With the breaking news alert notifications, after clicking you are brought to an article and when hitting the back arrow, it takes you to a precious story. It continues to do this until you are finally back to the Home Screen. If the app had a quick access back to the Home Screen from a nested article then I would give 5 stars!
I wish there was an overlap with the old app and the new app so there was time to work out the bugs. This new one crashes after about 15 seconds when you try to watch live. My iPad is an older device but still has the most current iOS. That said, I gave the app 2 stars because the app works fine on my iPhone 10 with the most current iOS. While I’m not a big fan of the new set-up, that probably more because I wasn’t ready for the change. It’s still clunky, even on the phone. I didn’t see anything on the App Store that said whether there was limitations on devices. It’s pretty disappointing. I’ll own that it’s probably time to get a new iPad but maybe either update the App Store to let people know what devices the app works best on or fix the app to work on iPads better.
I haven’t had issues with crashing yet but other reviewers have said that there are not many news stories and they’re right. The old app had a lot of stories that you could scroll through but now you only get a few. There are some other stories but they are several months old like the story about ComicCon which was supposed to happen in March. This is not news, it’s olds. As of now, your app is worse than all the other news apps so I’ll be deleting this app. Developers you need to read the reviews and listen to what people have to say and fix this app.
Fox killed q13 local news, now we have a generic replacement. But as for the app itself, it just barely works.. live video only plays if you don’t touch your phone in any way else it will stop and can’t resume, no PiP support, no background playing. Basic support only
Navigation is a bit wonky. At the very least, include a home page link within articles. Clicking the back button seemed to direct me through articles I hadn’t intended to click.
This new streaming app does not work well with Apple devises. On the phone is fine but it’s very glitchy when streaming from my phone to the tv which is how I get my news in the morning. I can’t use my phone while streaming the newscast or it will turn off. The volume doesn’t work while streaming to the tv either. The old app was fine and worked much better. Hope you can fix the bugs.
With this app you’ll see about four news stories a day. It’s as if nothing ever happens around here. The advertisements in between the news stories are huge, as if they’re more exciting than the stories themselves. And they sometimes are. Just the most boring, “what’s the point of this?” news app possible. Honestly…do better.
This “new and improved” app is unusable. What was the point in making this when the original worked just fine? The app freezes and shuts down constantly, when it does “work” you only get a few news stories and the rest is sponsored material. Walter left and now this?!? What is going on over there?
This app is much improved since I first downloaded it. FOX 13 seems to have the fastest alerts in town! I love the people and use the live streams all the time.
I really like the re-design, but I’m really confused why certain sections do not update. Today is July 30th, yet the weather section has not updated since July 2nd. Top stories, local news, us news, they all have new content every day...not weather!! I’ve tried manually updating it, uninstalling and reinstalling the app...nope!!!
What is the point of a news app that only has a handful of current news stories and no search function? Some of the stories are old news. The layout is distracting. The old app was at least functional in delivering news and searchable. Bring back the old app it would be an improvement over this.
Nice connect to the station, but every time I go to a new area I am forced to endure a commercial with no way to skip. I finally decided it was more trouble than it was worth.
I’m no longer going use this app. I don’t want to have to allow tracking just to stay aware of news in my local area. Recently the app “please allow tracking…” however there was no option to say no. So, instead I deleted the app.
I just downloaded your new app and was immediately disappointed with it. 1. Crashed first time I opened it 2. Crashed the first time I tried to scroll down the page 3. Crashed the first time I tried to open an article What rating is lower than ZERO stars? No bueno! ***** Day two Tried new app with no success. Four attempts to view articles and it crashed all four time. 🤯. Really? ***** Day Three Still no luck. Three crashes straight from opening. Fourth try the app opened but crashed when trying to open an article. I am now going to delete your app. Goodbye Q13Fox 👋🏼
To hard to use. Cuts off stories. I like your old format, it was easy to use and covered more news. Keeps going off over and over it will not work longer than a few seconds. I had the old app but it said it has an update to take its place : it doesn’t work.
The old version let me scroll infinitely forever for all the news articles I could ever want to read. This terrible update limits out at about 5 news stories per section, and that's all you get. 5 local news, 5 sports, 5 other, etc.
This used to be the moderate voice here in Seattle but it has been going far left more and more! The company that owns it has been getting rid of the moderate voices there! Shame I guess if they go low I will go lower OAN here I come
At first it was good. But in the last few days it is whacky. Popping up stories before it even show the home page. Sometimes a dozen. Most annoying. If it can’t be stop I’ll drop the app.

Was looking for a new and improved APP. What was delivered is a piece of crap. While viewing articles APP crashes and shuts down. Certainly the APP developers can do better than this. In the meantime gotta go elsewhere for the same news information.
I have use this app every morning for probably at least the past year and what is up with this FOX NOW crap I don’t care. This is not what I download the app for.
App will take you to stories you don’t want to read or watch. Make you click an article after article to get back to the home page. Horrible app. Do not download.
It only shows you four news stories and that’s it. What about all the rest of the news? I know there aren’t only four stories going around right now. Bring back the old app
Top/Breaking news is placed on the left in a column that then makes the words vertical? I don’t understand how this passed QA before going to the App Store....
