I have used this app several times to find housing while working as a traveling CNA. I have not come across any issues whatsoever until recently. I was relocating down to Geneva, New York and sent two or three owners a message. I have no idea what happened, but I continuously got my name sent to all these different owners of apartments, rooms, etc. in Geneva, New York, when I never even looked at their rental location. No idea how this happened, but I was getting messages from people daily for well over a month. All I could do was email each and everyone back, apologize for their time, and each one of them said that my name and email address was sent to them and then I was interested in looking at the property. this never happens so I have no idea why this occurred. But I have been wanting to touch base with Furnished Finders, and find out how this happened. I also had messages from where I have my apartment in New York, and people were getting my name interested in looking at their property when I am very happy with my current location at home. and then that happened again in Vermont. So I’m not quite sure what is happening but I have to keep emailing people back and telling them I’m sorry, but I wasn’t looking at your property, thank you. So maybe that is something you could look into ASAP. Other than that, Furnished Finders has been wonderful.
We came to Albuquerque for 6 months for the birth of our granddaughter. Our stay here has been wonderful. The house has been wonderful. It is a good location for us. Indian School Road is one block away and it is a major access to everything we need. Drug stores, Walmart, grocery stores, family restaurants, upscale dining, a butcher shop that has the best meats, flower shops and entertainment. And a nearby church. And the house is wonderful. 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, plenty of hot water. Abundant closet space. A fully stocked kitchen cookware, dishes, flatware, utensils. Just move in and start cooking! Convenient pantry next to kitchen and a full size washer and dryer. A two car garage with an automatic garage door. And even being close to major road it is extremely quiet. Our landlords Alec and Stephanie have also been wonderful. Have always responded quickly to our emails and were available to answer any questions we had. To say the house was fully stocked would be an understatement. It had everything we needed down to Q-tips and dishwashing detergent. Coffee and sugar in the kitchen. And a welcoming bottle of wine! If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Albuquerque this would be an excellent choice.
The biggest issue I have with this app is that it seems like it is designed for lower priced markets and does not fit with higher priced markets. The max budget range you can select is $3200+. In our market there is no such thing as a house that is anywhere close to $3200 per month. On the low end they are $6000 and go up to $12k for standard houses. Beach houses can be $50k a month. The fact that this company expects you to email every single housing request to find out what someone's actual budget range is seems ridiculous. How about you just add price ranges or change your function to allow someone to put in their actual budget amount. Someone that has a budget of $4,000 is listed at $3200+ and in an area that starts at $6000 means a lot of landlords will need to waste their time to find out that this person's budget is nowhere close to what they have to offer. Also this site doesn't he seats a lot of leads for us. We also use airbnb monthly stays and 100% of our bookings come from airbnb and we have not gotten a single tenant from FF in the 15 months we have been listed on the site. Not sure if FF users are just looking for lower priced rentals or if airbnb is just that much better in the monthly rental game. Either way we will not be renewing our membership if FF doesn't fix this issues and we continue to not generate leads from the site.
The nurses I get from Furnished Finders are great! They are CLEAN, know their needs, and mostly pay on time. Some people don't even register with FF and just send you a private message. Many are just thinking about it and may not be interested. Or, they may say they want it even after a background check, but then when they change their mind they don't let you know.' Some send me messages and I try to respond right away, but they don't let you know that they are not interested. Some ask me questions that are answered on the FF website. Many want a discount even $300 or more less. It takes a lot of time to find a good tenant and when they only stay 3 months, it is becoming a waste of time. I cancel 1-2 vacations per year for indecisive prospective tenants and am thinking of canceling my membership just before it expires. People should register on your website and not have access to me independently. You should also advise good tenant behavior including not taking furnishings with them when they leave. Maybe have a short video to watch before using the website. And, stress professional communication as I don't need to be insulted as I was recently when someone wanted a month-to-month and my description says 3 months or more.
Oh I like Furnished Finder very much. Only $99, I find it to be exceptionally worth it. I tried renting it to area residence but I got exhausted with the haggling they insisted on. I haven’t had that problem with Furnished Finder. Professionals understand that if a product is top-notch, like minors, they’re willing to pay. I always do my research to see what the hospital stipend is for any professional coming in from a different part of the country. and I have no problem tailoring that to the rent. In return? They Will be invited to stay in a home that is absolutely perfect, super clean and professionally run. I’m a hands-off landlord which is preferred by professionals. The only complaint I have is that trying to get reviews from former tenants is challenging with Furnished Finder. I have contacted my previous tenants on numerous occasions, at their request. They were actually anxious to leave a five star review but the review they send , i’m told, pass to go back to Furnished Finder for their approval first. If that’s the case, that’s a flaw. My suggestion? Absolutely try Furnished Finder. You will be met with professionals who will treat your property the way it should be treated. I’m also pretty sure the $99 can be written off on your taxes.
