account and it’s not letting me in! I also tried ozoblockly but nothing works. I even tried on a computer! I bought this when it first came out and always had issues with programming it, but I tried it again and now I love it, It consistently connects and does what it should.
I like the OzoBlockly programs Drive and OzoLaunch. Hope more games will be coming. It’s also cool having the ColorCodes right in the app so that I can remember them without going to the website.
I’ve played with my Ozobot a long time with no phone but then I realized I can connect this to my phone and after I did that it was a blast for the whole family

This is a great app for interacting with the Ozobot Evo. It has many options which gives you a lot of variety when interacting with your Evo. This app is very user friendly and very simple to navigate.
I have kids of all ages and they really enjoy using the Evo and the app. It is an easy way to introduce coding to kids. It is fun to watch them get excited when they get to chose what Evo does.
I’ve had this robot since 2018 and it’s been a blast having it, but I want the app to show what percent your robot is at, I know it flashes red but that’s not enough in my opinion
I loved this app and my Evo, I really liked the follow feature too. But after the new update, they removed sounds, the ability too customize each light to a different color, they also removed Ozolaunch witch I loved to play with. I also can’t do tricks anymore. I can still drive my Evo and do Ozoblockey, but thats about it.
We love the Evobot Ozo...the kids love creating, using their imaginations and working together as a team. As a mother and former educator I can appreciate all the qualities this toy brings to the table. Would definitely recommend!
I like this app though it takes a little while to connect but my issue is I deleted it and made a new account and it won’t let me rename my Ozobot! It says it belongs to my old account. Please fix.🥺
This app is great but I would rate it 5 stars if I could actually buy all of the avatars I unlocked. I know I’ve gotten to the required level, and when I click to buy it, it doesn’t work.
One star I could not connect when I went on there website it said this page does not exist or something happened search something up that did not work I put my Ozobot on my phone did not work I switched Ozobots hit the power button two times that did not work over all wast of time.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
I LOVE this thing but there is one thing wrong with it: unlike COZMO, the drive feature has no eyes thingy so I can’t see, if it’s farther away from me than I can see I cannot stand it please fix this and add a eye thingy for the robot thanks
App is telling us that the Bluetooth isn’t turned on, but it is. Tried turning it off and back on, tried reinstalling the app... nothing works. I’m able to connect to other Bluetooth devices just fine. Using an iPad Air 2 so that shouldn’t be the issue. My daughter is pretty upset.
Great app and helps very much with learning about Evo and Ozobot and very fun to drive with the app! If you have friends who have the Ozobot app you can add them as your friends and play together!

I’m some one who just loves to play with these little things, but now the app is just… boring. I would have given a higher review, but the app’s features are more focused towards metabot. What happened to accounts, Ozolaunch, tricks and more? Pls fix this

My kids iPad will not recognize the bot. Connects all the way through step 3 but then doesn’t recognize it. Separately it’s identified under system Bluetooth settings but will never connect in the app. Dry frustrating.
