Please🙏Help me.....

I’m glad to see Hallo, it is awesome 👏🏻 proud of you. I’m using this app for 3 month and it is great for learning English skills......but But today I found bug in there and I am very sad about it because I lost a lot of my lessons .... During the use of this program, I enrolled many professors and met many elite students. I did, but unfortunately today, when I wanted to open my account, I could not open it, and this kind of problem was created for many people, and when I wanted to open it, it said that a new account with the same name would be opened for me again .....and when I created new account I couldn’t find my teachers and friends and there was not any LS.... Please solve our problem ♥.

Excellent conversational practice!!

Great app! The AI free conversation is super helpful for learning a brand new language! I’ve been studying Portuguese about one month for my job and use Hallo’s lessons in addition to Duolingo because Duolingo is slower and better for when I only have a minute or so and for practicing pronunciation but Hallo actually helps me hear more sentences and phrases in context and much more quickly than Duolingo. I feel like I learn so many random words in Duolingo but Hallo gives me immediate conversation skills and common words and phrases I would be using in introduction situations. The AI convo pushes me to recall what I know quickly and it understands me even if my responses are broken with either a poor accent or bad grammar. The AI teacher also speaks in long sentences that help me fill in the blanks and learn more of the words and phrases I want to use. Great app!! Only give 4 stars for now because I still use it with Duolingo because I want additional help with pronunciation. I only use the free version though so if I paid for a tutor maybe that would be included.

The next big app in language learning 🙌🏼

This app is so cool! There will soon be 1000s is streamers (teachers) and millions of people learning a language. You can make money teaching English in a fun and inclusive video chat. I’ve taught English for 4 years and Hallo is by far the most promising app to become fluent. It helps people overcome their fear of speaking and helps people find tons of opportunities to practice speaking with others. Some teachers are making $15-20 an hour per live stream, and more ways to make money coming soon!! Seriously, such a cool and creative way to learn a language, without having to pay to move to another country and experience the culture. Now you can on Hallo.

Most underrated app!

“Hallo is the most underrated app for learning English.” “It’s my first day here and this app is absolutely amazing.” These are just 2 statements I heard from my students today. Hallo has brought a social aspect to a language learning app which produces a community of learners where everyone is eager to help each other; the teachers and the students are equally involved. Well done, Hallo! I look forward to being a part of this growing organization!

Does the Hallo Support Email Work?

The Hallo app is —BY FAR— one of the BEST apps to get English tutoring from or to teaching English from! It’s Instamatch feature’s connection has improved TREMENDOUSLY and I planning on tutoring with it a lot! However, I’ve recently been trying to reach out to to Hallo Support about “monthly requirements for Hallo tutors,” because I wasn’t sure if Hallo teacher requirements also apply to tutor. My account still works. I believe it’s been downgraded to a student account because all of the normal communication features work, which is why I wanted to asked if Hallo tutors and teachers monthly requirements are the same. I did receive some money for the first Instamatch I conducted some months ago, so I know Hallo pays out. So, that’s not an issue. My current problem is that “not one of my emails were replied to.” I didn’t even receive an automatic email. I’m not sure of the exact number, but I believe I contacted Hallo Support about 5 times by email, spaced apart. So, I should have gotten one reply by now I promise I’ll fix my 2 star review after I get a reply from Hallo support, because you all really deserve 5! I just want some help with my issues and it really feels bad to feel ignored…

Bugs

I like the overall concept. My first thought was it was better than Duolingo. Then I started taking the quizzes and I got the answers wrong because all answers were correct but I didn't know which one the bot wanted me to choose. For example, "I live in... City A, B, C, or D. Without context I have 25% chance of getting it right. Which one does it want me to choose? The second bug is that some lessons show "Error loading script" The third bug is that I sometimes I can't press the X or Skip button during an ad. Anyways, I like the app. It's just kind of buggy.

Hallo is your chance of English fluency!

I downloaded this app more than 5 months ago. I did a presentation in one of my classes, and I wasn’t satisfied with the results. Therefore, I decided to look for an app to improve my speaking skills and I found Hallo. Honestly, when I started using it, I was very amazed and happy, too. I was always using Instamatch and watching live streams. I even started thinking in English now , and I feel more confident speaking English. I highly recommend it from experience!

English Practice made easy!!!

This is an excellent platform to practice English with others. For non native speakers it is essential to develop opportunities to practice frequently with others to gain the muscle memory and build confidence. This is the app where you can do it. For native English speakers wanting to help create opportunities to help people around the world to speak this is a perfect app to do so. It also allows for recognition and understanding of a variety of cultures around the world.

Promising but bug heavy

This app seems promising and I’m excited to be able to actually use it. In its current state, I cannot do any lesson without it going back to the main screen. It does the same for the role play selections, even in multiple different languages. The farthest I could get was two responses and then it would send me back to the Home Screen. Once app is actually useable beyond this I would love to come back and give it 5 stars, for now, I’ll remain at 3 with the hope it will be resolved quickly.