Being a traveling Steward for Horse Racing, I travel a great deal. Recently, I returned to Southern Illinois for another season and had the supreme good fortune to find, through FF a 10 Star rental out of a possible 5- The Best! This is the ideal housing unit for 1 (or 2 max) travelers. It may appear small but is perfect: the free standing cottage is laid out with a shower stall and bathroom for 1 person at a time. The kitchen- food prep area- is open air with plenty of cabinets, basic utensils, a good refrigerator, microwave and sink. They are installing a W/D in the unit. There’s a comfortable couch in the LR w/a fully functioning cable TV. One BR with a Single bed & bureau & a large closet with shelving. Everything is perfectly located including the location which is 4 miles to the Interstate. One may think the super safe ( w/ gates and solid night lighting) property would be noisy, loud as it’s near a highway, but I never had a problem with noise from any source. It is a terrific private living space with incredible privacy and location. The best part of my stay was the landlords : Wonderful, incredibly warm and down to earth folks who went out of there way to make the stay a 100% success. I would go back there in a heartbeat if work took me back that way.
As a newer user of this platform to find mid term renters, the Furnished Finder site and app have been quite helpful. The customer service has also been good in answering my questions. We are in the middle of our first tenant and we were both pleased with how easy the process was in finding the tenant as well as the quality of those that inquired and applied we also have our next short term midterm Tenant already scheduled for when this lease expires. It is important to know, though for a new users that there will be some hiccups and questions along the way if you’ve never rented a place out before. However, the site has several tools as well as informative articles, and lastly, customer service representatives that can try and help with the process. the company also has connected to the friend finder platform, their own rent handling payment handling app that can also be linked to help not only process required applications and documentation, but also collect rent (for a fee) apparently it also remind the tenant to pay their rent, which has been kind of nice. All in all, I do recommend trying them out.
I had the good fortune to call this home on Minnie Street home for 6 months. It was just perfect, tucked away just off the beaten path. The commute to MUSC was about 10 minutes every morning. It was easy to get onto Saint Andrews because it has its own traffic light. The neighborhood is quite, and I felt welcomed and safe. The home has its own Simply Safe alarm and and a gated front yard that you can park in the driveway and shut the gate. The home is updated with all of the amenities, washer and dryer. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need or want. The bedroom with its very comfy king and bath is well appointed. The bathroom has a huge walk in shower, delightful!! The living space is comfortable and as a bonus there is a screened in porch with a swing and small table to have a meal or coffee. D and A are the best landlords, they take great pride in this home and it shows. The yard always looks professionally done and if I needed anything they were quick to help. These people have become very special to me and if your lucky enough to lease here you will be very happy and not want to leave!!! dj
Helpful in finding people, and the ability to see if they are a good fit through key check. I have been able to make sure I didn’t rent to people that were already in financial duress. So the background check is fabulous! Over all it’s a great tool. I do wish it was easier to navigate the app and website to find how to edit and view your listings. And I do wish you could see any or all inquiries that are put in. I receive emails weekly saying how many people are putting in inquiries, and now that my listing is up and running we have had 3 in 3 weeks. That’s not the 20-40+ the email was saying. So the marketing seems a little dishonest. But it still is a wonderful way to get connected. And I realize they were just trying to play on my anxiousness to get my listing up. Which is a marketing strategy, but sadly, still dishonest if there really isn’t that make people. And if there is, like I shared before, we should be able to see all the inquiries. Not just be limited to what they send us. Over all it’s a great app. I wouldn’t be able to find good tenants without it. Just had to be honest about the things I think they should change soon.
I wanted to rent by the month and that’s what you find in Furnished Finder. I have now found two different places to stay. The price is much cheaper than Airbnb, there are no fees except the ones imposed by the owner of the property such as a deposit and a cleaning fee, and a fee for having your dog with you. The only drawback is that when I put in a town outside of Kansas City, the results include a lot of properties in Kansas City, which I do not want. So I have to open information about the property and scroll down to find the map & open the map & see where the property really is. That’s a lot of work. That may be the fault of the owner listing the property. Anyway, the only drawback is how much work it is to find a rental exactly where you would like it. Although, there is a map and it will show dots where the different properties are and you can click on the dot and a small pop-up will show the first photo of the property & about 3 facts. I am very particular about the property I want to rent, so it was a tremendous amount of effort to find a place. Overall, though, I am very pleased with the app because I found two great places to rent at a lower price than Airbnb.
