I like this app because you don't have to Google what's playing in your area. Just open the app and you have all your new movies and movie theaters right there in your area. You can even watch previews just by tapping a movie you're interested in. I also love the fact that you can buy and reserve tickets ahead of time so you don't take the chance of driving to a theater all hyped up only to find out That they are all sold out! Also when you buy through the app you rack up points that you can use for free movies and snacks on top of freebies you get for your birthday and the anniversary date you first signed up! Have def been recommending to my friends and family!
The app is very easy to use because it saves your favorite theater so that you can easily see what is playing. I also like that the show times are right there for you to see. No more navigating to each movie just to see the times. I would like the option to save a payment method and use two forms of payment. A note to the theater, I really don't like the $5.00 fee to book my own tickets when I don't even interact with one person.
The Goodrich theater app opens with the theater of your choice, and it's easy to scroll down and see what's playing. It's very convenient to select your seats and pay before hand, and just show the barcode at the scanner station before you enter the theater. I also like getting free popcorn from their rewards program!
I’ve had this app for a while and lately I have been having trouble with it. Not all the movie options show at all times and my purchases that show up are from a couple of years ago. So I can’t tell if my points are updating correctly. My youngest daughter went to the movies and when she tried to redeem the free medium popcorn she was still charged. I don’t understand what is going on with the app lately. I used to love it. Please fix it. I emailed customer service but haven’t received a reply back yet. As soon as these issues are fixed I will change my rating to a 5 star.
I wanted to a use a gift card upon checkout. Because the amount of the tickets exceeded the balance of the gift card, I was not allowed to apply the funds of the gift card to the amount due and pay the remaining balance with another form of payment. I had no problem using the Fandango app which allowed me to apply the gift card and check out using my credit/debit for the remaining balance. This apps interface is well done and provided me a pleasant experience besides when it came to paying for my movie tickets.
Very useful for tracking my "frequent moviegoer points". Also I can buy tickets from the app. I have 4 stars because one thing that is frustrating is that you cannot do 2 forms of payment on a purchase. If you have a gift card, you must have either the exact amount or more available to use it. Would be nice to use a gift card AND be able to pay the difference...
Your reward program isn’t very good I signed up and supposed to 2050 points well that kind of went on there went to the movies early to make a turn 50 I did not add any of the tickets that I have purchased in the last three weeks or so I keep having to take the tickets back is so keeps telling me I have zero rewards which is not true it makes me wanna leave this company and go somewhere else I thought this was good for people at the theater agree with this reward program that’s terrible
Love this app to track GQT Rewards points! It gives you a balance and lists any offers you may have. They give you Birthday rewards for free popcorn! Love that you can turn points in for free movies with a gift card!
Would love to use this app to get my tickets since the fees are lower than Fandango but it never works right. Can usually get to the payment option before it times out the then when you try to buy them again the seats are blocked out while you wait for the hold to be removed. Good thing they took the time to update it just for it to still be useless
There is nowhere to log into an account in this app UNTIL you go to purchase tickets. It then prompts you to enter your account info or continue as guest. I entered my existing account info which then caused the app to give an error with no way to go back. After refreshing and trying again, the seats I picked are now greyed out and can’t be picked even though I never paid for them. What changed? This app used to work just fine a few years ago.
This app used to work great before the pandemic but after the pandemic it has been terrible. It never connects to the rewards page, it always says “connection error” and it doesn’t let me accumulate points. Everytime I purchase a ticket logged in to my account, it makes me log in again after the purchase, and my account appears completely empty with no purchase history and 0 points. Awful, frustrating app!
Loads all the information for current and upcoming movies but doesn’t allow me to login using my google account. You have to login to be able to use and view the digital rewards card. I’m able to login on my browser, but can just view movie information there too, defeating the whole point of the app.
I really enjoy using this app for checking out showtimes and buying tickets in advance. The movie rewards section could use some work. Information on your current point balance and the rewards you are eligible for would be a fantastic addition.
I used to love this app. Easy to use, convenient, could check points, and buy tickets. I haven't been able to see what movies are playing or times for months in my area let alone access points or tickets. I understand updates need to be done, but this has been ongoing for MONTHS. I have to use their website just to see what's playing. Bummer.
I used to be able to pull up my favorite theater and see a listing of the movies that are showing and times. That way I could choose which movie fit my timeframe. Now I have to choose the movie to see the times. And it shows theatres that are hours away from me. I don’t need that. I will have to continue to use the website for GQT instead of their app.
