I can’t be the only one with this problem. Over half the time there is no sound when I try to use this app, and of course it’s useless without sound. Wrote the developer many weeks ago: still no sound. It’s a shame because it could be a really good app. Same issue with Infinite German . No sound problem with any other apps. By the way, why is there a request for my Apple password every time I open this app? Never occurs with other apps. Of course I don’t give it, and the app opens anyway.
This is a super fun app to use when learning or reviewing Spanish. Spanish is such a beautiful language and it has become very necessary to be learned as a huge population of the entire world speaks Spanish! As such, I took Spanish in high school as well as college and in absolutely loved it. Sadly, I, somehow, did not have anyone around me that could speak Spanish fluently or was learning Spanish as I was. My inability to speak Spanish with others has greatly hurt by knowledge of the language. Somehow, I can read Spanish rarely good, understand some Spanish when it is spoken, but I can barely write Spanish at all. This loss of the ability to speak such a beautiful and needed language greaves me greatly and I have attempted to re-learn Spanish on my own with the use of various apps and programs. This is the latest program I am trying to help me re-learn the Spanish language and, so far, I greatly enjoy using it and have high hopes for it performing well and addressing my needs.
This is way too simple and there’s no way to jump ahead to learn new vocabulary. It’s really only for absolute beginners since it starts with numbers. Each level takes over a minute to do and it only teaches one or two new words at a time. There are also too many ads, which is an immediate mistake. Why would they think someone would pay to unlock an app without a chance to really get a feel for how it works? Not only that, but on the third level there was suddenly no sound for some of the words. Since the entire concept is listening then tapping on the correct word, this is a terrible start. I deleted the app within ten minutes and came here to write this review.
Best way to learn a language I have found. This is after only an hour of playing and I already feel I learned more than 2 years of Spanish back in high school. Straight to the point, simple, and addicting. Best of all I’m actually learning. Much better use of time than other brain dead click games found for phones. Good job team you guys nailed this one. Everyone should have this app I see this going to the top soon.
Hello, I enjoy the app and have been learning new vocabulary however right now I give it a 3 because there is no place to contact support that I can locate. The link in the App Store just brings you to a place to download the app which makes no sense since I just clicked a link from the download location. Anyway, my support issue is for the “Countries” level. There is no sound byte for “Inglaterra” the England flag. The level is achievable simply because it’s the only flag without sound so that’s how you guess. Even under the “eye” icon menu there is no sound for England’s flag. Just wanted to inform you of the issue. Thanks!
I have tried all kinds of apps to learn Spanish, and I am hopeful that this will be the one to help me build my vocabulary while I work on grammar independently. My only problem with the app is, the words are introduced without their article (EL gato, EL perro), making it hard for first-time learners who will have to go back and learn the articles separately. I’m not exactly an advocate of gendered nouns, but since they’re ingrained into the language (for now), it’s worth considering including the articles with nouns when introducing new vocab. Just an idea to help make a great product even better!
I’m actually really impressed with this. It tests your speed and fluency so that your vocabulary evolves. I’m a level 2 Spanish speaker getting back into my groove to increase proficiency after several years off to focus on my degree and this has been great for jogging my memory as well as learning new words. In conjunction with Spanish radio/books and another app I’m using for mechanics, I’m very happy with my results.
For 4.99$ I’m hoping they add another 200 words. I do like the game style but each level of difficulty should include the more difficult Spanish words to learn, and not just make the game part harder. I understand the concept of that but easy is exactly the same as hard except the things drop faster and more frequent. But the words stay the same so you already know them by the hard level. Otherwise I like this way of learning :)
Simple and well designed. Learn basic spanish by speedy association. Probably gets more advanced as you go but I haven’t gotten very far. Can change difficulty settings. Will not become fluent in Spanish obviously, but could be very useful for direct Spanish association instead of translating to English first. Would be interesting to see if the developers can take the idea further. Keep a free ad tier for sure but man if you keep building on this basic idea it could be very profitable.
I love how it’s not a monthly subscription to it. Yes you have to pay. No nothing is free in 2018!! It’s only $4.99 and the full app is unlocked for you. NO FURTHER PURCHASES! However, there is a free version of this app which allows you to learn numbers and other basic stuff but you should definitely get this!! It is a life-saver especially when you have to learn a different language for school!
The one thing that is missing from all of the language learning apps is a fun, quick, action version to help with quick recall. This app is good for that! I won’t have you speaking Spanish in 24 hours. It won’t help your pronunciation. But if you want quick reef call of common nouns it’s excellent.
Positive: - What I like most about this app is that you learn words solely in Spanish. You are supposed to match pictures to words (either written or spoken) in Spanish only. This makes it a lot easier to speak that language because you’re not constantly translating words in your head when trying to convey your thoughts. Negative: - There aren’t that many words. This app works great for those starting in Spanish because the words they teach are very basic. However, if you want to become fluent, this can’t help you all the way through - Spanish nouns will have el/la in front of them. However that is not introduced to you. El/la are very important and learning it separately is hard work. I think this app very easy to use. This is definitely the BEST app for beginners.
This has been an awesome add on for us learning Spanish. Really fun way to get things memorized. This along with Babbel has me enjoying learning Spanish! I even recommend going back through them from time to time. It’s crazy how quick you can start to memorize things!