I stayed at Manny’s daylight basement studio for 6 months while on a travel contract and it felt like HOME. Manny is simply wonderful. He was warm, kind, generous and always available to help with anything I needed. The space is perfect for a single person or couple. More storage space that you need. It has a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, glass top electric stove with oven. Fully stocked with pots, pans, glass and dish ware. There is also a filtered water pitcher. Plenty of counter space and smart lighting throughout. Lots of consideration was placed in the design layout (he even put vent covers in place so the air is not blowing directly on you as you sleep 😊) Internet was fast and Roku Tv had all the channels I enjoyed. The bathroom is a bit on the smaller size but it worked fine for me. I enjoyed the “courtyard” outside my private entry. Manny recommended me using the front entrance of the home during the winter months for safety, and that was great. I absolutely recommend this property and would return to stay if ever I am back in the DMV. Thank you Manny!!! Please give my regards to our “house family” 🙏🏾
We listed our Property on January 3rd and within minutes had our first inquiry. By January 4th we had the tenant visit the property, screened through “Keycheck”, generated a lease through the connected app, lease signed and the first months rent and deposit in our account on the 5th with the most “adorable” couple of traveling healthcare professionals we could imagine. We wish they could stay forever! 5 stars so far. The only reason for the four stars is The system for notification regarding the next tenants is kind of wonky due to the fact that we receive requests for time frames inside of the current rental period. Some tenants notify no pets in the inquiry, but say they are traveling with pets in the narrative. Some potential tenants are turned off about the background checks, however if you get a copy of their hospital contract, they have generally been screened and drug tested by the employing hospital and the contract dates are generally on it, so that helps. Nothing substitutes for an old fashioned conversation, social media search, linked in search, and licensing check with the state of California. Highly recommend this company!
As a property owner, Furnished Finder has been a game-changer for connecting me with reliable, responsible tenants, especially traveling professionals like nurses and corporate travelers. The platform makes it incredibly easy to list my furnished property and reach the exact audience I'm looking for without dealing with high fees or complicated processes. One of the best features is the tenant screening tools, which give me peace of mind knowing that potential renters are qualified and trustworthy. I also appreciate the direct communication with tenants—no middlemen or third-party management companies, which helps keep the process smooth and personal. The app is intuitive and user-friendly, making it simple to update listings, set availability, and manage inquiries. Since using Furnished Finder, I’ve had minimal vacancy and found that my properties are getting the exposure they deserve. It's been a win-win for both me as a landlord and the tenants. Highly recommended for any property owner looking to rent to a specialized, trustworthy market!
I have found a great place to stay through this app. The only complaint I have is that one of the hosts very creepily tried hitting on me through the messages in the app when he tried offering his place as his roommate. I wasn’t comfortable with the exchange. I’d had many great interactions with other hosts, answering questions and generally being professional. This gentleman tried soliciting my professional services then asking me out. I wish FF could have done more of a background check, or in my case, somehow block him from seeing my profile because of the information he now had of mine in my general inquiry. I set my settings to private, but he still had too much info in my opinion. Another woman had a very uncomfortable stay with him and didn’t even finish her stay. I get that creeps are everywhere, but I wish more could have been done. So, as you would with any site/place, keep yourself safe. Overall, I’d still recommend this site to anyone and have recommended it to many people I know. The current place I’m renting is great and the process of finding it was so straightforward.
A fairly decent bulletin board for finding housing. I wish it had an option to dismiss listings when I look at them and determine they won’t work for me, so I don’t keep looking at the same ones! Also, sometimes it shows dates waaaaaay in the future…like a year out. Which is not helpful when I’m trying to find housing for a quickly approaching contract. I have had better luck with owners replying than I did a year ago, though it’s still not even 90%. And since owners can list on multiple sites, I have recently been in the position of almost completing a housing request only to find out that the property was booked a couple of weeks in the middle of my contract. I love that it shows location and I can figure travel time to assignments, though. Some very helpful features. It never shows my housing requests, though, and I almost never see reviews listed for properties. I was able to get a place using this site, but it doesn’t show up either. Which means that I am not being reviewed, so potential owners cannot see any references for me.
I’m so grateful I stumbled upon this cozy little property. I can’t emphasize enough how beautiful this apartment is. It’s a new addition to Greg and Jen’s home and has only had 2 renters including myself stay here. It is well kept, modern and has everything you need, including a garage! There is so much space and all of the furniture is actually comfortable. The location is great about 10-15 min from Mayo Clinic. And I will say my favorite part is the land this property is on. It is tucked away with only 2 other houses. You get the feel of living in the country or somewhat secluded but drive less than 5 minutes and you are right back to the city of Rochester. On top of the place being perfect, Greg and Jen are so great to work with. They want their renters to feel at home. They are easy going people who respect your privacy, but also happy to sit and have a conversation with you or even borrow a cup of sugar. If I ever find myself staying in Rochester again they will be my first call.
I’ve been successful at bringing in “cream of the crop” “5star” tenants for almost a year now. I only give FF a 4.5 star because of the frustrations to set up the original site and the length of time on hold to talk to the representatives. They are patient and effective at helping! I’m an old “non-tech” lady. It was hard to place my ad initially. But now it’s easy to turn on and off. Only cost me $130 start up costs/ year .…Mahalo to Furnished Finders! This has opened a whole new world for us. We have been able to get connected with the high quality, respectful, responsible, professional and retired tenants. Furnished Finders emails & texts me anytime there is a lead; matched, unmatched, or direct booking inquiries. I have been able to respond quickly to tenants that give me a direct inquiry. Also, having the responsibility of being a landlord, I have made sure that I respond to all direct inquiries… and confirming availabilities. Whether you’re a renter or a landlord, this is a win-win situation. Many mahalos for this great connection. We have more enjoyment being the host to the best!