There’s no way to actually log into the app for faster checkout. When you choose your seats and put in your information it gives an error screen with no way to go back and when you reload the app the seats you chose are locked out for like 15-20 minutes so you have to wait for them to be released by the app. All in all it’s 100% a trash app!
App works pretty well, but I’d love the ability to add my FMG card to Apple Wallet. You could even geocode it show on my lock screen when I’m at the theater. I would love that. 😍 How about adding my ticket to Wallet as well to support upcoming Do Not Disturb features in iOS 12? That would be awesome!!
I don’t know if it’s because the loyalty system got upgraded or what but it’s impossible to log into my original loyalty account. I can’t for forgot password because it doesn’t have my email in the database and I can’t log in with Google because it has an error. When I make a new account, it won’t even stay logged in for me to apply it to a ticket order.
App has not worked correctly for sometime. It doesn’t show my recent tickets purchased online. Have to print them. The app doesn’t apply my rewards for purchases made online. App doesn’t pull up my rewards account for scanning and using at concessions. It use to do all of these things, seems to be full of glitches.
This app used to work great. A couple months ago it started having issues letting me log in which they acknowledged, so I figured they’d get it sorted out. Now when I click a movie it will show the showing for a theater 150 miles away. When I try to buy tickets, I can only do it as a guest. This used to be a great app, now it’s a joke. It doesn’t even make sense. HELP!
As a frequent movie goer to the same theatre this app is wonderful. I order my tickets ahead, pick my seats and that's it. No more waiting in line or getting to theatre to find out the movie is sold out.
It works for getting showtimes and seeing what’s playing. But it’s terrible when it comes getting rewards checked or anything in that tab. Usually don’t use the app for more than checking showtimes since you will have to pay a service charge.
I love using this app to book tickets, retrieve booking codes, and check points earned. It's easy to use, simple to understand, and easily navigated. Great app and directly to the point!
The app in its current state has far less utility than the GQT website. Based on recent reviews the app has been in this condition for some time now. If upgrades are going to be this prolonged and cripple the app to this degree, perhaps consider removing the app from the App Store until a functional version is ready for use.
Please add Apple Pay so I don’t have to enter my credit card information every time. There also doesn’t seem to be a way to remove used passes from wallet app.
Easy to accumulate rewards. The Gibsonton theater is amazing! Only cons are being charged a booking fee if buying tickets online and can't use the military discount online either.
It’s a great app for buying movie tickets when you aren’t in front of a computer. But it needs Apple Pay integration. Typing all the credit card details gets annoying on the small app form.
The previous version of this app made it very easy to access the Loyalty section. Now it is hidden under Extras and not incorporated into the Account section, which makes no sense. Definite customer experience improvements are needed.
You would think when you have an account on an app you should be able to make sure everything is correct on it. Used my phone number at the theater was told no account associated with it. Yet can’t check on this app.
I downloaded to be able to sign in and keep track of points and order tickets. But I can’t sign in at all. None of the buttons work when you get to the options to sign in or sign up. Would love to be able to actually use the app.
Love going to Holland 7 vs Star Holland, however the app is a joke! Doesn’t load. Will not move to the sign in section. Supposed to receive a discount at the concession stand but how can you get that when you can’t log on? And of course the people at the theater couldn’t help. Need a lot of work!
The worst app ever! Tried to save my card to my account. Says click the share button. What share button? There isn’t one! If I’m logged into my account when I purchase tickets it should know my rewards number! I should not have to enter it separately! Horrible app!!
I use this app every time I buy movie tickets. I even use this app when I a checking current showings. The GQT Riverview is the BEST movie theater I have ever experienced.
Pros- Useful for keeping track of points and reserving specific seats in advanced. Cons- Can't use two forms of payment (making multiple gift cards a no go) and booking fee is expensive.
It's easy to navigate however flaws are with the theatre itself. Can't scan from the phone either tickets or rewards card. Shouldn't be charged a booking fee. Other apps like AMC has much more options from the app.
App does not work. If you can actually log in, purchases are not shown and points are not there. Have to use web browser. Fix it already. It can’t be that hard. This has been going on since it relaunched.
Any time I try to open up the ticket I bought in the app, it crashes. I wouldn’t buy a ticket on this if you don’t have easy access to the email you register with.