We want old hallo

Hey hallo was awesome before a year when there was live streams and we could use insta match whenever we want but nowwww there's nothing even if I want to send a msg to my friends I can'tttt I'm really sad about it please do smth about it we really want the old hallo not the one u created nowww😭😭 I'm sure after the new version u guys lose most of the hallo users I hope u guys will do smth abt it🙂👍🏻

Life changing!

I’m actually a teacher on Hallo and I can’t say enough about it. Meeting the most amazing people from all around the world has been life changing. Teaching English on Hallo has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life and it just keeps getting better. The culture on Hallo is positive and engaging.. watch out, it’s addicting.. in a really good way!

Great app!

It's great for both students and teachers. The students can learn at their own pace, and the teachers can teach whenever they can! It's a great idea, and the app is always progressing. The creators are also involved in the learning process, too, as they make live stream lessons just like normal teachers. Definitely recommend it as a learning tool!

I have used the Hallo from the beggining of the app’s first days. I was in US about 7 years but i was at home all the time. Because of that, i couldnt improve my speaking skills, After i started to use Hallo, my daily conversation skill improved a lot. Thank you for creating this amazing app. I will be always appreciate

Easiest way to learn English (and in a fun way too!!)

This app is the perfect app to learn and practice speaking English. It is also a great way to meet and make friends with English learners from all over the world! It is such a great community as well. Follow Hallo’s Instagram and Facebook (@HalloGlobal) for really helpful live videos for great English tips as well! 10/10 recommend.

Such a Smart App!!

The hardest thing about learning a language is finding the time and people to practice talking with, and this solves that problem! This makes talking with others in a new language easy and fun even. Not to mention great design and functionality. Highly recommended.

The only cool thing about this app was the instaMatch and students’ livestreams, but unfortunately you have removed these two awesome features. Hope to get them back

Poor UX

A good idea, but asks for money immediately after you select a translation. And I am 100% against filters for adults when conversing with an AI in the privacy of my home. That I am paying for. But the number one reason I cannot recommend is the UI and overall design is very basic and poor. And it's expensive. Anyway, I would will not be paying for an app that seems half- baked, and not ready yet.

Practice with students and teachers in online clubs with subjects you are interested in. A great way to learn practical language skills.

Hallo was better before

Hallo was better before. Every students were getting better and better day by day because there were Livestreams and instamatch which helped us so much but this update is absolutely useless for everyone and not lot of people uses it anymore

I have been using this application for 1 year. Today i have texted my friend by my country language and after that Hallo apps say i used bad word but i used my country language in the text then i suspended from Hallo app for 3 days so help me because i use this application lots of time

Too many glitches

Unfortunately, this app glitches every time I start a lesson. Great concept but poor execution, but I’m excited to see where this can go when they fix the UX. Also, the lessons jumped right into speaking Spanish without translating what you have to say. Luckily, I know a little Spanish so I was able to understand but I wouldn’t recommend the Novice lessons to actual novice speakers.

Confused

I am trying out the AI thing with my conversational skills in German. I thought this app would help me with my sentences but it didn’t. I purposefully asked a question incorrectly and then correctly. Neither were marked incorrect. Do I have to subscribe to see just that basic thing?

Instamatch filter doesn’t work at all

I’ve purchased premium plan, but unfortunately I can’t choose Region & Gender from Instamatch filter, every time I click on a specific region/gender option it returns to back without selecting the option. I sent an email to the support team with screen record few days back but no response from support team.

“Sorry something went wrong, please try again”

It worked for free for the 5 minutes daily limit. But after I paid for it this is all I receive as a response. Great idea, hopefully another company does this so I have something that works Edit: I found another app that works — TalkPal. Hallo wouldn’t work most days, TalkPal has no issues.

App problems direct message to app development sector

The app is much worse than it's previous version, and needs a lot of development it became more heavier than it was. You need to rent yourselves a server so you can manipulate the that massive amounts of users and their data. The huge problem is with dealing with live videos and messages take a long time. If you have noticed my note. I think you should consider it as a friendly advice. This is a good investment, and taking our voices is on your interest. I don't want to rate this app with one star. I'm willing to give you five stars next time, While you have been already fixed the problem

One Stop Solution

Can’t use on IPhone-6 anymore without Updating

Please don’t make it compulsory to update the app. I can’t use it anymore on my IPhone 6 since it can’t be updated to ios13 and you aren’t allowing users to use the app without updating. Updated version requires minimum ios-13. Please consider my request.

Ads problem!

Please fix that glitch! I’m on talking and immediately the ads come to my ears that’s very disgusting for me and for all of the specters, hope to fix it because the ads it’s not once and disappeared ! After 30S it’s coming again and again and again again again!!!!!!!

I was a regular user of hallo for over 4 years But I’ve uninstalled it recently since they have removed insta match which was the only reason that i had been using this app for. I guess you gonna regret this cause majority of users are gonna leave Hallo for such update.

Like the concept of the product but the execution is poor

The teacher didn’t show up on scheduled 1on1 class and there were no any notifications or messages regarding the cancellation, no refund either.