There are a few things the app could improve on, for instance if you favorite a property and it gets removed by the landlord afterwards there is no way to remove the listing from your favorites even though it is blank. Also, if you switch to the map view to view properties and try to expand your search grid the app will not do this. You can do this online through their website. My biggest disappointment is that the landlords are not required by this FF service to respond to messages or keep their calendars up-to-date. I have a dozen requests to book messages that never even get opened, and then some where the landlord writes back to state they are booked until the following year even though their calendar shows them as available. I have been successful once in booking a property through this app while working remotely for a year now. And it was a wonderful experience. However I am unable to find consistent housing through FF. Several times now I have gone back to using AirBNB and VRBO because of the lack of response on my listing requests and messages through FF.
Our stay in this rental space was one of the best in our 2 years of travelling around the US. It was a short drive to the hospital that we worked at (Mills-Peninsula). Very quiet and nice place/neighborhood, you can sometimes hear the waves in the closeby beach if you chose to open the windows. The view from the large window in the living room was FANTASTIC especially during sunset. We felt so lucky to have stayed in such place! Ted and his team were really responsive to our needs and very accommodating. If given the chance, we would love to stay there again! Starting from the outside, A parking space that fit a 2019 Kia Sedona was available. A few steps towards the apartment and a few steps down is where their beautiful place sits. It was modern, clean and new when we came in, adequately lit all around. Basic necessities were available. Stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, WIFI, smart TV, washer and dryer. A furnace was available and heaters on every room. I didnt remember a fan but we didn’t need it during our stay as it was nice and cool. 2 Spacious Rooms were available, one had a queen sized bed and the other is a king. Each rooms had walk in closets with large mirrors. 2 full bathrooms were also available with one having a bathtub. There was also a small terrace at the back if you want to spend some time outdoors but sort of inside the house. Overall, it was a memorable experience staying here!
I am a traveling nurse from Indianapolis and came to Milwaukee back in November. I had originally moved Into an Airbnb and was extremely uncomfortable and did not like it. I came across this place and reached out to Abel and he was nice enough to let me come and tour his unit before deciding if I wanted to move in. The unit was brand new and looked amazing and I knew immediately this is where I wanted to be. He did everything by the books and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The neighborhood is extremely quiet, all the neighbors were friendly and extremely helpful during the winter (I got stuck a few times and needed help getting unstuck). The unit had everything one could possibly need for a stay. Abel was always quick with responding if there was an issue and was great with communication. This has been the best place I have ever stayed. If you’re looking for a nice clean quiet place to stay this is where you need to be !!!!
Easy and Low Cost Platform to Secure Tenants for your Mid-Term Rental
I love Furnished Finder. I use it to list my furnished property, and I have to say that I am extremely impressed with this service. The app is easy to use, and I was able to list my property in just a few minutes. The whole process was very straightforward, and the app guided me through every step. One of the things I really appreciate about Furnished Finder is that it is very affordable to list a property. I was able to list my property for a fraction of the cost of other platforms I have used in the past. This makes it an excellent option for anyone who wants to rent out their furnished property without breaking the bank. I highly recommend Furnished Finder. It is a great platform for anyone who wants to list their furnished property and find great tenants quickly and easily. The ease of use and low cost make it a fantastic option that I will definitely continue to use and share.
Wow, Saying good bye to The Holt House after residing there for 5 months was such a bitter sweet moment. The rooms each have their own theme and identity, as well as a private bathroom with lock and key which gives you total privacy. I had the pleasure of staying in the Paducah Room, which I love, and then moving into the Kentucky Room which I also enjoyed. The property owners Mrs. H & Mr. D will definitely make you feel at home. Mr. D. is quick to respond and assist in any way and willing to do as much as he can to make your stay comfortable. They are amazing people with a genuine heart Mrs. H. put her personal touches on this property and surely has a knack for hospitality. There is nothing that you would need, but not have while staying here. Going home on holidays and coming back to the Holt House felt like returning to a home away from home. The Paducah mall, restaurants and other businesses are just a short distance, five minutes by car or 15 minutes walk , making it the perfect location. I truly believe that you meet people in seasons of your life who make an impact, and Mrs. H, and Mr. D. are two who I will cherish as a part of my first travel assignment. One thing is fore sure, and that is if I’m ever assigned to another contract in Paducah, Kentucky I hope The Holt House is available. I would love to revisit and I recommend anyone to have The Holt House experience there’s no place like it. Best,
Furnished finder have improved their processes since I last attempted to use them a year or so ago. I did pay the fee to have my apt listed. The process of connecting with potential tenants is tricky though. When people post in the site about their rental needs, I guess the expectation is that landlords will reach out to them? Very few people actually directly contact me which makes me wonder about how my place comes up in the searches, and are tenants normally this passive? Its kind of the opposite of air bnb in the sense that I feel I have to be proactive to call potential tenants’ attention to my rental property listing if I think they will be a good fit and the apt lists their stated needs. Oh well, I’ll give this a year and see if I get renters. I may be biased, but I have a gem of a place that I want to share with others who can appreciate it and if I can’t, then I won’t make my rent and will have to give it up in a year. But I will continue to approach the process with a positive attitude!
