Two Apps?

I downloaded the Good Sam camping app and got a message to download a new version. That took me here to an entirely different app. Who creates a second app instead of upgrading the first one? Come on Good Sam. It should be easier to sign up for and integrate all your services in one place and then access those services on a seamless app. This isn’t 1980 anymore. Why would I have to manually enter numbers for insurance and roadside assistance on my Good Sam account? Your website and app should be doing that automatically.

Horrible Upgrade

I can’t imagine a more horrendous upgrade. The old Good Sam app was incredibly functional for campers on the road. This one is absolutely unusable. The campground database is absolutely dysfunctional and does not provide the information you need. Whoever created this upgrade was clearly not a user or a member. I hope you didn’t spend a lot of money on upgrade programming. What a waste.

Not an upgrade

Wow this app is so much worse then the original app. Trying to cram way to much into the app it’s over complicated now. You also used to be able to see if a location was open all year or what their season range dates were at a glance from the main page now it doesn’t show at all. Horrible upgrade.

MT RV’ers

We stayed at Cowboy RV Park in Pocatello, ID. It is super clean, has friendly family owners, free newspaper and coffee or hot chocolate in the morning. All sites were well-maintained, washing machines, showers, and toilets were very nice. We will stay there again for sure!! Thanks.

Meh

You have to keep adding your membership because it doesn’t stay logged in, there is no way to review the campgrounds for other members general information good/bad experiences not all parks are created equal. You also can’t book on the app, it just links you to the website. Honestly this app is a waste of space.

Worthless

Glad I didn’t pay for it. I downloaded to have access to trip planner in route but it only takes me to RV rentals ????? Did not explore much more of it since they can’t get that right. Judging from the ratings over the past several months my guess is they are not fixing it.

Awful and sneaky

Had the Good Sam roadside app and the GS camping app. Both were fine and neither were fee based. The deleted the roadside app and created a new app that requires a membership! Even though I have the roadside coverage, that's not enough, I guess, to use the app without paying a membership fee. Oh well. Guess they don't need my business.

Not Good Sam!

This app is basically worthless. It's unstable, makes you sign in over and over again. The interface is clumsy and cluttered. It's a real pain to find a campground and the information you could easily get in the old app. You will most likely will never get a rating above 1 on this app the way it is now.

Doesn’t Work

I’m a Good Sam member. I prefer to use my tablet in a horizontal manner and this app cannot do that. When you click on My Trips it takes you to RV Rentals instead. In order to use My Trips I have to use the website. What’s the point of having an app that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do?

All about the Benjamins

Since Lemonis took over, GS has been all about making money. This app is geared towards RV rentals. Fairly useless to the longtime GS member that is looking for membership info, campgrounds, and benefits. The old app worked great to find campgrounds…now it says get the new app. Don’t bother. How about one app for everything GS. Dear GS, try again.

Totally worthless

If GS paid more than 15 cents to the app developer, they paid to much. I went to sign in and they couldn’t find my information. I created a new account with the same email and it says email is already used. I have no time for this

Awful

This is one of the worst apps I’ve used. You enter a large town to search and it will say 0 campgrounds. Then you do a search online and they come up, with several GS campground. Happened over half the time as I was planning a trip. Useless

But why?

The good people have taken a marginally useful app and successfully turned it into a whacky RV rental app. All options on the bottom menu bar seem to end up at the rental site. Trip planning takes on to the rental status page. Waste of effort.

Of little use!

I signed up for Roadside Assistance and the only thing this app does is to provide my membership number and expiration date. If I need service I have to call the number on my printed card. This app is nothing more than a glorified sales tool.

Installed, couldn’t get logged in, uninstalled Done

Installed the app as recommended by the CW website. Couldn’t log on in the app. Uninstalled the app, restarted the iPhone, changed password still couldn’t get logged in. Uninstalled the app. I’m done. Done with CW too. Not worth the aggravation.

Go back to the old app

I have used Good Sam and the app for years to plan trips and to look for campgrounds. This new app is terrible. It doesn’t show anything except wanting you to rent an RV. It appears to be more about selling you things. What a step backwards.

Glad I didn’t delete old app

This one is non functional as far as I’m concerned. The old one works better for my needs. With do many bad reviews you would think it would be fixed. Another major camping app is rated 4.5.

My garage not working

So far not a bad app, first time ever downloading a good Sam app, but when I add a picture of my RV it’s shows up upside down. I even flipped the picture before adding it, and it still shows up upside down. Maybe an omen for the rest of the app?

Doesn’t work for me

App gives a error message to contact support after signing in. Contacted support they said delete app and sign back in. Still doesn’t work. Works if I go to sign in on the web bypassing the app.

Can’t use trip planner

Can’t plan a trip, it goes to a RV rentals screen. Liked the old app, not impressed with this new app. It has been out long enough to listen to feedback and make it a usable product, but sadly no!

Worthless

This app is worse than useless. Constant server and gateway errors trying to do anything. Don’t even think about trying to search for a campground. It’s making me regret renewing my membership.

WHY???

You took a great tool and turned it into something useless. I don’t why I have to deal with rental RVs when I’m not interested in that. Just want to see the campgrounds where I am planning to go. Totally worthless app now. So disappointed!!

Bad app

Worst app ever! Try to get on your saved trips and it takes you no saved rentals. Once you’re a member they constantly try to have you sign up for more stuff!

Lots of issues

Well says my account is associated with another email.. now it wont even let me log in at all.. so basically a useless app at this point. Needs alot of work.

The new goodsam app is terrible

The new app has reduced its usability fo finding campsites to the point it is useless. I used the old app all the time. Unless the new app is improved I will remove it from my apps

Bring back the old trip planner.

I went to plan a trip as I had done in the past and it sends me to a rental site. The old site was much better for planning an extended trip.

The old app

This new app is terrible. The old trip planner was my go to for directions anywhere. Now it a online dealer instead of what it was a great informative website.

Pretty useless

Cannot validate membership

New app keeps saying my membership is associated with another email. The same email I use to log into the website.

The only app on my phone that requires constant logging in between uses. Completely unusable.

Awful and worthless

Few sites even listed. Figures as much as Good Sam now A Camping World entity so poor service and 1 star product to be expected I guess. Delete.

Piece of junk

The new app is a piece of junk. It charges a fee to book a site. Fortunately, the app is so bad it would not let me even book a rv site.

Rental? Really?

This is all about RV rentals and nothing that adds value to me. The old app was not really useful and this one is worse. Adding an RV to the garage signs you up for RV rentals. One of the worst apps I have ever seen

Terrible Upgrade

The old (yellow) Good Sam app is one of my go-to RV camping tools. The app has been totally ruined in the new update. Thank goodness the older one is still available.

Worthless app

This crappy app is only good for those that want to rent RVs or want to shop for insurance or roadside assistance. What happened to the trip planning feature? Good Sam is headed for the toilet.