This app is amazing for vocabulary, especially if you’re a beginner in Spanish. I wish you could choose your level of Spanish though! I’m somewhere between beginner and intermediate and a lot of the vocab is easy for me. Being able to choose your level would be very helpful as you wouldn’t have to play through a million easy levels to get to where you are. But i guess I can consider it review :)
I’m loving this Spanish learning game. It really help my mind enjoy learning a new language. I will have to check out the other languages they have and try them too. Highly recommend. Also if you have a young child who only speaks Spanish this is a good way for the, to learn their colors, numbers, animals, etc.
This app was great and had a bunch of categories until I purchased the upgraded version. Once I paid for it all progress was reset and about 40 categories completely disappeared. There seems to be no way to actually contact anyone in support either. Hope they fix it! I recommend Duolingo also, it is a great app so far. The free version is sufficient for language learning
This app is probably one of, if not the only, app that is very knowledgeable. I like how the game focuses on pronunciation, images, and timing because I find that a lot of apps dont involve timing. But, when you have a real conversation with someone, you have to react to their question or statement on time or you’ll be off.
It is very easy to get through this app in a few days. Needs more categories. Things like question words (who what when where why), places, family, kitchen things, bathroom things and shopping should all be invited but aren’t. Love the concept though
I really like this app and think that it’s overall very good. However, some words are wrong or pronounced wrong. For example, purple is pronounced completely different as is orange. If some things could just be tweaked or maybe double checked this app would be 100% perfect.
A fun way for a new learner to learn a lot of basic words. My main issue when learning a language is not being able to apply the words I learn and I’m able to do that while playing a game make this app a fun way to practice.
Great idea but too limited. Needs more words. Needs more variety between modes. These are simple changes that could make a big difference in the usefulness of this and similar language/vocabulary learning apps. Good for learning if you are a complete beginner to a language but takes too much time too limited to be an effective app for a serious language learner.
I’m learning Spanish fairly late in life, and this app is a terrific companion to the Rosetta Stone program. It’s fun to learn/review vocabulary in a well-paced tapping game environment. Nicely done, developers! PS, I’d be happy to pay to eliminate ads, even though they’re fairly unintrusive and only 5 seconds. Please.
My Spanish told us to get the app so my dad downloaded it .😃fun too know I can speak better then before no glitches so far But if you want to learn Spanish get it😁😀😁😀😁😀
I’m 11 years old and I thought it would be cool if I could know 2 languages early on in my life because kids in other countries know American and heir own language and this is helping me I’m learning quickly
Can we have a difficulty update, and with more words. A speed run mode would be nice. This was a decent app 5 or more years ago. Word matching games are lacking on the app store. This app a nice design, but it needs a huge expansion.
This won’t teach you the language. It will possibly expand or review the vocabulary. This doesn’t teach sentences or even basic phrases. I didn’t see any verbs in the categories. Want to say: “I’m lost. Where’s the bus stop to 264 Marisol Street?” You not learning that simple question with this app. Is it worth 4.99? Probably not for me.
First off let me say that all of the one star reviews were made before the update and second off this app is great for a free app. There is minimal adds and they really expanded the types of words you can learn. Over all pretty good 👍🏻
Very fun & easy to learn a language (Spanish) starting essentials easy to harder words. Very clear pronunciation. Repetition to help remember the words. Only problem is: not enough levels.
Is Very Nice Application! NEEDS Feelings to Learn MORE
I Believe That it is a necessary Group of Words that should be added to the word groups. Is feeling For interpretation please. LIKE Sad and TIRED and Happy. Thing's Like That. Thanks🙂♥️
It's a really good app and its really fun to play I recommend this app if you're trying to learn Spanish fast and I also recommend this app if your starter! I got this app because my grandma wants me to learn Spanish so when she sees me play this she'll be really happy that I'm learning Spanish sincerely Amelie
Too basic for paying to unlock more categories for practice, there’s so much potential to add other words and make it more challenging. There’s also potential to add different ways to show understanding besides two choices for each question. Kind of a let down, honestly. To be fair I am an adult so maybe this could be better for kids.
Please add the names when new animals are being introduced so that we can connect phonetically as well as visually. It also helps build confidence that it is being pronounced correctly.
This is an amazing app! Fun and quick to learn and available in a variety of languages. The free version is actually great with only intermittent ads. Ad removable is a good deal too!
The app has potential, but the animation is way too slow and takes away from the experience. I need to wait a few seconds for every word so the content enters the screen, it’s very frustrating. Almost feels like having a bad connection and waiting for the app to load. Please fix the animation!
I was looking forward to trying this app. I downloaded and began, but there was no sound and no way to move from the initial screen. The only available instructions pop up as you tap “meteors” but the same instructions pop up every time and without sound (?? even with ??) there is no way to advance. Very frustrating.
Been playing this app for a day. It seems really cool. You can watch an add to get a free “day pass” which is nice. Definitely liking this and it’s a fun way to learn Spanish.
I really love this app! I’ve tried others from the same creators like infinite Italian and they were just as good. Please make Infinite Swedish so I can use it to learn more Swedish words!
Just so you know the game is 6.99. Why they would t just say that from the beginning is beyond me. You can’t play or learn a single thing without paying first. So just a heads up.
How many words does this teach? I would like to expand my vocabulary but I’m not a beginner. It doesn’t look like it teaches any farther than the very basics but I don’t want to spend $7 to find out.
When I saw this app I thought it was going to be a fun way to expand my skills in Spanish. Well, as it turned out there were only a few categories, such as animals and numbers, that you could do for free. I was very disappointed when I found out you have to pay for almost everything.