It says “enter city, state, or property number” to search. But you can’t actually search a whole state. I want to be able to view all listings on the map within a certain region. But you can’t do that- you have to search a specific city. Then your search results, whether on the list or on the map, are only reflecting what’s listed in that city. That’s not helpful. To see a whole region, I have to do multiple searches for multiple cities. Please make the map reflect all listings in the map view. When I zoom out, I want to see more listings. Also, let’s hold landlords more accountable. They don’t respond to messages. They list properties as available but a lot of times they actually aren’t available. They list a price for rent, but then charge a different price when you inquire. My last landlord did not charge a cleaning fee or disclose a policy for cleaning or security deposit. Then when I checked out, they kept half my security deposit for the cleaning costs. I was not told. There are no policies on the listings. The listings on the app lack a lot of important information.
I needed a place to stay since my husband got COVID-19. I was searching for a place to stay and did not want to stay in a hotel since I have a young children and wanted for her to have some fun in this new situation. Then I found this beautiful place in Riverside. This place is breathtaking and the property owners are young and fun that my daughter was able to connect and learn new things. Our stay was amazing and my daughter and I love the space and views from the property. They have three gorgeous dogs. I believe we had a hard time leaving since we bonded with the owners and their three beautiful dogs. I am planning to come back next year. I just hope the place is available. I will recommend this place if it’s a short stay or long they are lovely people that open up their doors for people like us. I will always be grateful for their hospitality.
Always the first to check for housing availability
Furnish finder is amazing if you have availability in the towns that you are working in. When I’m needing a house instead of using my RV, I have always had relatively good luck with availability. My filters usually have to include dogs being allowed so it’s really nice to see that option. The messaging part of the app does pretty well with notifying you via text that there is a message waiting on the app. I have yet to have, in my experience, a bad experience using this platform. Furnish finder is what I use FIRST before I start going down the Facebook marketplace (or other equivalent) hole. I prefer to use Furnished Finder because these landlords have to pay a fee to be on this network and it makes a world of difference in your search with that added requirement. Give it a try! It doesn’t cost you anything to look as a tenant.
Furnished Finder is a great app and it’s relatively easy to use. I’ve been able to find a few amazing tenants through the app. I do have a few recommendations though. 1. A room rental/shared space option should be added as a property type. I waste a lot of time following up with prospective tenants that I’m matched with that are not looking for shared space. 2. Tenant management features should be fully integrated into the Furnished Finder site so that it can truly become a seamless one stop shop . 3. When sending a message to prospective tenants from the area that shows my matches, it should show previous messages that I sent to them. Currently, I have to go to the message area first just to make sure I haven’t already sent them a message. 4. For security purposes, prospective tenants should be required to add their picture, full name, and complete their profile. Landlords should be required to do this as well.
I was very skeptical about this service. It seemed to be a bit sketchy because when I started looking around for a trustworthy and reputable company to help me list the rental, it was the only thing that kept popping up. I know that seems an odd way to look at things. 😁 But with Google and other search engines listing sponsored websites as a priority, it really worries me that the well funded companies are the only ones I can see, that does not mean they are reputable! I should not have worried!!! This service is totally worth the money and so easy to use! I recommend it without reservations. I have had a lot of interest in the property and it rented within the first week. I know that may not be everyone’s experience but it was mine. If you’re looking for a solid website to list a property (mid-term rental) this is a great choice.
Apartment review Sui and Jorge are responsible and attentive landlords. They are quick to resolve any issue that may arise. The apartment has all your basic necessities. Kitchen is equipped with cookware and enough settings for a few people. There is a full sized fridge and microwave. Although the kitchen and bathroom are very small, this is common in Miami and with efficiency styled apartments. The bed is very comfortable and AC works great. Sui changed the filter every month which is very important in Florida humidity and summers. We didn’t use it much but there is a shared yard. The apartment has a private entrance and the landlords also take your trash from the outside bin they provide. Jorge was even accommodating when we had some car problems and maintenance. What you see is what you get with their apartment and that is a very welcomed and appreciated thing in Miami amongst all the scammers.
FF needs to delete the inactive listings. Too many hosts do not answer messages inquiring about their listings. It’s very frustrating when you’re seriously seeking housing. Also, there’s a lot of slum landlords on FF. I have personally seen units that are filthy, half cleaned, only surface cleaned , cockroaches, owner says “utilities included” but then ask you to pay when you decide to take their unit, owners who refuse to allow mail delivery to their house, owners who are unresponsive to issues or extremely slow responding to issues. Some owners act as if travel healthcare professionals are homeless bums who should be grateful for whatever the unit looks like, take whatever we can get and shut up about issues with the unit. Horrible, horrible ppl are using this site. FF, PLEASE DO A BETTER JOB VETTING THESE OWNERS. At the very least, allow us to provide your corporate office with a detailed, nonpublic, honest review of these places and the owners. Your reputation and future count on US BEING HAPPY. Also……developers, please upgrade this app. It’s always crashing, stalling, and just acting up.
Between my wife and I, we’ve been using this platform for over a year to (try to) find temporary housing during her travel nurse contracts. Furnished finder is close to being a great resource but unfortunately misses the mark. First off, owners of properties listed here rarely have up to date information and it seems that over 50% of the time they don’t even respond!! This is crazy inducing when you are searching for a place to live on a time constraint. Furnished finder needs to weed out the properties who are not actively responding to ALL inquiries, and properties that are not available should not be showing in searches. Also, property owners love to try and conceal the fact they they are listing a SHARED UNIT. In addition, the intuitiveness of this app is sub-par. There should be a way for the users to hide properties that they have already viewed and are not interested in. Overall, buggy app with little ability for holding bad listings accountable. Hard to trust that what you see is what you are getting, satisfaction guaranteed. Take a page from AirBnB’s book, Furnished Finder.
I’ve been working with Furnished Finder for over 8 years. This company has done a great job in improving its product over that time. There are helpful online tools that have been put in place to aid the customer. I have found that that company reps are courteous and patient and effective. Their follow through is impressive. They will stay with you until the issue is fixed. I have read other FF reviews that speak about poor service and confusion. To those I would say, if you take time to read the information and the instructions about how to use the platform you will have a great experience with Furnished Finder. “You get out of it what you put into it!” I have 4 apartments that stay rented with wonderful travel nurse tenants! If you take the time to work with FF, it can work for you too!
I have been a host with furnished-finders for 6 months now and I find the platform to be fantastic. The ease of yes from mobile tracking to desktop computers flows nicely. Their help with creating contracts, lease agreements, back ground checks, payment set up, and more is easy to understand and execute. Sure it’s a bit overwhelming at first, but by the end of our first guest stay we had our system down running smooth. The quality of midterm tenants is above other hosting platforms. I have less worry when tenants come work/schooling versus vacationing. I feel they want quiet safe and inviting places where they feel at home while away from home/family. I highly recommend Furnishedfinders and am willing to answer any questions from newbies especially about AZ TPT licenses and taxes.
Nothing wrong with the app itself, just Furnished Finder. Half of the properties I contacted that had the availability I needed regarding a mid term rental did not respond. One that did respond, responded with one word questions and answers, and asked about information I had already provided to her or wanted completely irrelevant information. Further, when I stated I had a registered service animal, she then raised the rent from the posted monthly rent by an additional $300 per month claiming it was a pet. I shared that what she had just done was illegal as I had clearly shared it was a registered service animal and subsequently received no further communications from her. When I reached out to Furnished Finder with the issue (including screen shots of the conversation with the landlord) and asked what their policy was for ensuring housing providers were aware of and in compliance with the Fair Housing Act and what the ramifications were if that policy was violated, I received a generic response several days later with no information regarding either of the questions I asked.
I’m a traveling healthcare professional who has used furnished finder for about a year to secure temporary furnished housing as I’ve taken contracts across the country. The listings themselves are fine and this has been a reliable place to book housing. However, the app itself is pretty awful. It crashes or freezes on me every time I use it. I tried to type a short message three times today and every time it froze halfway through and I lost my message. It always freezes when I look through pictures of listings, and I’m unable to use the map function to search for listings because each time I tap on a listing it doesn’t work, or pops up for a split second then goes away, or the app crashes. Additionally, it’s extremely annoying when I put in a move in date and it gives me places that are unavailable?? I need places that are available by the date I put in and do not need to see anything else. It makes it seem like there is so much more housing available when really they’re all booked way outside of when I need it. I wish I could put a radius of miles to search for housing within as well. If the map function ever works, that is. I have to continue using furnished finder because there doesn’t seem to be a better way to book temporary furnished housing, but something has to be done about the quality of the app. It’s becoming almost unusable.
If you’re looking for a home away from home, congratulations, you’ve found the perfect place! Miss Jennifer and her home is truly a hidden gem! Aside from her home being spotless, spacious and quiet, I felt so warm and welcomed in my 3+ months here. I had a personal entrance to my room which was very nice since I work night shift. The room darkening curtains were an amazing and necessary touch as well! The bed was very comfortable and there is plenty of space for storage. The bathroom shower felt like a spa which was amazing after long 12 hour shifts. I love to cook at home and so having a fully equipped kitchen was amazing. Having hot tea and yoga on the back balcony was my favorite part of the weekends. Ms Jennifer is amazing. She was so caring, attentive and accommodating to my specific needs. This place truly became my second home!
I wanted to rent out a spare room in my home, but I was scared to let any stranger in. I heard about this website from a friend who is a nurse and I decided to give it a try. I liked the idea of short-term rentals for traveling professionals. I knew that I was more likely to find the type of tenant I wanted who is clean and responsible. I also identify with the need of needing a short-term furnished rental because I once needed it during my internship. I love the idea of also the helping someone who may be in that need. Furnished Finder equips landlords with the help and assistance needed. I like that it verified me as the home owner, which makes it a more reliable source for people in search of a safe place. It’s a great way to help out with home expenses and I like that they don’t charge landlords with booking fees! Furnished finder is great!
I’m a Travel Nurse and when I travel, I prefer to find places to rent, then stay in a hotel for 13 weeks. When I saw this cute home for rent that was close to the hospitals, I knew I wanted to stay there. It was wonderful! Not only was the location perfect, for where I was working, it also was the perfect size for me as a travel nurse. Just enough space to make me feel at home. And not only was the house. Wonderful, but also the landlords. They went way above and beyond to help mean feel at home and helped me anyway they could. I am extremely grateful for everything they did for me. They made my stay in Augusta, so much better! I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to travel to and work. I can’t say enough good things about it!
As a medical professional and an owner of a home for rental, I decided to give the app a chance. From the look of it, there isn’t much traffic on the app, they may need to expand the targeted audience. To help look like there is generated interest, the system algorithm pulls and send you notification that have little to no correlation to the criteria of your property. I take it that it’s done to get you to login. Unfortunately it also wastes your time. They may want to expand to other traveling professionals to increase the volume. Also if they allow 2 weeks to 1 year, that might help. Lastly, home prices should at a minimum be set, depending upon the month. The high and low months can’t be reflected on the current system. Maybe option for discount if they book more than a month from the beginning. Lastly, advertising would probably get more foot traffic to the app. Good intentions from the developer but lacks refinement.
Would be nice to know the average amount of time (in months) a property is rented out for the year. Would like a notification when there are updates to the site. As it stands we have to login and just hunt around to see what changes have been made. We should be getting notifications when updates are made AND telling us which updates have been made. Also, instead of asking travelers to write a review (which seems impossible) How about a 4-6 questionnaire that they can just select a 1-5 star rating. That way it’s fast for them and it’s good for us the host who actually care to get some type of review on our listing/s. LASTLY, It would be a nice feature to see how many views our listings are getting. This would help us so that we can make changes if we are getting low views.
Not only is the app the terrible, the business also has bad ethics
The annual fee is very expensive for something that brings zero traffic. I was always able to find tenants on other services for a much cheaper price. I am not surprised however that no one uses the app (and that there is as a consequence zero traffic) given how poorly designed it is. It is very hard to navigate and pretty frustrating. What’s more, I’ve been trying for months to delete the listings without success, finally got charged again a new annual fee that I can’t get refunded. When I managed to find a contact to send an email, they claimed that they would not refund me because it had been more then 10 days. When I pointed out that it had been exactly 10 days, the manager suddenly said the limit was 7 days. All their services are so poorly designed that it’s impossible to see anything, let alone the contract. Rarely have I seen a customer service so disagreeable and unwilling to incorporate good business practices.
I just wanted to leave a review on a house I stayed in in Louisville Ky The address is 3013 university road This is a whole 1 bedroom house that has a driveway , 3 entrances and tons of charm . A covered front porch with a table and two chairs that is perfect for quiet reflections as the house sits back off the street . There is a very cute side porch where you can sit with a cup of coffee and watch the birds . My favorite outdoor space however is a patio right off the kitchen entrance , there I spent most of my free time , a huge catalpa tree shades this spot so even in the heat of the day it’s very comfortable . This property sits on a very nice piece of land that feels very private with wildlife galore , during my stay I saw deer, raccoons , birds and turtles , giving it a country getaway kind of feel . The house itself is very well maintained with many recent updates , new bathroom with new tiled shower, sink and toilet , there is also a linen closet in the bathroom with enough shelving for all toiletries , towels and washcloths . New paint throughout and new flooring as well . It’s a very very comfortable spot and I truly enjoyed my stay . The furniture is clean and comfortable . I would definitely recommend this house to anyone needing a home away from home.
The app is basically unusable at this point. I can’t search and scroll past 5 properties without the app freezing and crashing. An error message keeps coming up any time I try to remove properties from my favorites list and now I can’t scroll to the bottom of my favorites because the app keeps freezing and crashing. Property owners do not have accurate listings. A good example is places will list themselves as having a “full kitchen”, but the “kitchen” is a microwave, a hot plate, and a mini fridge. Pictures are not accurate. People will list multiple properties but won’t or can’t keep track of which of their listings you’ve actually sent a booking request for. The dates that they list themselves as available are almost never correct. We’ve had multiple people cancel on us last second. Finding places as a married couple has been a trial because multiple times we have waited a week for a response just for them to say their space is only for one person (even though the space is more than enough for two people). It’s also not indicated anywhere on the listing that the space is only for one person. Only giving the app 2 stars because we did have a really good experience with one place we rented. So it is possible to find decent places if you’re willing to put in tons of work and if you just get lucky.
I’m new to this platform and found it fairly easy to set up. However, one thing that is bothersome is the tiny outgoing message window (3-lines are visible). This may not be a problem for someone using a desktop or laptop with a mouse, but working on a tablet and touchscreen is difficult when messaging. The window is very small, I cannot scroll to see what was typed without using arrows. If you are looking for improvement suggestions, my first is to enlarge the window, so the whole outgoing message can be seen. It would also be helpful to allow copying. Using a touchpad I am generally capable of copying and pasting existing content (sent messages) but not here. Rather than copy a message and saving time, every message has to be typed repeatedly so it’s not an efficient system as a user.
I love the fact that Furnished Finder lets us manage our own properties—specifically, the fact that they let us do our own screenings. This is so important to me because I have multiple rooms that I rent out to different people and I feel I cannot responsibly put someone in there with others if I am not allowed to know if they are safe or not. I called a popular competitor in the short term rental world to ask if I could screen or at least k ow the results of their built in screening and I was told that was an invasion of the privacy of the potential tenants. I canceled my account with them, as the safety of my tenants has to trump any extra rent I would get from rooms for which they would bring me tenants. No to them! Furnished Finder is for me!!
I have been using Furnish Finders for a while now and in the beginning it was a little difficult to figure the workings of it out but as you go along and learn it gets easier and easier to use and the tenant checking and other things that the site offers even Though some are a little extra money it is worth it. And there sometimes is a little lag between getting an email notice and then it posting on your dashboard but it shows up within a short period of time so it’s all working out well. Also, I wish that the Tenant lead and messages could be linked so you could see it all at the same time I wind up writing a message a second time to the same tenant lead because it’s not on the same page. Thank you. I must say things are getting better
Wow! Seeing reviews made two years ago with the same complaints I have today tells me they are never going to fix the problems! It’s an awful app and not user friendly AT ALL! The filters never work properly. It always shows hotels even if you uncheck hotels in the filter. When you request an individual booking and the landlord messages you back it never links the property in the messages so you have random people emailing and messaging you, but you have no idea what property they are talking about. It also gives you the option to put out a general housing request and sends a mass interest request to nearby properties, but then you have people contracting you telling you they don’t have availability when you never actually sent out an individual request, plus there’s no link to the property they are even talking about. SO frustrating and not user friendly! Fix your awful app!! You might actually get more business if you do!
The provided service is a great value. From my experience using the app hurts the users and effects the service poorly. The website is far better than the app. If prospective tenants are only using the app they could be missing properties that fit for them. I was unable to find my own unit in the app when I used the filters, but I didn’t have an issue on the website. I have noticed that on both app and website the listings should be in availability order but they aren’t 100% of the time. I would recommend all tenants to fill out a housing request in addition to searching yourself. Try not to use too many filters as it may cause you to miss out on a property that fits your wants and needs.
I had the privilege to stay in this 3 bedroom home in Milwaukee while on assignment at St Luke’s hospital. The house itself was perfect. Everything I needed to feel right at home. John and Tim are wonderful and so very gracious. They do live in the house in front but the only time I knew it was when they were out shoveling snow for me!! The neighborhood was great. At first site I was questioning my decision about this area but ended up LOVING it. Only a 13 minute drive to work and a five minute drive to be downtown. I didn’t have any issues for them to address but I am certain if I had they would have been dealt with swiftly. 5 stars! If ever I choose to come back to the area, I could only hope this place is available. Thank you both John and Tim for such a wonderful home
I am a traveling healthcare worker and have used this app/service to find housing. I rate it 1 star because they do nothing to police their listings or even follow up with you when you report a user. I once signed a contract and sent a deposit to somebody for housing and with less than a week to my assignment they wanted to postpone the move in day which I couldn’t do and resulted in them cancelling my contract and me having no recourse. Furnished finder said that’s ok with them and allowed them to continue listing. People take your phone number for who knows what and stop replying. They don’t care as long as they continue to pay to list a property. The app itself is pretty buggy. The messages sometimes don’t send or send twice. The filters for searching houses often show properties outside the date range you want and the price only goes up in $200 increments. You may as well try your chances with Craigslist or facebook marketplace.
